Very accesible to CBD. Very pleasant stay.
A basic hotel, good for work related travel as opposed to leisure.
The property on level 22 the food smell in our room is so strong all day and night, feels that the room in a kitchen with non stop cooking, also parking in building is very bad, very very narrow and you need to be really careful otherwise you will scratch your car.
The room was neat clean and just what we needed for our overnight stay. But that damn carpark! Pull your mirrors in and be prepared to have a couple of goes to get though the skinny pathways littered with obtrusive columns!
This property is tired. While the room was a generous size and the bed was comfortable, the furniture was old and everything seemed run down. For what we were charged, we felt that we didn't come close to getting value for money.
Clean room. Just wasn't aware of the $200 security deposit that they ask for when you get there and when you leave they only deposit it within 3 days. When travelling can be inconvenient if not made aware. Also left my medication in the hotel and they said they would post it to me but I would have to pay the postage which just altogether was bad service. Also the cafe entry point we're strange we had to order outside like walk around the whole thing even though we were a guest. Bit confusing.
Brilliant room. Great staff. Very friendly and helpful. Great location. Will stay again.
The restaurant was under renovation & price of room was expensive for the outdated apartments and limited facilities. It really needs a revamp! I won't be staying again!
All good except for the blockout curtains which weren’t wide enough to block out the sunlight! My wife also prefers flexible shower heads rather than the traditional fixed ones.
Staff were lovely and so helpful l loved the location and view would happily stay here again Rena Harris
10/10
Nice clean apartment, great for couples or working stays
For $120 per night, this would be a good hotel, though I spent good money ($322) based on its write up and pictures only be met with a run down building, well overdue for refurbishment. It was cold, dirty and it stinks. The beds are uncomfortable and the shower is great if you are three feet tall. I don't recommend, and I will never visit again.
Disgusting like a hostel Checked in and then straight away checked out
Great place to stay
Great service
I was looking for a clean, comfortable hotel for the night in a convenience location for business purposes at a reasonable price. The hotel met all of this, however the service was 6 star. Reception staff were incredible when I advised I was arriving early and assisted me with parking so I could make a meeting. Then on check-out I requested an extension due to tele-meetings I had scheduled and again were terrific in providing me with an extension. Room was clean, comfortable and everything I needed
The rooms were clean and tidy
The rooms need to be badly updated. Light coming in from around the door at night was bright so made it hard to sleep. Very basic for the price
Avoid room 1002
Small pokey room overlooking rusty iron roof, bathroom door awkward to close when you went in due to space/configuration, hot water jug had something crusted into bottom of it so couldn't use, had to get the hot iron replaced (as bottom was filthy with brown muck from lack of cleaning) before I could iron my clothes - I'm sure other rooms may have been better & more spacious or nicer but mine wasn't a great experience.
Paid for one of the 'nicer' rooms. The floor smelt like stale vomit, the wifi didn't work, the clothes dryer didn't work and the parking was full. I was then redirected to another carpark which cost $138 for 2 days. And anytime any of these issues were brought to the counter staffs attention. Nothing happened. My room and parking for 2 adults cost around $850 for 2 nights. Biggest rip off I've ever experienced with a hotel. After complaining to the staff, I was told they'll be in contact to rectify it but still no phone call. Do yourself a favour and choose somewhere else, the Mantra on Queen is 3 star at best
Our room was ok, great view but I think I paid extra for that. The rooms bathroom was tiny and had ants in it. We only had 2 towels when we booked for 3 guests. It’s on a noisy street with a pub below and the windows don’t reduce the noise. No parking so had to park down the road and walk back. No restaurants on site or breakfast. The pool area and exterior of building is very run down. Staff were ok, not super friendly. Would not come back again.
Great service small carpark
Kent at reception is a star. Very professional and made us feel welcome from the start.
Although it's called Mantra on Queen, the main entrance is not on Queen Street but around the back. I would not have felt comfortable returning to the hotel after dark due to the area and poorly lit access. On the good side, it was beautifully clean, and the bed was supremely comfortable. I also really appreciated the quality toiletries in sustainable (refillable) bottles.
