Great hotel Senior member of staff not helpful asked for copy invoice to be printed like normally do he wasn’t helpful at all
Good stay
Great staff. Very friendly
Easy parking friendly staff clean good food.
Another good stay
Very efficient and helpful front desk staff
Great hotel
Lovely swimming pool, delicious breakfast and comfy beds!
Lovely staff..great customer service
It is a good property to stay if you have your own vehicle. The buses does not operate on time, which makes it difficult to travel. There is no Uber. You can book a taxi through the hotel receptionist and to go to city centre it costed around £9. City centre is just 8 mins drive from this hotel. The room was good and comfy. Limited breakfast options. The front house staff was not very friendly. The staffs in the dining area was very friendly and welcoming. You could choose this hotel only if you have your own vehicle.
Room for improvement
Two rooms in a row were not ready. The beds had been moved but not put back. Manager said food on the House in the evening but did not The pool was excellent. The gym missing gear
Noisy
Stayed overnight. Hotels fine enough, however, there was a Christmas party on that foot into full WWII m swing with loud base about midnight so couldn’t sleep. Feel the hotel should be more geared towards guests at night than a function. Would’ve been nice to have been warned and put in a room far away from the function
Comfortable and good for a short trip
The room was clean and comfortable and the restaurant food and service really good. The hotel itself has a tired look to it, the bathroom badly needs redecorating, it was very dated. The original wood and all the walls have been painted a very drab grey and the corridor carpet is threadbare in places.
Dirty room
I booked 2 rooms my room 308 was spotless clean , sadly my daughters room 310 was filthy The room did not look as if it had been cleaned from previous guests , bath was dirty half eaten sweet wrapped in a sticky plaster on the floor , bed sheet had a stain on it , waste paper bin full rubbish
Highlander
Excellent parking, friendly, helpful staff (special thanks to Hamish on reception for finding me an alternative room) Quiet and very good for access to the city centre. Standard hotel catering. Comfy and warm room.
Great balance - relax/ swim.
We really enjoyed our stay, staff were helpful and it suited us well- the pool was particular well organised and friendly. I had a few sessions in the gym and learned a lot.
It was a pleasant stay with friendly staff.
Can’t fault this place
Fantastic value for money. Great spa. Right outside a bus stop to quickly get into the city center.
Great place with cheap prices and friendly staff
Very good
Very cold outside but heating was excellent, bed very comfortable too
Last minute
A last minute booking for a night away as a family of 3. Hotel was nice, friendly staff, lovely facilities. Some staining on bedding and towels, they were fresh items, but some dried up stains. It was hard to regulate temperature in room, radiator was adjustable, and window very limited opening.
Basic room, clean and comfortable. View was underwhelming. Mini fridge didn’t work. Comfortable beds
Hotel was in a good location. A little away from the central part. Good parking. Facilities and staff were good
Happy Highlander
All round good. Easy access to the city. Easy parking, friendly and welcoming staff. A good range of choices for dinner and breakfast. Recommended.
The room’s sockets were iffy, the bathroom had only a front of an extractor and there was signs of black mould and delaminating. When it was Thistle and then Jury’s it was clean. We did get a room change but this hotel is not worth the money.
Excellent Hotel and Location near for Bus and Train and Airport and Shops People who Work here are outstanding Thank You and Room and Zleisure Fascilities and Food are amazing. It is CV lean and warm and quite and welcoming.Stayed extra Nights and have recommended to Others and would recommend to Others.

Staff were great but the outside looks a bit tired.
Hi as guest complete he didnt get breakfast and drinking water please let me exact distance from city of this hotel
Unfortunately we don’t have very many positives about our stay here. - Reception staff had no life about them. When we checked out there was no “Good Morning, how was your stay?”, to busy working on the computer with a quick “thank you” as we dropped the keys in the box. - breakfast is not worth £13. The coffee was undrinkable, the bread section everything was stale, there were dirty dishes on tables that should’ve been cleared as you entered and it was only 6:50am (they were still there when we left 30 mins later. There was only one waitress on and the majority of table didn’t have forks. - the bar only had one till so you needed to wait a while to order. The bottles behind the bar could do with a good dusting as it didn’t entice us to order a drink. The staff seemed quite new in this area but they were pleasant and helpful. - the room was stifling hot even though we turned the radiator off and had the window open. We really struggled to close it so it was safer to leave it open. We could hear the room next to us also struggling to close their window. The radiator ticked constantly to the point we struggled to sleep. Black out curtains are great but it would be better if they were closer to the wall to prevent daylight pouring in at the sides. - the bathroom could do with a proper extractor fan as all the steam is ruining the paintwork, it’s peeling off the ceiling and the door is in need of being replaced.
