Overpriced for the quality of the service, atmosphere, and decoration. It's certainly not a five-star hotel. The breakfast buffet was poor, the service was long, and we had some issues with the food.

Nice but not worth the price

Hotel was nice, but the rooms are very outdated and the prices are far too expensive for the type of accommodations. Hotel de Crillion was similarly priced and was very good value in comparison to the Mandarin in Paris. I’ve stayed at many Mandarin Orientals around the world but I would avoid this one unless they reduced their prices or underwent a makeover of the rooms.

The location is wonderful; and the hotel and hotel rooms are beautiful; but what makes the entire experience is the staff. They were tremendous. The steamer (no iron) in my room wasn't functional, so the staff sent someone up with a steamer to steam all my shirts. The only downside is, there was a protest in Paris (as there usually is); and nobody alerted us that the taxi the hotel scheduled, at our request, could no longer arrive to pick us up. It would have been nice if the hotel had a vehicle they could have used to get us to our destination.

Its M.O.!

This 4 nights stay is better than my previous one in June. We let the Conierge know early the restaurants we would like to dine and they managed to book for us and were duly reconfirmed. So no hustle on the dining venues!!! Also, good selection in English newspapers too! We were well updated on the world news even when we were away from home. Would definitely go back.

Relaxing weekend in Paris

From start to finish, this was an excellent stay. The staff were personable and attentive in a genuine manner, and helpfully gave me recommendations and even made a reservation on my behalf. The area is ideal for sightseeing, right in the heart of Paris, and a friend who drove in to see me from Belgium could valet his car for the day for only 15 Euros, which is an insane deal! The room was also super comfortable, and the included breakfast had the option of dining within the room, which felt very decadent. I couldn't get enough of the Diptyque bath products!

Nice but not elite

At least not for the room you will get on Expedia. They have a lot of rooms facing each other over a tiny courtyard. They are dark and have little privacy unless you close the curtains. I found the room a bit oppressive and small after awhile and, while the staff was all first rate, I couldn’t get over the fact that I just did not love the room. The location is excellent. The spa is great. But if they are going to charge Four Seasons and Ritz prices.....than the room needs to live up to those lofty expectations.

The hotel was wonderful, the room was beautiful & the staff were fabulous! Concierge was great they made dinner reservations & recommendations for the best views. They suggested a guide for the Louvre and booked one for us. Overall it was one of our best city vacations we have been on.

Optimal comfort in every aspect

Every detail of this hotel exceeded my expectations (despite knowing the price!). The tiniest details are considered for every guest. The staff is friendly and professional. Yes the service in the lounge is a bit slow but it is Paris, so I would call it Parisian rather than slow. Among the top hotels in which I have ever stayed!

I choose to be a repeat customer of this hotel each time I visit Paris because my stay is always perfect. Great location, exceptional service, clean and modern rooms and everything you would expect from the Mandarin icon. Housekeeping, please remember to put a bottle of water by my bed each time you turn down in the evening. Other than that, I'm a fan! ....as the saying goes...

Amazing hotel--great location & wonderful staff

We stayed here for a long weekend. From the moment we entered the hotel until we checked out the hotel staff treated us like we were part of their family. Great recommendations for what we should see and eat and excellent recommendations for unique shops and good value. Our room was spotless. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was amazing. We can't wait to go back.

Nice Hotel

This is a nice hotel, however, it did not live up to the standard we've found in other 5 star hotels. We had a suite and a connecting room; and while the staff were polite, they were not efficient or very service-oriented. An example of this is that we had to wait for about 40 minutes for the room to be ready. Even then, it was not completely ready because our pre-ordered arrival items were not in the room. We had to call down and request them. The customer service rep asked which newspaper we would like delivered with breakfast. Although we ordered breakfast 3x, we never got our paper. Indeed, with room service they somehow got one or two items wrong each time. We didn't complain. We didn't have time to wait for them to fix small problems, but it was annoying. Once, we asked the concierge to order a van for our 4 person group. He told us that we didn't need a 4 person taxi and ordered a regular taxi, although one person has claustrophobia, which is why we wanted a van. Most of the problems seemed related to communication between staff members. Other than that, the staff we encountered were polite. The room was nice.

Great location, lovely common areas, rooms just ok

Super attentive hotel staff, terrific. Service and management get six stars. The Room was large but odd in terms of its layout and finishes. The Mandarin room is enough to have an entry with a second door for privacy rather than having it open right into the room, which I detest. The odd wooden wall of cabinet housing electrical equipment was out of place including the black and yellow "danger" sticker. This hotel could be near perfect,. I think perhaps a redo in a few years with a more sympathetic local design firm could make it a great "east meets west" blend without making the client feel like they are waking up in Beijing. The Armani Hotel in Dubai and most of the rooms at the Greenwich in New York now have entries and second doors so guests don't have to hear the noise in the hallway and also feel a sense of privacy. A must now for all rooms I book.

