Liked everything, especially location.

Horrible check in

The communication was appalling. The phone number listed on hotels.com is wrong. I did not receive the email with the check in instructions. Once check in is done, you are supposed to receive an email with codes for the front door and the apartment door… I am still waiting for this email and I have already checked out. The phone assistance has awkward hours, the person answering is bored and answers one question at a time and you need to call back… unbelievable!

Location!!! Everything close by.

Good location

Very clean and confortable. The only thing that was very uncomfortable is the elevator. But definitely we would comeback to the apartment.

Everything is ok except that they never replied to my messages so we don’t even know how to get in inside of the building.

Very good value in an excellent location

The property itself is centrally located to cafes, restaurants, mini supermarkets and many other eateries giving you plenty of choices. The rooms are maintained well with good daily cleaning. However, the check-in process could get challenging if you didn't receive an email with entry code into the main entrance, which I didn't. I had to call to receive code, enter the apartment building with that code and then begin the check-in process on their automated system which is well designed. I have seen previous reviews with complaints of elevator/lift issues, and that is accurate. We had to climb 3 stories with heavy suitcases, not to mention climbing up and down every time you are exiting the building, which can be a challenge for elderly folks. So, please be aware that the elevator/lift issue seems to be an existing issue that has not been addressed. In addition, there is a bad stench/foul smell as soon as you enter the building. It is very displeasing every time you enter the premises.

Good location. Was a bit frustrating to arrive to find the elevator was out of service. We were on the 5th floor and if had known ahead of time, we could’ve avoided having our large suitcases. It was very difficult bringing them all the way up and down using the stairwell. The steps were also difficult for our mother. Wish this was communicated to us prior to our arrival.

The apartment itself was well-equipped with modern amenities, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and comfort was evident throughout. Additionally, the staff at Lisbon Serviced Apartments Madalena were friendly and accommodating. They were readily available to answer any questions we had and provided excellent recommendations for local attractions and dining spots. Overall, our experience at Lisbon Serviced Apartments Madalena was exceptional. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Lisbon who wants a centrally located, clean, and comfortable place to stay.

Check in process needs improvement

Good location and nice room but the check in process was not well organized. I never got a reservation code to input at check in in the automated machine, so had to make a few phone calls to resolve.

Great location - everything was within walking distance. No reception but responsive via email. The bathroom sink didn’t have much space to put toiletries into. Bathroom glass door was faulty which allowed water to leak and flood the bathroom floor.

Close proximity to places we want to see.

Excellent location

We had a 14 hours layover in Lisbon; therefore, need to stay here for one night. The service apartment was very close the main street with a lot restaurants, stores, and the plaza Praça do Comércio. Before you arrival, look for email from the property NOT from the Expedia, it will contain the building access code. Without it, it may be hard to find a way in. After you get into the building, there is no front desk, instead you will need your booking confirmation number and passport to check-in and pay for the necessary city tax or fee. The final screen will provide building access code and room access code, take a photo. The apartment itself was super clean and modernized. We booked an studio since we stay for only one night, it has a small kitchenet, big closets, very comfy bed and a single sofa bed. When you checkout, just need to scan the QR code on the door, submit a simple form. Great service apartment overall, and will stay here again when we visit Lisbon.

The location and the actual property were perfect for me. There is a pre-check in site that simply does not work! Don’t waste your time. Check in yourself at the property at check in time, the kiosk in the entry is simple to use. You get a code for the front door and for your unit. The unit was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Perfect location, you can walk everywhere. Great restaurants nearby. Highly recommend it.

A nice property overall, great base for exploring the old town. Well equipped compact kitchen. TV was a bit slow to load up channels, not sure why, but didn’t matter. A very modern style apartment in a historic building. Would recommend to others.

Easy access to city trips

Great location, clean apartment. Some difficulty reaching the property by phone. The mattress was absolutely rock hard. Otherwise all was well.

Spacious property and close to good places !

Unfortunately the wrong apartment building code number was given to me. I was a late check in.10pm. Thank goodness 15 minutes later someone was heading out and let me in the building.I got the right code with the virtual check in. This was stressful and very upsetting. Also the wrong phone number was posted so when I called a few days earlier it was a number not in service. I had to get an Expedia virtual assistant to reach out to the property owner to get the right number. This took all day. Communication was very poor BUT the property was good.

