The property is in an excellent position with a great view over the marina and harbour. However the room has been let go with the carpet very badly stained, things like only 4 very small mismatched wine glasses and the tv with no cable channels, access to chrome cast, streaming or even iview apps which is disappointing as it was advertised with cable channels.

Grossly overpriced accommodation for the conditions of the unit which were unacceptable. Unclean and appliances not working. Receptionist offered no help when we complained about the TV and cooker not working. Terrible experience and would never stay here again and we strongly recommend others not to stay here.

Was a bit disappointed with my stay here. Room was old and bit dated. We still had rubbish in the rooms from previous attendance. Shower had zero pressure, had to splash the water on me with a hand.

Great View over the Marina and perfect view for the Sunset!

Great location

Very central, just tired, needed painting and cleaning, especially windows. But the staff were very friendly and helpful

Not great at all. Property dirty and not well maintained. Floors sticky, shower screens calcified and rusted, furniture broken and old cigarette smell to the property. We walked in the door and walked straight out! Didn't even stay the night.

3 bedroom for the family. It was comfortable, quiet, safe, and had all amenities and conveniences close by.

Great Location property needs a Spring Clean

Paid top dollar and got the 2 bedroom Apartment only to find it was very dusty and smelled mouldy, the stove also did not work so I was not able to make any of my own food for the entire stay.

Unfortunately the advertising of this accommodation is very deceiving. The images you see in the ad does not show you the old part of the Hotel as well. The room we had was old and not well kept. It smelled of wet dog and the shower head was absolutely atrocious with little to no pressure at all. This place is not to Mantra standard and was a real disappointment. Will not be staying here ever again unless we can guarantee to stay in the newer part overlooking the water as in the pictures.

The check in staff had my room ready by 1230, due to my early arrival and were very accommodating. The view of the ocean, priceless.

Pleasant

The 2 bedroom 2 bathroom unit I stayed is in good condition, spacious and clean. But the staff, from check in, dining through check out... may need more training as any of them cannot answer guest's stardard queries, example : member's benefit, check out time, extra charge even early check out at 8:45am. Staffs at the restaurant also cannot response to queries, like what is the fish / soup of the day, or how many pieces of nugget in a dish etc. They would first to answer "i don't know" immediately, until we insisted to check with the chef.

Central location

Upon checkin room was untidy bed not made properly sheets dirty... complained and immediatly received free upgrade and late check out so hotel staff were great, roim end up being amazing thanks mantra

The property is in a fabulous location and is great, but sadly the owner of the unit we were staying in has NOT kept up the maintenance. This is not the responsibility of Mantra, they only service and organize the accommodation. Despite this, the cleanliness of the apartment was good, although there were stains on the carpet and a serious water leak from the main bedroom window causing dripping all night and wet carpet near it. Mantra advised they were contacting the owners.

Cleaning was not up to standard considering I paid for a premium property. Every member of my family was left with bronchitis and extreme sinus infection due to the excessively dusty surfaces through majority of the property The spa pool smelt like mould and algae and had insufficient amount of chloride added to the water to be at a safe swimmable status The mantra name has been tainted in comparison to the excellent namesakes nationwide.Try to avoid staying here if you can help it

Easy check in. Secure parking. Not sure it was great value for the price but did the job. Rooms clean but tired, especially bathroom. Room was roadside so a bit of noise from passing cars and pedestrians. Foxtel did not seem to be available as advertised and couch not particularly comfortable.

Convenient location and nice view of the marina. Good restaurant at the premises for seafood.

We were told at check in that the apartment we booked would have a water view, but upon getting there, we were overlooking a carpark. Staff need to get their rooms correct before mentioning this to guests

The bed was terrible. Barely slept a wink. Time to replace it

Great Stay!

2 bedroom sea view apartment has superb view. Free open space parking, friendly front desk staff. Seems like unit has been updated quite recently, no cleanliness issue as per earlier review. Will definitely stay again when back in Geraldton. Only complain will be the bed that is a tad too soft for our liking, but that’s just individual preference.

We were so confused on staying here with all the mixed reviews. Location was perfect for our little holiday which was just for beach and play. Reception staff were so friendly couldnt fault them. The hotel itself is extremely run down like noone cares. Its not a hotel i would recognise as anything other than a 3 star hotel. We didnt get any room service or toilet rolls etc replenished in our 4 day stay, no beds made or clean sheets or towels etc as you would expect. Stains on carpets , lounges etc , showers full of bright green mould and residue , toilet bowls stained the max, windows etc absolite filth. The pool area has no maintenance what so ever absolutely filthy water didnt no what half the stuff was lurking at the bottom lol no odea of who sets the standards and expectations but the cleaners just seem to get paid for doing nothing. Other than that the rooms facilities were perfect for what we needed on our little trip , but when your paying so much money i would have exacted more from the hotel , maid services etc

Nice staff but the property needs a major refurbishment. The room had damaged paint on walls, leaky tap and is generally tired. The pool coating is damaged and not particularly clean. I would not say it is value for money. Sorry.

hotels.com took our booking and money but then did not tell the hotel. the hotel was booked out when we arrived. we had to go find somewhere else to stay and obviously pay again. what a shambles!!!

Our room 33 was unclean; had only been wiped over & not thoroughly cleaned. Bathrooms/toilets require a thorough scrub, including tiles on walls. Kitchen is very basic, not even a chopping knife to be found. The washing machine was mouldy in the seal. The elevator smelt terribly.

Too noisy with large groups of familes surrounding our rooms.

