Disappointed
It was okay, a few problems, with room not being ready, plus told i would get a room with a view, but never happened ,given a complimentary bottle of wine ,instead .Even though I had upgraded to a late checkout, staff pestered, for us to leave from 11.00 am ,but overall the staff in bar ,restaurants and spar were very helpful and friendly.
Best location for views
This is my second time here and it was fabulous again. Request for a tower view room was met and got a complimentary bottle of wine to enjoy with the view. Arnel at breakfast was great
Hotel it right next to Tower Hill station, so getting around on london metro was incredibly easy. 5 min walk from tower of london/tower bridge. The breakfast buffet was absolutely amazing, I actually looked forward to it everyday. My wife and I have already agreed that Leonardo Royal Hotel London City will be our go to spot to stay next time we’re in London. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a nice, ritzy but not too ritzy hotel.
The location was great, the staff was friendly. Our room was dirty when we arrived- stains on sheets, dirty mirrors and windows. We cleaned the room before settling in. The air conditioning also didn’t have an option to run a fan all night and the windows did not open. There are no dresser's and we kept our clothes in our suitcases
Good location.Convenient get to attractions
Great room and location.
Dated!
Our room qas very cold, bathroom dated amd even more cold. The receptionist (a man) seemed to be very unhappy with his job, did not make us feel welcome. When asked about breakfast he told me to wait with questions until he is finished with activating our room cards. Ao we just stood there for a few minutes in an awquard silence. No, I will not recommend this place to anyone!
Fabulous view! Great Room with comfy beds
Just had a fabulous night at the Leonardo Royal City. Room was a great size. 2 very comfortable Queen size beds. Nespresso coffee machine with 4 pods.2 x Toothbrushes and toothpaste, shower caps, shaving kits, handwash and body lotion all supplied in bathroom. Tea coffee, biscuits in cupboard with kettle. 2 bottles of sparkling and still water. Breakfast was nice. Bar staff very attentive. The only thing that let this hotel down was large queue at checkin (although they did supply classes of wine while waiting). I was told our room would be another 15-20 to be ready. Was told they would find us in bar when room was ready. Waited 2hrs in the end. So that was a little bit of a let down. Once in room though it was definitely worth the wait.
Happy family stay!
Great stay, welcoming staff, well placed for site seeing. Great breakfast! 🙂
Location!
Very good affordable option for London.
Huge room. No noise from the trains. Very comfortable beds. Friendly staff.
A little disappointed
The bathroom in our room was very dated and the plug didn’t work in the bath which was frustrating given we stayed with two children. There was no child menu for room service and the kids were not allowed to swim until 8pm at night (we arrived after the 4.30pm deadline) which is ridiculous timing for children - be much better suited for adults only at this time. Disappointing as have stayed before with my daughter and the service and was amazing - nothing was too much trouble but sadly this trip didn’t live up to the same standards
Check in staff were very unprofessional &. Unfriendly. Instead of handing my mother the receipt, the woman literally threw the receipt onto the desk. It made the welcoming experience very uneasy. Would not recommend staying here. Room was basic also, looked nothing like what was advertised on Expedia.
Great stay
Quality comfort and great welcome!
Great service and friendly welcome from the Team. Super comfortable beds!
It was a nice ambiance
Great stay. Clean rooms and friendly staff
Valentine date
Reception staff were fantastic
The perfect London night away!
Me, my husband and two children under two had such a wonderful stay at this hotel. We stayed for my 30th birthday weekend. The staff went above and beyond. From the moment we entered to the moment we left they were so kind and accommodating. The location was perfect and we had the most perfect view of the tower bridge and the Shard. Breakfast was lovely too with enough variety. I hope we can stay again sometime.