Only slight disappointment was the bar calling last orders at 9:50pm and closing at 10pm
Clean, tidy but away from city centre. Good access and ample car parking.
Was really busy with coach trips while i was there but staff were great
No room service available
The room was standard hotel like, but very comfortable bed, with nice bathroom. The restaurant was good too. Very helpful staff!
A night in Inverness
This hotel was rated as a 4 star. I cannot understand that. The Leonardo hotel in Inverness was 2-3 star basic institutional hotel at best. It had no exterior appeal and no interior charm. It was a 25-30 minute soul-less walk into the town centre on a very busy road. The room was tiny. No air conditioning. The shower was very good with large fluffy towels. The breakfast was passable but there was no fruit at all. I've stayed in a Leonardo hotel before, never this disappointing. My recommendation is to not book a room here. I wish I could be more positive.
Hot rooms, no AC. Lying staff. 5/10 bfast.
The room was too warm. To avoid bugs I kept the window closed, but left the random desk fan by the window running. At 2am the creakiest room I've ever stayed in began ticking and creaking like mad, they'd turned the heating on. It's already hot, why wouldnt you up it a bit further. The room became an unbearable fan assisted oven. With no choice but to open the window, curtains and leave the fan running, it took a suprisingly long time to get back to sleep, despite the comforting sounds of constant arctic trucks on the main road and hourly trains speeding by on railway just outside. At 3am I went down in the hopes I just had a bad room and could move, but of course they were fully booked (despite many rooms still available online), but it doesnt matter because reception assured me every room has the same pipes around the skirting boards that get boiling hot (a colleague staying at the hotel proved otherwise). Apart from the room being unclean, the coffees not being replaced, the staff lying to avoid serving guests... the bfast was pretty good.
Bed was comfortable, and room was clean, unfortunately the noise from the plumbing reduced our experience, possible airlock in the system, but loud whenever either we used the facilities or people in the adjacent tooms. Only one lift worked. Breakfast items were tasty enough but could have been hotter, slow to refresh supplies. But staff all very pleasent.
A very good location, 15 minute bus ride to the centre. Extremely noisy and dusty. Staff were very friendly and polite. However, I would not return.
The hotel was clean, staff were friendly but we visited at a busy time and only 1 lift was operating that barely fits 3-4 people so we ended up using the stairs to access our room on the 4th floor constantly throughout our 2night stay. Minimum wait time on the elevator in busy times was 15mins!
The hotel staff are lovely but the rooms and swimming facilities need significant updating. The bathroom is full of mould and the room walls were very marked
Property seen better days. It’s in need of overhaul.
No AC but Comfortable
Good for a quick 2 night stay.
Could not stay in the room offered because of paint smell. Staff were great at trying to accommodate alternatives which was greatly appreciated
Disappointed with the breakfast. Typical English breakfast, not at all similar to what you would expect in Inverness from a hotel for this price.
Hotel looked nothing like the pictures. Terrible rooms, terrible bathrooms and extremely noisy in the night. Lot of other good options available. Skip this one
During my recent stay at the Leonardo, I encountered several issues that significantly affected my experience. While the concierge staff was consistently helpful, the lack of air conditioning made the building unbearably hot and muggy. The windows barely opened, and there were no top sheets for the bedding. Additionally, there was no screen protector on the windows, so we had to keep the lights off at night to prevent bugs from entering the room. Furthermore, there was no ice machine, and even the cleaning staff had to use fans to cool down due to the heat. The bathroom also had its share of problems, including a crooked toilet seat that couldn't be fixed, a soap regulator that limited the amount dispensed, scalding hot water from the tap, and a shower head that couldn't be removed from the wall. One other important thing to mention is the location. This hotel is located outside the city, so to reach the city center, you can expect a 30-minute walk or a £10 taxi ride, which may require some waiting. The view from the hotel was also terrible. To top it off, the pillows were uncomfortably stiff, and when we requested new pillows, we were informed that there were no additional pillows available. Additionally, the bed wheels were not locked, which caused inconvenience. Overall, these issues made my stay at the Leonardo less than satisfactory.