Not worth it at all!

I forgot my clothes when I checked out. They were forgot in the first floor closet of my room and hanging on the hangers nicely. And then here are the problems:
1, the hotel didn't try to contact me for the clothes I forgot at all. Even after I called the hotel they couldn't find it until I told them I was sure my clothes were left there. And then they did a further investigation to find them.
2, After clothes were find, they asked my credit card and authority of charging my card for shipment with the details of shipment. We seemed to have an agreement, but then they didn’t do anything. I even called them, and they told me they were very busy and would get me back after. But I got nothing.
3, After back home, I sent them an other email. The hotel told me someone would contact me soon. But again nothing happened in two weeks until I sent them another email.
4, Finally, I got their attentions! My clothes were about to send. I gave them my address details via email. But when I got my package, I found out the postcode was wrong! And it's not my post code at all. So I had to correct it to get my package.
5, the fee of the shipment, I didn’t get the receipt they said they sent. Moreover, they didn't charge the card that I authorized them to charge but charged the card in file. Even before they charged my card, they didn’t disclose the price to me, and I had to ask about it. All these made me feel very uncomfortable. Even now, I sent email to ask about the receipt, no one responses

Paris Mandarin

Total perfection. It's not free, but this is a perfect home: quiet, comfy, great bathroom. Pool, courtyard restaurant is a haven. The only thing missing is a view, but you get that walking around the Citie. The staff, esp concierge rocks it. I've stayed at MO in Manhattan & San Francisco. They have the same comfy vibe, but are physically quite different.

Esperávamos algo digno da bandeira Mandarin, contudo não foi tudo isso. O serviço de concierge foi ruim, muito pouco resolutivo e sem qualquer presteza. No nosso check out o front desk errou o uso do cartão e debitou o valor mais a caução. Muito ruim. O hotel tem uma infra muito boa, mas o staff ficou a desejar.

pas à la hauteur d’un palace

globalement nous avons passé un bon séjour mais nous avons été surpris par plusieurs points qui ne sont pas à la hauteur d’un palace, parisien qui plus est. pour commencer personne ne nous a accompagné à notre chambre. On nous a juste expliquer comment s’y rendre. la chambre était glacée car la climatisation était mise très froide et même coupée nous avons eu froid tout le séjour. Le réglage des luminaires dans la chambre n’est pas très facile à maîtriser, par exemple pour allumer la salle de bain il faut le faire dans l’entrée ou à côté du lit ! concernant le dîner au camélia, le personnel est sympathique et plein de bonne volonté mais manque de classe pour un hôtel de ce standing. Les murs des couloirs sont pleins de coups et de rayures ce qui donne un aspect pas très propre et négligé. L’insonorisation n’est pas bonne on entend les clients dans les couloirs comme s’ils étaient dans la chambre. bref un peu déçu de cet endroit que j’imaginais bien mieux en comparaison d’autres hôtels de même gamme.

Séjour vraiment très agréable et au delà de nos attentes. Pleins de petites attentions, calme et central je reviendrais sans hésiter. Mentions spéciales pour le petite déjeuner exceptionnel et le personnel très attentif et souriant.

Parfait

Nous avons séjourné au MO pour le week-end de la saint Valentin. Accueil parfait, chambre magnifique, repas du chef Thierry Marx incroyable et une mention particulière pour les thérapeutes du spa qui reflètent définitivement la qualité de MO.

マンダリンは大好きなホテルですが、パリは期待が大きすぎたせいか、考えていたより…という感じ。 見た目は綺麗でお部屋も広かったが、日本や台湾、香港に比べ、丁寧ではない。聞いたことには心良く対応してくれて助かったが、他は特に。次回のパリは他のホテルにと言う印象。残念です。

Comfortable stay

The staff, room, hotel, everything was comfortable and had a good stay. This is a hotel I would like to stay in when I go to Paris again.

Good but far from perfect

It was good but service was somewhat lacking compared to other Mandarin Orientals I have stayed at. Can not compare to their Barcelona branch for example. Restaurant was really a disappointment, the server Juliana served and charged for a Roderer Champange when my partner actually ordered a Chablis. 42€ per glass. We didn’t say anything because the whole service experience was just that poor. No attention at the table at all. We were thinking/hoping it was her first day at the job and wanted to give her some slack.. Same goes for breakfast, many mistakes and missed items, you get hard boiled eggs instead of poached on your Benedicte, never seen that before.. but atleast roomservice staff was very attentive and fixed the issues quickly and apologetic about the mistakes. (Missed the pot of tea for exempel) Wanted a treatment booked and tried with Concierge but they were unable to help “because the people they work with was closed” for costumers- would be nice to branch out and make costumer happy rather then being stuck with only those hotel works with and makes money from sending hotel guests to..
