Very nice resort. This is my second time here. Good food, quiet and beautiful resort. One of the best beaches in Caraibe. Our butler Cesar was very helpful and nice with us. He went above and beyond to make us feel exceptional.

Beach is beautiful and the grounds are beautiful as well.

The property and beach are amazing. The rooms are dated and in need of some repairs. The air conditioning barely work and need major improvements with a dehumidifier system. The beds were very uncomfortable. The cabanas needed repairs , with one ready to collapse. The food was not very good, but you could always find something to eat,so you won't starve.Staff is amazing and the grounds are beautifully kept.

We enjoyed our stay at Majestic Colonial. Our room was not ready upon our 1am arrival. We were told they over booked. We we put in a temp. room. The next morning we sat for 4 hrs in the front lobby with our luggage waiting for our room. Guest services was snotty, and spoke to m

We were there for 17 days, the beach, pools, staff, rooms and the property in general were all wonderful.

Layout is awesome one huge pool beautiful beach

Food variety is good. I wood recommend to put a bit less salt during preparation. Fruits selection is fantastic. I wood recommend to have protection mats in the room showers because the floor is slippery.

Chaotic and long check in. Rooms were large other than the bathroom which the toilet was separated into a very tight space, unfriendly to my 6’3” husband. Bedding was pilly but the bed itself was beautiful. The food looked beautiful but to be completely honest, wasn’t good at all. We went to the “Japanese”and the “Mexican” restaurants. The hibachi was pretty good, the Mexican was most definitely not good. The grounds were average, but the layout was poor- only 1 accessible restroom for the entire pool area. No poolside service for drinks, and no food. The bartenders were painfully slow but the drinks were decent.

Excellent people amazing service and great food

They go out of their way to make your stay a 5 star experience. We were stranded by a certain van company, and they called us a cab and we made it to the Airport in good time.

We had a wonderful stay at the Majestic colonial. We were there 10 years ago and it was just like being there again. Beaches are beautiful. The staff very friendly and fun. Our Butler. Javier was excellent. The beach bartender Martinez was awesome and so was the pool entertainment, we loved it.

Check in was a disaster didn’t get a room for at least 2 hours. Wasted our day. Staff was unfriendly. Room was mediocre and nothing of what we asked for. Food was terrible in general , got food poisoning at the Japanese restaurant. Room maintenance was slow and not enough water was put in our fridge. Beach was nice.

This was our 5th time at the property. Expected a vip room upgrade to adult only but got major pool side. It was pretty good. Just heard others talk about their upgrades and was much more. Had a great time.

We had a fantastic stay at Majestic Colonial! Fantastic would even be an understatement because everyone was just so kind and lovely!!!! Our flight was delayed so we arrived at the property at around 7pm and the check in was very smooth and quick! They gave us room which was 1 min walk to the beach so we got an oceanview plus the pool is right beside us! So whoever who chose the room for us, we can’t thank you enough! It was absolutely beautiful and waking up with the sounds of the waves is always I have dreamed of!!! This is me and my bf first out of the country together and you guys made our vacation truly an unforgettable one!!!! The staff were all amazing!!! We had our 1st dinner at the Tres Carebelas where I met Marisol! She is such a sweet lady! I forgot to bring my lash glue and she offered me to bring hers and gave it to me! She is wonderful and super kind!!! We also dined it at the Rodeo Grill and I ordered a medium rare steak but rare was the one given to me and I asked our waiter that time I forgot his name but he has braces and he changed my steak very fast! He even asked me to cut my steak first before he leaves so he’s sure everything is good on my food! This is a very highly attentive quality and his manager is also very kind!!!! We didn’t eat dessert bec we were too full and they offered us a free shot of the famous MamaJuana and we drank it in their traditional Latino way!!!! It was a fun and beautiful dining experience!!!! We wish to come back!!!! soon!

It was our anniversary Ceaser our butler and the room maid service went above and beyond!! Made one of the most memorable moments for us! We will definitely be coming back again and requesting Ceaser as our butler again! Thank you for the amazing hospitality and experience

Great time in Punta Cana

Loved our stay here at Majestic Colonial! The beach area is huge with plenty of lounge chairs and you can walk for what felt like miles. The food was amazing- the French and Japanese restaurants needed reservations which were easy to come by and were so good! The Steakhouse was also very good. The buffets were excellent with plenty of options- there is 1 buffet that is right near the beach so you can eat with an ocean view. Build your own omlet station for breakfast and pasta for lunch were 2 of our favorites! The staff were excellent and the circus and magic shows are a must see. The pool was huge and super nice! Definitely recommend!

