It was super noisy (loudest music I ever experienced) by the nearby night clubs till 2:30am, with no sleep and waking up early to do excursion. I was super tired due to lack of sleep that I had to cut my paid tour activities.

Don’t go if you are not French

We expected 3 relaxing days at the end of our Madagascar holiday. The hotel was not what we expected at all. We were treated differently than the French speaking people. We were unable to book an excursion, because all were presented in French and the reception was unable to explain in English. The restaurant had a special daily menu which which was in French only. The staff didn’t even present it to us because they were aware that they couldn’t translate it. The location was bad and not as beautiful as the pictures we saw of Nosy Be. We rented a motorbike and drove to the north of the island. Nosy Be was indeed beautiful, but not at the location of this hotel. The bungalow was overpriced. Very dark and humid, mosquitoes, ants and other insects everywhere. Compared to other Madagascar hotels, this hotel was not worth more than Euro 40.00 a night while we paid Euro 100.00

Enjoyable stay

Beautiful eco style resort. Two great pools and an alfresco style dining/bar area. Nice views. Good French style food. Would highly recommend a half board or full board package. Well priced drinks and cocktails. Most staff speak English and are pleasant and engaging. As this is an eco style resort there is no air conditioning in the rooms. Also there was no hairdryer in the room. I would stay here again!

A worthwhile stay

L'Heure Bleue is a beautifully built and well maintained eco-resort. The position is excellent with the seaview rooms perfectly situated to take in the shifting scenery. Staff were very helpful (reception staff, wait staff and manager were all engaged and willing to support and translate when necessary). Pools are excellent. Food was generally very good, with a good range of choices, but there were a couple of dishes that 'did not quite' work. Note - no air-conditioning. We presumed a resort would be air-conditioned and did not read the fine print as we hurried to book. We should have been more thoughtful, given the term 'eco'-resort :). This worked out ok. Just something to think about in relation to the season and when humidity is ridiculous.

Great Place and tremendous hotel staff

this is an excellent hotel and great get away. The food is state of the art and top of the line. If there is a choice, choose full board.

Excellent, private beach resort

We recently stayed at L'Heure Bleue and can't say enough good things about it. Beautiful hotel grounds, very clean, lovely rustic cabins. The hotel itself is very quiet and private. Food is excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Stays omewhere else but eat at the restaurant

The check-in staff just she you to your bungalow, no information about the facilities, services or meal times. The bungalows are small, basic and dark, partially compensated by the relatively large outside seating area. The resort overlooks a popular beach with a number of bars which play loud music till the early hours if the morning on certain evenings. The staff are not interested in providing any assistance in fact it seems an imposition. The only redeeming aspect is the restaurant which serves god food.

Nosy be

Lovely hotel just at the end of the beach so its quite, the food delicious and there is infinity pool with great view. We liked staying there and the staff are really nice!

L'Heure Bleue review

We really enjoy the hotel facilities and the services by all employees! Frank the manager helps a lot with good advices about anything regarding the islands. The bartenders really nice and generous, the food awesome! And rest of stuff really nice and friendly! The only minus is that we got here after season which not many guests around, but the other hand its cool to relax! Will def. Recmand this hotel!

Nosy Be - L'Heure Bleue

Stayed at L'Huere Bleue for 5 nights while on Nosy Be and would definitely recommend staying here to anyone thinking about visiting the island. The hotel's grounds were beautifully kept, the manager was very friendly and spoke with me every time we ran into each other. There were no complaints from this stay and would do it again!

Charming quiet hotel, go for deluxe room

Beautiful hotel. Deluxe room on the water is well worth it. Understated elegant decor with beautiful deck for lounging. Shade covers the decks by 3pm but it's hot enough still for that not to matter. Also, the tide goes very far out each day so beach swimming is difficult. Their two pools are marvelous, however. Clean with one by the dining area and one an infinity overlooking the beach. 15 minute walk down the beach to town with some eating and drinking options. Only downside is the town fills up with hookers after dinner time. Lots of them.