The location of property is good. The hotel is in poor condition. Our group had 2 rooms during our stay. The room walls were not soundproofed but repurposed meeting room paritions that have been stuck together (they even had office partition labels still on it) so you can hear every noise and look awful. The rooms were not cosy as pictured. The bathrooms are flaking and out of date/mouldy. The sink leaked and the toilet made a lot of noise (air lock). Spoke to staff who moved us- stating yes some rooms have real walls, we will move you to one and fix those issues for the next guests. Interestingly as some of our group were next to that room they could hear it was not fixed and the hotel just put others into it in the hope they wouldnt complain. The 2nd room was better however the bathroom again dated, flaking and not what you would expect. Its a shame as we have always enjoyed leonardo but twice now in different locations we are seeing their maintenance standards slip and so we would not recommend staying with them.
Mixed feelings
Booked a superior king for 2 nights but have to admit, I was disappointed in the room we were given. Top floor connecting room, next to the lift and view overlooking the Tower Bridge train station so it was quite noisy. The shower was quite dated and the water lacked any real temperature so kept them short. I booked because everyone raved about the views and given how much time I spent looking for a hotel in London, this one sadly didnt match my expectations. Having said that, the room itself was spacious and the bed was comfy. Enjoyed the breakfast, lots of variety and the staff were very polite. The hotel was close to tube and The Tower of London so location was good, but be careful cause Leonardo Hotels have a sister hotel just round the corner and the two were confused on arrival to London.
I spent the weekend break here and enjoyed everything ranging from the hospitality shown by the staff to the excellent spa, swimming and gym facilities. Check in and out was swift and the rooms were immaculate.
London Central
Central location, tube 2mins walk away, great for families, lovely staff and clean. Good food too
A cold stay in January
We had a bad experience with the heating not working for my 77 year old mother-in-law. She tried to arrange help and said how cold it was, but it was late and she was tired so after a while she decided to just try and sleep (this was accepted by staff and the engineer cancelled so no one came). Her own clock showed 13 degrees so she barely slept. In our room (330), there was no cold water in the morning for showers, but this was minor in comparison. We were refunded half the payment for the cold room, but to be honest this didn't make up for it as it overshadowed the whole weekend away. We thought it was unacceptable for an elderly person to pay to sleep in such a cold room at all. We received an apology for the night in the cold room, but it was frustrating that we were told three times that it was up to us to speak to the manager at the time for a resolution. I feel reception could have helped with suggesting speaking to the manager if it is such a priority for the hotel, and with such an elderly guest. And after the event, this felt unhelpful as a response. I'm still not sure why reception cancelled help and allowed her to try and sleep in such a cold room after her second call to say she was very tired.
Amazing
Amazing stay staff fantastic best breakfast I have ever had .room lovely beds comfy . Bathroom sinks do not empty for a long time
Very convenient for transport. Lovely location. Lovely accommodation. Will definitely return.
Overall a lovely friendly efficient hotel…amazing breakfast Parfect position for our sightseeing
Excellent buffet breakfast and very friendly staff. It is not located in central London however it is near the train station and walkable to most restaurants.
Really enjoyed the pool
Fantastic location! 1 minute walk from the tube station and opposite the Tower of London. Excellent range of restaurants and bars nearby. Friendly staff and excellent sized rooms.
Excellent staff… let down by things not working in the room such as the mini bar
Amazing stay
Absolutely amazing stay from start to finish, every staff member we interacted with was amazing and they couldn’t have done more. Room and facilities were fab, the hotel interior was outstanding and we will 100% be back, everything was so fabulous. Highly recommend, great location too and the breakfast was top tier!
Very good placement near the tower bridge, near the tube station . Our room was above a train station which was not very convenient. The cleaning staff were talking Arabic Sunday mornig at 8 am when people usually try to have a rest. The pool had adult times and children times but they were not respected . Very limited seating. We did receive a free bottle of wine to make it up but overall besides the placement I would not return
located next to tower station. small room but nicely appointed. great bar and restaurant, and cafe next door. centrally located and many options for eating. walkable between 2 tube stations.
.
Quiet area. Rooms were nice and clean.
Fabulous location, amazing food and incredibly helpful staff
Fantastic hotel! Our only complaint was the elevator next to our room and neighboring construction was very loud. Other than that, everything was great!
