Our city view one bedroom suite had a view of the brick buildings across the alley on one side, and our own building across a small courtyard area on the other, so not really any view. The building is undergoing renovations, but the rooms were large and comfortable, and the front desk staff welcoming and helpful.
Loved our stay , had 1 bedroom apartment with washer and dyer , very convenient for preparation for cruise ! Port easy to ealk to or use lite rail !
Unbelievable great location. Staff was friendly and responsive.
Great stay. Room was extremely hot and the bedding seemed to be designed for Arctic expeditions.
Nice place ,Close proximity to café and restaurants
Very good location but slightly noisy
Great location. Doing upgrades at moment so pool out of order and scaffolding around building. Furnishings in foyer in need of a bit of tlc. Amenities in room great. Bed comfortable. Would stay again, but ask for a room that didn't have a view of a brick wall of the building next door (if possible)
Check your options!
Great location close to Light Rail. Facilities were okay, pool was not available during our stay which was dissappointing. In general the room was serviced well though the oven appeared to have not been cleaned for some time and was unpleasant to use. I noticed that the restaurant applied a credit card surcharge when using non-credit accounts and also when charging to the room. I raised this with them on the first occaison but it happened multiple times. Overall I think there are likely better value options for a serviced unit in the city.
Awesome hotel
I'll start with negative... hard to find driving, no info about blocked road or entrance to car park. Double bed was two singles that separated over night. Front desk room phone didn’t work. But staff were excellent. Everything else was awesome. Studio laundry, food, all of it.
This property was spot on in every way. Will definitely stay at this hotel again.
Lovely hotel within walking distance to iconic landmarks
Super clean and a great room. However communication on what was required should’ve been better and should’ve given customers a notice about the pool not being available
The only issue was the noise from "The Establishment Bar" Next Door. Otherwise, it was fantastic, couldn't have asked for a better location.
My deluxe studio was huge. I loved the decor, the kitchenette and sleeping space all were very easy to move theough as there was so much space. The Concierge staff were very welcoming and helpful.
The construction work at night was noisy at night. Sleep interrupted.
Loved the layout of the studio apartment, it was beautifully appointed and the kitchen was well equipped. Location was nice and close to all the sights, just a few minutes walk from Circular Quay. Slight downside was that we were on the fourth floor, so it was quite noisy especially at night.
Great Inner city accommodation close to all amenities you need while on holiday
Great location! Easy to walk around, catch tram on George st, or get a Uber on Bond st.
Great stay
The property needs maintenance, The door closers don't hold the doors back from slamming. This goes on all night as people enter and exit their rooms. The cleaning was average, there was a hair ball in the shower and was still there after we requested cleaning. Our room wasn't clean when we a arrived and was poorly cleaned when requested. The staff are great and friendly, but the facility needs serious maintenence!
Great property and friendly staff. Lots of construction around the property. Good central location
Fantastic location, you can walk to all main attractions, trendy bars around like the ‘Establishment’, and many more. I could spend 3 weeks easily at this hotel. There is also a food court with bars at the Australia Square where you can watch sport at the big screen and have a variety of dishes to cater for those who work in the area. Friendly staff too. 👍🙏🙏😍
This property is in a perfect position for visiting the CBD, the Rocks area and both the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. My only criticism is the opening times for the Georgie Wine Bar. The hotel says it’s open till late but it was closed when we returned from watching the Darling Harbour fireworks around 9 pm last night. No option for residents to have a beverage before retiring for the night.
It was value for money and staff was friendly as well.
Mantra location is great, close to shops, restaurants, groceries... thats all we like about this hotel! Since our room on the 2nd floor, outside of our bedrooms window is the tram stations... always noisy at at night from the trams and people on the street... We got a 2 bedrooms, there's only 1 full bathroom and without a powder room... our family of 5 had a hard time staying in this unit for 5 nigths - yet, this bathroom poorly engineering built, always flooded during shower... bathroom floor always wet, wet and wet... from one person to another after showered... We would not book this hotel again if visiting Sydney, look for the number of bathroom in your booking before confirmed your stay.
The hotel is a bit dated, but the staff are lovely and everything is clean.
Location is great, good attention, friendly staff. Low in staff through peak breakfast hours at the restaurant.
