Quiet and clean and safe

This is the 2second time we use the hotel and convention center for an event. The Hotel does not have the staff to handle the amount of people they book. They book back to back event and can not turn the rooms around fast enough. The rooms are not cleaned and can not check in un till almost 7 pm at night. We had an event in the convention center and came from out of town. This delay made us late as we could not get ready in our room. Not to mention the extra stress that this adds when you have a schedule and a large group.

Great stay at the hotel with two rooms adjacent to each other with a connecting door. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Enjoyed looking at all the Christmas lights and decorations.

Disappointing experience

My family and I booked two rooms for Christmas Eve and added an extra night to enjoy the property and the Festival of Lights in Riverside. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. At check-in, the receptionist was kind and provided connecting rooms with perks for being Bonvoy members. However, one room’s bathroom was dirty, and the furniture was dusty. We had to request cleaning supplies to address the issue ourselves. The following day, I confirmed with the same receptionist that extending checkout to noon on the 26th wouldn’t be an issue. Yet, when I called to confirm, another staff member said only one room could be extended, despite my membership and the property being visibly underbooked. This arrangement was highly inconvenient, as having one room check out at 11 a.m. while the other checked out at noon disrupted our plans. Additionally, breakfast service was frustratingly slow and inconsistent, with conflicting information about the hours. These issues—poor cleanliness, understaffing, and lack of consistency—marred what was supposed to be a memorable family holiday. This stay was far below my expectations and prior experiences at this Marriott property, leaving me uncertain about returning in the future. I had stayed at this property before and had a great experience, which is why I wanted to return with my family. However, after this disappointing stay, I’m unsure about returning to this Marriott property in the future. My family and I ended up before 11am

The staff were amazing, and my room was comfortable. It did show some wear…cracks in the transom into the bathroom for instance. There was no ice machine in my floor as was indicated. I’d definitely stay again, but maybe not at the rate I was charged.

Stay in Riverside, CA

The property was located in a location we needed. The lobby is clean and modern. We were on the 8th floor. The hallway carpet was dirty and in need of vacuuming. The room was decent sized, big shower, and the bed was decent, not great but not amazing. For one night it worked. The remote had such a delay that it was difficult to use. No carpet in the room which was nice but showed the dust and dirt in the room. Overall our stay was good and we would stay again. Front desk girls were polite and friendly.

There should be a mini fridge in all the rooms.

The property was good as was the service. What I didn’t appreciate was being charged for parking at 30.00 per night And! For WiFi at 12.00 per day!! Never have I paid for either, when using the parking and WiFi of a Hotel. Talk about nickle and diming a guest!! I won’t be staying there again!

Hotel was nice and clean. Movie channels were terrible. Connection was really bad and we couldn't finish a movie with the kids because it was lagging all night. Dinner service was really nice, breakfast service not so good. Few people helping the guests and it took forever to get someone to bring coffee and juice to our table.

When I arrived at the hotel when I check in I realized that I didn’t book the hotel for 2 more nights and I wanted to add another night. I understand that was an error on my end but the receptionist at that time advised me that they could not add another room due to all the suites being filled. I was also told I could not add any additional nights due to that exact room being booked for those 2 nights I was requesting. As I settled my luggage in my room I went on my phone and found 2 reservation available (hotels) on the third party app and 3 rooms available on the actual hotel website. I added them with no assistance from the very rude unhelpful receptionist down stairs. As I was going to check out and check in for my second stay yet again I was treated with another rude receptionists who hardly gave me any information. I thought they were going to give me another suite but instead they let me stay in the same room which what I originally asked for but was denied due to false information and the staff not wanting to assist me at the time of my check in. The second receptionist at the time then went to add do you know the rate of the room for the 2 additional night very sarcastically and very rudely making it seem that I could not afford a suite due to being Hispanic. I just want to add that there is a difference of informing how much the rate is and judging and making rude comments. The room tv remote didn’t work. Pillows had no fluff. Poor water pressure no tissues in box.

We recently had a fantastic one-night stay at the Marriott on Sun Oct 13-14 and I can't say enough about the exceptional customer service I received. From the moment I walked in, the young man at the front desk made me feel welcome. His friendly demeanor and genuine enthusiasm were refreshing, and he went above and beyond to ensure my check-in process was smooth. He took the time to listen to our concerns and demonstrate genuine understanding. The room was immaculate and comfortable, but it was his attentiveness that truly made the difference. This young man exemplified what great customer service should be, and it made my stay memorable. I’ll definitely return to this Marriott!

All staff members were accessible and professional, hotel was very welcoming and clean inside and outside. This was the first time that we were in riverside for a concert. But we will return for more stays.

Clean, comfortable rooms. Neighbors in room nextdoor were a little loud until about midnight, but not the fault of the hotel. Convenient location.