We didn’t know where to stay as being a first timers in London and we’re glad we chose Leonardo Hotel Towe Bridge. It exceeded our expectation. Breakfast was good. Arnel the waiter was really hospitable and friendly. Front desk and other hotel staffs were accomodating and friendly as well. Location is great. Family friendly hotel. Comfortable sleep.
Great hotel
Great hotel & staff were so lovely. Check in was quick & the receptionist gave us an amazing room with great views- exactly as requested. The hotel has a great location close to Towel Hill tube station- 2 minutes from Tower Bridge. Spa was lovely but j would say the jacuzzi us on the small side & the spa area got very busy. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. Arnel was especially a great staff member, making the start of my birthday a really happy one.
Great hotel! Location is great, really close to train station
Great location. The other side of town from the super busy area around Westminster Abby and Buckingham palace but still near plenty of attractions. Upgraded to the room without tower view and it was well worth it.
Leonardo Royal Hotel London City - Tower of London was perfect for our family of 4 Christmas vacation! The location was a quick walk to the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, underground station, as well as the bus stop for city and hop on/off buses. Room was very nice, spacious, and clean. Buffet breakfast was amazing with full English breakfast options, omelette bar, cereals, cheese and cold cuts, bread station, and so much more! The indoor heated swimming pool and steam and sauna rooms were an added bonus! We would definitely stay here again!
Had a great staycation
The hotel is lovely, a little far from main attractions but you can reach those by boat or by taxi. It is a lovely property with amazing amenities and great staff.
Stains on the sofa. Room was also dusty
Great hotel in an excellent location. Staff were very friendly especially Negin on reception. The pool and leisure facilities are great. Will definitely stay again.
AMAZING
we loved this hotel. the staff was incredible. the lobby was great and the rooms were clean and spacious. the breakfast buffet was an absolute hit.
Avoid
I am writing to share a disappointing experience I recently had at a hotel that I believe highlights a significant lack of customer service and professionalism. During my stay, I encountered the following issues: - At check-in, the staff ignored me as they continued personal conversations, delaying my acknowledgment. - The room service menu was misleading, as the food served did not match the descriptions provided. - When I requested water during the night to take my medication, I was informed I would need to pay for it, including a room service charge. - The morning of checkout, I had to call an ambulance due to a medical emergency. Despite informing the reception, the room phone rang incessantly while the paramedics were conducting an ECG. The staff insisted on discussing late checkout, even after I explained the situation. - Post-checkout, I attempted to address these concerns with the manager, who dismissed my complaints and denied receiving prior emails, even when I presented evidence. These incidents suggest a systemic issue with the hotel's customer service and staff training. Such behaviou is not only unprofessional but also inconsiderate, particularly during a medical emergency. I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel and considering other options in the area that prioritize customer care and uphold basic hospitality standards. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I felt it was important to bring attention to this matter.
Lovely hotel in a great location with comfortable, spacious rooms. Breakfast was amazing!
Hotel is clean, relaxing and friendly staffs. Walking distance from tower bridge and next to a train station.
We stayed in the executive suit great views specially on new year defiantly recommend for a weekend away
Avoid hot tub unless you want damaged eyes!
We booked a romantic New Year’s stay and spa, but unfortunately, we were let down by young children who were loud and disruptive. On January 1, 2025, at around 9 or 10 a.m., we noticed the children accessing the hot tub despite being repeatedly told to leave by staff. On New Year’s Day, the air conditioning in our room was not working, so I had to call reception. It took over two hours, and I had to make a second call to request a manager to come and fix the issue. The spa itself was pleasant, but the Jacuzzi and hot tubs had excessively high chlorine levels. This caused my wife and my eyes to burn from the fumes, and several other guests had to leave the hot tub due to the burning sensation. As a result, our eyes are still sore today from the constant burning. Whilst we would love to stay again, the experience of the lack of spa management, high chlorine levels, has left a dissatistifed experience.
