The mantra is in a fantastic central location. Clean and welcoming.
Great hotel. Very spacious rooms. Friendly staff and great location. Worth the price.
Very central area to go shopping and dining
This is a very nice apartment hotel located within steps of Darling Harbour. It’s also located near restaurants, shopping, public transit - everything you need. The perfect base for a stay in Sydney. I will absolutely stay again and recommend it to other travellers.
We stayed here for 5 nights. Front desk staff were kind and courteous, easy to request late checkout/early check-in. Room was clean and spacious. King bed is, as has been the case in most of Australia, two twins pushed together. Locations is very good, near The old downtown and darling harbour with lots of shopping nearby. Only disappointment was the breakfast. Charging 30$(25 if booked the night before) for their extremely bare offerings for breakfast is beyond the pale. I’m used to hotels overcharging for meals, but honestly, this was another level. Perhaps unsurprisingly we chose not to eat here after seeing the offerings.
Perfect location for Sydney' explorers and the tourists.
Great location next to Darling Harbour. Easy to walk to Town Hall train station and Sydney Opera House. Room had everything we needed, was spacious and clean.
Back for more
I recently stayed at this apartment, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The location was fantastic—right in the heart of the city, with everything within walking distance. The view from the apartment was absolutely breathtaking, offering a stunning panorama that made mornings even more enjoyable. The facilities were top-notch, with modern, well-maintained appliances and plenty of space to relax and unwind. The only minor issue I encountered was with the TV. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to access any streaming services like Netflix, YouTube, or Stan, and the cable didn’t seem to work as expected. That said, this was a small hiccup compared to the overall fantastic experience. I’d definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located stay with great amenities.
Great location, roomy, tidy, powerful shower
Location Good location within easy walking distance of everything.
The breakfast is terrible. Eggs are dry, bacon is oily and soggy the bacon. But overall there’s very few options to eat. $30 is ridiculous for this offer.
Very good location, but average property for the price they charge.
Great location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable. Will stay again.
great
A little old.
I booked a room for 3 people. Those 3 people were wanting to sleep in separate beds. 2 single beds were provided but the 3rd was a fold out couch. Not impressed for 3 nights. Same towels for 3 days without being changed. Not impressed.
The room was sub par for the cost. The accomodation is basic and dated. There was a clump of black hair in the corner of the shower. Limited coffee for a 4 day stay. Old building, lifts, fridge. No view. For the price I expected a little more. I would not stay again.
Dont need the aboriginal statement in the foyer. We voted against it. Stick to you core business and leave the politics out of it. Everything else was great.
Was central to everything we wanted to do. Everything was walking distance and good options for last minute food and activities
The room is clean and when I requested for new towels no issue for them. The servers in the restaurant gave us excellent service. Choi was especially nice and friendly. I’ll recommend your hotel to my friends.
Real fast was awesome
The staff were generally excellent. Reception staff were particularly good, as were the breakfast helpers. Loved the breakfast - food was fresh and appealing, dining room very nice. I didn't particularly like the coffee unfortunately. My room had a couple of areas that weren't really clean - one area in the bathroom in particular. Access to transport, Darling Harbour and QVB is fabulous.
This place was excellent and we would stay there again. They were so accommadating and really lovely staff. My only complaint would be the bathroom sinks are rather small so there would be water on the floor after.
Spacious studio, perfect for overnight stay. Loved the view. Bath washer and dryer in room is a real plus
For a four day stay, I was surprised that they didn’t offer to make up the room and seemed grumpy when we asked if it could be done. We asked for two beds, and we got a bed and a fold out couch, the couch had no linen, we had to make the couch up ourselves. Still haven’t gotten our security deposit back. Called twice and told someone will get back to us.
Great location and friendly staff
Could use more dishes and cutlery in kitchen
Convenient location and proximity to public transport
Really need fans in bathrooms.

Mantra on Kent was 10/10… minutes from restaurants on darling harbour .. minutes from light rail, buses and the train straight to and from the airport… very comfortable king size bed, kitchenette, all we needed for a week stay…highly recommend this apartment…
The front deak staff was super helpful when our oven didn't work.
Nice hotel in central location
Nice apartment equipped with everything we required. The only downfall was an extremely uncomfortable sofa bed which was hard as a rock and sloped so badly that I had to sleep the wrong way around so I didn't slide into the middle of the bed, which made for a very bad night's sleep. Definitely needs to be replaced.
Easy walk to Town Hall station and Darling Harbour. Parking station next door. No traffic noise except for noisy motorbikes.
We stayed in a studio in the 25th floor with fantastic views. The accommodation was excellent - plenty of room and very clean . Staff very helpful . The location is great between Darling Harbour and Circular Quay . A short walk around the corner takes you to the tram to Curcular Quay . Thoroughly recommend this Mantra. Oh yes the breakfast was Ali really good .
So close to the city
Excellent reception staff, very helpful & friendly!
