This property was superb in every way. The large bedroom/ sitting area, the well stocked kitchen. The complete cooking facilities, the wonderful large garden and places to sit in comfort. It was a peaceful, quiet sanctuary in the heart of the old city of Lecce and for an incredibly reasonable tariff. Impossible to give enough praise. The hosts were very helpful and serviced the rooms every day.
A beautiful palazzo a large well appointed room. Extremely comfortable and quiet and both hosts charming and attentive
Spacious room, lovely staff, delicious breakfast and stunning garden. Also, super location within the city.
Great place close to everything. Sort out your parking when booking. Limited parking at accommodation.
Convenient location in historic building. Easy walking distance to train station and historic centre of Lecce. Enjoyable shady garden. Delicious fresh brioches for breakfast.
Perfect!!!!
Perfect location, perfect room, perfect facility, perfect service and owners. We will return!
Great place to stay. Close to lecce historical and commercial centre. The owners are very helpful and allowed us to check in early. The garden is beautiful and a great place to relax. Although it's on a main road the rooms are at the back facing the garden so it's very quiet
Great location close to lecce old town. Place was very clean and quiet with access to a large walled garden. Luisa the owner was really helpful and easy to deal. Would definitely recommend if you like old world charm. If you're looking for modern it's definitely not the place for you
Perfect accommodation, good location.
We really enjoyed our three nights here. the building is beatutiful and the garden a peaceful place to relax. Room was huge and historic with everything we needed and a particularly comfortable bed. Location is good around 15 minutes walk from the station and close to all of our favourite restaurants. If you are feeling lazy the one over there road "203" is good and had an interesting menu. Overall as perfect a B&B experience as anyone could hope for.
Wonderful, friendly property
One of the most lovely rooms we have stayed in. Location is good, just outside the old city. The people are really wonderful, really cared about our comfort and wellbeing. Some might consider the bathroom a little tight.
We LOVED L’Orangerie de L’Epoque. It is beautiful. A real Palazzo. The high-ceiling rooms are full of elegant details: embroidered ultra-white towels and linens, amazing sunny views from the BEAUTIFUL inner courtyard a super yummy breakfast. But perhaps the best part is the warmth and friendliness of the owners & managers. Just one-of-a-kind accommodation that makes you feel both like a royal and a welcome family member.
On our trip to Italy, this was our favourite stay. It was close to the city Center (5-10 min walk) and feels quiet and private (with its own courtyard). There are great restaurants and cafes near by and the hosts provided us with fresh bakeries each morning. Then private courtyard was a great spot for brekkie. Can’t recommend this place enough.
Phenomenal stay
This was a phenomenal stay. The place is absolutely gorgeous, comfortable and clean. There is a small orange grove in the backyard, where our 5-y.o. son was safe to run and play by himself. Breakfast was great too. The place is cross the street from the city center of Lecce, also known as "the Florence of the South"—with good reason. Luisa has 4 rooms: we had the largest one, but she also has one (or two?) smaller ones that are equipped with a full kitchen (!); rooms can be connected for larger groups. We could park the car in their courtyard for the whole day for just 5 euros. I highly recommend this place.
Unique historical & characteristic property. Lovely owners. Would recommend.
5+ Stars
This guest house gets 5+ stars from me. On my fourth city of a long Italian holiday, staying in guest house type accommodations each time so far, my experience has been so-so. However, this location restored my faith. The property itself is beautiful, the historic nature of it adding to the experience of visiting this amazing city. The rooms are extremely clean, spacious, and well decorated. The complementary drinks, snacks, and morning pastries are icing on the cake. Also, the location is great, right next to the historic city center. Based on all of these reasons, and the price, this is without a doubt a 5-star experience. The + is in the level of customer service. Upon checkout I forgot my credit card in the office. I had walked to the train station and was sitting on the train, unaware I was about to leave my card behind. All of a sudden, Luisa, one of the owners, comes running through the train to hand me my card. The train pulled away about 30 seconds later. Thank you so, so much Luisa - my trip would have been really difficult if you hadn’t gone the extra mile (literally). I will definitely be telling friends to visit Lecce and to stay at L’Orangerie d’Epoque!
Very nice B&B at Old Lecce’s door
Great location, @ the doors of Old Lecce. L’Orangerie is a beautiful B&B, Anna e Luisa were very kind & helpful when anything was needed or asked. The room we had was spacious, comfortable & we really enjoyed the kitchenette we had to eat breakfast & make coffee. Remember to give them a heads up when you are driving there: they can potentially accommodate you with nice & secure parking, if you are courageous enough to park your car [welcome in the tight spots in Italia]. Five stars, we definitely recommend, & we would definitely go back.
