Friendly staff and beautiful views

Nothing special about this property as it is mainly suitable for large tours groups. The only good thing is the view to the sea if you pay extra to have a room like this. Sauna has to be booked to be used , we arrived at 6pm and could not use it, as it also closes at 8pm.

Three stars hotel maximum! Rooms are outdated, carpet is dirty, no bathrobes, breakfast is tasteless. Hotel's beach is useless and you must go to the city beach which is good. Sea view is only one advantage of this hotel.

I stayed 1 night with my daughter at this hotel and it was absolutely amazing! I wish we had booked for more days. The staff were all very friendly, the hotel was clean & luxurious, the amenities (pool, spa, private beach) were perfect for making the most of our vacation! We will be back!

Good service from friendly staff

The staff were so very helpful especially Vassilis. The rooms were terrific & as soon as we had a problem we were moved. The spa was great too. Just a pity the pool was not open before we left.

Facility was excellent, location very good. Only negative many of the serving staff, restaurant & bar, were inattentive provided poor service, took for ever to get a coffee refill or to place a drink order at the bar.

Spacious hotel with pool, convenient for Kavala

Comfortable room, excellent staff service, good breakfast choice, spacious pool and plenty of sun loungers. Only criticism is that pool, is open from 10am - 6pm only. Given that breakfast is 7am-10am we would have preferred for the pool to be accessible from 9am. The limited pool time is probably because the pool has a lifeguard on duty.

Staff are very friendly and the room was clean and large

Beautiful clean room with a balcony and ocean views. The bed and bedding , pillows and sheets, were comforting. I would have liked it if there was a small bar fridge and glasses.

If you are from the USA - this says 5 stars but it is not. It’s still one of the nicest hotels in Kavala - but it’s more like 3 stars. The breakfast is wonderful - but the spa is closed Sunday, Monday and the pool is closed. Service sucks and the beds are typical Greek cement blocks.

Good for overnight stay

Stayed one night on route to Romania, so good place for bridge crossing the Danube. Had a room on the 10th which took a long time to get hot water for shower but a good view. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom could have done with a bit of attaention on the tiling front. Only the garden restaurant was open which was a shame. We did visit the Panorama Restaurant at the top but had a private function going on. They were good enough to to let us Brits in for a quick look from the terrace. 👍

Splendid Hotel

Excellent hotel, wonderful staff and service, fantastic location and supremely comfortable room. The reception was warm and welcoming. Our room was large and with a view of the water was impeccably clean with awesome mattress and pillows. The bathroom was stocked with all the toiletries a guest could possibly need. The breakfast was fantastic and featured many choices to satisfy every appetite. The price for the room was very reasonable considering the location, the service and comfort. The service by the entire team was very friendly and professional. The hotel and all its perimeter were crispy clean. Great attention to details. I highly recommend this hotel for an enjoyable stay. I hope my travels take me back to Kavala so I could stay at this fabulous hotel longer.

Welcome to Kavala

Away from the center of town, on a quiet street. A 20 minute walk to town. Clean and modern rooms. As is typical of Greece, wish I could have brought my mattress with me. Staff was friendly, balcony view of the sea. Cute beach downstairs, which is not typical of Kahala hotels. Parking a plus. Breakfast which was included had a good selections. On the expensive end when I compare to some of the other hotels we stayed at. You feel the pinch when you travel with older children, because the rooms only fit 2 people.

A true 5 star hotel

Wonderful hotel with great staff, a true 5 star hotel. Rooms were clean and quiet, splendid sea and town view, excelent breakfast and pool. Thank you again for your hospitality, probably the best place to stay in Kavala.

A nice stay!

We only stayd overnight on our way to Athens. Staff was very welcoming, rooms nice, restaurant opened a little late, but had good food and service. Nice pool and beaches. Will stay longer next time!

Great view and nice hotel with a good restaurant

The hotel restaurant is very good, We tried one restaurant in the neighborhood and that was fairly poor. The fish was cooked in old oil that gave us indigestion. After that experience we stuck to the food in the hotel. The sea view from the room was spectacular, a good thing because the weather was terrible. On the second day it started raining and the temperature dropped to about 5'C.

