Beautiful property with a good gym.

Our room was 2 doors down from restaurant. There was live music that night from 8-11pm. The music drowned out the TV, prevented any conversation, and could even be heard while in the ahower

Great quiet trip that was perfect for our Christmas getaway.

Room not that clean. Bugs in the room. Blanconybin disrepair. Restaurant staff more concerned about taking with each other than waiting on a guest. Meal billed as having coleslaw was shredded butter lettuce. A disappointment all the way around and definitely not worth the price.

Nice quiet place to stay

It was clean ,and the staff was friendly and it was in good proximity to everything.

It was very upscale and peaceful. My husband was on a towboat waiting lock turn at Wilson Lock. The hotel was so conveniently located that i could see his boat from my balcony.

The valets were very nice and hospitable. So were the staff at the front desk. My room was not as clean as it should have been. In the bathroom, I found hair droppings from the previous guest and around the commode was residue of previous guest. The AC was extremely cold to me. I tried to adjust it, even up to 85 degrees and it still remained extremely cold. I had to just turn it off to be able to stay in the room. As for breakfast, you advertise a vegetarian/vegan menu, but no printable menu exist. Would loved to have known what was available besides what was on the breakfast buffet So for breakfast, I paid $25 for 3 items off the breakfast buffet, which I did not know the cost until I finished breakfast. I did notice someone cooking at the entrance of the restaurant, but being there for the first time, I did not know whether I could have something cooked nor did I know what could be cooked. NO waiter was immediately available to help me and the room was not busy. However, I received attention from someone of the kitchen staff, who was eager to assist me, as I was pressed for time. I do try not to complain. However, I suggest being more transparent concerning pricing for meals and what is available. As you advertise a vegetarian/vegan menu, we need to know what is available. Kind regards.

This is a great hotel! There are lots of renovations happening and thats why I couldnt give the highest score on cleanliness. I will for sure return and can't wait so see the updates.

Nice place near home

The room was exactly like it was on online it was very nice. We didn’t know that you had to pay for breakfast we thought it was included like most hotels that was the only downfall but other than that it was a great experience and we will be back.

Great stay! Our daughter was crazy for the pool, even with the renovation going on. Rooms are updated and in perfect condition. Very friendly staff. Food was good too. Excellent all around.

Wonderful, relaxing Hotel!

It was my husband and mine 22nd wedding anniversary so we wanted to do a small getaway. When we arrived, everyone greeted us with smiles and very welcoming. Very clean and a wonderful atmosphere. We didn’t have a reservation to the 360 grille until 8:30, so we grabbed drinks and appetizers in the hotel restaurant “Swampers”. I will certainly be back to the Marriott Shoals. The beds were comfy, rooms were clean, and the stay was relaxing. I rarely looked at my phone and didn’t even take photos because we were just enjoying the amenities the Marriott had to offer and just enjoying ourselves. We will be back!

Waste of money to stay here for our anniversary. No pool, in room dining took an hour, wouldn’t allow us a late checkout in between our checkout and spa experience since we couldn’t use any other facility amenities we had to leave the property and kill time to come back to the spa. Then can’t use the spa whirlpool because of lighting? Got stuck at 360 grille because they turned off the elevators as we were leaving to test fire alarms. Not worth the $1000 we spent in 24 hours.

Nice hotel and very pleasant staff. There was some construction work going on but it did not inconvenience us.

Pool and Restaurant/Bar Closed

We did not know the renovation was happening and had planned dinner in the swampers bar, and it was entirely closed inside and out, and certainly did not know the pool was under renovation and completely closed as well. Rams are beautiful and certainly appreciated that nice surprise with them being renovated.

Such a spectacular hotel! Beautifully appointed, well designed, and the room is themed with music history and paraphernalia. There's so much to see and do around the place. We had a really good time.

Best couple getaway in a great location

The hotel and the staff was amazing. The spa was one of the best we have experienced. And the 360 Grille attached was incredible! My wife and I will definitely make it back here soon!

Shoals Marriott is coming home to my family. While we no longer live there, we did for 30 years. Our recent stay was for the wedding of a dear friend's daughter. Hospitality is defined with your stay here. We were greeted at the desk by name which is always comforting. First night had 4 year old grandson with us. When traveling with a youngster its hard. No room service made that part mildly more challenging but I understand the service industry is going through challenges and changes. Of course it didn't hurt my a$$ to carry him down and pick it up, just different. Overall, 5*, awesome, thank you.

Came here for a weekend away with friends. We got there at 12 so we could use the pool until our room was ready. Front desk was so helpful and our room was even ready early. Rooms are great. Beds are comfortable and bathroom is nice and large. So nice having a balcony. The pool is so nice. Didnt try the food but a lot of people were and it looked good. Bar drinks are good but very expensive. Overall, we had a great stay and i would definitely go back.

Indoor and outdoor pool option was nice. The menu seletion and being able to get it late was great.

