The Mandarin Oriental is in a league of its own. I had a great experience during my stay and felt well taken care of. The staff goes above and beyond and having access to the spa was a huge perk as I worked through my jet lag by swimming laps in the morning. Highly recommend!

I was travelling as a solo parent with a toddler and found that the service levels weren't always consistent.

Absolutely fabulous

We had a great time at this hotel. The room was really spacious and comfortable. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast is totally amazing and the bar at the top of the hotel is fabulous. We liked it so much we have booked to go back.

The location is great, within walking distance to a lot of places. The front desk Karl Magdala is very friendly and helpful by greeting us, showing us the room, and giving us an orientation of the room. He also tried his best to answer our questions and even bringing us a written information to our room. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of varieties. But the Mandarin Grill and Bar restaurant is a little bit disappointed with only “course” meals. The overall room service is good. The only disappointment is that a bed sheet was forgotten to be put under the cover one day, and we did not notice it until we were about to go to bed. We had to wait for 30 minutes before someone could bring it to our room.

Great stay at the Mandarin. Wonderful harbour view room which had everything you could wish for. Service was excellent and great location for visiting the island and Kowloon.

I went in January because i wanted to use the indoor swimming pool. The breakfast was really good and not just buffet, you can order. The breakfast was part of the deal so it was free. The MTR subway station is directly at the back (Central exit F) so that made getting around even more convenient. The staff made themselves known to me and really addressed any issue no matter how minor. This was my first time staying at the Mandarin Oriental (I usually stay at the Grand Hyatt) but I would strongly consider staying here again. My only issue is that the bath water was temperature controlled and I couldnt get it to the level of hot that I like. It is also 10 minutes away (30 to 50HKD) taxi ride to the Central ferry port.

Overall experience was alright, for the price point, we’ve definitely experienced better within Hong Kong

Great breakfast

Hotel is renovated, everything is perfect for my family. It has a sofa bed for my daughter! The service they provided is very detailed and thoughtful! I have been stayed at lots of top hotels around world. This one is the best! Highly recommended their dining, specially the cake shop!

We have been to lots of great hotels around the world. The service at the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong tops them all, or at least none are better. We'd recommend ponying up for a Club room; service is great throughout the hotel, but the Club floor took it to another level & provided a great respite after our days touring Hong Kong. Wow!

The lobby area is a bit worn down, low ceilings and dark finishes in the lobby area create the feeling of claustrophobia. Rooms and spa are nice.

I wish i could give this more stars. The staff were the most friendly and helpful always. The room was spacious and had everything and more that you would ever need. Everything was really good quality. The location is excellent for the Star Ferry. We had an amazing view over the water on the 17th floor. Amazing place

Wonderful Hotel with Excellent Service

Lovely hotel with gorgeous floral arrangements in the Lobby. Good location in Central with easy access to Landmark via footbridge through Prince Building. The service was excellent. Special mention to Karl Maglana who helped me check in / check out. Karl always greeted me by my name whenever he would see me. A tall gentleman named Nicholas (sorry I forgot his last name) was also extra helpful by moving me to the room with the design / layout I preferred. Overall a wonderful stay.

The Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong was a wonderful hotel with beautiful rooms and views and truly exceptionally helpful staff. They went out of their way to assist us.

great hotel, great staff

It’s a real 5-star experience throughout from the moment you check in, being greeted by the staff and offered the welcome drink. The room is beautiful with a great view of Central Pier and the Ferris Wheel. The staff is very attentive, courteous, professional and beyond your expectation!

We came to celebrate our 50 th anniversary. They upgraded us and left wine in the room. Made a very special occasion more special. Staff was superb.

If this is in the budget, we recommend this hotel highly. Services were fast, efficient and done with a smile.

Great for family, business and a must stop in HK

It is one of the best places to stay, hands down. From the staff, the view, the location, the silver mug beer @ Capitans, you can’t really say you’ve been to HK if you have not been / stayed at the Mandarin.

Apart from the late check in fantastic hotel.

This is one of the best hotels in the world that I've stayed in. I reserved a junior suite which, unlike most hotels, was actually a suite and not just a larger room. The executive lounge was also excellent.

Absolutely amazing! Staff from the lobby, the MO Grill+ bar and club lounge were nothing but excellent! Special shout out to Arcmund Man, lounge manager Coco Chey and Aidi for making us feel at home. Service was prompt , discreet and human. Looking forward to our next visit

The hotel had amazing service. We brought a toddler with us and they baby proofed the room before we arrived. Hands down a real 5 star hotel.

This without a doubt is one of the best in the world. The most important aspect is the seamless and flawless attention. Glad to have come back. This is a standard in hospitality.

Nice hotel

The hotel is a little bit dated, but still very comfortable, room layout is not very efficient, we stayed in big suite with view, no window in the bedroom.

The service was first rate at all points of contact. Hotel is beautiful with several restaurants. The cafe is very welcoming and had delicious variety of foods. The afternoon tea was very good. Great location and close to MTR station. Highly recommend.

Best of the best!