Very clean room. Helpful and Friendly staff
Cool apartment style vibes with kitchen- perfect for a city break
Very positive in my review. The only negative is there only being one (small) bathroom for a two bedroom apartment.
Good space for a family of 5.
Fantastic location.
Hotel is everything perfect but construction right in front of hotel so nosey
Breakfast not the best
This is the perfect location to see Sydney!
Staff are exceptional in attending to their guests. The hotel is getting a bit tired and run down in much need for a renovation and repair. One issue this stay are the rooms are not sound proof - was kept awake until 4am rude noisy guests, protestors outside and the club next door. Wasn’t great when I had a 6am start the next day. However I keep returning to Mantra Bond for its convenient central location and the service, friendliness of the front desk staff.
Over night stay
It met all our needs
Good location, clean, cleaning staff is honest. Service is good. Few recommendations. Bring in new mattress, update the sliding doors so cold air doesn’t come in and also there was a loud constant noise until 2am ( not sure though if it was coming from the hotel itself or if construction work was being done outside). But overall very clean.
Customer service was very poor. Called for housekeeping the night before and arrived back after a long day to find our room the same as we’d left it. Had to call them for housekeeping the same day and went out for a bit to find that they’d only given fresh towels and changed the bins. No beds had been changed. They mention that front desk is 24/7 but we called on multiple occasions and there was no answer. One time we called front desk several times for some pool towels, which took over 30 mins for them to bring up. Overall the room was tidy and view was decent. Beds were comfortable but needed more blankets (which they supplied on our request) Location is easily accessible and close to many attractions. Parking was easier during the week but more limited over the weekend. Gym is more cardio based but pool and spa upstairs have a great view. Breakfast was my highlight, my personal favourite being the smoked salmon bagel. In conclusion, I probably wouldn’t book again but every experience is a learning curve. Appreciate the time spent here.
Best location that's walkable to main city attractions, and great executive hotel room (studio apartment-like) with a full kitchen.
It was a really good place to host 10 people.
Perfect spot for a long weekend visit to Sydney. The location of the Mantra was fabulous! It was an easy, leisurely walk to the Opera House, The Rocks and the Sydney Harbour Bridge! The light rail was also right outside our door, so using that was an easy option too. We also took a bus from only 300m away to visit a cat cafe a few suburbs away. Also within easy walking distance of Apple Shop, QV building and luxury brand shops. A vibrant spot made all the more vibrant by Vivid festival. Easy to access all of this at the harbour then fun to come home to Mantra and watch the enormous crowds passing in the street below our balcony. Being an apartment was great - we prefer this as we can make our own breakfast (catering to vegan/Gf!) and snacks for the day. Kitchen and rest of apartment was very well equipped, clean and tidy. 90s styling updated recently. Layout was great for 3 ppl / we were travelling with our teenage daughter who slept on foldout couch in lounge - this was divided by kitchen from our sleeping area so as good as two bed apartment. Only issues were that the dryer didn’t work (we reported with no response) & we asked to have our room serviced mid-stay while we were out but this didn’t happen - staff arrived at 9PM. Minor issues in great stay. Staff were friendly on check-in and throughout our stay. Didn’t eat in bar as no vegan / Gf options for us but we’re used to that! Thanks for a great stay! ♥️
Kitchen was good. Spacious. Clean. But cold heater wouldnt go above 21
light rail at door groceries across the road walkable to all attractions
Was a really nice place to stay. So close to everything and service and room were great
Great to see this property has been well maintained. Perfect location for a weekend getaway or even a longer stay
Great location
Anzac Day
Exactly what we expected from mantra group/ concierge team very friendly and helpful our sons first Anzac parade and situated just in the right place thank you
This time I had better room was quiet and nice .
Close to everything. Smaller rooms but overall convenient and good.
They offer me room with motors start running 7 am
Great location and very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful
Easy and short walk to Circular Quay. Train station very close. Room has kitchenette which was very handy. No view from our room - just another building facing us which meant limited sun/light. TV in the lounge area and open-plan bedroom, but they are not Smart TVs. Bathroom was functional but was definitely not spotless. It needed a deep clean as there was buildup in the corners and the washing machine was filthy. Toilet flush wasn't very powerful. Shower was good (just a dirty in the corners from buildup).
We enjoyed our stay, but be wary of being allocated a room that is on the first floor facing George Street where the light rail is too noisy for comfort. Also cable tv or a streaming service would have been nice, or at least a smart tv which has apps such as Netflix or Disney so you can use your own login.
