Great hostel, comfy dorms close to transport links

Really easy to find right next to the tram stop. The dorm rooms were great, the bunks built in so no wobbling, and each with a curtain across for privacy, individual reading lights and sockets. Ladder was a little uncomfortable/fiddly. The option to rent sheets/towel is good, but not obligatory. Check-in is via key-pad & lock-box but very simple and easy to use. I was able to drop my luggage off ahead of check-in and also leave my luggage during the day after checkout. The lounge and balcony were a nice area to sit in in the evening. I didn't use the kitchen but it seemed well equipped. Communal toilets and showers were clean and only had to queue once. One of the best hostels I've stayed in for a while.

The hostel had a comfortable feel to it. The 15 mins tram ride from the train station was a nice ride where you could see some of the sights to be seen. The kitchen was spacious n opened for long hours. Other guests were co-operative in keeping the kitchen clean n tidy. Check in n out were easy enough.

Amazing place to stay, close to the botanical gardens and many restaurants. Incredibly clean and 6 bed dorm with large windows was great

Wrong room

Well the hotel is super nice and clean but I arrived late at night and I was given a different room then the one I booked! I was very disappointed specially after a long day of unfortunate events

Quiet Dorm

It's in a nice area of Gothenburg. Nice rooms. I stayed in a dorm room with 7 other guys. Pleasantly surprised that it was quiet and not a party crowd. The bathrooms were okay for a hostel. Check-in is not 24/7.

Really nice hostel, more like a hotel. Beds were super comfortable and rooms were a decent size. One of the best hostel kitchens I’ve seen, although maybe a bit small if the hostel was full. The bathrooms were nice and clean, there are separate toilet/sink and shower rooms. Location is convinient and near a tram stop. Only negative for me was that the room doors closed super loudly. Overall great stay!

The location is fantastic The WiFi is bad The price is good

Super easy after-hours checkin process. Common areas including toilets and showers are extremely clean and regularly maintained. The kitchen is spacious well-equipped. The property is within 5 min walk from various bars, restaurants, a good supermarket and the Natural History Museum. This is definitely one of the best properties I have stayed at.

Far from city centre but worth it for quality

The hotel/hostel itself is lovely, very comfortable and quite upmarket for the price. Bit of a distance to a lot of the main city centre, (around 40 mins walk from station) however the area of Haga nearby has some lovely restaurants and cafes. Would recommend if you enjoy walking or if you are confident getting the tram (tram station right across the road)

Close to the heart of Gothenburg

This hotel is close to the park called Slottsskogen. I saw beautiful panorama looking out of my window.

Great value, service and location

Great breakfast. Very well organized and helpful. I arrived late and was sent detailed, precise instructions by both SMS and email. Everything went very smoothly. Bathrooms are clean and numerous. Never a wait.

The hotel reception opens at 3pm exactly 3pm, so thus the door to the hotel.

Waste of my money. Awful stay run by liars.

After booking and paying for a private double room, the room we were given was a 4 bed, bunk bed room! The owners said that the private rooms were full, but we were put in there on our own so it was still "private" so we had to pay the same amount as the double room (which had a TV whereas our bunk room did not). The WiFi was essentially non-existent. The owners were never there apart from when we checked in and checked out. There was no air conditioning which isn't a big deal if you can open windows, which you can't here, so the rooms are extremely hot. Also when we arrived we were greeted with an extra 156kr we were not told was needed to be spent in order to buy BED LINENS and towels. There was also no question of how the stay was when we left. All in all. I would not stay here again.

A bit expensive, dead atmosphere, but comfortable

You have to pay extra for towels and linens. Wifi is not great. Comfortable and clean bed. Atmosphere is bad; feels more like a hotel.

Excellent, convenient hotel

Stayed for three nights - out-of-hours check-in was easily arranged, there are bars a short walk away and the staff were friendly and helpful. Despite being quite small, there is lift access to all floors, plenty of showers and toilets and despite being near a major road, it was quiet too

Staffs a bit impatient and not very friendly. Great toilet and shower. Bedding not included. Location a bit far from city center but close to tram stop. Supermarket near by. good kitchen and dinning area. Lockers in room (do remember to ask for the key).

