Average - cheap price and good location (shops and cafes by Bayswater are good). Clean room. I was kept awake into the early hours by doors banging on the corridor and creaky floorboards in the room above. Could hear voices from the room above very clearly. Breakfast very cheap- advertised as continental breakfast but the only cereal choice was cornflakes and only toast -no pastries- included.
Great Value for Money
My mum and I really enjoyed staying here. You don’t feel like you’ve overpaid, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room was in a separate building to the main reception which did mean a quick walk to breakfast but given that breakfast was included, can’t complain too much! Overall, a great stay!
The receptionist is not accommodating enough. Asked us twice to go back and forth to the main building as the key card is not activated. To have a good breakfast, you have to pay as the free breakfast has a very limited option.
Close to metro, restuarants and clean and peacfull area. I didn't like was to much stairs and poor internet connection
I have stayed at Lords a number of times, always quiet and friendly hotel: recommended
.
Hotel tradicional
Espacio de la ducha muy pequeña, no instrucciones para la calefaccion, sabanas limpias. Area tranquila y residencial cerca. No elevador, escaleras incomodas.
The young Asian lady at check-in she is very helpful, polite and professional.
Not a hotel ! Just a room no service & over priced don’t go !
Very clean and tidy with a comfortable bed. Friendly staff and efficient.
Family of 5 from North Yorkshire . Room was very sufficient for our needs basically just to sleep in was out exploring. Breakfast was good purchased 3 full Englishes at £8 each was really good value. The free continental breakfast was also good as me and mrs didn’t want full English. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Felt really safe in the area as we got back late both nights. You have most shops within an 5 min walk tescos McD’s Starbucks etc. tube station is same 5 min walk. All in all very happy with our stay and will be using again when we visit London.
Beds were uncomfatable and very noisy through the night
Thank you
Not a nice place to stay at all.
I was really disappointed with the stay here, it is no more than a backpackers hostel, the stairs are very narrow and dangerous, the coffee/tea machine was always out of order with the bin beside consistently overflowing with rubbish. The staff don't know how to smile, perhaps they're not paid well enough. Overall I wouldn't recommend.
Beds are quite uncomfortable and rooms are tight. The building also had a plumbing issue that forced us to switch rooms, though we were upgraded due to the inconvenience. So no real foul there. Great location. Quiet. Safe. A good home base if you’re looking to spend the bulk of your time exploring.
The breakfast experience was disappointing and ideally should come with a detailed menu outlining the offerings. Additionally, it would be beneficial for the accommodation to be conveniently located near the station, allowing for effortless exploration of the surrounding area. Furthermore, the shower facilities were inadequately small.
Basic room clean nicely decorated good value for price paid.
The hotel staff were polite but never smiled, except for one person at the reception. The hotel seemed to prioritize making money. There was no safe box in the room, and guests had to pay to use the safe box near the reception. Towels were only changed every 4 days, and there was an additional fee if you wanted them changed earlier. The sheets were not changed during our one week of stay. Breakfast only included 4 complimentary items. The fruits and eggs provided were very small, and the portion of orange juice was hardly 50 ml.
The room and bathroom was very small but the place was in a convenient location close to all the places I wanted to go to. The breakfast was okay. But I would stay there again.
For the money this was fine. Check in was fast room was small and very basic painted wood chip on the walls and utilitarian furniture. Shower was excellent and bed was comfy. No ac but the window opened wide. Included free breakfast was basic but also fine. Good value for money for location.
Great Stay
It was a great place to stay and very reasonably priced. Customer service was great, the shower broke and i reported it in the morning and it was fixed before we returned in the afternoon. It was clean and the breakfast was great. There was alot of stairs to climb to get to our room but it was ok... not a great place to stay if you ave mobility issues though. All in all its basic but i would definitely stay again price was great for what you got.
wonderful night with family in london
i traveled with my family and had a layover in london for one night. Hotel was suprisigly great! the front dest is in one buliding and our room was in another one, 200 meters away we feel like they just build the room before we entered it. everything was brand new! no a-c, so take that into consideration breakfast was minimun, so you pay a bit more and upgrade and is fine location great, 6 minute walk from the tube plenty of small supermarkets and shops and resturants near by All and all wonderful! but very and super basic! If that's all you need, super!
For a hotel within walking distance of Kensington Palace and Hyde Park, this is a very reasonably priced hotel. A continental breakfast is included and rooms are comfortable.
Handy and good location.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was a good size and had everything we needed ( just a shame there was no air conditioning). Good location for several restaurants bars and plenty of shops. Underground station a short walk. Overall good.
Good value family accommodation
Easy to find and staff friendly and helpful. Stairs not easy with luggage we were on the third floor but room clean and adequate. overall it was ideal for our familly- three adults and two children.
Cheap frills.
