Interior step to bathroom a real liability for fal

The hotel is located far from restaurants etc. so you must have a rental car or rely on calling taxis to take you shopping for food etc. Also, the maid staff did not replenish the courtesy coffee and milk etc each day-but did come and make the bed etc. Also, our room had a step down immediately coming out of the bathroom, which caused me to fall and injure my knee one afternoon so then we had to keep the light on at night for fear of more falls.

Nala was awesome, very helpful and responsive, and advised me on a good restaurant when I arrived. Beautiful beach and great location... Great Sunset!!!! Only comments: It be good to have a Restaurant there, and a Gym room. Also, better coffee in the room.

The room was clean and cleaned everyday. The beach was beautiful and they had a nice pool. Not much for amenities. There's no restaurant or bar but they do offer to take food orders and stock the room. We chose to go out to eat. I would recommend renting a car as there is nothing within walking distance or even close.

Mango Bay Resort was the perfect 'escape' holiday for me. I was looking for a quiet, beautiful, and peaceful place to decompress over the holidays. Mango Bay was absolutely perfect. The grounds are very well kept, beautiful native plants abound, and butterflies were everywhere during my stay which added the the magical experience. The beach is exceptional: it is quiet, clean, and was never crowded. I was solo traveling and intentionally selected Mango Bay given it seems to geared towards couples and families vs. singles and young adults looking to 'party'. I was not disappointed. I chatted with a few families with well behaved and polite kids, and chatted with the few couples as well -- everyone was super friendly. The staff was fantastic as well: groundkeepers/house keepers were quite friendly, and the office staff can give you a great deal of information on local excursions, transportation, etc. The general manager even dropped my off at the airport on the day I was leaving! I can not really say enough positive about Mango Bay. It is a special place and I was pained to leave. I will definitely come back again!

Best experience I have ever had!

I had to check in late due to a late flight with my flight. I called the front desk, and they said no problem, we will see you here when you arrive. When I arrived I was met at the parking lot with smiles. The nice lady helped me carry the pizza that I had gotten on the way and she walked me directly to my room. I was so impressed with how kind she was. The communication was excellent, the room was perfect, and the grounds were stunning. I rate it 5 stars!

A true slice of heaven, absolutely perfect and secluded. Not a place for kids, but if you wanna get away, it’s incredible.

During our 5 day stay our room was made twice but tea and coffee was not replenished and there was no shampoo in the apartman at all. On the bright side fridge worked fine including its ice-maker part. TV worked only occasionally with Netflix, nothing else. Garden and beach was kept immaculate and beautiful. No restaurant at all, yet one could buy every needed in stores about 2 Mi away and the island has some acceptable or even good (e.g. Chez Bamboo near the Ferry Harbour) for acceptable prices.

Amazing!!

Wonderful experience at Mango Bay Resort! We stayed for 5 days in the Beachfront Suite. We enjoyed the beach, paddling/kayaking every morning, or just lounging. The grounds are beautiful and the pool was very nice too. We loved the outdoor kitchen. It was very convenient as some restaurants were closed due to low seasonality. The staff has nice and helpful. Would highly recommend.

It is truly paradise at Mango Bay. I can’t wait to be back in November. All the staff is so friendly and accommodating.

Wonderful Resort!

We had a lovely stay at Mango Bay Resort. Gino and staff were so kind and accommodating. The location was beautiful and the room was very well appointed. I would highly recommend this resort.

Excellent value

A well landscaped and manacured villa community with quality details everywhere. A few short steps to a lovely, quiet coral-strewn bay with excellent snorkeling. I let the staff arrange a car rental (with the best rate) and I was met at the airport on my arrival --couldn't have been easier. This is an "entertain yourself" experience and I enjoyed cooking each day with wonderful maid service. My stay was quiet and pleasant the way I like it but it looks like they can accommodate all kinds of travelers without imposing on quiet ones like me! Couples, families, and a family reunion happening while I was there and it was never an issue.

Quiet Resort with private beach

Loved this little peace of paradise it was very quiet hardly saw anyone even though it was full. Private beach with kayaks and pool floated. There is a reef protecting the bay so water is very calm. We stayed in a garden room the only thing I could say was a little downside was the Internet wasn't the greatest but if I stood by the window it was ok.