The owner was exceptionally friendly and solicitous. She speaks Italian and French fluently and her English is excellent. The cleaning person speaks only Italian and is very friendly and accommodating (I had to work in the rooms for two days and she was fine not cleaning). Each morning they leave a little breakfast in a basket for you: wonderful. The amenities are basic, but more than adequate and very clean. Wifi was intermittent, but sufficient to do the work I had to do. Very close to the center of Lecce. A great place to stay.
Wonderful B&B in Lecce
A wonderful, peaceful property full of character and elegance. Spacious room with view over the garden. Excellent location for the Old Town and train station. Our host Anna was lovely and very helpful. Breakfast pastries delivered to our room each morning were a delight, accompanied by fruit, cereal and choice of hot drinks available in the room. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it for others.
Anna & Luisa have created an oasis of calm at L'Orangerie d'Epoque. Set in the heart of the historic city of Lecce, the accommodation was both comfortable and clean. Our breakfast was delivered to our room and we enjoyed it in the beautiful garden of this charming B & B. We would certainly stay here again, when next in the area.
Delightful b&b very near historical centre
A charming b&b in an old house situated right outside the historical centre. Our room was very large and nicely furnished with all you could need. The garden is a delight and a sanctuary in a busy city. The internal parking is an absolute bonus as parking otherwise would be very difficult in Lecce. It might require some manœuvring of cars in the morning but we had no problems. I would recommend l’orangerie without hesitation. We were warmly welcomed by our hostess and thoroughly enjoyed our three day stay.
Fantastic rustic BnB in Lecce
Wonderful host, lovely property and garden. Super convenient to the Old city and walkable to train and bus stations. Tasty pastries for breakfast delivered each morning. WiFi in room could be a bit spotty but otherwise an excellent stay. Would highly recommend.
A little bit of magic in Lecce!
We absolutely loved our stay here! When I booked there weren't any reviews so I wasn't really sure what to expect. We were greeted by the lovely Anna and it felt like she was welcoming us into her home. The suite is HUGE. It is like having your own antique filled home in Lecce. Every morning a basket filled with fresh hot pastries is delivered to your door which you can enjoy on the lovely dining table that has already been set. There is a fridge with complimentary milk, water & juice as well as a coffee machine and biscuits (all making up a very Italian breakfast). It is located literally across the road from the historic center entrances so the location is fabulous. The train station is about a 15 minute walk and there is ample (metered) parking in the area. You can also choose to park your car within the villa for an extra 10 euro a day. It was a very special place to stay and I look forward to staying there again.
Beautiful b&b, perfectly located for visiting Lecce. Large, very comfortable and well equipped, beautifully decorated room. But the real joy is the peaceful courtyard garden, a haven on a hot day, wonderful place to relax after a day’s sightseeing. And Anna is so friendly and kind. Absolutely the best place we stayed in southern Italy
A Touch of Elegance
A Wonderful Touch of Elegance My wife and I were both charmed by this elegant bed and breakfast. The suite has high ceilings and is decorated with style, including oranges which is appropriate considering its name l’Orangerie and its large courtyard of orange trees and other greenery with numerous statues and benches and tables and chairs; perfect for having breakfast al fresco or enjoying a quiet spot to read and reflect on the day’s travels. A delicious breakfast with warm pastries awaits you every morning at 8:30 a.m. Inside their courtyard is secure parking. Across the street is a great little restaurant and the old town of Lecce, full of museums, churches, a colosseum unearthed in the 20th century, restaurants, wine bars, and gift shops. Luisa, your host, is very friendly and full of good suggestions on what to see and do during your stay in this enchanting city. I highly recommend staying here!
Superb historic building in a central location
Very enjoyable short stay at L’Orangerie. Lovely breakfast in a grand building with a quiet, shady garden. All this close to the historic centre of Lecce.
Beautiful B&B in a perfect location close to town
Was so easy to find & had such a warm welcome from Anna. Breakfast warm pastries are to die for.
Fantastic rooms and garden
Our stay in July was relaxing and just what we needed. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated. Anna is a gracious host and very helpful. The orangerie gardens are a peaceful oasis where you can sit and relax with no disturbances. Each morning pastries were delivered in a basket and left on our door for breakfast. all other breakfast items re provided int he room so that you can take your time and eat breakfast when you are ready. Delightful place in a very lovely town.
Peaceful retreat in the city
When we rang the bell from the street entrance, we never expected to find such a perfect oasis behind the entry doors. This gracious B&B is run by an even more gracious hostess/owner. Lovely large room with an entrace to a lovely large walled garden. It is located 2 blocks from Lecce old town, making it easy to explore the area on foot. Breakfast in the morning could be either in your room or out in the lovely garden. The warm pastries were a nice touch. We wish we could have stayed more that one night. As we were leaving, the owner invited us up to the second level of the home to see an amazing family mosaic tile floor and tell us some of its history - just exquisite and a real treat to learn about the origins of the home.