Had a good stay!

I have received professional service on reception and thereafter. The Hotel/Hostel is Clean and apart from the bad Wifi, which they can easily fix, everything was great. The Ethiopian (origin) girl on the reception also gave me a very warm welcome.

Clean, Practical, Convenient; Good for All-Ages

I enjoyed my four-nights stay at Linnéplatsens. The botanical gardens and natural history museum are practically steps away. The nearby tram and bus stop will allow you to get anywhere in the city with ease. The hostel is quiet, clean and comfortable. The kitchen facilities are practical and adequate. I saw people of all ages stay here, which I appreciated. I even made a new friend! I recommend Linnéplatsens Hostel.

Happy Stay

Before going had read reviews and the hostel was exactly as described. It was clean reasonably priced. Sheets and breakfast were extra.If your'e not travelling Ryan air then not a problem to bring your own.Breakfast was typically continental it was adequate but should be ordered in advance. Showers spotlessly clean and never had to wait. I would highly recommend this hostel, it is in a very safe part of the city. Beautiful park close by. Thanks for a great stay.

Clean, convenient and cheap

Clean, convenient and comfortable stay had by myself and three friends. The man at reception was possibly the nicest I have ever encountered and very helpful. Beds really comfy, shared bathrooms clean and breakfast basic but sufficient and convenient. For a low cost trip to a gray city I dint think you could do any better. The walk to the centre/bars is safe, easy and about 15-25 minutes depending on route.

We booked a standard quadruple room for 2 of us. When we arrived there was no problem adding our daughter to the booking. They came and made up the sofa bed for her. The room was lovely with views over the park. The balcony was too cold to use but added to the look of the room and made a good fridge. There wasn't any storage in the room other than 3 hooks but when we asked for a hanger, they brought up a hanging rail and hangers. I had previously been put off booking this hotel because of the shared bathrooms, however it really wasn't an issue, there were plenty of toilets and showers on each floor all of which were clean. The hotel was very quiet and we hardly noticed the other guests in the hotel. At breakfast I asked if the muesli contained nuts, which it did. The next day they provided a special nut free muesli for me and soya milk and yoghurt for my husband. The staff were all very helpful, nothing seemed too much trouble. We definitely plan to stay at this hotel again when we are in Gothenburg .

Great place to stay for a night

The hostel was in a great location in a cute neighbourhood with plenty of bars and coffee shops, and maybe a 30 minute walk at most to the centre of Gothenburg. The room itself was basic but clean and modern, and the kitchen was well equipped too. My only criticism was the room got so hot (there were 3 of us in the room in total) that I woke up several times in the night feeling uncomfortable. Maybe because they were blasting the heat due to terrible Swedish weather! Apart from that everything else was great, my first stay in a hostel so this place has set the bar high!

Great Hostel - perfect for solo travellers.

The hotel is very well maintained. The facilities are very basic (as you would expect in a hostel) but very well maintained. The staff are very helpful, and are willing to go the extra bit to make sure that your needs are catered for.

Very nice for its price

Nice, clean hotel (1,5 y old). Nice, attentive, friendly staff. Lovely neighborhood. The only downside was the fact that there was no bathroom in the hotel room, they were shared between all rooms. However, I can see why that solution was chosen, the re-build would have been very costly otherwise

More hotel than hostel, and very roomy :-)

I had a private room which was large, bright and with lots of room, not like most hotels where the desk almost touches the bed. The whole place was simply, clean, spacious and bright. The kitchen very organized, the toilets and showers clean and only a few steps outside the room, and the breakfast buffet fresh and with a nice selection. Wifi was good morning and afternoon, but slowed to uselessness in the evening. One downside was the there wasn't a 24h reception, or even 12h reception as the staff go for lunch/break ca 13-15h, but there was a number so you could call anytime. A second temporary downside was the renovation of the building (not inside the hotel), with drilling and hammering all day and, on the night I was there, long into the evening too. However, the staff did have words with the builders as this was apparently not allowed, so hopefully other guests won't suffer the same noise.

