The owner Pip was great, she gave us early access and a late checkout. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The place was wonderfully looked after and it had everything going for it

Lovely clean room, spacious. If out of hours and no swim towel ring number on the reception door . Easy access with combination number to get into room. Nice pool/ table/chairs. Careful with pool ladder as slippy Great location and value

The self check in was very easy and the property is well located. We parked on the street with no issues in the afternoon and walked around from there. The room was large and comfortable, the bathroom was very big. The pool looked wonderful, we unfortunately forgot bathers so couldn’t enjoy it.

Be careful not to be fooled!

The facilities and pictures on the website are totally different from the actual rooms. When I checked, I was told that there were no such facilities. Then why do they put items and pictures of facilities that are not included? It was tantamount to a scam. So I terminated my stay. Please refund my money as soon as possible.

Bed too hard for me. kitchen etc facilities/utensils either too limited or not there at all. Stairs to room on next level has no rail, very steep and not good for anyone with limited movement or bad back (no lift to take suitcases up). Parking almost impossible to get.

I’ve stayed at this place a few times now. It’s in a great location, only a 5 minute walk to the main area of Fremantle. Theres a boutique bottle shop across the road and the plunge pool is beautiful after a hot day. Sadly though, the accommodation is looking a little run down and there’s an issue in room 2 with wall paint peeling and possible mould problem which isn’t good for someone with a compromised immune system.

Good location

The room itself was great. Nice bed, reasonable amount of room. However, we had no hot water. I contacted the mobile number on the door of reception via text to let them know, and also via Expedia. There is nobody on site to talk to about these issues. I have had no reply. (I sent the messages over 48 hours ago). Even just a “sorry about that” would be nice. So, it’s a nice place for a reasonable price, but there’s nobody to help you if something immediate needs to be done.

The room was neat, tidy and had a very comfortable bed. We enjoyed our stay.

Very nice accommodation. The only problem was the shower head would not stay up. It kept falling down and I couldn’t tighten it to stay in place. And then in the morning we had no hot water so had to have freezing cold showers!

Clean, tidy, good location. Would stay again.

They need just some kind of parking

Was self check in so hassle free. Room was very clean & comfortable. Lovely big bathroom. Parking is on the street & is only free from 4:00pm-10am & apparently for 2 hours during the day. This wasn’t an issue for us as we were out with the car during the day but something to take into account. Also street was pretty busy for parking in the evening. You may not get a park directly outside accommodation.

Great place to stay very clean and tidy

Non smoking site but smoking guests made our stay quite unpleasant. The owners/managers were not happy with the situation and regretted our (and other guests) discomfort. Bit too late for us.

Maand Up is a great place to stay. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. The area is quiet and within walking distance to dining places. I would recommend a stay to anyone

Room was great and just a few blocks walk to all downtown restaurants and shopping. One thing to note is that the free parking is street parking, and it’s free after 4 pm but not during the day. I had no trouble finding parking on the street.

Great property in a quiet street and nearby to everything.

We had a wonderful time at Maand Up. Our room was very well designed. The staff were very lovely. It was nice to be able to cool off in the pool. For the price, we would have liked complimentary breakfast or access to kitchen facilities either in our room or a shared one.

Stayed for one night after arriving from Perth airport on way to Margaret River in hire car. Found place easily and managed to park car ok (we were on Saturday night and Sunday when parking is free so not an issue - if at other times then may need to try and park on verge outside venue which is no guarantee. No check in per se - you get a message with code to enter your room which means it is very accessible if you are arriving at odd hours from the airport. Had everything we needed and was a short walk from the harbour and town centre. Would stay there again.

this place was absolutely lovely! close to everything in beautiful freo. however, the toilet was filthy and the other guests hogged the pool the whole time and were extremely loud. :( we stayed 2 nights and were not expecting our room to be cleaned. while we were during the day the cleaners threw out what they assumed was rubbish, but items we wanted to keep :(

The only negative is there is no parking when it states there is.

We had a very enjoyable overnight stay in Maand Up. The room was spacious and had a nice kitchenette which would have been great for a longer stay.

The access codes worked perfectly but there were no outside lights on near the room when I returned at 10.30pm. There were outside lights that I saw in the morning but they were not on, luckily I had my phone flashlight. Comfortable, warm, great spot.

Spacious and well appointed. We have stayed next door at Arundels and found this offering superior in as much as the bathroom was more spacious and the general living area did not seem as cramped.

Very nice stay. Clean and very close to main street. Steps on deck can be hazardous at night if no lights.

Suitable for an overnight stay

This is a great little place to stay. Although in the heart of Fremantle its quite, lovely room, exceptional bathroom with separate toilet, double sinks. Perfect for walking about Fremantle. Would highly recommend

Nice and clean

This place was a real find. Walking distance from the centre now and bathers Beach now. Need the bed was incredibly comfortable and the real surprise was the big bathroom, double basins no, stand up shower and separate change area. I appreciated the tea and milk in the mini fridge the pool is great too, mindful, though I needed earplugs at night being a light sleeper. There is the constant hum of the pool filter white noise. Not this place is a fantastic alternative to a five star hotel now. Overall a perfect room for me.

The apartment was very clean, tidy and comfortable. Area quiet as a mouse. On street parking was a bit of a bind finding a space, but one always turned up eventually. Would definitely stay again.

Great location so close to everything but no street noise.Room was very nice. Breakfast health and enjoyable. Never got to go in the pool maybe next time. Parking was interesting I would enquire before I booked what is the parking arrangment. I would stay there again.

Loved the outside shower, big bed. Loved the breakfast. Check in was complicated as lock on door needed repair. Neighbours were noisy.

A nice few days in Freo

Great location, big lovely king bed, quiet despite being near so much. No foxtel, just standard free-to-air channels. Liked it and would stay again.

Very easy access and large clean room with big shower and bathroom area. Extremely comfortable bed and reverse cycle air conditioning keeping it warm and cosy. Limited office hours.

King bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was delicious too.

Its a nice location slightly outside the main street of Fremantle. But, herein are the problems I find :- 1) Seriously attacked by bedbugs.. 2) Towels not changed at all for all 5 days. They just simply hang back 3) Noise disturbance from a non hotel resident in the morning hours 4) Some noisy furniture moving sounds late at night. 5) Bad parking availability even though the website says free but limited parking. 6) Breakfast????? gosh.... need to relook into that clause....

Great stay! Loved the complimentary breakfast which got replenished each day :) Only problem I had was the room wifi but I was able to connect to another room’s wifi :P oh & my first morning I struggled to get the hot water going for my shower then I eventually did then it went cold again so ended up having to have a cold shower. Didn’t have this problem the next 2 mornings thankfully. Would definitely stay here again if I was in the area :)