Three star

This is not a five star facility Three maybe. OK to sleep in. But thats it.

The hotel is definetly not a 5 stars hotel. Maybe it had started as a 5*. Today the condition of the hotel hardly stand for 3*.We understand that hotel.com is not a supervisor or can not control grading hotels but hotel.com has some responsibility for the credibility and the genuine of the site promotions and recommendations.

Comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and sea view. Just get some wine and enjoy the view from the balcony.

our 3 days at Kavala and staying at the Lucy hotel were great , the beach next to the hotel is excellent and very suitable for children , a nice fish restaurant 200yds along the beach. hotel itself was great for location and what we needed and only a 20min walk to the full city centre . we will back for sure

Below 5 stars

Comfortable rooms but not a 5 star hotel quality. Even not a complimentary bottle of water to make coffee or tea. There's no doorman or bellboy to carry your luggages, a shame for a 5 star! Will not come back!

Stay on the same floor with the group

We're on the same floor with the student delegation from Thessaloniki. Although we told the reception the students could not sleep at night because of the escape knock knock on our door after 23:00 skin. We expect to receive a floor group without us when we complained at the reception. That night, they also got to our complaint was a distinct shortage in leaving the hotel. We glad we stayed in this hotel 4 years ago, but it was the worst they can not solve this case.

Perfect hotel and perfect view

The hotel is around 5-10 minutes drive to the city center. It is located in a very beautiful beach and it also has the view of the old city. It is a very comfortable and clean hotel. We have chosen a superior room with sea view. We had a private balcony. I think I've had the best sleep of this year. You open the huge window to the balcony and sleep with the relaxing sound of the waves. Our room was spacious. The dining room has a superb view and the breakfast was with good variety. And the staff is very positive and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel for any type of stay and looking forward to come again.

Paid to upgrade to a suite which was very basic and room smelt of stale cigarette smoke. Poor air conditioning and carpet not very clean. Have stayed in better budget hotels. Word not liked to have seen a standard room

Nice hotel... But Not a 5 star hotel ...

Experience was ok. The hotel has an amazing view, good location.. And a great pool. In general we had a great time, but we're disappointed by some details you woudn't expect in a hotel of this cathegory somewhere else. definitely not a 5 star hotel... If you are used to US standards. We had a sea view room, view was ok, small balcony but comfortable. The carpet in the room was super dirty, with big spots on the floor, kind of disgusting. Bathroom was probably the best of the room... Very modern, and beautiful. I wish staff was more kind and helpful. Reception is very disorganized, the concept of a line doesn't exist in Greece.. They are on the phone and make you wait long to talk to you.

Comfortable modern hotel with nice pool & sea view

This is a modern hotel with all the comforts that one wants when traveling--clean, spacious rooms, view of the sea, good and ample breakfast, and a very nice pool area. I wanted a hotel with a shady, quiet area to relax in at the end of the day and the pool area delivered. There is a large beach next door, and many patrons of the hotel would spend part of the day at the beach and part of the day at the hotel pool. There is a large grocery store only steps away. The hotel is located about 3 km from the heart of the downtown area which makes it on the edge of walking distance if you want to meet people in that area or if you want to check out some of the restaurants there.

Single woman staying

I felt a bit conspicuous as a woman travelling alone, but that's the same in any hotel really - I'm sure ladies know what I mean. I didn't venture into the restaurant proper in the evening, it just didn't seem very welcoming for a single person. The bar food was quite adequate though, thank goodness and the staff attentive with a lovely view of the bay. Hotel Lucy was very good and the staff spoke English well, which certainly made things easier. I chose Lucy because of the pool but then it was so cold and rainy I couldn't use it! Not their fault of course, but I could have kicked myself! My only gripe was that the air-con in my room (2nd floor, overlooked car park) wouldn't turn off or switch to heat and I was freezing. If booking Lucy, remember that its 2 km out of town and you'll need a taxi to town. Also! Visit Philippi! Bus from Kavala town, €1.60. Fabulous!