Good hotel in Nosy Be

Great pool and food!

Great place.

I really liked L'heur Blue. Firstly, the food was great. Really tasty. Secondly, he staff were friendly, attentive and flexible. One of the nightmares of travelling to Madagascar is the unpredictability of Air Madagascar. Flights are often changed with little or no notice - some times delayed and some times advanced. It is a nightmare especially when it means connections are missed. But the staff at L'heaur blue maintain calm, get good information on flight details and are flexible on check in check out times that are thrown in a mess by he airline. My only real down point is he lack of wifi in the rooms although it is in the common areas.

15 Days at L'Heure Bleue

We absolutely had a ball. The weather was beautiful and the sky was blue. We stayed there for 15 days and loved Nosy Be. The location of the hotel was fine with easy access to many restaurants and the beach. The staff was very friendly and the landscaping was beautiful. The only complaint I had was the food which is very French. I am from Texas and I like good tasting food not pretty food that does not taste good. We solved that problem by eating at another place down the beach. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Excellent hôtel! Je recommande à mille pour-cent. Personnel compétant, chambre propre, variété de plat chaque jour. Avec ma mamy nous avons passé un excellent séjour. La vue est très jolie et l’hôtel magnifique.

Superbe vue sur la mer

Superbe endroit pour quelques jours de farniente sur l'île de Nosy Bé. La vue depuis les bungalows est magnifique et le personnel est aux petits soins.

Avons passés plusieurs nuits dans cet établissement. Absolument parfait, que cela soit au niveau des prestations d’hôtellerie que des prestations culinaires. Sommes restés suffisamment longtemps, pour goûter à tous les plats de la carte, ainsi que les menus du jour. Absolument parfait! A conseiller sans problème.

Personnels très accueillant, toujours souriant et à votre écoute. L’hotel est situé en bout de plage et les bungalows sont confortables. La restauration est variée avec un menu gastronomique quotidien.

Etablissement soigné avec du personnel aux petits soins avec la clientèle. Attention de la part du directeur envers ses clients ( prise de contact- discutions -bons rapports ). Cuisine soignée et site hors du commun. A conseiller pour se ressourcer et prendre plein les yeux...

ottima struttura, posizione molto buona, personale molto gentile in particolar modo i ragazzi della sicurezza molto disponibili e premurosi. hotel curato nei particolari e pulito ma in pieno stile africano. ristorante molto buono anche se più caro dei ristoranti nelle vicinanze. consiglio sicuramente questa struttura. unica pecca il mare che non è eccellente ma avendo girato tutta l'isola di molto meglio non ne abbiamo visto. un saluto a tutto lo staff dell' herue blue. a presto simone e giada

Cadre magnifique

Dans un cadre magnifique, cet hôtel à un plus réel, c'est la qualité de son restaurant. Une cadre magnifique, des personnels à l'écoute du client, la beauté de la baie de Madirokely complètent la qualité du restaurant de l’hôtel. Les bungalows sont confortable mais manquent d'un peu de rangement et de prises électrique. Hormis ces petits détails tout y est parfait.

Bel hôtel, bon service et impeccable

Magnifique hôtel moderne et bien entretenu, 1 piscine eau salé, 1 eau traité, jolie terrasse, chambre lodge splendide ( et plus chère ) Service de bonne qualité pour Madagascar... Hélas nous avons du partir 1 journée plus tôt à cause d'air Madagascar ( compagnie désastreuse qui ferait vraiment mieux de fermer !! ) qui a avancé arbitrairement notre vol et donc nous avons perdu 2 x lodge x1 nuit ... soit 500 euros sans remboursement soyez prudents avec Air Mada ...