It advertises that it has a restaurant but there is no restaurant The hotel is old and run down. The parking is not safe. We would never stay there again

Position is fantastic beautiful views and water activity but apartments are tired, carpets in lounge stained, tiles in bathrooms need attention. Flywire broken on sliding door, wind out window rusted into closed position. Problem with booking charging fortunately very helpful reception staff managed to rectify fairly quickly.

Good size apartment and great location. However the facilities are a bit old for 2beds apartment. Short of remote control for the garage door so we have to drag all our luggage to the apartment, the air con LCD screen stays on all the time and very bright during the night. Have to cover it using the cardboard… definitely not the same level as other Mantra

good location, fair price

Beautiful seafront and park nearby. Convenient to shopping, groceries and dining choices.

This property is with excellent ocean view. But actually we were disappointed there was no any bath towels change, no any room cleaning during 3-night stay. Not acceptable.

Spacious waterfront hotel accommodation. There is gourmet dining restaurant (Skeetas Restaurant) at it premises and many dining options nearby. Close proximity to shopping street too.

Excellent accommodation overlooking marina. Restaurant below is good ( a little pricey) as well.

Location, cleanliness, parking all excellent except the elevator. Our apartment was next to elevator and our front door was shaking every time someone was using the elevator. The noise was so much that we couldn’t sleep. Everything else 5 out 5.

First review I have done so hopefully I don’t sound like I’m being picky. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with great views of the Marina from the Balcony and was very central to everything. The beds were comfortable but the Apartment was lacking in general maintenance. It had not been cleaned properly with rubbish under the tv cabinet ( you could see it when sitting on the couch which were very stained), the main bathroom had not been cleaned properly and one of the draw’s had used tissues and hair in it, the exhaust fan did not work, the shower head leaked badly, there was a light switch totally missing in the 2nd bathroom/laundry which made it very dark, the dishwasher didn’t wash properly. A total shame as such a great location. We did mention the above to the Office reception (who were very nice) and made note of the problem’s.

Spacious 2 bedrooms, well maintained. Nice swimming pool. We were in non sea view area. However in the booking the option of seafront rooms didn’t come so was surprised when saw the sea front property in front of us.

Great views and the apartment size really adequate. The only thing is the shower took ages for the hot water to reach the system.

The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The pool and spa were really clean and well positioned. The property was within walking distance of most things, including a beautiful beach area and Marina.

Large 2 bedroomed apartment. Large hot plate not working as well as safe not working. Nice bed and jetted spa. Noisy street in the morning, with workers going to work. Not busy, so would of been nice to of been upgraded to marina view.

For the price, there are better options. The place was dirty and needs a good scrub. It’s Geraldton so wasn’t expecting the ritz, but for the price, it simply wasn’t worth it.

Lovely clean spacious apartment with lovely views over the marina. Cafe downstairs at property serves lovely fresh food.

Few hiccups but reception and staff were amazing at helping out and rectifying problems. Would happily stay here again.

WA discovery

Great location reception staff was just superb and attentive Units are service every 3 days and a very basic attention to details Sunsets from the balcony as well as great coffee downstairs

Clean and tidy

Bed was comfy and plenty of hot water. A/C panels give off a bright light. Like having a torch pointed at you. I had to cover to be able to sleep. Bad odours from bathroom floor wastes. Ok for one night stop over.

New property, spaces, great location, very friendly, private parking

Close to the beach and shops including the Sunday markets at the old railway, now bus depot. With 3 bedrooms there was plenty of room and our stay was so relaxing in comfortable surrounds. Also the spa bath in the main room was very appreciated.

Three bedroom apartment gave plenty of room. Eater was not very hot at times, no plug for kitchen sink. Otherwise was very nice.

Lovely 2 bed 2 bath appartment overlooking the Marina spacious and fitted with a modern kitchen. But let down by lack of utensils. No bowls for salad, no cookware for oven and microwave. Not a problem unless you want to self cater.

Aged hotel and over priced

The room allocated to us is very aged and dusty. We lived in another hotel the night before. That hotel is $100 cheaper per night, but much cleaner and more modern. I was fooled by the picture, and wouldn’t come back or recommend to my friends.

It was a great place, though the cleaning in bathroom shower recess could have been better and floor in kitchen was sticky. But loved the place.

Great views and lovely balcony to sit on and chill. Some unexpected noises from the Marina though - a raunching sound as the floating pontoons went up and down. Pool was pleasant but water too cold.

An upgrade to a sea view room which was lovely. There were two bedrooms and two bathrooms which was very handy. A well equipped kitchen with a large fridge, a nice dining and lounge area. Very happy!

We booked a 1 bedroom apartment but when we arrived there wasn't one available and so we were given a 3 bedroomed apartment - which was really good. Unfortunately, we'd asked for a sea view but the 3 bedroomed apartments didn't have sea views. The only negative about staying here was you had to pay for WiFi and after numerous attempts to pay online I was unable to access a WiFi connection. So, be aware - no free WiFi.

Very big, comfortable, well layout, well equipped and clean room. Staff at reception were very friendly and welcoming! Thank you for being accommodating with my request for high floor and good views!! This really made our stay as a family a very pleasant and memorable one!! 😘 Definitely coming back!!

We had wonderful water views! Close to the museum and easy walk to town centre and beaches. There is a resturant on site who did their best to accommodate our dietry requirements. The kids loved the pool and were in the spa in the undercover area everyday. Staff were very helpful. I called twice about issues, one being noise which turned out to be the exhust fan on in the kids bedroom, the other about noise coming from the room above us. They were prompt to come over to fix the problem and very kind.

Not a bad place to stay , we had a minor issue with our room and staff were more then happy to help.

Different room provided than booked. Sea view booked, railway line provided! Said overbooked and online jmages were incorrect! Told me to call last minute and ask them to change photos as they tried and had no success.