I really enjoyed my time at the Majestic Colonial! The entire property was stunning, the beach and ocean water was gorgeous, the food and drinks were delicious, and all of the staff I encountered was amazing and super kind. I definitely hope to be back in the future.

Family and I stayed here and loved it. The pool was awesome, the beach is right there at property and the water was so warm. The buffets were good, the steakhouse restaurant was good. The staff was excellent, from host, to bartender, to wait staff, to entertainment staff. So friendly, great energy throughout resort.

This was our 8th trip to the Dominican Republic. Over the past 25 years, we have visited Juan Dolio Beach, Puerto Plata (many times) and now Punta Cana twice. Punta Cana is our favorite of all the DR resort areas we have traveled to. Two years ago, we stayed at the Majestic Elegance (with the VIP Club room) and absolutely loved it. We wanted to return to Elegance this year, but could not get a VIP Club room package for the weeks we had available. We saw that we could stay next door at Majestic Colonial and get the desired Club room, and we are glad we did! We found Majestic Colonial to be similar, just a little less flash, and our check-in process was slow compared to Elegance. We had to wait for 3 other couples to be "ready" and lost over an hour waiting. That was our only "complaint" and we soon forgot all about it. I am limited to what I can leave in this review, so to be brief: Food: Excellent overall, especially Japanese and French restaurants and buffet omelette staion. Bars: Fantastic, especially Leandro (BEST) & Minerva at Club pool bar. Room: Clean, spacious, comfortable bed with great housekeeping by Iris Mova. Butler Service: Willnier was great and cared for us like family with every request met with grace and charm. Beach: Amazing. Gorgeous. Clean. Pools: Amazing. Gorgeous. Clean Atmosphere: Fun if you want, quiet when you want. Guests: Great mix of ages from 20's to 80's. Lots of mid-50's like us. Overall: We will return next year. Not a doubt.

Staff was GREAT from our butler (Edith) to the chef's to the busboy. everyone was pleasant an happy and very accommodating.

Staff is so kind and joyful. The food is delicious, fresh and big variety. Beach is clean and beautiful. Very calm and quiet resort with lots of fun activities. Find Martires by the beach bar for the best attention.

Loved how much they have to offer at the property. Very helpful and accommodating in every way. Beautiful views no matter where you are at the resort. Entertainment staff and bartenders were a blast as well. Will definitely return in the future.

Room was close to beach!! Ease of finding things. Love that you have a chapel and able to attend Catholic Mass! And loved golf was included in our stay!!thank you!!

This resort was wonderful. It is beachfront and the beach is great. The staff was wonderful and the food options were endless - also great food! There is not much to do other than beach but if that's what you want great choice.

Great for a family vacation at a beautiful beach resort.

To begin, the room needed an upgrade and needed to be cleaned. It was dusty and needed to be swept. Most of the staff did not speak English - even a little bit. When we asked a question they called over several people before we were able to communicate our needs. The signs on the property were not clear, the towels for the beach were stained with bleach and were rough. We had to stock up on our towels because they wouldn't allow us more than one each, which wouldnt even dry us. There was one restaurant that was good, the seafood restaurant. Everything else was awful, even the dessert. If you are a person who is used to hire standards for your vacations I would not recommend this resort. The staff that was working for tips were smiling, friendly, and spoke enough English to get our needs met. Anyone not working for tips were confused when we asked a question. Make sure to bring your Google translate. I asked for the room to be swept and they told me they didnt have that...weird that they didn't have a broom. The final thing was that there was no deadbolt on the door for when we were sleeping at night. Anyone with access could have come in anytime. One night we had somebody banging on our door and we were terrified! It was maintenance trying to get in to "fix" our AC...He had the wrong room and apologized. However, that was scary for two women on vacation. They need deadbolts on the doors.

We had a wonderful stay at Majestic Colonial. We upgraded to the colonial club adults only and it was definitely worth it! Our butler, Enrique took care of us all week and we really liked the wrist bands which granted access to our room, so we never had to worry about a room key! There are plenty of food options at the buffets and we enjoyed all of the restaurants too. Our only dislike was the amount of cigarette smoking on the property (there were not designated areas, so people lit up at pool, outdoor bars, everywhere!) but we are not smokers so that is why we minded it so much. Overall had an excellent stay and would stay again.

The Majestic Colonial is just that — Majestic. In every way. Outstanding and caring staff. Excellent food. Wonderful beach access. Superb spa. Beautiful grounds. We especially like to mention Rosa, Raphael, Ricardo, Tony, Julio, Dermody, Jesus and too many others to mention. Highly recommend this in every way!

