Every staff member very helpfull and polite
We requested early check in but didn't pay as it said it would request and hotel get back to us Heard nothing Arrived at 1pm and told to come back at 2 as room not ready. Then when recieving email to check our they had charged my card £30 without my permission Also put us in a room next to train tracks wich was constant noise
Great stay, great location, great price
From check-in to check out it was a smooth easy process. Excellent customer service on the front desk on check in. Room clean, well stocked and comfortable.
Easy check in and check out, convenient location and nice staff
Excellent

Great hotel very clean nice decor prime location
It was great stay. Great hotel!
It was a nice hotel clean and in a good area and the gave you umbrellas for the days for a reasonable price that was nice
Clean and tidy, speedy check in and out, Peking around the corner
Great location and excellent dinning options.
Easy to check in and check out. Very walkable area and convenient with all the stores around. Cleanliness was alright, the only downside was the stain on the bath towel. Room was spacious. Would recommend.
Good comfortable hotel. Staff are very helpful. Only downside is that the proximity to the train line means you can hear the trains at time.
One night in Manchester
We are just in Manchester for a night and couldn't be happier with the location as we got to see and do so much! Staff was excellent at front desk with help for parking and answering questions. Later, our room ran out of tissues and they sent someone within 3mins. Comfy beds and modern facilities all around. We will definitely stay again if we are here.
It was very nice
Maldron Magic!
This is a really lovely hotel with a great breakfast! There is also a bar and cafe downstairs. The room was big enough for us, and the shower was strong and hot! The location was excellent, and we were able to walk to nearly everywhere we wanted to go
It was very average and noisy unfortunately.
Recommended
Very good location for central Manchester. Clean, modern hotel
Great hotel really well priced
5star
Hotel well located near Manchester City Centre. We paid for an Executive room for 2 x nights which was OK however was very bare bones for the price we paid. There was alot of empty space and could gave been furnished alot better. We used the restaurant once and the food would be described as mediocre at best. Cold soup served which was too thick and frozen salmon with very undercooked brocolli spears.Potatoes appeared to come out of a frozen bag from Iceland or similar. Definitly not worth the £24 they were charging for it.The time it took to get served was also bordering on the unacceptable. Nobody came to take out order so had to go and order from the bar. Breakfast buffet was ok though. Would not choose to stay at this property again unfortunately,
Great place for a weekend stay!
A conveniently located, really clean and comfortable hotel with really decent sized rooms. I came in for a conference with my partner, and we found the room really nice. My only complaint is that the bar area is the only real area to hang out, but they won't allow you to bring food in from outside to eat there. Otherwise, a great little hotel!
Hotel said we could not check in early but did offer to hold bags. Another person in our party came 5 minutes later after we set about walking the aera, used the automated kiosk and was able to check in right away. Once we returned, we also used the automated kiosk and got checked in early then stood in the lobby for over an hour as the only person at the front desk basically ignored a large group of us all waiting to get our luggage back. This person would wait on people just walking in the door and left us standing. On Saturday evening there was a party that took over the dining area and spilled out into the bar/lounge area. The music was horrifically loud, there was severely inadequate staffing, we could not purchase food, they were out of glasses so we could not get drinks, basically the entire point of our group from around the world all booking at this hotel was the close proximity to our event, the lounge and restaurant for gathering before and after. Saturday is always our big gathering night, and this was an epic failure. Breakfast buffet was always very good, plenty of offerings and nothing allowed to run out. The bar/restaurant on any night other than the Saturday night was great, the service was acceptable. The location of the hotel is within walking distance of anything anyone could need from food offerings to some night life and even an Asda Express directly across the street and a Greggs across the other street so what else does one need?
Comfortable Hotel clise to city centre
Comfortable, clean hotel within walking distance of the city centre. Staff were friendly and breakfast was good. Room a little smaller than the pictures butvwas comfortable and everything worked as it should. Would definitely recommend for a short stay in Manchester.
Nice rooms and the the staff are really good and helpful
Great hotel which offered everything you could need in a hotel room - conveniently located a short walk from the train stations. Also walkable into the centre and lots of bars and restaurants on your doorstep. However the hotel is very quiet and I slept really well in a comfortable bed. Highly recommend
Great hotel restaurant and service. Rooms were nice enough. I found the pillows uncomfortable but that might be a me problem.
Friendly staff
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Hotel bright and clean and nice decor, including our large room. Delicious breakfast and good choice of didhes.
Staff was friendly and ready to help answer any question we had.
Fantastic Hotel!
Fantastic hotel, close to the city centre, and just off Oxford Road. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and modern hotel. Super comfy super king bed, bonus of a coffee pod machinemd a shower with standard and rainfall heads. The restaurant was lovely - busy at breakfast, but no shortage of food (which was delicious). Highly recommend, and will definitely stay here again.