Peaceful Resort

Staff very helpful

We loved our visit and would recommend to others. Upon arrival we were wowed with the floral grounds and the very nice added touch of cut flower vases on the kitchen table and coffee table as well as flower springs on the towels in the bathroom. The resort was very comfortable and laid back atmosphere. We enjoyed relaxing in the beach chairs and having the option to snorkel, kayak, float or walk on the beach within steps of our studio. The resort helped with reserving a rental car and would have stocked our refrigerator if requested.

Great place to stay on Virgin Gorda

A lovely secluded, uncrowded location composed of a limited number of villas. Great beach and wonderful sunsets.

Mango Bay....the best...is what we say!!

First of all, Gino and his staff are the BEST....our villa was beautiful....right on the water...staff attended to any needs we had...immediately...............! Mango Bay exceeded our expectation....quiet and a little piece of heaven right on the water....can't wait to go back!

I have never been to a vacation location where fellow guests were disinclined to even say hello. If you are looking for peace and quiet and a nice beach and being left alone this is the place. The screens do not keep out the mosquitoes but the place is clean and charming

Quality Family time and Rest and Relaxation

We went to Mango Bay over Thanksgiving break. This was our first time to the BVI. The beach on this resort was amazing! There were 8 of us traveling. Four adults and four children ages 13, 11, 4, 1. We snorkeled everyday right from the shore. There is no pool and no need for one. Our kids felt very comfortable being in the ocean playing every day. The beach is clean and the water is crystal clear and warm. No need for aqua shoes at this beach since it isn't rocky and there is sand from the shore all the way in. We have been to many beaches in our travels and this was one of the best! Very calm even for their stormy season. While we were there it felt like it was our own personal beach. There were no crowds like all inclusive resorts. We didn't see the moon once. It must have been on the other side of the island. There wasn't a cloud in the sky at night making the star gazing incredible. The sunsets are beautiful. We never felt the need to go anywhere else when we were here except to shop for groceries, because the beach and rooms are perfectly comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Gino and Kaya made this vacation one of the most memorable trips we have ever taken. We have been spreading the word ever since we got back home. The one thing I would use more of is mosquito repellent. Maybe citronella candles for the outdoor dinning. Oceanview is the best way to go at this place. The view is breathtaking! WE WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK!!

Beautiful and very peaceful location

This place is amazing a little ways from conveniences but well worth it if you are looking for peace and quiet only saw a couple other couples here in there we live in the Virgin Islands and this was a treat for us thanks again to the staff the room was clean you didn't have to ask for anything service was amazing and Gino was so easy to work with! Thanks again.

Nice place to go to

The hotel grounds and room are very nice. The beach is extremely nice. The snorkeling is average. They have kayaks included which is a great thing. The only problem that I have with this resort is location to restaurants. It is nowhere near any restaurants and does not have a restaurant on site or a convenience shop. This means you have to get a car or a taxi every time you want to go for breakfast lunch or dinner. Unless you like to cook on your vacation.

Amazing!

It was just what we wanted a remote, quiet and relaxing environment. Our trip started with delays and instead of flying into Virgin Gorda we got ferried in. Gino was amazing he made sure the taxi was were we arrived even with the last minute changes to our method of transportation. The room was amazing, unfortunately due to heavy rain it was leaking, and Gino moved us to a bigger new room. We didn't mind that it was leaking we understood. Everyone from Gino to the staff to the staff in The Rock Cafe restaurant were amazing. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely go again and I would definitely recommend others to go. Especially if you like quiet and relaxing environments. Everything was beautiful and the people were beautiful. Thanks.

Highlight of Our Trip Was Mango Bay.

, The rooms were beautiful and very well kept. Housekeeping was so amazing. Everyone so friendly and helpful. The beach and all extras, canoes, rafts, sun chairs , snorkeling equipment. all free and well maintained. Best beach on the Island. Sunsets on beach were picturesque. Grounds were beautiful and well kept. This all made for a perfect memory. Well done Mango Bay, our friendships will last forever .Laura and Doug Layman

Flowers adorn the place!

Mango Bay is beautiful and the owners go out of their way to make everything perfect during your stay. We had so much fun kayaking, floating in the ocean on the foam floats, snorkeling and relaxing on our patio. What a little slice of paradise; we would definitely visit again.