Comfortable beds, clean and soundproof rooms. Friendly and professional staff. Perfect location if visiting Johnny Ringos as it’s right next door basically.
Arrived at 3:30pm to be told that there was a problem with our room and that we would have to go to another hotel. Staff did arrange alternative hotel but were unfriendly and offered no compensation for the inconvenience.
An entire unit with kitchen and washing machine and room to move around, was much better than just having a bedroom with kitchenette - which I have previously booked elsewhere. Can always count on Mantra to be consistent and comfortable. Loved the sauna and the location close to the River and walking tracks as well as the city. A great place to stay for work or pleasure.
Disappointing cold unclean don't recommend
Room unclean Very cold heating not adequate Said would have portable heater available then said none Requested walk in shower then was given a bath over shower only.... couldn't shower at all then
I had a great apartment, plenty of space with a fabulous view. Comfortable couch and bed.
The girl on the front desk was talking about another customer (BIG NO NO) Who is actually my friend. I did not appreciate her exaggerating the story and what actually happened! Secondly, the locked at midnight and couldn't get in or out. I had an emergency at home with my son and my partner tried to get out but couldn't! Will never stay here again or recommend it. I own a day spa and will be advising everyone the same
When we came home after dinner, our hotel door was left wide open (not by us) and the room had been entered into, bed used, bathroom used. Very scary experience.
Could do with a remodel. Very out dated but clean and tidy.
Good location. Neat and well appointed room
good location
I liked that it was easy to access all of Brisbane from their and to leave to go into Queensland either North or South from that piont.
Hi, Following a review with Expedia on Friday evening, Matthew from reception reached out with the below; I am able to offer you an upgrade to one of our newly refurbished 1 bedroom river views for no additional cost. We had gone out to lunch and they rang and said our room was ready and they needed our current room, so I said they could move our belongings. However when we returned we found that the room was of the same basic rundown quality of the previous room, and in fact if anything was smaller that the one we had moved from. It most certainly had NOT been refurbished, and if anything was a downgrade. They moved us from room 2703 to 2905. Yes we had a balcony, but given it’s probably just about large enough to actually stand on and we never used, or would have wanted to. Yes they allowed us to park in their car park for the last night, we had already paid $35 for a nights parking in some offsite car park. Incidentally there seemed to be plenty car parks available in the car park. So all in all a very disappointing end to our 5 day stay in Brisbane. Not impressed at all… Ken
Clean facilities and good location, feels dated but provides everything you need to have a comfortable stay at a reasonable price. Wouldn’t recommended bringing a large vehicle as parking is tight. However we did have a great stay and staff are very accommodating. Woolworths is just across the road for all your shopping requirements.
The location was fantastic and easy access to Story Bridge, restaurants, and the Queen Street Mall. Staff were fabulous and went out of their way to ensure our needs were met. As a result we had a great weekend and highly recommend for others. Will stay again in the future.
Very clean Friendly
I made a late booking the night before for my daughter to stay for her 21st birthday, the room was on the 21st floor and the view was amazing as was the king bed all to herself:)
The staff member that was on Patra was helpful and so nice couldn’t help but to buy her a bottle of wine she she was so nice I will be back
Great stay
A wonderful stay as always, great location, friendly staff, clean amd comfortable
Helpful staff room was clean and tidy
Wonderful views
The mattress was hard and uncomfortable, the pillows were flat. The wifi signal was terrible, everytime I connected to it, it would drop out in a matter of minutes. Apart from that, it was a great apartment with wonderful views.
Lots of dust in the air cons, we had to move rooms from our original. The staff were really nice though. Definitely needs updating as everything is pretty old. Other than that it was fine.
Great location
Did not have a pleasant experience. They told me I didn’t have a booking and acted like it was my fault and didn’t take notice of who I had booked with of the fact that payment had done through. Was pushed to the side to wait for an hour and the communication how they were going to solve the problem was unclear unhelpful and not very understanding. I had to approach them again to see what was going on. Was told someone would call me to discuss what the mishap was but no one did. Ended waiting in a friends room till they could find me one. Didn’t get one till 4pm with check in was 2pm. They were overly apologetic at all. Just so disappointing
super gross and dirty. whole room spelt like mould. we cancelled our booking after seeing the room and went somewhere else
Great location and room
Great room, quiet, reasonably priced and lovely view. Convenient location to both the city and Fortitude Valley. Only problem was that the onsite carpark was full when we arrived so had to find alternative parking, but this is plentiful so not a huge problem.