Hotel a bit run down Not a great selection for evening meals and what there was was poor fair We had to move room as when we went to bed and turned down sheets the bed sheet and mattress were soaking. It took over 1/2 hour to get a new room sorted. Key card faild every second time and had to spend ages at reception each time to get it reset. Spa facilities - these were good however 1. staff did not enforce rules especially in relation to the hottub where families with very young children monopolised it 2. Steam room was excessively hot 3. Sauna was cool On a positive note the breakfast selection was excellent..... for meat eaters ....unfortunately, my wife is vegetarian.
Shower had mold in it. Stains on the carpet. Beds were uncomfortable.
Nice place to stay.
The hotel was great, the room was comfortable and well decorated. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Inverness was a 15-20 minute walk down one road, so easy to head into town for food etc. There is also a bus stop close to the hotel if you'd prefer to get the bus. The only downsides were that we didn't think the room was cleaned properly as the wardrobe had other people's clothes in it and the carpet quite stained.
The property needs some updating for sure. We had a dirty room, late check in, our keys stopped working, we were given vouchers at for the bar and they weren’t used as promised and the service started off horribly, we requested late check out and were woken by room cleaning. The staff were friendly and helped but it was issue after issue which made the visit less than comfortable and definitely not worth the money.
It was an older facility, staff were not very helpful at times.
Great hotel. Clean and central. Solid choice.
Good Hotel & Gym
Nice hotel, friendly staff although rooms could do with being modernised .
Tried hotel
The hotel is need of some attention wallpaper peeling off marks on walls Breakfast down for 7 No eggs not of anything else no staff around just had coffee and left.
A reaosonable and secure visit
This is a perfectly reasonable hotel. Customer service was in general tip top. Very clean, very secure. Inverness itself is not a very large city. You can see what there is to see in terms of historical buildings and good shopping in a day easy. Because the old town is so small, one is never too far away from the sketchy portions if you stay in old town. Our goal was to be out just a bit, but still walkable. This hotel was perfect for that. The rooms are a bit dated but are equipped with good, current TVs. I expect to visit Inverness again, and will plan to stay here again when I do.
Hotel very tired and in need of update. Room very hot, food took long time to arrive very basic poorly cooked. Hotel fine for a one night stay not any longer.
Short stay
Visit for a function in Inverness. Had food at the hotel both nights.2 girl bar staff were so helpful.
Limited dining bathroom had mildew issues and water damaga
Worth a stay
About a 10 min drive (or bus ride) from the City Centre, it's close enough without the cost. The staff was helpful, including bus info that stops within a minute walk & updating us on a part needed for the hot tub (fixed within 24 hrs). Lifts were small (holds 4-5 average people at most), but the hotel was clean with little wear & tear. Breakfast was varied with hot, cold, vegetarian & meat options. The only drawback was staffing. The (only) lady behind the bar in the evening was also handling the breakfast rush in the morning, with a few others helping.
Very nice! Hot tub and pool were a wonderful benefit! Helped and friendly Staff. Highly recommended
Pool and hot tub were great after exploring area. made sleeping great. friendly staff. Wonderful breakfast and dining
Great staff and excellent service! However, the building needs a serious refresh and air conditioning and proper vent fans added in the bathrooms. Our room was hot and couldn’t open the window enough to cool it down due to a safety latch. Without proper venting in the bathroom, you had to keep the door closed to keep steam from setting off the smoke alarm, and it was hot and steamy. Another room set off the alarm at 2 AM, and the whole hotel got woken up and evacuated. Then, we had to stand out in the parking lot until the fire department came and confirmed it was a false alarm. Not good.
My daughter became ill the during our stay in Scotland, and because of that I had to extend our stay in Glasgow. I thought I had made a reservation for the following night at the Leonardo in Inverness. When I arrived I realized that I had accidentally reserved the night for my extended stay at the Leonardo in Glasgow. They did not have any rooms available and would not refund my cost for the 2 rooms I reserved. Considering I was dealing with a very stressful situation with my daughter's illness I would have expected a refund considering that I still stayed with a Leonardo property in Glasgow. I'm out of pocket $530 and I'm not happy.
Hotel quite dated on the outside, but clearly been done up inside! Room was small but clean, the only issue was the ventilation in the bathroom does not work and with 3 people having showers made the room a very sticky place to be especially with 25degree heat outside also! Can tell this hasn’t been working for a while either cause a couple areas of mould on the ceilings! Bit of white vinegar will help for future! Otherwise a nice stay!