Facilities need to be updated. Service was ok. Sometimes very slow. Drinks were lite on the alcohol. People were pleasant but language became a huge barrier. Not many employees speak English. Beautiful beaches. Food wasn’t great.

So clean and well maintained property

Our second time here. Some wear and tear shows since last time. Food is good, property is lovely, allot of effort goes into making guests happy. Tried several resorts in DR, this one has the best beach sand, water, umbrellas.

The staff are all super friendly and will get you anything you need. Our butler Jesus was amazing. Food was very good as well.

Activities

I liked the court yard music DJ wish it went til midnight. So fun being able to sit outside. The activities by the pool were great!! Very energetic and friendly staff. Would definitely go back to this location!!

Nice vacation beach and pools were great. Food was good, lots of options. Had trouble with reservations made 6 months in advanced and had to stay on a different side of the resort from the other 18 people in our party. They do their best but felt we could have been compensated for the troubles in a better way.

Our first time at Majestic Colonial and from check in by Mr. Daniel at the front desk who was exceptional to the cleanliness of the property also every staff member we encountered was very friendly and welcoming to the Food and Beverage manager Mr. Carlos B. and his staff who went above and beyond to make our Anniversary dinner unforgettable. The daily activities and the shows were very interactive and entertaining. The Foam pool party was great!!! Overall We were very satisfied with the experience and look forward to coming back.

Our room was in great need of being renovated! The repairs that were done in the room left streaks on the doors, walls, and floor. Our room needed updating also. The plug in the bathroom was not safe. But, that being said, the majority of the staff was so helpful and as accommodating as they could be. We felt very welcome at the steakhouse close to the beach and ate there many times! We loved the variety of food and the stunning beauty of the grounds!

The Majestic Colonial was beyond what I imagined. It was beautiful. The property was wonderfully manicured, clean and easy to navigate. The rooms were quite large, clean and comfortable. The staff was amazing. Always friendly and welcoming. The entertainment and staff was fabulous. I would highly recommend this resort!

Great resort with everything you need. Friendly and accommodating staff. They offer many services and a variety of excursions and extra activities from wine and rum tasting to hand cigar rolling. Casino on site with convenient atm access and cashier for tickets. Great experience.

Wonderful place!

I could give this rating even less stars but that would not be fair to some of the service staff. We arrived 3:30 pm local time, we were directed to a lounge area where we sat waiting and waiting for ultimately was 2 hours and no one would tell us what's going on. We were asked for our passports and directed to sit and wait. There was wine and snacks provided but no other information. Finally 5 pm I asked someone at the desk area what the hold up was. I was told we were next, however there were several couples and groups that came in before us and were in and out. Finally at about 5:20 ish we were introduced to our butler and he gave us a quick tour of the resort. Then directed us to another lounge area and informed us that our room wasn't quite ready. I asked the butler (Samuel who by the way was amazing overall) why did it take until now for this to be discussed with us. He didn't have an answer but said he would work on some sort of compensation (ultimately we got a $100 resort credit and some chocolate covered strawberries) The whole time waiting if we had known our room wasn't ready we would have walked on the beach or sat at one of the bars any place but that stuffy room with no view. The rest of the vacation was good over all. The pool bar staff was great! The food was average and the staff was ok, it seamed very chaotic we even came back to our table one dinner at the main buffet to find it was given away even with our drinks and my glasses left on the table. 3*

Everything other than our room and the check-in process was fabulous! Our room was not clean upon check-in but the maid did correct that the next day. Our check in process took 2 hours. Our tv didn’t work our entire time there and we did tell our butler on Tuesday. But we did learn you have to complain I guess to get exemplary service from your butler. Lesson learned. But we would definitely go back. The resort itself and entertainment, staff hospitality was top notch!

The staff and food were good. Our room smelled musty and I fell one morning because the floor was wet by the air conditioner return. Luckily I didn’t get badly hurt just a few bruises.

We had a great time. The property is beautiful, and the staff was generally friendly. The food at the Supreme was quite good overall, and the overall value of the resort for the money was excellent. It was also great having unlimited drinks included in the all-inclusive price. However, our room needed attention. The curtains were partially ripped off their tracks, the desk chair was missing, the toilet seat was mounted crookedly on the toilet, there was only one hook to hang the bath towels and it too was mounted crookedly, the jets on the Jacuzzi flowed anemically or didn't work at all, etc. In fact, there were many parts of the resort that could use a good facelift. There were also some communication issues with the staff, some of whom didn't understand basic English (although this is forgiveable since the main language of the country is Spanish). Nevertheless, despite these flaws, the positives outweighed the negatives; and we would be happy to return, so long as we were given a better room.