Great Place

Not to far from the center of town, easy to walk to from the hotel. Place was really clean and comfortable. Everything was great, definitely would come back!

Great hostel

Nice clean hostel with great location. Not that expensive for Göteborg. Only reason I don't give a full 5 is because it's a hostel not a hotel.

Great relaxing stay and friendly staff

I was in a room with single bunk bed. It was clean, and very comfortable.Close proximity to park, and many transport links as well as frequent taxis and in house taxi call service. Lots of restaurants and tranquil lunch places within easy walking distance. They have brilliant kitchen facilities and lounge area very tranquil and comfortable. Aside from bit of building works going on creating a bit of noise, this hotel/ hostel is an ideal location and easy to get to from airport.

Heaps good

The hotel is in a great location opposite slottskogen, clean and the reception was really friendly and offered good help with all things Gothenburg.

Our room and common area were freshly painted and updated, which was nice. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, which wax refreshing. The only thing that could have been improved was the information that linens were not included in the price - it would have been helpful if that was stated more obviously. Otherwise, we liked the 11:00 checkout time, and it was a great place.

Solid hostel in vibrant area

Nice hostel, friendly service. Basic and small but clean rooms. The area is very vibrant, with a nearby street filled with wonderful restaurants and cafes. Overall a good place to stay in Goteborg.

great value for money, friendly staff

Needed a place to stay on short notice and found this hostel. The staff is super nice, reason for not higher rating is that, well, it's a hostel, where you have to bring your own sheets and towels (they rent them for you for an additional fee) - Scandinavian way I guess. Sharing bathrooms also an interesting part. But overall a good experience.

A great start to the new years!

We stayed in a 6 person room for three nights. The cost was very low, which led us to a little doubt when we were on our way. The only bad thing I can say about the place was it's a bit far from the town centre, around 20 minutes walk. The hostel itself was completely modern, extremely clean and well kept. Despite being shared facilities the shower rooms and toilets were also very clean. The staff were very friendly, and very helpful. Anything we needed they were on hand to help. It is all very very basic, however at the price I could never complain. For check in you must arrive before 7 as there are no staff on hand overnight, we were incredibly close to missing them!! Overall very pleased with our stay!

this is a hostel, but its standard is equal to 4* hotel in Spain. Quiet, safe, very clean - perfect.

Standardrum, nöjd med vistelse

Vi valde ett standardrum för en natts övernattning, kändes som ett vanligt hotellrum förutom att man delade toaletter med andra på våningen. Detta var dock inga problem, både rum och toaletter kändes fräscha. Frukostbuffén var fin, mycket att välja på och gott kaffe!

Hotellet var åtminstone bättre än hotels app

Hotels borde tydligare visa ifall det finns parkering i anslutning till hotell samt ifall man förväntas ha med sig egna lakan.

Städat och rent. Trevligt ställe!

Endroit très cosy et propre. C'est positif d'avoir une cuisine a disposition. Possible d'y aller à pieds depuis la gare en 40 min ou 10 de tram. Je vous le recommande. Les draps et serviettes sont en supplément

Super Hostel für Solo Traveller

Das 6er Frauen Zimmer war sauber und die Betten haben Vorhänge. Das Hostel ist gut mit den Öffis zu erreichen und fußläufig zum beliebten Viertel Haga. Auch ist ein Park direkt davor und man kann gut in der Umgebung essen gehen und einen Supermarkt gibt es auch.

Enkelt, men bra boende

En mycket trevlig herre jobbade i receptionen, rummet var rent och frächt. Självincheckningen fungerade bra med instruktioner via sms. Lätt att hitta dit. Kommer gärna tillbaka till Linnéplatsens vandrarhem.