The hotel was quite nice for the price. However, we used the hotel spa on the rooftop for 30 minutes and there was so much chlorine in it that our skin has been peeling off since using it. I recommend the hotel but avoid the spa at all costs!!
Very convenient place to stay and good sized room. Cleanliness of the bathroom was very disappointing and no housekeeping even though it was advertised.
We liked that we were right at the metro stop as we walked out the door. We could also walk down to Circular Quay.
Weekend getaway
Stayed at mantra for a family weekend away. We had a 2 bedroom apartment. Quick and easy check in, Apartment was in the 5th floor. Spacious, with newish room furniture and appliances. Beds comfortable, pillows a touch soft for me. The hotel is a 10 min walk to the mall and circular quay and the Rocks. Tram stop outside hotel. Being so close to the city centre, there is a lot of foot traffic day and night. The room we had didn’t have sound proof windows. So we could hear people talking all night and into the early hours of the morning. If I stayed again, I would request a room not next to the tram line. Otherwise, we had pleasant stay and very convenient.
Great accommodation.
The staff were excellent. The café too.
The location is priceless. The Bridge Street tram stop is literally right outside the lobby. The staff was very nice and super helpful with locations and directions. Our 2 bedroom suite was awesome. Great views outside the windows. Fully stocked with supplies. Kitchen was wonderfully equipped. Really loved this location and our suite.
Very good people are here to help make your stay as comfortable as can be.
Great location. Close to the train for transport to and from the airport. Views from the roof top pool were great!!
Shower was moldy and caulking around the base of the shower was pulled off the wall along a large strip of the wall. Water leaks from shower into the bathroom floor. No luggage racks in the room. Asked staff when we checked in and they said we would two in the morning after people checked out of other rooms - that never happened - mid afternoon I had to ask again at the desk - only one ever came. Parking was a disaster - we paid for it and several times there was no space to park in. Instructions of where we allowed to park given by staff when we checked in were different and more restrictive than what the staff on the next day told us. For a deluxe two bedroom we had lots of space but for the price we paid you’d expect more attention to all the details which were sorely lacking. Which this review could have been more positive.
Highly recommend
Central location to everything we needed, spacious and fully equipped unit and amazing staff. Absolutely recommend this place.
Good location, but run down and not the cleanest
Easy check in, easy booking, clean, comfortable, everything worked
beds are no good AC is not working
The AC was inefficient. The floors need a make over.
The property is very well equipped with washing and drying machines as well as dishwasher. There are TVs in the living room as well as the bedroom but none can function as “smart” TV. All the staff are polite and helpful. The property is very centrally located and within walking distance to most of the famous city sights. All in all I have had an excellent experience with this hotel.
All in all it was generally good. The parking fee is very steep for one night. I don’t justify how you can charge $60 for one night when I know some other hotels in the city don’t even charge you for parking.
Great location and price
Excellent convenient location. Two bedroom suite option was fantastic.
Upon checking in I was greeted by man who didnt really seem too interested. I told there was no room available (even though I booked one) and then told that the room I booked was an accessible one so would need to move the next day if they needed it, which is fine but it was just the way I was told, really bluntly and with little regard to the fact that I might of actually booked the accessible room for my self on purpose. I then asked if my accore membership gotnme any perks (I knownit at least got me a late check out). He told me to ask someone tomorrow. I did ask the next day and they applied late check out to my room but then when i came from the pool area to access my room 20 min begore checkout i was locked out and had to go back down to reception in my swimming costume and towel to get them to activate my key. There was bo house keeping for my three night stay. It cost me overn $1000 dollars and was just a bit of a flop really. The room itself was fine but noisy and faced a brick wall also the aircon was useless and I woke up very warm every night without any way of adjusting the temperature asnit was locked. This is my second time staying here and the service was very similar so I don't beleive I will book here again.
Excellent location, very clean well maintained hotel. Easy walk to the Opera house and on a street with many dining options , shops and transportation right outside the hotel. Room was very clean, well stocked and was better than the advertised photos. Staff very helpful and cheerful. Would definitely stay here again if I went to Sydney.
