Great house in a great location

Fantastic house with plenty of space. Great location, just minutes walk from the centre of Lake Tekapo. Loved every minute of it!

Too easy, luxury

Amazing amount of space, and all so clean. Flexible check in and out times made travel that much easier to manage. Paying on-site by card sorted us out simply and easily.

We loved it. The overnight stay was my present for my friend’s birthday and she was thrilled to be there, thrilled with the view and standard of accommodation

This was a complete 2 bedrooms fully furnished apartment. Nice view and a friendly host. There's a clear view of stars from the front of property. Will book this property again.

Bad communication from property manager

I have never made a bad review ever on Hotels.com. So I hope that the owner will read this. Upon arriving at 1 PM. I asked what we do about breakfast because I wasn’t sure. I was told by the property manager that I would’ve had to have, pre-ordered it when I made my booking. Not having my paper in front of me I thought that I may have done that and I said I was aware of the breakfast. But the manager said that I had not and it was thus not available. I I specifically booked this property because of the continental breakfast. I could’ve found many less expensive options. The property manager made it clear that the breakfast was no longer available. Although even on their website, it says that I have until 5 o’clock to order it. I did not want any problems so I just excepted her explanation graciously. Later that evening, I contacted Hotels.com to register a complaint. They reached out to the property manager, who then shockingly told hotels.com that they had informed me that I would have to order it by 5 o’clock that day, and that they waited for my car that they didn’t receive. Why on earth, would I not have ordered it right then if she had told me that? It appeared that the property manager either did not want to do the extra work for breakfast, or did not, as she said, have the supplies necessary, because I had not reserved it when I made my booking. if you want to reach us, please reach out to me. And please solve this problem for others.

Fantastic property. Great communication Comfy clean bed Awesome shower Super fast internet. We loved it some much we wanted to stay longer but it was booked out for three weeks ahead. If you can book this place DO IT!

The apartment was so nice, spacious, warm cozy and the garage kept the car from being frozen. The antique furniture was lovely as was the gas fireplace. We all loved it and wanted to stay longer.

We got put in wrong room- disappointed after carrying 4 x 20kg bags up narrow stairs & unpacking only to have a knock on the door 1/2 hour latter to say they’d made a mistake.The room we were in down below was terrible with very old uncomfortable couches that were very hard to get out of, worse thing was the noise from upstairs walking around- need soundproofing could hear every word and no doubt they could hear our conversations - we never got to sleep until the wee small hours and got woken up again 3.5 hours latter.

Lovely place

The house is close to the lake. It's well presented, clean and tidy, thoughtfully done, plenty of books to read, games provided to spend the time. House had washer and dryer provided and taken care by a very attentive and kind owner. Would love to come again and stay longer.

Great Location - Great Views of Lake / Mountains

Stayed here for one night with my daughter. Apartment was up a hill hence had great views of the lake and mountains. Nice deck upstairs to enjoy. Nice having 2 bathrooms. Very clean and tidy. Host was very helpful with recommending places and are history - thank you.

Our unit was lovely, spacious and clean. An incredible view and 2 min drive to the shops which is very walkable.

excellent property with everything you could need provided. the only downside for me was the noise from the apartment above. you can hear everything from foot traffic to conversations even the toilet being flushed. some serious noise reducing insulation is needed between the ceilings of the apartments. which is a shame considering they are new builds and everything else is excellent.

These apartments are just brilliant. Huge in size and everything is basically new and well appointed. Amazing host and the views were incredible. Very central to town. Host really went out of her way to make our 2 yesr old daughter feel at home as well. Very kind. Would highly recomend anyone to stay here.

Mackenzie Apartments & Suites are literally a couple of streets behind the town centre, that being so you're out of the way of the tourist path, a little quieter, a little less busy and you have your own space, did I mention that view from up here!

Welcome was excellent with full explanation of facilities and suggestions for things to do and places to eat. The apartment was very comfortable and well appointed. Would recommend.

Really nice 2 bedroom apartment with lots of character and a lovely view. The perfect place to base yourself to explore the Mackenzie country.