Be aware of the panned tv music. Great staff.
Wonderful staff but ... this was a Xmas present from our young sons, 3 nights away. First night we could hear this music continuously playing wasnt sure where it was coming from. By 5am we felt we had a bad case of jet lag. Went down to reception early to let reception know. Long story short was Panned music from the tv in empty room next door, was then turned off until our last night .Rang reception at 10.30 pm to ask if anyone was going to be in the next room and if not could they turn if off again. Which they did did within half an hour. Don’t usually complain but this is the only thing which put a damper on the whole trip. Parking was abit tight wouldn’t recommend a 4 wheel drive in there but parks were available, which is $20 per night. Close to Woolworths, chemist & bottle shop. Bus route is good to Southbank also. Staff are very nice.
Very helpful Rooms that are on website had balcony, Ok he one they reserved for us just a room But we asked and they gave us the balcony one no charge
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. One bed apartment was lovely, good view, comfortable bed and clean. On-site parking is very tight but manageable. Alternative parking across the park and a short 5 min walk is also available.
Location is good, close to heaps of cool bars. Not a hard place to.locate
Stayed one night in a 1 bedroom, king bed room. Bedroom only had a Queen bed which is disappointing when your used to sleeping in a king and book a king. Unit was ok, was all we needed for night in town, great location to Howard Smith Wharves. Clean and comfortable. Parking - warning ⛔️ do Not take a big car, the parking is terrible, very very tight turns with big poles and the only guest spots you can park in (maybe 2 on each floor) are in the hard to manoeuvre spots, we had a big 4wd and I nearly needed therapy after parking.
Good accommodation for the price
Friendly staff and good accommodation for the price
river view room was ok but it would be more of a partial view. nothing bad
I asked to reserve a car park, and there was no park when I arrived. Disappointed with that. Was happy to pay for it. No point requesting a car park 24 hours before if there isn't one when you arrive.
Great place to stay however we had issues with the key not working, 3 times we had to go to reception as our let wouldn’t work
The staff were very helpful and friendly Thank you
Only weekly room service If you needed extra soap etc you had to ask reception
Good fun playing Jenga, welcoming staff. Good location for river restaurants
staff makes the difference
Staff were excellent
Property was fine. 1 Bed apartment had heaps of room. Was disappointed to find that the Queen bed was 2 singles pushed together. And Bed were a uncomfortable as I could feel the springs underneath.
Well below par of other Mantra properties. Small rooms, uncomfortable beds.
Within walking distance of everything we needed. Staf were very friendly and welcoming
very spacious rooms.loved the river veiw. The door was very heavy to open . found the carpark was very tight to drive in, had to go in opposite lane to get out ,difficult finding a park for large 4wd and then could not get bags out unless n middle of carpark
We arrived staff good went to room.I have a bad knee so I had ask for a walk in shower.Went back to reception could not find a room for us until the next day.Went back to room found no power in the room.We very up graded to a lovely room with a view it was my birthday thanks to the staff
Great place to stay
We regularly stay here. Walking distance to Chinatown or the city. Value for money.
Very enjoyable stay
Great position for our party at Howard smith wharves. The room on the 5 Th floor had a great balcony looking out on queen st and boundary with a cute little green park And was very spacious.. The swimming pool was right next to our room . Very convenient! It was handy having the car park there but I wouldn’t have like to squeeze a car bigger then mine in! Very small space and sharp corners . ( I have a corolla !)
Room was very clean and hotel is in a great location. The alarm clock was flashing but the time couldn’t be changed, which was annoying. Also the air conditioning couldn’t be adjusted. As this was summer in Queensland, it was set to freezing. I ended up switching it off so I could sleep but had to leave my verandah doors open as it got so hot in the room. Would stay again though because the location suits me.