Excellent property

Very excited to see how nice Mango Bay was in reality but thought I was dreaming. Absolutely loved our rooms, they cooled off quickly. Kitchen was well equipped. Living room was real big with comfortable couches. Loved the outdoor shower to clean off sand and salt water. Enjoyed kayaking and snorkeling in the bay out front. Beach was beautiful and sandy. The kids loved it. Went to spend time at other beaches but it was much better at ours not only because it was one of the best but because we were within steps to our rooms and refrigerator!

Paradise and What a View!

Our beachfront villa was perfect and snorkeling, kayaking and chilling on the beach or in the water were just steps from our patio in Unit 9. This was the most relaxing vacation that we ever had. Staff were excellent and this is a small resort resulting in us having the beach and kayaks to ourselves most of the time.

We really enjoyed Mango Bay and would recommend it for anyone. They were very accommodating and couldn't be happier.

Incredible value

Mango bay was an incredible. Zero complaints. I was down for a wedding and was able to see countless other resorts and villas where my family was staying and can say that Mango bay is easily the best bang for your buck. The place also shows much better in person then online. Highly recommend!

Good basic hotel rooms. Slightly noisy between rooms

Loved the private beach, it was relaxing & quiet.

They have free kayaks and floaters for the hotel guests. The room was clean and had a kitchen. Loved the bathroom, it had double shower heads. The best part was the owner, Gino, who personally took us to our room and helped us make reservations!

The best beach location!

My husband and I spent 4 nights here in early November 2015, and had an incredible stay! The beach location is incredible - one of those places you see on a post card and think "I wonder where that is?". The service was excellent, but we really liked the quiet and our small villa experience. There is no restaurant or bar on-site, so we picked up groceries and had a very relaxing few days in paradise. The water and beach are spotless, and the kayaks were a nice touch for some morning exploring each day. We definitely plan on going back!

Mango Bay Resort

Mango Bay Resort is a nice place but it is not really a resort. There is no restaurant on premises or anything else. The beach is very nice however. Manager is very friendly and will try to accommodate guests when possible.

Stay on Mango Bay

My husband and I stayed at Mango Bay 12/7 thru 12/13/15 and it was fantastic. Gino was waiting to greet us and gave us an early check in. He was warm, friendly, and helpful (as was the rest of the staff). Our room was clean and comfortable with a view of the best beach on the island! We are already planning a trip back. I highly recommend Mango Bay! Side note: if going to market for groceries, go to Rosey's.

Wonderful relaxing getaway

Stayed 3 nights - should have stayed an entire week! Wonderful location, although you need a vehicle (or taxi) to reach restaurants and stores. Also nice to have to tour the island. Beautiful well kept accommodations and gracious host. Excellent swimming and snorkeling beach with beautiful sunsets!

Nice place, great location.

All in all, our stay was great. The location was excellent for me. The place was kept nice and clean every day by the staff. The smell of mildew was very strong, however, which can be an allergen for some. Also the mattresses were quite old and broken down. One does need a good night's sleep to feel one's best in the morning! The bathrooms were lovely and while we had a small unit, the kitchenette served our simple needs very well. The landscaping is enchanting and the beach area was comfortable and accessible.

Place was amazing for the price! Resort is a little dated but very clean and staff was excellent.

Relaxing island lime.

Had a nice, quiet, relaxing stay. Room and grounds are beautiful, only thing missing was a restaurant or snack bar on property. Great place to go to get away from it all.

Nice hotel , right on the beach.

Enjoyed my stay. Staff friendly and helpful. Room accomodations nice. Restaurant selections in town limited . Food was average except the Tree house was exceptional. Prices for meals are high, but relative to other islands

Great Beach; Horrible Mosquitoes

We stayed in Villa Number 6, situated in the middle of a cluster of villas. We had an ocean view and enjoyed sitting outside every morning and watching the ocean while drinking our coffee. The bedroom was air conditioned, which came in handy during the evening. The kitchen, although small, was functional and served our needs well. The beach was fantastic and we passed many hours lounging in the beach chairs or snorkeling in Mahoe Bay. The biggest disappointment was the voracious mosquitoes. Even using bug spray and mosquito coils, we were covered in bug bites. We couldn't sit inside the villa without swatting constantly at bugs. The screens didn't seal well and there was no way to keep the bugs outside. My husband was stung by a 2" wasp in the kitchen. I know some bugs are inevitable in the Caribbean but this was over-the-top and made our stay at Mango Bay Resort far less enjoyable than it could have been.