Enjoyed our visit at the Majestic Colonial Resort in Punta Cana. The food, service, and ambiance were outstanding. The staff and others we met were very helpful and friendly. A shout out to our butler Henry and bartender Dominga! Hope we can make it back soon.

My husband and I spend a week in your hotel and we had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The property was very clean including the public bathrooms. We loved the beach, you can walk a very long distance. The water was blue and turquoise and the sand like sugar. Gorgeous! This is the second time staying at your hotel. Will definitely come back again!😊

This is our forth visit to DR and third time staying at the Majestic Resorts. First time was at Colonial, second time we got married at Elegance (moved from Colonial due to Covid in 21) and then this visit Feb 7-14. Our other time going we thought we'd try somewhere different (Riu Republica) and that only turned into regret for not going back to the Majestic Resorts. We are partial to the Club Side swimup rooms. Club includes a Butler which is nice for helping set up dinner plans and helping with anything room wise you may need. We generally tip him decent at the start of the trip and again later. This time we had Henry and he was great! Weve also had Yefferson and he is awesome! Rooms are nice, cleaned daily and fridge restocked. We leave a tip ($3 daily) and some candies for the maid service. The beach this trip was the best we've seen it out of all our visits. No seaweed this time around. Prior we've went in Sept and May 2x. This time of year is definitely more cooler in the evenings than the prior times weve went. It was refreshing. Dont let the weather apps scare you, ours showed a bunch of rain and it only rained a little. Mostly overnight. Grounds are beautiful. Crew is constantly working on it. Drinks are yummy. My favorite is the Majestic. Hubby loves XV, Sprite & Lime. July at the swimup bar was great. Lots of food options. Love the view at the Sea Side restaurant. This visit we felt like the food was the best we've had when there. Relax & enjoy at the best

Nice place

I've vacationed in the D. R. 13 times and this is my very favorite resort. Gorgeous pool, beach, landscaping and a huge selection of delicious food. Our room was very spacious and we had a lovely pool view. The service, especially housekeeping was impeccable. We met many return guests so that says something about a resort. Can't wait to go back!

The property is beautiful.. The staff are top notch and extremely attentive to any and all of your needs.. Isaiais our Butler was fantastic and made my 60th Birthday unforgettable! Linda our house keeper was wonderful! Charmin who works in at least 3 of the resteraunts was just so friendly and kind! Christian a waiter at the Beach buffet was kind and helpful! Benjamin and Ambiarix who were up front always ready to help and last but certainly not least Aaudy and Raina in the Excursions booth were awesome... Obviously i cant say enough about the wonderful experience i had at Majestic Colonial Punta Cana...ill just say I cant wait to come back!!

Decent enough vacation. Beach was fantastic! Could use some improvements ie, buffet food luke warm and drinks were very slow. Staff friendly. Butler service and adult only section was not a necessary upgrade as we did not use it.

We had a great time and the staff were very friendly. That said, the front desk needs help. They couldn’t find our reservation, even when I gave them the hotel booking number. Eventually they got it sorted. As an apology, guest services offered us a free hydrotherapy experience, which was very much appreciated. The spa assured us it would be taken off at check out, but you guessed it, the front desk insisted we only had a discount and owed money. Luckily I had received a letter saying we were to be comp’d, but even with the letter it took them 20 minutes to remove it from our bill. Other than the front desk annoyances, we had a great time. Special shout out to the lower lobby bartenders and the servers at Taino which were fabulous. The food at Taino was also exceptional. Other restaurants were hit or miss. Some good, some not so good, but nothing spectacular. Beach was beautiful and pool was very clean. The hydrotherapy was a lot of fun, thanks to the staff. I would recommend this resort.

The beach is right there, is great! The food was good. The service and staff were so nice, professional and helpful.

This property has everything you need or want. The ocean is its big value….beach is beautiful, with wide open spaces. As a solo traveler, who happens to be 67, I found it to safe on every level. As far of being inclusive, this is the second time I chose this route….I basically was impressed by the choices…if you go hungry, it’s your problem…I loved the gelato….just saying…..

Hola! We stayed here 16 years ago. It was great coming back. Place is well maintained but getting dated. Good facilities for little kids but not much activities for early teens. Staff are friendly. Food was offering was great but quality was only ok. Free flow alcohol is good if you are a big drinker.