You get what you pay for at the end of the day. Thought a breakfast was included but it didn’t state just continental . Paid extra £8 for English. The room was basic, not bad but no air con. As I said, no frills cheap stay .. not great but if it’s a cheap room your after then it’s not bad
Fine
Location was about 8-10 minutes from transit. Very convenient. Perfect size for a single traveller
Great little place to stay for the evening. Would totally recommend. Perhaps just needs a few updates but can’t complain for the price.
Not too happy about this hotel
The Lords hotel was pretty expensive so we were waiting for better accommodations. First of all our room was situated on a different building about 5 min walk l, with no receptionist. We had to carry the heavy luggages walking on the street and the wheel broke because of the uneven pavement. Every morning we had to walk to the other building for breakfast. Also the breakfast supposed to be included but it makes us pay extra if you wanted eggs, cappuccino or a croissant in addition, the room had no iron so we had to wear wrinkled clothes. I didn’t enjoy this hotel and I didn’t find it accommodating for the price we paid. In the neighborhood there were better places that were cheaper. If I only knew…
Basic hotel, good for one night stay. Very reasonable price property for London Short walk from underground station Breakfast included Nice shopping street short distance away Easy to get to - very compact room - very warm even with window open - no fan - could do with an update - towels provided on small size - lots of external noise at night
The Hotel was good and clean . Good location but One of the Lady for serving breakfast was not very friendly as when I asked her 2 more fresh orange juices she did not give us .. the class was very small that’s why we asked her to serve us one more but she said not
Perfect for what we were looking for and friendly, polite staff.
It was clean but the mattress on the double bed was very uncomfortable.
Great location and affordable
Good but it really needs a lift
The location of the hotel is great, really central in London. The bed is fine, bathroom fine but they really need to fit a lift. I was in the 4th floor and after climbing 75 steeped stairs it seemed I already paid for my sins. One floor is acceptable, 2 of those floors are ok and 3 it's too much, 4 floors without a lift is a nightmare. If i had to stay more than one night in the 4th floor i would of cancelled my stay, the fan extractor of the bathroom needs a deep cleaning it was really dusty. On the bright side the booking included continental breakfast and the hotel is really near the underground.
Good low cost option
Good value option. My single room was very small but adequate. Mattress could do with being replaced….I could feel the springs, and I would have appreciated a second pillow. Otherwise excellent location in quiet street. Continental breakfast is included in the price, and was very good. Cooked breakfast available at an extra (reasonable) price. Only 5 minutes walk to Underground and Kensington Gardens.
Pros: price, location, convenience of breakfast Cons: thin walls, low ceiling, uneven floor requiring me to but shims under some bed legs, tiny shower, low water pressure
It was one of a few properties that could accommodate my family of 3 adults 2 children and a baby at a reasonable cost ( although it wasn’t cheap) Very disappointed with breakfast. I realised it was continental but didn’t expect to have to pick 4 items which included drinks. Only cereal was cornflakes. Handy for Bayswater shops and underground
Good place to stay
It was good. Not a fan of carrying luggage along 4 flights of stairs, but it was worth it for the nice room and the quietness of the area as well. Perfect. Had a great time.
Good value hotel.
I was surprised that the part of the hotel we stayed in was in another road and did not have a reception there. As a single traveller i would not have been happy to stay in a separate building. The room was clean but did not have tea making facilities. Overall good value for money.
June 24 Stay at Lords
Our stay at Lords Hotel was ok although the room was in need of decoration and the beds and pillows were so hard. However if you like a firm bed and pillows that's fine. Didn't find the staff very helpful. We ordered apple juice for breakfast and got 2 apples. A little disappointing.
Perfect for a short stay
Great neighborhood. Nice staff and quiet accommodations for being in London!! Many transportation possibilities (bus, train) all within walking distance. Also, a couple of minutes walk to dining options and grocery.
A little bit convenient and close to all amenities. And local transport. But room is not really suitable
Room was quite small, inadequate luggage storage, closet
The room itself was nice and clean but it would have been nice to have a kettle in the room. We stayed in the other building so couldn’t even go downstairs to grab a cup of tea.
Xxxxxxx
not amazing!
the staff were very kind and helpful, the only thing that drags my score down is that there was a silverfish on my bed and as someone scared of bugs i was very uncomfy sleeping from that point on
For me the location is the biggest pro for this place. It is close to transportation and close to a lot of sights. The hotel itself is dated. Room was clean enough. There was a family with younger children above us and we could hear everything (kids running, talking, even their alarm in the morning) uf your a light sleeper this could be tough. There are no lifts. We pack light so this wasn’t a huge deal for us but if you had some bags bigger then carry on it could be quite the workout. Breakfast was okay.
