We stayed for a night and the Motel is well located in a nice area near Hagley Oval and gardens. The room was clean with good amenities. Service was very friendly and helpful.

Very nice staff, friendly and helpful. The only negative - the room and bathroom were very cold when we arrived, all heating was off, incl heated towel rail. The bathroom was very clean but had an unusual smell - possibly from the spa bath. Overall a good stay. Thank you.

Good value for money

Used to stay here when i worked for Barkers of Geraldine. Nice place and convenient. My husband wasn't well and called an ambulance - not too far to the hospital. Cafes near by. Great location.

Exceptionally clean.

This property is in an ideal location within walking distance (About 20 minutes)of the CBD. It didn't have an oven, but it was well equipped otherwise and is the first motel we have ever stayed at with 3 TV's with Sky! The living area is very comfortable with a lovely patio with a fence with camelias growing against it. It also has a nice spa bath. The only minus was that the tap in the bathroom basin was very stiff and the other taps were very loose! The fridge had too many cans and bottles which had to be taken out to fit our own food. Over all though, a great place to stay.

Great value, well presented and central.

Parking is very difficult to get near Christchurch Public Hospital. The motel carparking was free and only 20 minutes from the hospital through the very lovely Hagley Park. The motel owner allowed me to check in early and park my car. This was such a relief to me because I was visiting a sick relative and was under time pressure for a scheduled meeting.

The Motel is conveniently located to amenities and offers excellent accommodation. Our room had a spa bath.

We were visiting our son and Lorenzo Lodge was a perfect location. Easy parking and comfy bed. Riccarton was a good area. Highly recommend The Park Ranger for breakfast just down the road.

Good location: walking distance to restaurants, botanic gardens, Canterbury Museum and city centre. Attractive room, nice colors, friendly staff, laundry. Parking good.

Great location handy to lots of shopping. Nice big car park. Very well appointed one bedroom unit. Huge bathroom with great water pressure and plenty of shelves to store toiletries . We had a lovely stay and really appreciated the nice warm room on our return each day. Always a huge smile from the staff too !

Comfortable, conveniently located motel

Friendly staff, clean room with all the requirements including a small outside seating area. Bed was comfortable, good sheets and an electric blanket which was nice on the chilly evening. Heat pump in lounge and bathroom. Good location near to the park and close to lots of restaurants.

Have stayed at this motel previously. On this trip we stayed at the Lorenzo at the beginning and end of trip with time in other cities in between. Rooms comfortable and clean. Unit 1 at ground level had an extra bed in the living area which detracted from the utilization of the space. Unit 7 on the upper level did not have an extra bed and was a lot more appealing. There was some minor train noise at night. Staff were very accomodating.

The location of this motel is great. Handy for the city, eateries, and routes out of the city. Everything we needed was here and it was a very comfortable experience.

A Good Choice

We were only staying one night as we had booked a flight to Wellington the following morning. The room was more like a small apartment with a living room, bedroom and large bathroom.

Best Motel I've Come Across in Christchurch

This has got to be the best experience we've had in Christchurch. Location is fantastic, being close enough to Westfield Riccarton and surrounded by many eateries. Check in was a breeze. Travelled with 3 kids in tow. Had a lovely ground floor corner 2 bedroom unit which was convenient for offloading luggage and was superbly kept. Kudos! Unit was spotless, kitchen was amazing for cooking, all utensils and cutlery were provided. Great Wifi. Spotlessly huge bathroom with nice amenities and towels. Beds were comfortable and place was just really nice for our 2 night stay, wish it were longer Resident manager and staff went out of their way to accede any requests and are so efficient and friendly. Thanks for having made it a memorable stay for us. No doubt about us staying with Lorenzo if we are back in Christchurch.

Handy inner city location

Clean, comfortable room with good kitchenette facilities and, nice bathroom and a courtyard.

This is a very comfortable and nice place to stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. After a long flight, it was relaxing to have the Lorenzo as a place to get us started on our New Zealand adventure.

Comfortable motel in excellent location

The location of the motel could not be better!! Riccarton mall a short walk down the road and coffee/ sushi/ bsr just across the road. I recommend Eagle brewing if you enjoy beer (just across the road next to the Volstead bar-another great place). The motel itself was spacious and comfortable with an excellent supply of tea/ coffee/ shampoo etc. It was an easy and pleasant stay.

Here for one night. Met by friendly helpful staff which was great. Room was clean and nice and what was advertised. Good spa bath and shower. Clean and tidy and great location. Would stay again.

Really lovely staff. Arrived on cold wet evening to room already warmed for us. Exceptionally clean and well appointed.

Lovely warm unit

It was nice to get back at night - curtains drawn & heating on. Very helpful owner. Only nark was the hot water ran out 1/2 way through 2nd shower...., but overall we had a great stay, & would go back, central to a lot of things.