Interesting B&B at an old family residence
Wonderful accommodations in a convenient location. Breakfast is self-prepared and the atmosphere is relaxed.
Perfect Stay.
It was wonderful. Very close to old town. Had parking which is hard to get. Hostess was very charming and helpful with suggestions. Room was beautiful and huge. Garden courtyard was charming. Fresh pastries every morning. Good restaurants within 10 yards.
Lovely base for exploring Lecce
A 15minute walk from the railway station in Lecce (a fair bit longer if you get the bus from Brindisi airport to Lecce "city " terminal). It is very close to all the excellent old town stuff (but also quite close to some rather down and out parts, too) There is no noise from outside that we noticed. We had a spacious, clean and comfortable room with fridge, stocked with milk, fruit and yoghurt, and coffee (or tea, if you wish) making stuff. A basket of very Italian breakfast is provided every morning. Italian, ie full of sweet stuff and cheese and meat! There is a garden to use with tables and chairs but we were aware of the mosquitoes so did not use it. The people running L'Orangerie d'Epoque are very nice and it is a very relaxing place to stay in when visiting Lecce.
An oasis in a travellers trip -a treasure to rembe
Severe thunderstorms prevented me from using the garden, which was such a delight right outside my door. A secret arrived at breakfast each morning, and was devoured with delight. Enjoyed the cat's company also at breakfast. Room brings to mind memories of a more gracious era, but without the inconveniences!
A Special place with ' Olde World Charm'
My daughters & I had 3 lovely days in Lecce & felt very special in this delightful Bed & Breakfast. We had breakfast out in the extensive courtyard & coffee in the afternoon . It was a very relaxing stay.
Spacious, comfortable, convenient; and great hosts
Great base for seeing Lecce, everything within walking distance. The orangerie garden was an oasis to escape from the bustle of the town when needed.
Great place centrally located
This is an ideal place to stay as it is so central there is no need to use a car. The building inside is lovely and the quiet garden area is a perfect place to dine or sit and read. It is a family run business and the owners are so kind and helpful. There was always a supply of fresh fruit, yoghurt and milk in the fridge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Wonderful hostesses Anna and her daughter luize. We had the suite which was huge. It was very secure and we could walk everywhere.Location was very busy but could not hear any noise. Beautiful garden for breakfast or a glass of wine later
A wonderful experience , an elegant ,classy , well mantain property , the hosts two wonderful ladies . Safe , on oasis in the middle of the town , a great interior garden , close to everything , stayed for 5 days , wish to stay longer
Great location in centre of the historic area
Excellent
Fabulous surprising oasis in the middle of lecce
After a little struggle to find the place - it was well worth it! Beautiful room in traditional building - with delightful garden and resident cat! Owner is friendly and helpful.
Excellent boutique "shabby chic" hotel in a great location with a perfect garden to spend the afternoons when Lecce closes. Would certainly recommend. One tip: it's not easy to find first time. Look for number 24 next to large wooden doors, no signage but press the buzzer to be let into the courtyard.
Lovely hosts and enclosed courtyard
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room was well appointed w/kitchenette and mini stone porch overlooking the courtyard filled with orange trees. Bed was comfortable. The tiled bathroom unique because the owner made them herself. The kitchenette was stocked with coffee and tea, cracker and cookie snacks as well as breakfast cereal and a fridge with water, juices, and fruit. The best part was the basket of fresh warm pastries delivered to your door about 8am-ish. I was in heaven.
A very special place and hosts!
Great location, private secure parking. Amazing historic Nobel Villa. Anna and Luisa make everything perfect and think of even the tiny details to make your stay more enjoyable!
A Wonderful Stay
We stayed for one night at the beginning of a tour of the Salento and L'Orangerie was a wonderful start to the holiday. A terrifically warm welcome, beautiful spacious room and perfect location. This is the opposite of a chain hotel, a family run place which feels unique. Highly recommended.
A wonderful place to stay
We stayed in the L'Orangerie d'Epoque for two nights. We were greeted by Anna who spoke very good English and were shown into a lovely room which exceeded our expectations. There's an aristocratic feel to this place and we loved eating our breakfast outside on the adjacent patio immediately outside a small kitchen area to the side of the bedroom. Anna kindly suggested where to visit in Lecce and provided a map and a guide book which we later purchased to keep. We discovered that Lecce virtually closes down at 4pm and it was so nice to pop back to the room and make a cup of tea.
Really LOVELY place!!