Great stay. Wonderful central location. Staff very friendly and helpful
All good.
Staff are a credit to the hotel
Really great service from all staff. Unfortunately one of our evenings in the hotel bar/ restaurant had a private function which impacted on all the otge hotel guests as tables nit vkeared, ran out of glasses, long waits fir service etc. Clearly neede more staff than what were allicated on duty
Wicked weekend!
Lovely hotel, friendly staff delicious breakfast and a great location for the theatre and station, would definitely stay again.
Would stay again!
Great location, close to Piccadilly station. Room was clean and well equipped, checkin was fast as it was automated - would stay again
Fantastic place to stay for a weekend getaway or city break highly recommend
Excellent Stay.
Another excellent stay at the Maldron Hotel. Warmly received by reception who promptly booked us in. The room was clean as was the en suite. Breakfasts were superb as usual. Thank you staff of The Maldron Hotel we look forward to staying with you again.
Nice hotel
Perfect room and location for an event at the University. And wonderful staff who sorted out sending on the games console i left behind accidentally!
Nice one!
My son and I had a lovely stay at the Maldron. I really cant fault it.
Thanks for a great stay
Very welcoming and accommodating us leaving our luggage both before check in and after. Very friendly night bar staff. Room was excellent beds super comfy. Will stay again
Value for money
Nice hotel
This hotel was near everything and was super clean.
Christmas market trip
Great hotel in excellent place for city centre and public transport. Lovely rooms
The welcoming staff make all the difference. Just wish Maldron would make those self-check in till optional, as would much prefer to deal with your lovely people.
Quick and easy self check-in using a machine in the foyer. Discounted parking just around the corner in a Europark (although we did see someone reporting a smashed window the following morning so park at your own risk). The room was spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Would return.
A very pleasant experience staying at this hotel. Once we entered we were greeted by some very friendly Staff who helped us check in. The room itself was lovely too. Plenty of pillows, towels and a lovely selection of teas and coffee. The room was clean and to a good standard. We enjoyed our visit and would happily come back.
The room upgrade was terrible, like half the furniture was missing. The tv had no channels that worked
Next to the rail station. Not for light sleeper if you have the end of the hall room like we did. The hotel was clean and new.
Stayed for one night in a standard room. Large hotel with everything you need for a night or two. Staff were friendly. Easy to get to from the train station and easy to get into central Manchester. Would stay again.
Clean hotel poor quality breakfast
Good size room and good shower however breakfast could have had more choice and breakfast items overcooked and dry
It was an amazing experience at Maldron. Central to everywhere I needed to go to. Very close to Oxford road train station, bus stop and shopping areas. Food was great as well
class weekend away and so central
Nice place to stay
A little basic but good and clean - great central location
Excellent stay at Maldron, very comfortable and clean hotel with helpful staff
Excellent location to University. Wonderful room upgrade, so spacious. Worked all day from delightful coffee shop/restaurant- selection was fantastic with gorgeous coffee and excellent service.
Perfect
Stayed here on a business trip. Excellent hotel and staff are very friendly.
Walking distance to everywhere in the city.
very nice staff who couldn't do enough for you. The beds are very comfortable, everything clean and a good selection of tea, coffee, biscuits and even a bottle of water each in the room. Breakfast was super with the best selection of hot and cold food I have had in many hotels. The location is great for transport ( Oxford Rd station is just a short walk away) and the theatre.
Great place
Staff very friendly. Breakfast was lovely. Hotel was excellent, bathroom was a decent size. The hotel is 10 minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly train station and 15 minute walk from the Arndale shopping centre. Will definitely return.
Missed the parking lot so had to do nearly a whole lap of the city to get back. Otherwise parking is convenient to the hotel. Very central to many restaurants and bars. And great view of the city from our room which was very large. Would stay again as the traffic to get to the city was not a problem.
Manchester show time
Good central position easy to access centre and shows and restaurants. Service was good and hotel was clean and tidy. Good breakfast with lots of choice
If I could give zero stars, I would. My recent stay at the Maldron Hotel in Manchester was an experience I’d rather forget. Firstly, I arrived to find bodily hair in the sink—a surefire sign that cleanliness isn’t a top priority here. Then, multiple parcels I’d been expecting arrived at the hotel, but nobody notified me, and I had to hunt them down myself. Check-in was a nightmare. The queue stretched out endlessly, and staff seemed completely overwhelmed. When I asked to borrow a pair of scissors, I was told they couldn’t give them out for “health and safety” reasons. Basic amenities? Not here. No shower gel in the bathroom, no fridge in the room, and the water was scalding hot with no way to adjust it comfortably. For the price, you’d be much better off staying at the Voco just down the road. Never again.