Location is at the center of the financial district facing the famous Victoria Harbor. Very convenient to take the ferry or subway. The rooms and lobby are luxurious and grand; however, the families in the room might need some upgrade such as replacing the wood blinds at the bathroom so they can be rolled up/ down with a touch of a button rather than pulling the old fashioned strings. The bathroom in my suite had a grand view of the harbor, but rolling the blinds up was quite a chore! Housekeeping did a great job as well other staff at the hotel, including the ones at the Mandarin Club Lounge. Wished the lounge would offer a wider dejection of food and drinks. It seemed quite limited compared to other club level lounges at other hotels in Hong Kong. Overall, it’s a more traditional hotel and luxurious.

Service was top-notch with a few staff recognizing and greeting me by my last name. Concierge service was fantastic and extremely helpful. Hotel location is extremely convenient with the MTR entrance just a few hundred feet away. Room was a little outdated and harbor view was not as breath-taking as others. Could not try any restaurants due to COVID restrictions. Very happy all in all.

Hand's Down The Best Hong Kong Has To Offer

The Mandarin Oriental once again reminded me what it is the best hotel in Hong Kong. The rooms are impeccable. The service is fit for royalty. Truly a shining gem in a city already known for outstanding hotels.

The check in time takes a bit longer than expected. A very detailed and thorough introduction on the facilities provided in the stay. But could take the process a bit shorter and faster

A happy stay with MOHK

Overall it was a very good stay with MO. The service from Room Reservations, cake shop and restaurants was great. Everywhere within MO was clean and neat. There were some minor issues such as the waiting time for receiving the requested items in the room (a bit too long and in one case we needed to call again to make sure it was actually on the way) and the packing of cakes (seemed to be too luxurious for something to be disposed of fairly quickly after use; perhaps should ask the guests if the takeaway was for consumption right away so that the packing could be much simpler) which MO may want to pay attention to. It was noisy during the daytime as there was some construction/destruction work going on at Statue Square below our room (even we were on 15/F); although this could not be controlled by MO, the staff could have reminded the guests during check-in, offered earplugs and asked for understanding.

Great experience with MO!

Overall, I had a great experience with the MO, the staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect to celebrate a birthday weekend.

Birthday retreat

Wonderful staycation for a birthday and the staff welcomed us and made everything smooth and hassle free. Would recommend staying here as the location is perfect the Hotel is excellent.

Great hotel

The stay was very good and especially the Mandarin Club which was a nice feature in addition to our club room. Hannah Mok, the manager in the mandarin club was extremely helpful and professional and we were very happy with the service there. All the staff were friendly and it was a pleasure to stay in this hotel and I shall certainly come again. One minor issue, which was resolved, was regarding the room view. Hotels.com stated it was a statue square view but it was not. However, the hotel helped us to resolve the issue and delivered us a great experience during our stay there. Thank you Mandarin Oriental.

Value for money

It’s disappointing that MO doesn’t seem to value their return hotel guests and will never offer complimentary upgrade to them even though the booking has been bleak due to Covid

Good hardware but below-average and insufficient software; staff not well trained and unfriendly front desk not ready to make return guests feel being valued at all.

Delighted to have an upgrade to a room with a view of historical sites in Central, very prime location indeed.

It's centrally located, convenient to everywhere we wanted to go.

First time there, have always stayed at other hotels when we visited HK. Beautiful public spaces, beautiful spacious room. Bars and restaurants are excellent. Service overall is about as perfect as it could be. We will definitely be back.

The staff is extremely professional and knowledgeable. We were offered hot towels and drink while waiting for check in. Our luggages also arrived our room not long after we got in. The room is very neat and clean. The bed is very comfy. Wifi is super good! No interruption at all. The bar and restaurants on the top have fantastic city view. We tried Win Wah, which is a Michelin star Chinese restaurant. Exceptional service and fantastic foods! Well deserved Michelin star. Reservation is highly recommended so you may get a city view table.

This property from start to finish was big class. We finished off our honeymoon at this property and they made us feel so special. The hotel itself is gorgeous and they upgraded us to a suite for our special trip which was so beautiful. The views of the city were unparalleled and room was HUGE. The bar downstairs was a lot of fun to grab a night cap as well. Can’t say enough great things.

Great stay, amazing service from check in to check out, attentive but not over bearing. Our room had a beautiful harbour view and was very comfortable. We had breakfast in both the buffet and full service restaurant and enjoyed the food and service.

Hotel staff always very welcoming and helpful. Room very comfortable with great housekeeping services. Sad that Hong Kong is troubled by protestors causing disruption to the city but that is not within the hotel's control. Hotel concierge does an excellent job in keeping guests updated of areas to avoid.

A landmark with lots of charm and flair.

Long weekend in HK. The Hotel is great, maybe needs a little update soon, but its still an amazing place to stay.

Best hotel experience we've had

Excellent in every aspect. We were able to check in early, my girlfriend had a relaxing visit to the spa, we were upgraded to a suite... We will certainly return.

The hotel was more expensive than expected and did not include breakfast and WiFi which was ridiculous for the price. The site was convenient to shopping.

A very strong option among many fine HK hotels

Location couldn't be better for us. Close to everything we had planned. Easy to get to, easy to venture out. Room was fantastic. Didn't try any of the restaurants because we were in HK! But tried the bar on top floor. Very nice vibes. The pool is a little weird, very small, strange lighting. I'd def stay again and recommend to other visitors

We liked everything about the Mandarin, it is a fantastic hotel and the staff are amazing, we had a beautiful room and the location was perfect, there is nothing that this hotel could do to make it any better, it was superb