The B&B is in a stunning building and the owners were really welcoming and friendly ... fresh pastries brought to your door every morning! Great location too - right by one of the gates into the old city, so you can get in easily (everywhere is walkable), but don't have any of the noise !
Superb b&b 2 minutes walk from historic city
The best b&b we ever stayed in, great having delicious breakfast in room. Delightful hosts.
Gracious Hosts
Terrific location. Lovely family operation. Safe, secure parking. Excellent location. Huge room. Average breakfast. However, if you are a plus size, this is not the place for you. The shower stall is small, even for an average sized person. In order to shave, I had to run the hose from the shower to the sink to get hot water. Even so, we liked this hotel very much. Recommended.
A week in a Palazzo
In spite of inclement weather we spent a wonderful week in the large suite. Even had log fires on two evenings We rented a car from inside city location. Worked well as long as you can remember the route in and out
More like an apartment than a b&b in Lecce.
Beautifully appointed enormous room with small refrigerator as well as a hot plate for making coffee and tea. The fridge is stocked daily with milk, yogurt, juice and fresh fruit for a make-your-own breakfast, and a basket of pastries is delivered every morning at a time of your choosing. A 15-minute walk from the train station. Gracious hosts.
This B &B is a jewel in Lecce
The Orangerie d'Epoque is a really unique experience. It is run by two of the nicest women, Anna and her daughter Luisa. The are so warm, genuine, and friendly that you feel like a visitor rather than tourist. The room was decorated beautifully, and we were thrilled with room with stone vaulted ceiling, the garden right outside our door and proximity too all the historical quarter of Lecce.
Wonderful experience
We were greeted with smiles and help getting the hire car in through the tight doors. The building is breath-taking and totally unexpected based on the busy road outside. A total sanctuary - Anna was a gracious host and provided lots of information on the area. Breakfast was lovely, warm baked goods left on your door handle. We promised to return when we can - a real treat on our italian road trip. Lecce was lovely.
Lovely town
Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Nice people. Ask for the aircon to be put on for longer
A marvellous palace apartment and great breakfast
A marvellous palace apartment with a great breakfast next to the historical centre of this beautiful Italian city.
Gracious Accommoddations in Lecce
The room was truly beautiful. The hostess gracious. This hotel is in an old building in Lecce with it's own private garden courtyard. It's close to sites of the old town, with a castle about a half block away. We had to depart early in the morning and they hung a basket on our door filled with fresh baked goods. I only wish we had been able to stay more than one night.
Gracious and restful
A beautiful B&B greets you when you set foot inside the green doors, in a very convenient part of the city. A paradise garden of flowers and orange trees awaits your presence in the many cost places to relax. The room was beautiful with attention to interesting artifacts and all necessities. The hosts Anna and Louisa, gracious and friendly. Highly recommended!
More a boutique hotel than B&B
L'Orangerie d'Epoque is a beautiful B&B just a couple of mins walk from the centre of the old town of Lecce. The rooms are absolutely amazing with very high vaulted ceilings, large bed, etc. There is a gorgeous enclosed large courtyard garden which is very refreshing. For breakfast the lovely hosts Louise and Anna put brioche and pastries in a basket and hang it to the outside of the door and you eat breakfast in your room on a lovely round table - very much a boutique hotel rather than B&B. Could have asked for anything more and will recommend to our friends and family.
L'orangerie d'epoque
This was a really special accomodation for us considering the attention to detail by Louisa and Anna. The room was enormous and in a grand old building..... just walk across the street into the historical city. Next door was a fantastic little wine bar featuring regional wines by the glass and also Rossi delicatessan with delicious take away food.
Consigliato.
The kindness and hospitality of the owner are excellent. The location is very good for visiting the town
Own apertment in the garden, friendly and kind welcome by the owner. Romantic atmosphere and lovely garden.
Personale molto gentile e disponibile.
Geheimer Garten in zentraler Lage
Ottima accoglienza e struttura veramente unica.Colazione in camera deliziosa. Posizione strategica, vicinissima a porta S.Biagio.
Aside from the parking which was not really available other than on the street, everything was perfect !!
struttura bellissima e particolare cnfort altissimo
A very stylish old house, with a superb garden in the courtyard. Although the gate is at a rather noisy street, you don’t hear anything in the rooms, except for the wee wee of the ambulances and police. Everything what you need is there, a very welcoming host is available and really taking care.
Piacevole soggiorno in una struttura d'epoca, ben curata, dotata di tutti i confort. Ottima e squisita l'accoglienza della Propietà. Interessante giardino all'italiana all'interno del palazzo antico.

The hosts are lovely. The apartment is uniquely and historically beautiful. I cannot see how the experience could have been any more enjoyable.
