I arrived the property which is right off the road, not gated and looks like someone's house in a compound. Noticed lights were flickering, when i asked the lady who was really nice what is going on? She said they have had low voltage and it should be good in a short while. So i went upstairs, noticed the window which backed to bushes was open to let air into the room, the concept was nice but room smelled musty. Also noticed that there were other guests in the hotel, so i decided to go into town to explore and eat dinner before i can retreat back to my room. Open return at bout 10pm, i found the entire compound dark, when i guy noticed me driving in, came out of the small building to yhe side with a flash light, opened the door to the "hotel" and said we shouldn't worry it is safe and he will sleep in the car infront and i will be safe. He handed me the flash light to go to my room, when i immediately thought this is not safe and i don't care how much it costs me, I'd rather go pay somewhere else and have a comfortable night. This was my first time to Kribi and almost everything else was booked, but this was definitely a nightmare. I'd advise others pay the high price for your comfort and safety and book earlyas Kribi is a very popular weekend destination.