Hôtel au meilleur rapport qualité/ prix de Nosy Be

Un super hôtel à l'excellent rapport qualité/prix ! Le gérant - français - est adorable et aux petits soins pour ses hôtes. La cuisine du restaurant est délicieuse. Les 2 piscines (d'eau douce et d'eau de mer à débordement) sont magiques et accessibles 24h/24. Le site, au bout de l'anse d'Ambatuluk, est magnifique et offre des couchers de soleil inoubliables. Bref le rêve les pieds dans l'eau turquoise et et chaude de Nosy Be !

l'hôtel offre une magnifique vue sur la baie et le fait qu'il soit un peu retiré c'est calme donc très reposant et j'ai beaucoup apprécié le cadre verdoyant

Vi bodde på dette hotellet i 12 dager, og det er det beste hotellet jeg har bodd på noen gang. Først hadde vi en vanlig bungalow mot havet, men vi oppgraderte til en Deluxe bungalow/hytte mot havet. Den var veldig fin og det var rent og pent hele tiden. På kveldene tente de myggspiral og et led-lys enten inne eller på balkongen vår. Maten på hotellet var av ypperste kvalitet. Vi spiste her under hele oppholdet(mye fordi det var trygt og godt). Frokosten bestod av fersk frukt og juice hver dag, te/kaffe, brød med forskjellige syltetøy og pannekake eller egg. Det var også en egen lunsjmeny på dagen og en middagsmeny på kveldstid. Skikkelig god og bra mat. Personalet er helt fantastiske og stiller opp med alt. Utflukter osv. Ikke alle kan engelsk, men vi klarte å forstå hverandre. Manageren var veldig hyggelig og snakket engelsk. Han møtte oss da vi ankom, viste oss hvor vi skulle bo og veiledet oss gjennom hele ferien slik at vi fikk sett alt vi ville se i og rundt øya. Vi oppholdt oss mest på hotellet da vi ikke fant så mye restauranter osv i nærområdet. Sola blir borte rundt klokka to om formiddagen pga høyden/fjellet ved siden av hotellet, men det bryr ikke vi oss noe om. Det er strand ved siden av med mer sol. Det var trist å reise herifra og jeg kommer gjerne tilbake!!! Tusen takk til alle på hotellet.

Vacances parfaites

Hotel très bien situé dans Nossy Be (très utile pour départs en excursion en mer). Deux jolies piscines, un peu ombragées mais agréables. Personnel très aimable et serviable. Restaurant: bon rapport qualité prix. Bengalow confortable (conseil: prendre vue sur mer au début de l'allée près du poste de garde car accès direct sur la plage)

отель очень приятный, небольшой, спокойный и камерный. удобные бунгало прямо на берегу, только если хотите купаться в море, учитывайте приливы-отливы. мы были на растущую луну, и море к нам "приходило" после 16.00 до 21.00, и с утра до 9 утра, а дальше мощный отлив. хорошо, что в отеле 2 бассейна, иначе только бы ночными купаниями все ограничилось. бар в отеле достойный - коктейли делают неплохо. был небольшой инцидент с кухней - на ужин была ОЧЕНЬ пересоленая свинина. так, что у мужа желудок разболелся. попытка решить проблему с официантом не увенчалась успехом - он вдруг напрочь перестал понимать по-английски, "послав" нас к менеджеру утром разбираться. разобрались - за ужин и коктейли с нас деньги брать не стали. еще неприятный момент случился при выезде - на ресепшен нам долго не могли посчитать, сколько же мы должны за мини-бар. накануне официант из бара притащил нам счет, сказал, что за мини-бар за несколько дней, мы счет оплатили, и были в полном недоумении, когда на check out с нас потребовали заплатить еще раз за пиво-воду. попытки объяснить, что с нас уже денег взяли, не увенчались успехом - типа "за мини-бар платят на ресепшен, а официант с вас деньги взял за то, что вы выпили в баре". сумма была несмертельная, такси в аэропорт стояло под парами, деньги мы заплатили, но осадок остался.