New Years Eve
Great location very close to Darling Harbour, we stayed for 5 nights over NYE. We were on 19 th floor and could see a tiny part of Darling Harbour. As we were travelling around Oz for 6 weeks, it was a huge benefit having a washing machine and separate dryer in the bathroom. Shower was in the bath not separate. Apartment was a good size. Only negative was the bed, it was extremely uncomfortable. We had a super king, which was 2 singles together, the one on my side had definitely seen its best days. Would stay here again.
Good customer experience
I have booked a room with laundry before the trip as per my search information. However, during check in I was told no laundry available. I requested at least nearby laundry facility information at least for few days but unable to provide such places. On the day of my check out before check in again after a few days, I addressed my inconvenience with laundry issue. The Front desk clarified the room I chose didn't have laundry but other rooms were available with laundry and kind enough to upgrade the room for me. I thought the entire building didn't have laundry facility. This is what I call a nice customer experience who not only clarified the availability of the laundry but assisted me swiftly with the upgrade. I was at peace for rest of my stays until 12/20/2023.
The front desk staff were friendly and helpful with all our questions. Josh, in particular, went above and beyond by coming up and fixing the washing machine after maintenance had closed for the evening. The property is very austere with no pictures, no dressers or end tables. No drawers for foldable clothing or underwear. To much overhead lighting and not enough table lamps. Instant coffee and kcup coffee was undrinkable.
Spacious, clean, and close to Darling Harbour and tram and train lines. Only missing a dishwasher.
Close to Darling Harbour & Circular Quay and all that these areas have to offer.
Really handy location for a quick city stay, easy parking right next door (paid separately). Great space inside for 2 adults toddler, needed the separate room to put them to bed while we sat up in the lounge area. Good size shower was really helpful with the little one as well, easy check in/out. Only minor issues were awkward power point placement in the kitchen for using the jug, and a big fridge over near the lounge as the kitchen bar fridge didn’t appear to be working but not really a problem for us for the 1 night.
Property was close to Darling Harbour and the Ferry to Manly. Good food and amenities.
The property is very clean & good location
It is so close to the QVB, Darling Harbour, Public Transport. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Staff always polite and friendly.
Obviously not 5* property. Fair value for money compared to other properties in the area Parking is next door at reasonable cost for Sydney Friendly staff on arrival & departure Surprisingly a nice continental breakfast, well worth the $18 Again, friendly staff Easy access to Darling Harbour, 5 min walk
Location was great, accessible to the city and darling harbour.
there was some confusion over the booking. the person in whose name i'd made the booking didn't show up, but the family who were the majority of the guests did. they're afghani and it was clear their stay at the mantra wasn't welcome for reason of race. the receptionist was clear that they didn't trust them and, after two hours of negotiating and communicating with the person in whose name the booking had been made, reception claimed that their room had been let out. they had offered to pay their own way, but they were clearly not trusted and there was no foreseeable other reason than race. we will certainly not be using this hotel ever again. it was an awful experience for everyone involved.
good location. comfortable stay
Easy access to everything for a city visit. Not fancy view, but we came to explore, so it was fine with us. Great continental breakfast with barista coffee. Close to public transport, airport access as well. Perfect for our 3 nights, city visit. Studio equipped with everything we needed, more like an appartment, rather than a room only.
Staff were friedly and helpful. Nothing was too much effort. The ironing board was prompltly replaced when I mentioned it wouldnt stay up when used.
Comfy and quiet. Reasonable cost compared to other hotels in area. Within short walk to darling harbour and light rail to circular quay. Nice continental. breakfast. Friendly staff Handy to car park , where we were able to leave our car for whole stay, even outside bookin and check out times.
Great accommodation, clean, tidy and close to shopping, restaurants and the harbour.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The lock to our door wasn't working one night and the staff member fixed it immediately and graciously.
Friendly staff
Nice place to stay.
Well.. ok Not impressive
Stayed in the executive studio with 2 young children. Room is very spacious, clean. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. Air conditioner was not working first night. But the front desk quickly provided extra portable heater and blankets. Got repaired next morning. Housekeeping always keeps the room nice and clean. Overall very satisfied stay
Disappointing and bad communication!
Staff were lovely, however photos on the website are very misleading. We were in the need for a washing machine and dryer due to delays and cancellations with Jetstar flights from Queenstown. I emailed the hotel advising this was a requirement. We got no response. There was a washing machine and dryer in the room but they were barely working the dryer filter fell off every few minutes spurting fluff around the room. You would think if requesting these item you would ensure they work effectively. The bedroom was tiny and had only one side table and a very narrow walkway down one side of the bed making it hard to get in out our of the room. The room was not clean and caked of dust. We were only staying two night so we sucked it up but it was very disappointing.
Great location.