Great place to stay!

Stayed here for a week in the 2 bedroom unit. Awesome staff! So helpful and friendly. Beds were comfortable and the unit was always really warm. Perfect for 0 degrees outside! I will definitely be staying here again when I return!

Great motel

We stayed at this motel for 2 nights. It was in a busy but great location. The road noise did not effect us at all. Good cafes etc close by. The two staff members we met were friendly and professional and very helpful.

Well located motel.

The hotel is well located near the Hagley Park and town center. There are a couple of good restaurants in the neigborhood and a very good cafe across the street. The motel is a bit dated in furnishings but very clean and quiet. There are 2 floors (with only 12 suites/studios). The only downside is that there is no elevator.

Clean, well maintained, but dated hotel

This hotel is pretty dated. It needs to be freshened up. That being said, the staff is great, rooms are very clean and well maintained.

Handy to Riccarton Mall

Only stayed one night, but was very handy to the business meetings I had near the mall.

Closed to wonderful park

We stayed 9 days, staff very friendly and helpful and knowledge of. Area, and activities of area. Room was clean and was cleaned every day with clean towels . We really enjoyed our stay, and recommend it highly.

Good location - pleasant walk through park to town centre, or walk along the road the other way to a shopping mall. Lovely friendly, helpful staff. We were given an upgrade to a 2 bedroom (booked for 3 people) and it was lovely! Own little veranda as well as a decent lounge area and 2 good bedrooms. The bathroom was huge and the shower was very good. Didn't try the enormous spa bath! Would definitely stay here again if I was back in Christchurch 👍🏻

Quick visit to Christchurch

We arrived late from the train from Greymouth to Christchurch, and we took a taxi to the Lorenzo Motor Inn. While it is not in the heart of the city, it is very close to a bus stop, for a bus that goes to the center of the city at frequent intervals. The staff at the hotel was very helpful in getting us checked in, and in giving us good recommendations for nearby restaurants. We also thought the rate was reasonable.

Christchurch Comfort

The Lorenzo was perfect for our needs. It was walking distance to the city centre and there were lots of restaurants and cafes within a couple of minutes walking. The accommodation was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would love to stay at the Lorenzo again next time I am visiting Christchurch.

Great location

The motel was in a great location with local amenities just on the doorstep. Harley park in close proximity and a lovely stroll through the park takes you into the centre of Christchurch. Highly recommended.

Great stopover hotel

We stayed at Lorenzo in the 2 bedroom apt for one night at the beginning of our NZ stay and at the end, so we didn't spend much time there. But it absolutely meet our needs. Was a very nice motel, with a nice layout (although a bit small but fine for short time). Had a kitchenette and quite large bathroom for size of unit and great shower water pressure. Bedrooms adequate size. Staff very nice and helpful, providing a Christchurch map and answering our questions. The train track is rather close and you can hear it at night, but it didn't keep me awake.

Nice centrally located hotel

We stayed there overnight prior to taking the Trans Alpine train trip to Greymouth the next day. The location was a great plus as it is within walking distance (1.2km, about 20 minutes relaxing walk for the family) with hand luggage and one light wheeled suitcase. It was also within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and Riccarton mall. Everything about this place was great, including the free wifi. The only exception was the bed linen which I found a bit hard and hot on my skin making me difficult to sleep. But to be fair I do have sensitive skin and would prefer softer fabric, so not everyone would have this issue at all. I believe the others in my family group slept alright that night.

Great room (1 bed apt) with very helpful manager. Located a couple hundred metres west of Hagley Park, on busy main road with lots of restaurants, shops, etc in walking distance. Clean, friendly, spacious, convenient. I'd stay again without hesitation.

Christchurch motel

Our room was functional. They have managed to squeeze a combination bedroom, living area and kitchenette all in one small room. The bed was hard but everything was clean. There are lots of good restaurants within walking distance and the location is easy to get to if you have a car. The wifi works.

Travelling with my wife and two grown kids we stayed @ Lorenzo. A great choice! Friendly staff, clean and functional units in a perfect location to walk into town and to the train station. Only downside, if at all, could be the busy road in front. This road however makes traveling to and from very easy... Definitely recommending this place, best Motel I ever stayed in!

Fantastic service, we arrived after hours, there was a note explaining where the key was, heaters were on, lights on,milk on the fridge and a hand written note welcoming us to Lorenzo Motor Lodge. Felt very welcome.

Good location

Close to lots of restaurants and walking distance to Westfield and through park to town. Sadly Christchurch is a city mostly in demolition and construction and I think will be so for a while. Riccarton area of town was great Trevino resturant right near railway line ( u do hear the odd train but their isn't many) and next door Dux dine was also good. Plenty of takeaway close by.This motel is clean and has everything u would need.