I was very disappointed when I checked in. I had paid for my hotel room already and they insisted on a debit or credit card. I had just driven from LA in 2 hour traffic to have to turn back to get my debit card and drive another 2 hours! When I travel I use Apple Pay, why they didn’t except it??

We got to the hotel after making a reservation through hotels.com like we always do, after an 8 hour drive in a heatwave to the worst customer service we’ve ever had in a hotel. Natalie (manager or something) said we couldn’t check in even after seeing the receipt with the payment and reservation and having my ID and credit card. She said we needed to wait for the hotels.com payment to do something. It could take up to one hour. She never said “I am sorry” or showed any sign of empathy for us being exhausted trying to get to the room that we PAID FOR. We travel a lot and we stay in multiple hotels all over this country, and I’ve been using the app hotels.com for years and we never had a situation like that! Ever! In any other hotel chain they always allowed us to start bringing our stuff to the room even if the app is slow or, or they make the reservation manually and update it later. We never had issues! She raised her voice to me - with a smile on her face, of course! Awful terrible customer service. Then when we finally got to the room the mini fridge wasn’t working. I had to call her twice for her to send a new one to the room. We are traveling cross country so we carry coolers with food. So on top of terrible check in experience and having to wait we had to wait and call and wait more for a new fridge. Also the WiFi is paid (15 dollars a day). And the breakfast can only be eaten there, you can’t grab something and take it to the room. Also the room Had dirty spots.

Great Stay!

The stay was perfect as it was directly across from the convention center. The only issue I had was late check-out. It wasn't clear that late checkout requests were on a first-come, first-serve basis. Other than that, I had no complaints and I would stay there again.

Marriot stays are always great. Clean. Comfortable beds and the drinks are great at the bar.

Easy and fast check in

Nice hotel but not a safe area

Parking garage had security issues. Cars tires were stolen in middle of the night. Doors to hotels said they were supposed to lock at 11pm but were wide open to the public past midnight. Room was clean and comfortable and service was good. Wouldn't return due to security issues. Don't feel safe.

Central location made walking downtown easy

Going on a cruise we wanted a hotel close to the airport and port. Love this hotel. Pricing is fair, staff is extremely friendly and the room was very clean. Even better, Champions Sports Grill is in the building and we had a good meal after traveling all day!

What is up-scale?

The staff is wonderful, and the property is very well-maintained. A pleasure to stay there but...buyer beware. Self-parking is $30 per night. Wi-Fi is available for additional charge. Breakfast buffet is delicious and ample, but if you want a cup of coffee & a roll, you might be better off walking to one of the nearby restaurants. The buffet is $24 plus tax per person. California up-scale prices. Additionally, there was the noise & bustle of an Anime convention on premises for the weekend...not an up-scale bonus.

Parking nightmare

Overall the friendliness of the staff made things better, but I paid 60 dollars in parking , and trying to park was a nightmare, the with the cost of the room and parking together there is no way we should of experienced that type of issue , I had my wife and kid with me and felt unsafe .

Room was ok however, but a lot of little things that add up To make your stay more annoying than pleasant. There was no trash can in the bathroom where the toilet was. Since the shower was separate from the toilet, you would think they would actually put the large body towels near the shower, but they put them with the toilet instead. There was no charger or outlet for a charger on one side of the bed so my husband had to charge his phone across the room. There was a coffee maker, but no coffee to make in the maker. I’ve never been to a hotel where the Wi-Fi is not free and they charge for Wi-Fi. Also, the downstairs bar had no sitting area or even high top tables, so I’m not really sure where you were supposed to take your drink ordering at the bar. No pool towels you had to take your towels from your room and use those so we had to order more towels for our room. Just seemed very cheap for a Marriot…

I like that the hotel is close to the convention center and walking distance to downtown.

Family visit

Great stay ! Nice area downtown, very walkable. Food everywhere in walking distance. Right in front convention center, very close to Mission Inn. I’m staying here every time i visit. Only issue was the parking garage elevator which we almost got stuck in, but they sent someone over immediately

The room Smell awful! Restaurants at the hotel most of the time. So disappointed

It was over priced for the area and value. The wi fi and parking were additional. I have not paid extra for wi fi in years.

Was in town for a conference and stayed at this Marriott location. The surrounding area was great, and the service at this hotel was notably excellent at the bar and restaurant I had dinner at twice while in town. My only complaint has to do with the rooms, which were wood or laminate flooring with two very small rugs on either side of the bed! It made the room feel sterile and not very cozy…they should put full sized rugs under the beds to properly anchor the room and give it some warmth.

They missed cleaning our room 2 times out of our 7 night stay. Also my husband's pants went missing for some reason. The management did nothing about this except give us free breakfast.