Very clean
Excellent wi-fi, minimalist design
I appreciated the strong, password-protected wi-fi connection (it worked at least in my room and in the breakfast area) and to have breakfast included (four items allowed from among a limited range of choices, but quick service). The room was really small, it served its purpose for a short stay but it might become an issue during a longer stay, especially since there is no air conditioning and no protection from insects entering the room if the windows are opened. Overall, a very good choice from the perspective of London prices but with minimalist design and services (except the breakfast, which goes beyond the minimum).
Positives: Good value at £120 with my discount for 2 nights including breakfast. Free coffee machine a nice touch in the lounge. Small but clean shower barhroom. Negatives: Attitude of one of the breakfast staff, I arrived at 925am, 5 minutes before breakfast orders finish, she said we are closed now, I said surely not, it's not 930am yet Then she said ok. I think she expected me to turn around and leave. Hair in pony tail. Was pretty unfriendly the first morning as well. The breakfast staff, all behave llike they resent their job and the guests. Time to recruit some customer service professionals as they let the hotel down badly. Room was very narrow, couldnt open my suitcase without taking up the route to the bathroom. Room was a "Superior double." Reception staff say it's not their job to help guests get their luggage upstairs. There isnt a lift.
All good
Nice hotel, great location, nice neighborhood, walking distance to Bayswater station. Good selection of restaurants. Granier Bakery Cafe was outstanding! Charming hotel, lots of interesting books and crannies for kids to discover as well as adults. Da. E
Great location, walking distance to underground and Hyde Park. Reasonably priced
Was very basic no tea making facilities in room . Breakfast was not a continental at all.
Helpful staff and very well located.
Very quaint. Wonderful staff.
Budget b&b
Good location close to tube station modern bathroom no tea coffee or even vending machine Bed linen not that comfortable breakfast not much choice four items per individual
Big room, high ceilings, comfy bed. No kettle or tea/coffee making facilities
We expected bigger room.
Super friendly staff. Lots of food options nearby. If you don’t like stairs, there is no lift.
It was a great time! We are the family of 4. We stayed for 3 nights. We were just sleeping in our room and sightseeing for the rest of the day. The shower was very clean and hot. We had to walk to another building to breakfast which was great to fully wake up. Great place, greate location! Pizza Piligrims has delicious Italian pizza and is 8 minutes away.
Nice hotel
We really enjoy staying at this hotel Location big plus, very clean and friendly staff If we go back to London we would deffinaly stay at Lords hotel
An excellent place to stay.
An excellent hotel at an excellent price. Staff were friendly, room was spotless, and breakfast was good.
No elevator. We can hear footsteps from the floor above
Great location, very near to Portobello Road market, Hyde Park, yet quiet streets - really nice. Hotel staff very friendly. They have a separate 'annex' with rooms in which is a short walk away and four storeys high. Rooms clean, breakfast adequate - for the price, really good. ****
Disappointing
Didn’t realise the reception and breakfast area were in a different building to ourselves. The quadruple room was small for the four of us and the little patio door with a balcony we couldn’t get at as the bed was in the way. No kettle or iron. Asked for extra pillows as we only had one each and was told because we only had a standard room we were only obliged just to have that but they did give us ONE extra. We used the blankets that they supplied to put under our pillows which seemed to work! As the breakfast was only continental and not up to much and we had a five minute walk to get to the other hotel and then down steep stairs once inside it wasn’t worth it. I will not be staying here again.
The hotel is split over 2 buildings, this is a budget hotel so don't expect too much. The room was clean and on suite, the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was basic just some cereal and toast plus tea. The staff were friendly, the hotel has bars and restaurants nearby and is also close to the London underground, if you are visiting London this is a good hotel to stay
Excellent all around
Good location - friendly staff
Good value budget hotel - I was prepared for no kettle in room so took my own travel kettle room was fine but as we were in room 42 we only went up and downstairs once a day - quite narrow stairs you need to be fit. Have no complaints though couldn’t get tv to work but didn’t have energy to go downstairs in evening and then forgot in morning. Didn’t go to watch tv so no problem. Ideal location for our Wimbledon trip and nice to walk around Kensington gardens and the Serpentine in Hyde Park. Not far to Portobello Road either - shout at for the Castle pub on Portobello Road very nice small plates for lunch.
Hotel room was clean, but incredibly small, we stayed in the annex which we were not told about when booking which is a few roads away from the main hotel. The room was located on the top floor, 6 flights of stairs, and there was no lift. When arriving at breakfast there was nobody to greet us and no tables so we didn’t get to eat.
Value for money
Cheap & cheerful. No frills. Good location for Hyde Park. Would have liked tea making facilities in the room and a fan. Basic but pleasant. Friendly staff
Did not get the room that we had ordered. Staff did not accomodate to help us get the room with the beds that we ordered. Bathroom smelled like stale vomit, couldn’t be in there for more than five minutes at a time and had to keep the door closed so that the smell wouldn’t pollute the rest of the tiny dormitory room.
