I arrived at 9pm for check-in and the staff didn’t seem to know much about parking, which meant I spent half an hour driving around when I could’ve parked on the back roads for free after 8pm (+ Sundays). There is also a carpark round the back but that closes at night. On the other hand, the next day the staff was very helpful when we asked them to change our room as the bed was very small for 2 people - I’d booked a double but the bed was a 3/4 size. The downside is that it is on the noisy side, we had a room that gave out on to the courtyard and there were people outside talking until 3am, then slamming the fire doors early in the morning. For its location it’s good value for money.
Great student residence type private rooms. Very clean and bright . As with everywhere in this part of the world, their "double" bed is smaller than a North American double...so my daughter slept on the floor with the duvet while I took the bed. It was so clean and comfy though that we were both happy with that.
New building, room was clean but very small. Good if you won’t be spending much time in the room. Most of the staff was nice, one of them had a little bit of attitude one time but that was it. Great location, close to the Jameson distillery and a short walk to the temple bar district. The one thing that made our stay not so great was that the fact that the elevator was broken and my boyfriend is currently on crutches. We were on the 4th floor and they said nothing else was available, so we had to take 6 flights of stairs every time. Overall had a nice stay.
Great value for location. Very clean and secure. No TV.
The staff was very helpful and not ce, the place was clean and accessible ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Clean and comfortable stay with modern hostel vibe
This place is fine and has a nice "modern hostel" vibe. The cafe right downstairs is a nice feature and has great coffee. Rooms are small but comfortable and clean. Tram also stops just around the corner, so easy to get to city center and train or bus stations. It felt a bit understaffed as there was usually a line of people at the front desk and the employees seemed a bit frazzled. Elevator was also out of service for the three days I was there.
Good food, very clean, friendly staff. Too noisy for me, though. Party life is very active.
Room was basic and clean. USB wall chargers were convient, but place was very noisy at night. Children playing outside and seagulls.
The building seems brand new, high-security access with room card to enter the building, the elevators, and room itself. ("Gardia"/Police station next door, but we were not bothered by noise). Well-located in Smithfield across from St Michan Church, between 2 tram stops (one within eye-distance from Church Street), near city bus stops (as well as the hop on and off tour buses), and airport shuttle stop (Usher Quay stop coming from airport, then cross the river Liffey; Arran Quay in front of "Ocean house" stop going to the airport). Only a short block from the famous Brazen Head pub, the oldest pub in Ireland and easy walking distance to Temple Bar area, Parnell Square and other tourist attractions like Dublinia and Christ Church Cathedral. The front-desk staff was very helpful and friendly. There is also a little cafe area in the lobby to get soft drinks, snacks and coffee, but they close very early. There is, however, a bodega a few paces up the street so that was not a problem to get drinks and snacks after 5pm. The room was on the small side but very clean and comfortable; No TV, but that did not bother us either. I definitely recommend this place and will book there again if I ever get the chance to return to Dublin for a visit.
Give this place a try
A nice inexpensive option for an ensuite stay in downtown Dublin. Though geared for long term student stays it was a nice option for a 1 night stay. Being only a couple blocks from O'Connell Street is a real plus. There was on-street parking available about a block away.
If you're looking for a basic, no frills hotel room, this is a great option. Keep in mind that these rooms are 1/2 to 1/3 of the price of many of the more traditional hotel rooms in Dublin! Yes the rooms are small and dorm-like, but they do have private bathrooms, and there are common areas with couches and TVs in the hotel if you want to get out of your room. There are also common kitchens with microwaves, toasters, kettles and lots of fridge space, as well as coin laundry facilities. This property is sort of a middle-ground between a hotel and a hostel. It can be a bit noisy at times as the clientele skews to the younger side, but it is very clean and the staff are friendly and attentive. And the location is great -- walking distance to the Guinness Storehouse, Jameson and Teeling Distilleries and Temple Bar, but just far enough away from these attractions that the nightlife won't keep you awake. Highly recommended!
We enjoyed staying in LIV student accommodation. The location is perfect, close to shops, bars etc.. and also the Luas. Our room was very comfortable and the staff were all both friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the cafe downstairs was delicious.
Very enjoyable stay
Wonderful staff, decent location with comfortable en-suite room. Close to the trolley line, with easy access to Connelly Station , and Dublin Airport.
Es ist eine gute Unterkunft, die sehr zentral gelegen ist. Wir würden sie auf jeden Fall wieder buchen !!
Check in und Check Out waren super unkompliziert.
Terrible experience
Terrible experience! Small bed for couple. The lift was not working (we were ar the 5th floor) . The staff was terrible, because in the night stay only a "doorman" who couldnt provide extra pillow for us.
Double was no double bed (115cm), there was a party at the games room each night (staff said it usually stops at noon, but when it starts after they can't do anything against.....)

Decent Choice For A Short Stay
This was a good choice for a 1 night stay. If staying several nights in Dublin, I would probably go elsewhere. The location was very good: a short walk to the Liffey River and touristy section of Dublin. The immediate Area of LIVStudent Dublin was less touristy and had some good pubs (Cobblestones has good live music, Walsh's Pub had great atmosphere, bartenders, and friendly locals) and restaurants (Lavanda, Wuff). The room was good size, clean, and the bed was comfortable. I was annoyed that hotels.com indicated a 10:30 AM checkout, but LIVStudent Dublin informed me it was 10:00 AM. This may not seem like a big deal, but I had already paid for an airport bus transfer at a specific time, and this 10:00 AM checkout meant I had to spend more time at Huesten station waiting for the airport bus.