Everything was great l give it 10 out of 10 l Highly recommend anybody to stay there
First stay at Mantra on Queen
I loved our stay at the Mantra, I especially liked the breakfast that was supplied wow! What a smorgasbord of food.
Good location and nice room. Asked for our towels to be replaced. Not only did they not replace towels room was not serviced either. Difficult to contact reception from room dialing 9. Tried 4 times before we got an answer
overnight stay
Short and sweet to met friends
It was great, room was clean and comfortable and just what my friend and I required, with a great breakfast thrown in! We will be back. Thank you
Mouldy bathroom
The room itself was reasonably clean bathroom it was mould everywhere
Central location pleasant staff. Comfortable bed with plenty of pillows
Check in was relatively quick, however there is limited parking available in the hotel car park. This was noted in the listing, but the front desk staff member had trouble naming and providing information about alternative car parks that could be used - was only able to give directions to one, which we parked at, and were charged $66 for an overnight park about 500m from the hotel. Perhaps a list of alternative car parking areas with directions, distances and prices would be useful for staff to provide visitors. Hotel was also advertised as having “free WiFi” however was advised on check in that was only for members of their loyalty program. Considering parking bumped up our overnight stay to over $250, I probably could have booked a more modern stay elsewhere. That being said, the hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. Our booking included a buffet breakfast which was good quality with a variety of options. It only cost us $10 to Uber to Southbank and it’s within walking distance of lots of nice eateries and bars.
Excellent location
Excellent location and walking distance to everywhere central
Very comfortable, lovely staff. Room was a touch noisy due to other inconsiderate guests. Hallways act as a sound tunnel, would suggest better acoustic treatment on walls. I would still recommend.
Adjoining room was very loud but thats cause they were right next door but otherwise lovely stay
We booked 2 rooms on the one booking an the rooms were on the same floor but in separate Suites which we though was odd. Both rooms had lights that didn't work and poor lighting in general. In one of the Rooms there was an infestation of Cockroaches (at least ten were seen and we also left 2 live under glasses so the cleaners could see them) which meant no sleep as at every turn there was another one. We did advise the employee when checking out and she was going to get a Manager to call but we have yet heard nothing....
Great stay!
Excellent stay, very quiet and very clean. Allowed my friend to check in on behalf of us last minute
Great location! The apartment Is a bit dated and couch was stained and few of the light not working and tv need updating. The apartment was very clean but dated.
I like the room. Very neat and tidy. It was close to the Cathedral I visited. The hospitality side (food, and dining) was non existent. Waited for 10 minutes in the evening to get someone on reception to change my non functioning key.
Great location. Quiet and convenient. Great sfaff.
Thankyou for being cool with 10 x 18 year old boys. They had a blast and were very appreciative of their freedom.
Excellent clean tidy central to everwhere in Brisbane we needed to go to
Only a short walk to get to the work event. Very friendly and helpful staff.
The rooms are dated and need a revamp bathrooms small
Very convenient for our purposes last weekend. Clean and comfortable
Not recommended. (50 AUD per night is its value)
Cockroach found from the Sewer. Smell really disgusting. No free Wifi, no free water. 100 dollar per night is not worth it. stayed in Sydney 3 times but this hotel was the worst. I think they need a renovation in room and sewer system
Good bed, clean and central so pnly a walk to everything. The young girl at tecepton was very friendly and helpful. Hatd to fault the place for the price 😎
Pleasant atmosphere friendly staff good bed clean rooms
One night stop over
Enjoyed the location. Plenty of cafes and eateries.
The hotel is in a great location for getting around the city. The staff are amazing the rooms are great. The car park is tighter than a nuns ninny, so it’s a nightmare to park, navigate and leave if you have a medium sized car or bigger. For some reason my hotel room didn’t have hot water in the shower, I don’t know why but it didn’t I presume this was special to my room as I didn’t notice anyone talking to the staff about it.
Great service, very easy to walk to local bars and restaurants
Very pleasant friendly staff with comfortable room
Spotlessly Clean, very quiet, excellent customer service, well located in the heart of Brisbane
Poor service
Extremely poor and disengaged customer service.