Louise and Stuart
Stay was really good and location was excellent. Found the mattress and pillows a little hard so didn’t sleep very well but the room itself was really lovely. Wasn’t concerned about the view as didn’t spend anytime in the hotel during the day.
Great location and great view of you are lucky
Excellent location and we had a fantastic view from our room (918), great breakfast, swimming pool etc was really good, only fault was the pillows are rock hard and I didn’t sleep at all the 1st night but I did ask for softer pillows and they were delivered and were great.
Amazing hotel and spa, breakfast was fantastic the only thing I would say puts it down is the dated bathrooms in room for the price you pay I’d expect about more of a luxury bathroom felt abit dated and low budget and the lifts take a long time but did actually really enjoy the stay
Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Comfortable bed. A/C worked
Not great - you can do much better!
Very average. Paid a small fortune to stay her over the Xmas week, and very disappointed. The good points: comfy bed, good shower, good breakfast, close to the tube & railway station The bad points: Leo’s restaurant food is awful - give it a miss. Soup from the kids menu was vile, fish “goujons” tasted like sawdust, club sandwich was awful & service was pretty crappy as well. Aircon in the room just blowing out hot air, so room was way too hot. Asked for adjoining rooms but they couldn’t/wouldn’t do them (even tho advertised); lifts are painfully slow and super busy;
Fabulous hotel, great location, amazing breakfast and suited our family of 4 just right.
Would recommend.
Second stay for us. Great again. Only issue is the elevators can be a bit if a wait, but stairs work just fine. Pool, steam, and sauna are a nice extra. Would recommend.
..
Beautiful London
Really nice hotel close to main attractions and next to the metro station. Very convenient. Large rooms and great service.
It has to be your option one
Hotel was amazing!! Super close to the subway station literally couple of ft away. Also it’s like 8-10 mins walking to London Bridge. The area around the hotel is nice ohhhh and late late at night there’s room service me & my husband enjoyed the Leo’s restaurant- ALL staff was really nice -I loved to go to London in December
Just amazing!!!
Good place and location good pool and spa area Wonderful water and tea little perks provided by the hotel
Great location
Great location, pool was lovely and good service. We did not eat or drink in the hotel. The room was a good size with 2 queen beds, noisy corridor doors tho.
Great stay and location close to amenities and getting around
Had a fabulous stay, all perfect.
Great location
Great location
Just great
Great service, kind staff and wonderful spacious rooms
Pros- nice spacious room. Nice area. Walkable to Tower of London and Tower bridge. Super close to train station. Very good breakfast buffet. Cons- staff can use a little more customer service training. Example- responding when you say Good morning a couple different times. First night we had issues with heater and it took 3 hours and 3 calls to get someone to go check. Concierge could be a little more knowledgeable.
I love the location and the room was ideal for our group. Will definitely stay here again .
10/10 recommend this hotel. Absolutely beautiful, friendly staff, prime location, and the amenities are so nice. The rooms are a great size as well. Best hotel I’ve ever stayed at, will stay there again when I am back in London. Decorated beautifully for the holidays as well!❤️ Short walk to my favorite bridge in the world, Tower Bridge. If you are traveling and looking for something cozy, quaint and in downtown London— book here!
Yay at parts and ermm at parts
I recently stayed at the Leonardo Royal Hotel London City - Tower of London, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The breakfast was definitely a highlight – there was a great selection of fresh and tasty options that catered to various preferences. The bed was also very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. However, I did find the bathroom a bit underwhelming. It felt smaller than what I’ve experienced at other hotels in this category, and some of the fixtures could use an update to match the rest of the hotel’s standard. Despite this, the convenient location and the great breakfast made the stay worthwhile. I’d recommend it, especially for short visits or those focusing on exploring the city.
Cold room....
Room activator for card hanging off wall, extractor in bathroom damaged, room cold, despite adjusting temp controller this had no effect. temp controller stopped working after first night. Reported to reception and controller was working on return but still didn't alter room temperature. Bed was great as was shower pressure and temp, spa area lovely, one of nicest I've been too. Shame we had to wear a jumper in our room otherwise would recommend hotel....