Central location.

The property is super close to the marina and main local attractions in Lisbon. It does have an elevator. The only thing I was a bit concerned about our stay was the cleanliness of our room and the smell of garbage/sewage when we walked into the main floor. Aside from that the apartments have stove top and utensils if you wanted to cook your own meals and location is great.

Great place to spend few days

The location os perfect, close to city center, pierce and all attractions. We took a taxi to Belem, which was about 8 Euro. Place is nice and clean.

This property is located in a great area right in the heart of Lisbon. It’s close to all that you need and within walking distance of most major attractions, restaurants, shops and transportation. It is super quiet from the modern inside windows. It has cleaning service daily, easy to check in and out. I would definitely recommend it and we would stay again without hesitation.

Positives: We stayed for a week, so it was nice to have a kitchen/dining area. Grateful there is an elevator, as we were on the 5th floor. Communication with the main office was quick and easy. Negatives: Noticed a lot of loose hair around, especially in the bathroom when we arrived. Bed is extremely uncomfortable, might as well have slept on the floor. Angled ceiling in the living/dining room area is very low and we kept bumping our heads on it when sitting or standing up from the couch/chairs.

Extremely small and uncomfortable. No space for anything

It was cramped. Perhaps changing the bed and/or it's location would open the place up a bit. Garbage trucks and sirens every night. Otherwise the location was great. Close to trams, buses and trains. As well as the waterfront, sights and restaurants.

Located in the center of Lisbon right near main walking streets. very well designed and thought thru apartment. comfortable enough - certainly worth its money

I was traveling with my parent and stayed 3 nights in Lisbon. The apartment is situated in a great location, near the water, walkable distance to everything. Apartment is very new and clean. Note, there's no reception, its self-check-in. Few cons - the apartment is small, very small, a bit too small for 3 of us. The bathroom is especially tiny, there's no counter space at all. My sofa bed was not prepared when we arrived, we had to set it our own. There's a window in the bedroom, but it was facing some type of air vent which was releasing smelly air, so we had to keep that window closed the whole time.

Excelente place to be close of the centre of Lisboa , very clean y in very good condition.

Perfect Location. Super clean and has everything you need in the cute little kitchen. Restaurants and shops all around it and a block away from bus station (where Ubers also pick up). 15 minute walk to the train station. A block from the port. Once you figure out check in, it's all smooth! ( Don't expect to be able to contact management though 😅 you're on your own)

Very conveniently located near tram lines, a metro station, and the river. Clean, modern, lift, and easy self-registration.

Location was very close to transportation. The apartment was a good size. Just would have liked more counter space in the bathroom.

I would strongly advise to not book here, we slept very poorly. It's centrally located, clean and modern. However the walls are paper thin and the apartments are all very close together. You can hear every other guests conversations, TV etc even the sound of their cutlery on their plates as if they're in the room with you. We unfortunately also had noisy guests next door who were awake until 2 am every night. We requested to be moved on the first night but this was declined, we emailed again the second night but this was ignored.

Central location to bars, restaurants, museums

Everything was compact which made it spacious. It was amazingly clean!! So clean!

Great place to stay. So many options around for things to do, shops and restaurants. The check in always seems to be tricky. We called and they let us into the door, and we were able to check in on a touch screen. After that, it was easy to get in and out of the building with the code. It appears that it was just remodeled, and everything was new and clean.

Great stay!! We thought it would be a loud party street due to the daytime activity when we arrived but it was actually very quiet at night aside from the usual city sounds. Small and efficient. The bed was very hard and could use a good memory foam topper but otherwise very nice.

The pictures of the apartment are misleading. The apartment was very small, and the bathroom could have been bigger as well.

Could not find the property management for any questions.

The place is clean and well located but a little small. It is okay for a short stay but not for a longer one. It would be nice to get some sort if guide or tips or suggestions ( where to eat, how to move around, etc) from the people running the place .