Positivt överraskad

Stort och fint rum som till och med hade en inglasad balkong - väldigt positiv överraskning! Dusch och toalett fanns precis utanför rummet. God frukost.

The pay-to-have-a-sheet was lowly. Just include it in the price. Do not do underhanded tactics like extra costs, it just gives a bad taste in the mouth. Hence, the low rating. The floor of the room was very dirty, like someone walked in with muddy boots. It was more a surprise than a problem. The placement of the hostel is good. The staff was great. I would try it again as both issues can and should be solved.

Alldeles kanon!

Vi tog ett hotellrum inklusive frukost. Rummet hade en inglasad balkong, sängen var kanon och allt var rent och fräscht, riktigt bra ljudisolering då det ligger vid en ordentligt trafikerad gata och inget hördes. Toaletterna och duscharna var städade. Frukosten var kanon, det fylldes på flitigt och personalen var trevliga. Ett litet minus var att det inte fanns laktosfritt smör, men det fanns laktosfri yoghurt. Ska vi bo på hotell i Göteborg igen, så blir det här. Nära det mesta och billig parkerig bara 5 min promenad ifrån. Utanför hotellet så kan man parkera i 30 min så att man kan lämna/hämta väskor innan parkeringen. Vi är så nöjda, tack från oss.

Sexbäddsrum

Över förväntan. Bodde i sexbäddsrum och det funkade fint. Rent och snyggt, även i gemensam dusch/toalett. God frukost. Fick inte det utlovade mailet/sms:et med kod till ytterdörr och nyckelbox, men det ordnade sig på plats med hjälp av en trevlig städare.

Had wat technische problemen met inchecken, maar werd heel netjes opgelost door mij een gratis ontbijtje aan te bieden. Verder een heel net hostel op loopafstand van het centrum en direct naast een heel mooi park met mooie uitzichten over de stad.

Överlag rent och fräscht men det intrycket drogs tyvärr ner avsevärt av alla flugor som surrade runt i sällskaps- och frukostrummet, förmodligen pga krukväxterna.

köket känndes lite dystert

Göteborg ist teuer. Dennoch halte ich 103€ für ein Doppelbett ohne eigenes Badezimmer bereits für einen stattlichen Preis. Dazu kamen dann noch 6,50€ pro Person für Bettwäsche, was irgendwo ganz unten im Kleingedruckten stand. Die Unterkunft bietet also eigentlich Hostel-Standards zu teuren Hotel-Preisen. Exemplarisch dafür war für uns, dass unser Nachbarzimmer offenbar ein Schlafsaal war, bei dem bis 12 Uhr nachts alle fünf Minuten die Tür zu knallte. Für diesen Preis hätte ich mir doch mehr erhofft.

Liebevolle und stilvolle Einrichtung. Privatsphäre obwohl Hostel, da einzelne WCs auf Stockwerk verteilt. Tolles Frühstück. Saubere und schöne Küche. Angenehme Umgebung mit Park. Velos gleich vor dem Hostel zu mieten. Restaurant unterhalb Hostel abends etwas laut, stark befahrene Kreuzung.

Toppen nära till Slottsparken, spårvagn och hyfsat nära till parkeringshus. Vi återkommer.

Fantastisk personal och sköna sängar. Det delade badrummen och duscharna funkade bra, fanns även en rymlig kyl i allmänna köket. Hade önskat ägg eller bacon till frukosten annars var den super. :)

The hostel is super clean and nicely decorated. In a nice area close to cafes, nature (Slottsparken) and art (Konstepidemin). I got a nice room with a view of the Linne square. Recommended!

Så otroligt fint, fräscht och prisvärt. Frukosten hade förvånande stort utbud med tanke på priset. Hit kommer vi absolut fler gånger. Mycket smidig incheckning.

Fin frukost o trevlig atmosfär. Man sover gott i sängarna o rummen är luftiga o gott om plats. Kommer du med bil finns det tips i receptionen var du kan parkera billigare än just i området utanför