Reception were friendly. Room was very small. Clean but very tired. Bed was a single but very small and very uncomfortable. Room was very warm
Good location, friendly staff, bright and clean hotel and nice continental breakfast option
The area is very nice close to the subway, main roads with food, hop on hop off stop. The hotel is very nicely kept clean and fresh smelling, the breakfast is great and, the wifi is great. Negatives, no elevator and no a/c in the rooms only a fan plus the windows open just a tad so it is hot.
This is a good place to stay but just keep in mind there is no elevator!
Average
Not the best hotel if it is hot and or my was the room were very clean not really worth the money but was a London hotel
Disliked the very small room, had twin beds as we had asked , but limited area to get around. Very hot the days we were there, no way to get any cool air into the place. I realize no air conditioning in most hotels in London.
The people were specially nice, doing the extra, and with a smile. It is well situated and give easy access to London by subway. Overall, including a good price, it was excellent.
Great location and so easy to move around.
The staff from the breakfast didn’t look happy at any time.
Great budget find in a swanky part of town
Great little budget hotel, easy tube links and Hyde park access. Lots of local restaurants and pubs but very quite residential area at night. Would have liked tea and coffee, and glasses in room, but reception helped out when needed
Room was large and having a shower in room was nice.
Great location, many stars, comfortable amenities.
Not Hotel but Hostel.
We were surprised to find out there was no elevator. Gave us a room on the third floor and when we got there it was not the room we’d reserved. Had to go back down with luggage where they had to find a unit able room. Then had to go back up to another wing of the hotel third floor again. No service from the desk. I am an 80 year old and hauling the suitcase another three flights of stairs was not easy. Breakfast was desperate - ate one time there and then left for a restaurant. The room was clean. Location was convenient. Tv was so small we almost missed seeing it.
I wouldn't recommend the 9 sq m room, bed was smaller than a normal single bed, bathroom was too squishy with shower right next to toilet separated by a shower curtain, tv was tiny (~12") and there were no tea/coffee making facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Great wee place with an excellent complementary breakfast. Close to shops and bus routes, Notting Hill and Kensington Gardens just down the road. Lovely area. My only issue was with housekeeping - only changing towels every third day. Other than that, would definitely stay again.
There’s no elevator, staff is not accommodating. The stairs are not safe and we were placed on the top floor even though they knew that we had big luggages. Entered our room without our permission we didn’t even asked it to be cleaned. And on top of that, some e took our money!!!
Maybe not a 'superior' room after all
We had booked a 'superior' double room. I'm unsure what made it 'superior' though. The room was clean enough with a wardrobe, chest of drawers, TV. The en-suite shower room was good with clean towels, 2guest soaps and shower gel provided. The bed was uncomfortable and there was barely any space to move around the bed, about 6 inches both sides. We would have liked a glass/beaker to allow us to have a drink of water. The breakfast room was clean with multiple places to sit. We were greeted by smiling and efficient staff. For the 'continental' breakfast you could choose 4 items from a list eg juice, tea, cereal, toast or croissant. We knew it was 2 stars and compared to other hotels, the price was reasonable for our two night stay. Location was good. Near to Bayswater, Hyde Park, Notting Hill. I would stay there again.
Location close to Hyde Park. Shower room with shower gel and soap, and good water pressure. Bedroom needs upgrading - could feel springs from mattress on some sides. Breakfast really poor - you get to choose 4 items (including coffee which tastes disgusting) - I would recommend sticking to the fruit and yoghurt and grab drinks and anything else from elsewhere.
Lovely location, safe, clean and comfortable. Room was small, as pictured, and bathroom for a single room was tiny - about the size of an airplane bathroom, including toilet, sink and shower. Staff was kind and I felt safe the entire stay. It was not at all luxurious, but it worked for a few sleeps in the city. Good stay for a budget traveler.
Moderate stay.
We stayed overnight and the hotel fit purpose. We were disappointed to find out that this hotel has 2 other sister hotels further down the road to which we found ourselves in. The sleeping situation was fine although due to it being on a street there was the usual city sounds heard all times of the night. Due to the small size of the room you couldn’t actually sit the correct way on the toilet as there was not actually enough room to do so.
The hotel is okay just a two star budget hotel but the staff is rude and mean. We didn’t know the hotel does not have an elevator and our room was on the 4th floor. We asked if they had something on a lower floor and they rudely told no because we should have researched about the hotel before booking it( the website doesn’t say anything about amenities) The room didn’t have a phone and it took about 25 minutes to get hot water in the shower.
A very mediocre “superior”double room. I wouldn’t recommend it.
Lords
I have stayed in Lords a number of times: it feels like being part of a community! Always a quiet hotel to stay in with friendly, helpful staff

The electric was off in the area when I arrived so could not have hot shower but not hospitals fault.