Enjoyed the area. The bed was very comfortable, the air conditioning worked well. Even though it was a noisy, busy area, the room was quiet because of the sound proof balcony doors.

Staff emptied our room!

Overall pretty good property. However, we had made 2 reservations running one after another. We emailed ahead of time and had confirmation that we would be staying in the same room so no need to check out/in again. Despite this we came home one day to find the staff had went into our room, put all our stuff into plastic bags, emptied the safe and moved us to another room. Not on if you ask me. We had several other members of our family arriving the next day so couldn't do much about it. No one to talk to either as check in is a machine. Don't think staff should be doing this.

Our stay was overall excellent. The check-in process was a little confusing, but there was someone on site who assisted us right away. The unit was very clean and they even left us some snacks! The location was also very good.

Great central location. Nice property. Had issues with the shower draining, water poured out down the hall. Able to get someone in right away to fix it. Only bad thing was the amenities in the kitchen. There was a coffee maker, but no coffee. What do you do with that? You are in a foreign country and now you have to try to find someone who will sell you a little bit of coffee grounds so you can make 4 cups of coffee??

Good value for the money

Great location, clean room kind of small but great price for it. Linens and furniture looked brand new and crisp. Quiet at night but it might not be the case when tourism is back to normal as it is located at a very busy neighborhood.

Posotives - Location, bed, cleaniness, nice simple interior and good use of space, desent views. Negatives - elevator not working and nobody warned us despite booking an apartment on the top floor, terrible smell on the common parts, luggage storage system not working but were offered an alternative addres to store our stuff.

Apart from the false fire alarm going off around midnight 3 nights out of 6 and the elevator being out of order we had a pleasant stay

There was Out of the elevator Service and we had to claimed 4th floors every day ! Specially not had service to help get luggage down for us from 4th floor! And every midnight had smoke alarming! So terrible!! Not more next time! Actually 4 nights When I stayed there and I couldn’t sleep! If can I would like to ask refund!

when you enter the lobby, there is no direction of rooms. You cannot tell which floor to go at least. In my case, the elevator was out of the service, and I thought I had to find my room leaving my luggage at the lobby and clime up with the stairs to which I may have had to do up to the 4-5th floor. Luckily there was a virtual phone to the receptionist, but it would have been easier if there is a post of basic direction of rooms at the lobby.

Paid in full and no response from the property owner before or after check in time , even its their mistake no refund from them had to book urgent accomodation elsewhere , i would not recommend anyone to book this property

Passez votre chemin

Le checkin est une catastrophe car les pièces d’identité française ne sont pas acceptés donc il faut passer du temps à contacter quelqu’un d’où une attente très longue. L’appartement sous les toits était très bruyant, car le système de chauffage était juste au-dessus et faisait un bruit infernal. Impossible de dormir de toute la nuit. Odeur de canalisation ignoble. Pour quelques euros, de plus des hôtels à proximité sont bien plus accueillant.

Check-in was terrible. Did not work online, the self check-in had troubles connecting and the person on the helpline did not really want to help

숙소위치가 매우좋았고 늦은시간에도 어둡지않았습니다. 키오스크로 체크인하는방식으로 도착전까지 소통은 전혀안됩니다. 화장실에서 냄새가 납니다.

Not allowed to use lift

The lift cannot be used, and you can only use stair to climb up to 6 floors. Cannot store luggage when you checked out.

Logement très bien situé au coeur de la ville. C'etair super propre et tranquille. Petit bémol, nous sommes arrivés un peu avant 14h avec tous nos bagages, nous avons mis 2 euro dans un locker à l'entrée et cela n'a pas fonctionne. Nous avons dut aller à l'hotel d'à côté qui ont gentillement accepté de les garder en lieu sûr. Également, il n'y avait pas de fer a repasser et le matelas était trop ferme, donc pas très confortable. Mais, sommes tout, nous avons globalement apprécié notre séjour. Merci

Toutes les inclusions étaient présentes. Très propre, lit confortable, proximité des activités. Un peu petit par contre. Dans cet établissement comme dans tous les autres, il manque des crochets. Eg salle de bain, chambre..surtout pour facilité l utilisation de la salle de bain et la douche.