Hotel nice but restaurant service slow and room service didn't show up and eventually cancelled.

35th Anniversary trip

I booked this for my mom and dad for their 35th wedding anniversary and they said it was the best stay best sleep. They even had dinner at the 360 Grille and breakfast at Swampers both of which were fantastic.

We love this property. It feels away from everything, no traffic noise. All is great. One thing did annoy us, At 10:30am a very very loud knock on the door from housekeeping. We had to answer for her to go away. We know check out is at 11:00

Great time..hotel was perfect

Everything you need all on the premises, such as good food, beverages, live singing, wonderful spa, excellent room service, easy/close access to other entertainment as well

The indoor pool and hot tub was great and that is where I was most of the time. I was charged $450 dollars for room damages that was not done by me. So with that being said the 1 night stay cost me $800. The only reason I book a room is because storms in our area caused a tree to fall on my house and knocked out power. The company I work for has a partnership with them and we receive special rates due to all of the visitors we have from Japan. So I am sure once this has been informed of happening they are not going to be happy. If I could receive a refund for the extra charge it wouldn't hurt my feelings. Pretty sure I will not be booking with them again.

What a hidden jewel. My wife and I were on Country Boys World Tour themed vacation which included a stop in Florence for some Muscadine Wine. The property, accommodations, staff and amenities could not have been more amazing. Over 1,700 miles, 4 states, 5 cities and countless memories. This stop was a shinning star. Thank you Marriott Shoals for making an already terrific vacation that much better.

Check in was quick and easy. The hotel was Beautiful and very clean!!! We will definitely be back

Great stay, but….

My wife and I have stayed there on several occasions and always have enjoyed the place. There are so many amenities to mention that are great. This time, we stayed on the opposite side than where we have always been placed. I noticed several places in the room that needed repair. Then at 8:30 on a Sunday morning, they had construction going on outside our room. Luckily we were already awake. Overall, we had a great time and will continue to use this hotel.

Didn't like the showers no water pressure---couldn't get wet! People were nice area was fine.

roaches on balcony ceiling, silverfish in tub, room was far away from elevator and they did not have luggage carts for use w/o valet, no breakfast bar included and at the restaurant they brought salt and pepper shakers w/2 peppers, the next shaker was sugar and finally a salt shaker...told 2 servers and no one checked them out

Everything you need in one location!!!

The hotel is amazing! Everyone was very friendly, and it was so clean! The bed was not as comfortable as I would have liked, but everything else made up for it. I will highly recommend this hotel to everyone visiting the area! The young lady, with blonde hair (I think her name was Destiny) in the coffee and tea shop, gave the BEST customer service over all others the entire time we were there. She makes the best customized coffee order, and each time we visited, it was perfect!! The food at Swampers restaurant was wonderful, but the dine in wait staff was very slow, and did not impress me much. The to go order was much faster, and that’s how we discovered the coffee shop, so it was definitely a win!! The pool area was very nice, and clean. We missed the 360 Grille, but will make it next trip!! Best place in the area with everything you need in one location.

This property is beautiful. The pool area is awesome. It's location makes it far enough away to be quiet, but close enough to have access to dining and shopping.

well my wife is a ambutee with one leg an they had me on the 5 floor at the every end room witch was really far away an when it come to the seveivce there really all snoody the door open was proply the best nicest ppl there

Beach Resort without the beach.

This was like being at the beach without the beach. The kids had an absolute blast and so did we. Loved the pool bar and Swampers. They had live music both nights we stayed. We visited the 360 grill it was expensive but a great experience as well. Several golf options and your close to anything you want. There was a mega splash pad and playground within walking distance. Great value and a perfect weekend getaway.

Not very happy at all

When my son went to lay down they were 2 black spiders that fell out when he pulled cover down my 5 year old is very sensitive to sound, something this place needs to consider with lots of children. 3 times after 10 pm some type of sound/noise was echoed through the room by I'm assuming the fire call on the wall. This scared her and it took her along time to calm down.

It was beautiful

The hotel and experience overall were great! My only complaint was that housekeeping never came to our room for a three night stay even when I requested new towels our second night there.

The place is perfect. You dont have to leave unless you want to go shopping and sight seeing. Loved our stay! Girl trip with no kids!

Anniversary Weekend

Our anniversary weekend and we had such a good time. Front desk staff friendly and answered all of our questions. The bar staff were all smiles and layed back, drink prices were reasonable. The pizza was amazing! Very relaxing stay. Will definitely stay again.

The bellmen are very helpful

The hotel is old and dated. Definitely has a musty smell and feel to it. Got to our room and moved the foot stool to sit in the chair and found a dirty sock. The bed/ pillows/ covers were average and bathroom was probably the nicest thing about the room but no vent fan. They basically hide the coffee maker and only give enough for 1 regular cup of coffee. It was fine but for $300 /night it should be better than fine. I won't be back.