Close to Underground, great location, safe
Large rooms . Excellent breakfast. excellent service cannot fault in any way possible.great location.
Hotel a few doors down from Tower Hill tube station and a few minutes from Tower bridge. Breakfast excellent and wine and coffee available in reception for quests,a nice touch.
Great location, clean, comfy beds!
The hotel is generally nice, with a pleasant atmosphere and an excellent location. It's centrally located, with easy access to trains and buses, making it very convenient. The area is safe, and most of the staff were friendly and attentive. However, there are a few areas that need improvement. While the housekeeping made an effort to tidy the beds and change the towels, I noticed that the bathroom wasn't properly cleaned, which was a bit disappointing as I expected a more thorough cleaning. As for the breakfast, it wasn't bad, but the menu was very repetitive, making it a bit boring after a few days. Additionally, I was surprised there wasn't a clear dress code communicated for the breakfast area. Some guests were asked to change if they weren't dressed appropriately, but it would have been helpful if the hotel had informed us of these rules in advance. Overall, my experience was good but not excellent. If they update the rooms a bit, improve the cleaning service, and communicate hotel rules more clearly, they could really enhance the guest experience.
Not bad but not the best
My wife and I stayed here on the final leg of our honeymoon. The service was good however the room amenities were a little dated. WiFi speed in both the room and hotel was fast.
Good location nice friendly staff, comfortable beds & good powerful hot shower. Clean room & lovely full English breakfast
It' centrical and perfect to walk around.
Had some problems with our air conditioning but the staff was extremely helpful in sorting.
Very nice
Easy check-in. Left bags with concierge for the day. Lovely pool. Nice room with a great view of Tower Bridge. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. This is the second Leonardo hotel we have stayed, and we would definitely stay again.
Location is perfect for Tower of London Hotel is clean. Staff not very friendly. We were not greeted when we walked in. Wasn't given direction on where the elevators are located. There are steps to go up to the elevator level from the check in area which was very inconvenience with large luggage. we were not told that there would be parties going on with loud music. We were on the 4th floor and the music didn't stop til 1 am. It is near the London Underground station but I would not stay here again.
We stayed here last minute after having a terrible experience at a previous hotel. They were very accommodating, took our bags to our room, and had answers to every question we asked. Being right next to Tower Hill station is a huge plus! We were able to see so much of London in a day thanks to the recommendations from the concierge. If we're ever in London again, we WILL be staying here!
Breakfast saved this place
The breakfast was AMAZING! The room were hot. Could not adjust the temperature. When we ordered room service we did not get all of our order and our minor child was told to go to the bar to get the rest of our order. Was not impressed.
Nice hotel
It was a good stay we was on the 3rd floor and was woken by the street cleaner and also once in tbe night by someone knocking on there door The breakfast was nice Bathroom room was a little outdated and could use an upgrade Tv was amazing to be able to put Netflix on we have stayed in some 5 star hotels that you cant do that in Pool area was nice never seem an aromatherapy room before hot tub was a warm tub Would definitely choose to stay again
We showed up early and paid for an ewrly check-in. The guy at the check-in desk was very polite, professional, and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. It's in a great location as well. The pool and spa area is very nice. I would absolutely stay there again.
.
One night stay
Comfortable bed in good size room. Plenty of storage. Friendly staff and close to underground station.
Nice hotel
Stayed for a function. Everything was great. Staff very helpful when we had been overcharged in error for a round of drinks
Family trip
Lovely big room, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was dated and could have benefited from a renovation. Guest services weee very helpful when I forgot some items.
Great hotel and staff! Stayed here on a number of occasions and always great.
😊
Great comfortable stay in a great location for our quick overnight in London. Short walk to the Tower of London! Highly recommend.

Our stay was excellent. The executive room was super and clean, the beds and furniture were great. The staff were friendly and happy The food was amazing with the best breakfast options I have had in along time. The gym, pool and spa facilities were also amazing a lovely to use.