Rooms were spacious and well equipped. Dryer in unit didnt work properly (loose door) but kitchenette worked great. Our room also had a tiny view of Darling Harbour! Front desk staff were pleasant. Hotel is located within a block of Darling Harbour and within a few blocks of Pitt Street Mall, Sydney Tower, Westfield Mall, and Queen Victoria Building.
It is close to Darling Harbor
Some milk for tea / coffee would have been nice
The apartment was great except for the shower. There was no pressure and the water was just above luke warm.
Well maintained, good and clean, good equipment, near harbour.
Walkable distance to restaurants and shopping
Good price in CBD
Great location, walking distance to Darling harbour, Chinatown, train/tram, shops and restaurants. Clean room. Good service.
Well located near darling harbour. The staff were really friendly and helpful.
The location was very accessible to numerous attractions and shopping, dining areas.
Great Location! Reception Staff are fantastic
We stayed in a 1 brm apartment, plenty of space, very clean, recently refurbished and the property is very close to the main shopping areas, public transport, Darling Harbour, Cockle Bay Wharf.
Loved the spacious apartment and friendly staff. Our room was a fair bit more worn than the pictures indicate
Location good - central.
Location was terrific. Details indicated a queen and king. The queen was a fold out sofa. Housekeeping wasn't available due to staff shortages, which given the price of the room, wasn't ideal. Had to call for towels twice before going down to get some.
Proximal to harbour walk. Rooms were not soundproof, could hear neighbours and doors slammed (no quiet closing).
The staff on reception were excellent.
Great location!
Excellent locatiom for Darling Harbour and QVB and light raiil access to Circular Quay and Capitol Theatre and CBD
Great Customer Service On Front Reception Desk, Very Friendly And Offered Suggestions On Things To Do.
I really enjoyed the apartment style hotel. It had everything we needed. The king bed was excellent. The location was excellent, with short walks to food shopping and attractions. The room could have been cleaner though. Walls, stove and behind the couch were a bit grungy.
Great location but the aircon wasn’t great which meant the room was hot.
It was a beautiful stay, I loved the layout of the dual apartment a d the body wash and moisturiser is AMAZING, I wish I could have bought them from reception.
The location is fantastic! Just a short walk to Darling Harbour and The Queen Victoria building. Restaurants, cafes and shopping right there. The rooms were excellent and staff were friendly and helpful.
Very disappointing. Kitchen was advertised as fully equiped. However there was a mini fridge where we think the dishwasher once was and there was not even a dish drying rack. There was only one bread and butter plate, only two small glasses in the entire unit, no baking dishes or a spatula. We had to ask for the key to the antiquated safe and there was not a drawer or any racks in the bedroom so we literally had to live largely out of our suit cases. The bedroom was so small one had to walk crab wise around the end and one side of the bed to lay down. Consequently there was no room for a bedside table on that side. The bathroom was adequate except that there was no toilet brush. Servicing of the room was only on request. Redeeming facet was the location with easy walk to Darling Harbour and QVB and Trams. Overall we would not recommend this property.
Staying at Mantra on Kent is perfect place as a home base for Sightseeing around Sydney with the light rail close by and darling harbour a quick 15min walk
Good stay
Reception staff were friendly. Rooms were clean. The beds weren’t overly comfortable. Especially the fold out sofa- unbearable to sleep on for an adult.
Relaxing Holiday
it was so convenient to everything, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Will stay here definitely!
Easy walk to city attractions. Comfortable room with all that you need. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Great staff! Very helpful! always there.
We stayed in a 2Bedroom apartment. It was clean and well maintained. The location of the hotel is great. Easy close walk to Darling Harbour and the city. We had young kids and being close to all these places made it easy for them to walk with us as well.
Friendly, helpful staff.
Our family of 5?were really happy when we arrived at the hotel, very friendly staff. We were able to check on early. On the morning we were meant to depart our flight got cancelled. We had already checked out when we found out our flight was cancelled. I quickly rang the hotel, explained that we had been staying with them and checked out that morning. The staff member I spoke to was AMAZING, she managed to get us back in our room. The service was outstanding. Highly recommend staying there.
Great location to the city
We liked the location to Darling Harbour and Town Hall Station We found the queen bed too firm for comfort.
Great location. Clean a modern room.
We had to move hotels, the smell was horrible. There were finger nails on the floor, the fridge wouldn’t shut and leaked water all over the floor. The knives and forks were dirty, the oven was dirty. There were renovations going on that we weren’t told about. The restaurant was closed so there was no room service or breakfast, that we also weren’t told about. It wasted a lot of time in our short trip waiting to staff to come and look at the room then organise the refund and move to the new hotel.
Convenient location to Darling Harbour and Wilson Parking right next door. Great for a group as have adjoining apartment rooms.
This was an amazing room that exceeded all our expectations. Clean and had everything we needed
The room was clean and location is very convenient, close to the main points of interest
Great hotel, friendly staff. Definitely would be staying again, only thing I wish they did dine and discover. :)

Welcoming and easy stay. Friendly and helpful staff going out of their way.