Brilliant, will stay again.
Staff very helpful, check in was a breeze. Great location.
Friendly staff, who always go above and beyond
Great location
Great all around cant say anything negative really enjoyed it will book again
A great hotel, only let down slightly by it's out of the way location and it can be slightly noisy from outside traffic, depending on your room.
Good location, basic, customer service not great
The room was clean but basic. We stayed on 3rd view and no real view as window was partially covered with metal screen making the room dark. Reception staff not enough of. Had to use pads in reception to check in as it too over 10 minutes and 1 member of staff still serving same customer and 2 couples in front of me. Couldn’t get coffee at breakfast as only 1 machine working and each time I went up - 3 separate times staff were looking at it as it had stopped working. The second one was completely turned off. No personal service in rooms or at breakfast. Good location but wouldn’t stay here again as I like those little touches from staff/hotel that makes you want to come back.
Disappointing
Nice hotel, noisy room, unable to shut window properly, next to busy road, breakfast nice but coffee machines not working. Check in process a faff if paying cash
Friendly staff, well located hotel
Great views, hardly want to leave the room. Great breakfast choices.
I loved staying here, very clean room and helpful staff members. Will book here again
A lovely stay at the city centre Maldron Hotel. The rooms were immaculate. The staff were so friendly. Just a few minutes walk from the theatre. I will definitely be staying here again.
All in all a good stay but paid extra for a vitality breakfast which was very different from what was advertised £13.50 for horrendous scrambled egg, burnt sausage, toast that cooked one side and an omelette (kindly offered to compensate for awful eggs) didn’t arrive before I had to run for train. Disappointed.
Fabulous central hotel. Excellent service. Room modern and comfortable and immaculately clean. Great find - will return.
Really comfortable room with great facilities, iron, hairdryer, tea and coffee and a Tv you can cast to which was a nice surprise and appreciated as my son and I chilled for an early bedtime. Beds are super comfy and despite overlooking the train station it’s super quiet when the window is closed. Would most definitely book again. We had one night so we could explore the next day and be in the right area for the theatre the next day.
Staff amazing and super friendly
I enjoyed this hotel, but it was difficult to sleep because the noisy train. If you do stay, I recommend informing them that you would like to stay on the side away from the train. The area around the hotel is close to the city centre, but most hotels are in this city. The amenities were nice and the hotel breakfast was okay. One irksome experience with the staff is that they called me and woke me up from a nap (I couldn't sleep the previous night due to train noise and jet lag). They called to check-in on how my stay was going, which was great from a service standpoint, but I wanted to cut the conversation short whereas they wished to prolong the conversation. I think a quick, "is this a good time to ask about how your stay is going?" would have been kind.
Reception stafff very welcoming and friendly The rooms are spotless with comfy beds. Nice powerful shower. Stayed here 4 times now and never had any issues at all.
Really pleasant stay, very accessible to the city centre for shopping, food and attractions. Staff were all very accommodating.
Friendly
Friendly, comfortable and clean. Good breakfast
Our stay was excellent from start to finish! The staff were friendly and efficient, the hotel clean and well maintained. Breakfast delicious!
Would highly recommend this property, everything about it was excellent
Close to university
Great location for studentparents
the Iron provided by hotel was dirty and stained my shirt. i tried to compliant to reception about it and was told that there is nothing they can do. it ruined my stay/visit
A mixed bag
A mixed bag - some staff extremely helpful, others dreadful. Paid in advance, arrived early so understandably couldn’t check in. Items in luggage damaged by staff but stated not their responsibility. Gave us the wrong room, eventually got it changed but took forever. Room ok, beds on castors so unstable. Breakfast a shambles, nowhere near enough staff - I felt sorry for those working, completely overwhelmed. Finally, overcharged for my stay. I was promised a refund and a revised bill on checkout. Nothing received-formal complaint raised & disputed via credit card company.
Great hotel for city break
Lovely spacious room, very modern and clean and comfy bed
Overnight Stay
Great stay, lovely staff. Exactly what I needed.
Fantastic staff & food
Very good
Modern, clean hotel. Check in was a bit chaotic and for a short while, thought my bag had been lost that was placed in the secure storage. Thankfully not n I’ll put the chaotic check in to it being busy. Stayed in room 1209, so quite high up which made it quiet in the evening. All in all, a pleasant stay.
Lovely comfortable room with soft comfy beds
I gave staff & service 3* only because the bar staff were not aware of how to make certain drinks or didn’t know what certain drinks were. The service was extremely slow & at one point we were waiting 25 minutes for our drinks. That was the only downside. As for everything else we had a great stay here & would defs return.
Great location for the gay village
Great location and comfortable stay
Good central hotel for everything Manchester has to offer. Staff welcoming. Car park very close by.