Weekend getaway
The room was comfortable and very clean Service was great
I liked that it was a studio apartment, so bigger than a hotel room. I tried ringing the front desk a number of times but it went unanswered. I could not get the WiFi to work, and it was not explained to me that the number written on my key card wallet was the internet password. When I told the front staff that the wifi wasn't working I was basically told it was my fault. Improvements in customer service could be considered.
Check in was slow. Long queue, understaffed. Parking terrible. There were no parks and we were told ‘too bad, your problem’. Staff very unhelpful. Will not be back.. ever!!
Our family loved our little holiday at the Mantra. The location was brilliant with the light rail just out the front. The kids loved swimming in the pool and the warmth of the spa. Our only little issue was our leaking shower but the staff provided us with extra towels to manage it.
Spacious, very clean, friendly staff
Great Location
Hotel is in a fantastic location if you want to walk to Circular Quay; The Rocks or Darling Harbour. Lots of great cafe's and bars near by as well. The Studio Apartment was a great size for us and our 17 year old son as it gave us more space and privacy.
Mantra 2 Bond Street
Our experience was great for a couple of nights. For some reason though, the air con was on the whole time and we couldn't find how to switch it off.
Great location. However pokie corner apartment room. No space to open the wardrobe because ofvthe bed, doors dont fully open. Spa was not operating and the tiles ariund the spa need urgent repairs az they were loose. Staff great
Getting around the city is easy and accessible with this hotel. The tram is right outside the hotel front door ! Lots of shopping and restaurants are in the immediate vicinity. Good stay overall. However, communication was lacking. We asked for towels and inquired about the smell of smoke on our floor and the staff were slow to respond/didn’t explain what was happening
Mantra did not disappoint. Lovely rooms that look exactly like the photos online. Clean and comfortable with all the amenities you need. And they were able to accommodate me with an early check-in!
The room wasn’t the cleanest, there was empty washing powder packets still down the large gap next to the washing machine and the ancient microwave stopped working, however parking was affordable and the staff were very friendly.
Sydney visit
Location was excellent and the room was clean, spacious and well equipped. 10 minute walk to Cicular Quay and Rocks with Light Rail stop right outside hotel and Wydnam train station 5 minute walk with direct train to airport. Breakfast was good but the service was quite slow. Would stay at Mantra Bond Street again.
Great stay and location.
good room that met our needs ,nice and clean and soft bed, sofa in room was great after a days shopping ,nice staff ,good breakfast as well in dining area ,i would of liked to be able to have an evening meal at the venue as well unfortunately the dining area was closed ,all in all we enjoyed our stay ,thank you ,cheers carl and judith.
Great!
Beautiful studio near the Harbour, Sydney Opera house and downtown everything is walkable. Bonus was a washer and dryer in our small studio apartment. Everything was immaculately clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had a lovely stay and will come stay again for our next visit.
Lovely apartment type accommodation which while we were here for a weekend would be a good place to stay if in town for a week or 2 on business as it has a washer and dryer and full kitche. Overall would recommend the only knock down was the dryer needed to have the door adjusted to work properly but a well placed folded up bit of cardboard did the trick
Great stay thank you
Studio room was well equipped and very nice
Pleasant and easy to get around
The property is in a convenient location - just down from the circular key. This made it a good spot in terms of accessibility. The room had a washing machine and dryer, and a nice shower. One of the two televisions didn't work, and we needed to get a kettle. These were small matters, and the room itself, including the bed, was very nice. Unfortunately, there is a pub next door, where people spill into an alley beside the hotel. Expect significant noise, particularly on Friday night to go as long as 2 am. Unfortunately, the doors to the tiny "balcony" did nothing to stop the noise that echoed between the two buildings. I'd recommend the location if you are traveling during the week but would not recommend it for a Friday or Saturday night stay (unless you are a heavy sleeper or have ear plugs).
Have been staying at the Mantra Bond over the past two years for week long stays. The hotel is older compared to other modern or renovated peers but central location makes it convenient and the rooms are spacious. The staff especially at front desk are friendly, professional and attentive which makes a difference.
Property was good value for money for the area. Rooms look to have been updated (new carpet etc). Bathrooms starting to be a bit dated. Pool a bit dated. Overall property is in good location to get to everything & staff were pleasant.
Friendly staff, great location, will definitely stay again!

This is a great hotel, everyone is so nice and very helpful. Will stay there again. Disappointed the pool was under construction and we were not advised.