Great experience!

Visited the hotel during winter, definitely more of a summer spot given the outdoor pool and Kavala's pristine beaches. Staff was lovely and very helpful. Food was great, and the rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. Great hotel!

With a car at one's disposal, the hotel is perfect. Otherwise, it is somewhat far for a walk to the city centre and main landmarks.

Could have been good

Near the sea and good views, however bed and pillows were terrible. Carpets and curtains were stained and dirty as were all surfaces in the room. Shower was good. Breakfast was the best thing. Would not stay again and have no idea where 5 stars came from.

In Kavala for a wedding!

We really liked the Lucy Hotel after just staying there this past weekend fir a wedding for three nights. They let us check in at 8am on our day of arrival at no additional charge given that our flight from Athens arrived extremely early. We spent a lot of time by their huge pool and enjoyed food and drink from their pool bar and restaurant. The rooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was decent with lots of selection. We were upgraded to a sea view room at no charge when we booked a city view. There is a grocery store across the street which is convenient for buying water, snacks, etc. Also taxis in Kavala are very cheap, like 5 Euros or less anywhere in the town so it's easy to get around from this hotel.

the worst (called) 5* hotel ever!

we booked a junior suite, which was 40% more expensive than the next top rated room and found ourselves in a huge empty standard double room... surprise... there were almost no furniture in the room!!! one chair and one small table, in a literally huge room, leaving us space to dance in it!!! there was not even a place to leave our luggage!!! two balconies and only one had furniture... the other was decorative!!! called the reception to get some room service, their first reaction was that we could order anything from the menu, their second one was a choice between two kinds of sandwitches!!! drinks at an empty bar for 10 euros a glass!!!! coffee to wish you had never tried it!!! their banquet organisation of a wedding I attended was so bad that I really don't know where to beginn from!!! the food was not even meant for rats!!! the service was so mediocre that could not cover for anything!!! rubbish!!!

Good hotel pity about the towels.

Breakfast for a 5 star hotel was poor. You had to ask frequently for more coffee.The selection of fruit could be much better.The room and the location of the hotel is excellent.The one real gripe was to take a towel out of the hotel to go to another beach other than theirs, was a real hassle as it was refused on each occasion and had to be sanctioned by a manager, even though I offered to leave a deposit..Each time they told me it would be the last occasion that it would be allowed.Surely not the actions of a good hotel.I will not go to the expense of buying a towel if I wish to go on the beach otside the hotel.Other than that I think the hotel represents good value for money and is very centrally located.

Geat setting, large, very clean, modern room with double balcony. View across bay towards town and castle on hill, look in the other direcction, a full view of Thassos. Full buffet breakfast included. The staff was friendly and helpful. Easy access from town via the bus, no need for a cab.

Otel konumu itibariyle oldukça iyi konum da, otopark sorun yoktu. Oda temiz ve eksik birşey de yoktu.kahvaltı da eviniz de olan herşey bulunmaktadır. Otel in önünde ki deniz taşlık/kayalık girmem biraz zor. Otel in sağında kumsal var. Kumsal ve deniz oldukça temiz görünüyordu.

Schlechter Service, unfreundlich, alt und abgewohnt, kaputte Möbel überall. Sauberkeit im Außenbreich lässt arg zu wünschen übrig, GYM uund Spa sind ein Witz und ohne Termin nicht zu besuchen. Teure Bar. Frühstück gut aber Kaffee gibt es erst nach mehrmaligem nachfragen oder gar nicht.. niemals 5 Sterne, höchstens 3

Oda iyi değildi. 5 star bir otel için oldukça vasat bir durum söz konusuydu. Asansör çok tehlikeli çünkü inerken veya binerken biraz uzun sürünce inatla kapanmaya çalışıyordu. Sıkışma riski var. Çocuk için ilave yatak yerdeydi neredeyse. 5star için iyi bir durum değil. Hotels.com’un verdiği konum arka kapıya götürdü. Dar bir sokağa soktu bizi. Odada wifi bilgisi yoktu. Resepsiyonu aramak istedim ama telefon numarasnıı gösteren bir belge yoktu.

Lucy otelden çok memnun kaldık kötü yorum yapanları anlamak mümkün değil. Havuzu kahvaltısı çok güzeldi. 2 çocukla konakladik 2 tane yatak koymuşlar odaya. Oda gayet genişti. biz aldığımızda tek oda kalmıştı oda kara manzaraliydi şansımıza gittigimizde deniz manzarali taraf verildi ve manzara mukemmeldi. Klima süper çalışıyordu. Personel oldukça kibardı. Resepsiyon görevlisi bizimle Türkçe konuştu cok mutlu olduk. Misafirlerin çoğu Türk zaten. Havuz başında yemek servisi var. Hamburgeri ve patatesi çok güzeldi. Teşekkürler lucy otel.

İkinci kez tercih ettğimiz otel, yemekleri güzel, odaları temiz ve hizmet servisi iyiydi. Güler yüzlü çalışanlar her konuda yardımcı oldular. Kavalaya gittiğimizde her zaman tercih edeceğimiz otel.

Καλο αλλα....

Γενικα η διαμονη ηταν καλη αλλα... την τριτη μερα παθαμε τροφικη δηλητηριαση οσοι φαγαμε ενα συγκεκριμενο πιατο με ταλιατελες με κοτοπουλο και ασπρη σαλτσα τυριων. Οπως καταλαβαινετε εμετο και διαρροια στις διακοπες δεν ειναι ιδανικο ιδιως οταν πας σε 5* ξενοδοχειο. Κατι που θα πρεπει να προσεξουν πολυ. Επισης το ενα δωματιο απο τα δυο που ειχαμε δεν ειχε μπαλκονι αλλα ουτε και τροπο να στεγνωσεις τα μαγιο. Το παραθυρο που ειχε δεν ανοιγε και στο ντουζ δεν υπηρχε τιποτα ωστε να απλωσεις κατι για να στεγωσει. Αυτα τα 2 με εμφαση στο πρωτο ηταν τα αρνητικα. Τα αλλα ολα ηταν καλα.

Otelin manzarası, odanın ferahlığı ve büyüklüğü çok güzel. Genel temizlik fena değil. Odada yatağa tırmanmaya çalışan değişik bir tırtıl vardı. Banyo ve havlular temizdi. Kahvaltısı oldukça iyi. Otel şehir merkezine biraz uzak olduğu için araç şart. Karşılamada duran bayan çok güleryüzlü değildi. Otelden çıkış yaparken ki görevli çok güleryüzlüydü. Aracımız elektrikli ancak otelde 1 tane şarj istasyonu var. Bir araç akşam 7 de bağlamış ve sabah 10 da hala aracını almamıştı. Otel araç plakalarını almadığı için kime ait olduğunu bilmiyordu. Bu dezavantaj. Ancak otele yürüme mesafesinde başka şarj istasyonları mevcut.

Hôtel correct pour un court séjour

Hôtel classique un peu éloigné du centre de Kavala avec 2 plages de part et d'autre de l'hôtel. Accueil basique. Chambre tres grande face à la mer avec une très belle salle de bain. Petit dejeuner buffet avec beaucoup de choix. Hôtel correct sans charme particulier.

Poolanlage sehr gepflegt und ansprechend. Hotelanlage insgesamt sehr ordentlich und sauber. Duschkopf und -Halterung im Bad reparaturbedürftig.

Tolles Hotel

Ein sehr schönes Hotel in ruhiger Lage. Gut geführtes Haus in privater Hand, mit immer freundlichem Service. Die meisten Mitarbeiter arbeiten dort seit vielen Jahren, Hotelstrand 1 Minute vom Hotel entfernt. Schöne gut geschnittene Zimmer mit ausreichendem Platz.