Highlander
Handy for access to the city centre. Good food choices inhouse. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent parking.
good base for work vist
We based ourselves here as a group of 9 cyclists for the Loch Ness Etape. It was perfect for all our needs
A good few nights but with room for improvement
Stayed 3 nights while working away. The initial service and welome was pleasant and appreciated. I had a few issues with my room in that there had been significant stains on the carpet left by a previous guest at multiple points in the room reducing my appreciation of the aesthetic. When I attempted to make myself a cup of tea the milk in the small tubs provided had turned sour. When I attempted to run a bath the hot/cold adjusting tap had been broken off and could only be operated with two hands working the underlying mechanism. I ate within the hotel each night and morning and cannot fault the food it was all very nice and the option to take a tray up to my room is appreciated when staying alone for work. That being said on the first night of the stay when ordering my meal I was given the offer for this to be taken up to my room which I appreciated and my meal was delivered with a smile. I only found out however on the second night when ordering that this option incurs a £6 charge. Needless to say I was happy to collect the following 2 nights however I was not happy I was charged for the delivery to my room on the first night without the cost for that service being explained in advance on the first evening. The only other suggestion I would make is if a guest takes the option to bring a meal to their room condiments are provided. I would have appreciated having the option of salt, pepper or sauce with any meal. Overall a good few nights sleep but room to improve.
Lots of free on site parking available.
Great stay well looked after
The staff on reception and in the bar grill. Where very helpful and lovely. The room 406 had vlean sheets and towels however the carpet had stains, sticky, not hoovered. Milk pots left on floor from previous guests. Windows dirty. Furnishings dirty and dusty. Walls could do with a redeesh. Bathroom floor dirty.
Road into hotel full of potholes. Staff miserable, unfriendly and lucky if they even look up and acknowledge you. Pillows just awful and stained carpet in rooms. Way overpriced for the terrible service and well outdated room.
The noise in the room was unbearable. In a room beside the elevator and you would have thought the elevator was in the room! Didn’t get a wink of sleep all night. Very income bed also.
Great for a simple get away
Lovely hotel with nice pool and restaurant. Room was a little tired, scuffed paint etc and the bathroom needs a upgrade but all clean and comfortable. Would definitely return. Restaurant was good and nice selection of food. Great pool with sauna etc. a bit out of town but lots of parking and handy bus every 10min
Grateful customer
Excellent customer service friendly staff comfortable room awesome spa facilities look forward to my next visit
Amenities
Hotel info states that the bar opens at 12 noon. I was there at 12, waited half an hour and the bar still hadn't opened. I asked at reception about the best and was told it wasn't open because the coffee machine was broken?!?!!! Also found my ensuite bathroom very grubby and dated.
Not the Leonardo that we expected!
Room really run down. Found part of a razor in the bathroom, paint chipped on walls, hole in wall. Stain/toothpaste on dressing table chair, stain and hole in carpet etc! Bed comfy tho and staff friendly at check-in
Nice friendly hotel with good facilities and good parking
Our stay was excellent and the place was excellent too.
comfort stop
relaxing comfortable awesome spa and pool
5 mins from city by bus very quiet area lovely staff and if you speak to Morgan at the bar tell her Jamie 25-26 feb said hi
A great and very convenient place to stay.
Nice shirt break. Staff were all lovely and worked hard. Close to town and Tesco, KFC chippy and Chinese across road. Pool was good fun but can be busy.
Disappointing!
On a positive note the staff were very pleasant and welcoming. However , sadly the room was tired and wasn’t clean. Around the taps on the bath had pink slime and black mould around hand rail, clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly in a long time also black mould on ceiling. Bottom of the bathroom door is damaged. Tissue holder on the wall hanging off and empty. Carpet not hoovered - dropped white towel on floor when picked up was covered in black fluff and hair. Really wish we had taken photos .
Clean and comfortable.
average stay
shocking room on the 1st night, bathroom floor was in pieces and sharp, immediately complained, we were promised we could move next day (and offered reduction for 1st night), 2nd room much better. Breakfast was great, evening meals average, spa facilities ok, floor super slippy without shoes on. reception staff promised to sort refund 3 times over our 4 night stay finally managing before we checked out. wait staff, evening and breakfast were lovely
Nice hotel rooms, good value, and having the pool and spa facilities very helpful. Note that children will be in there.
Staff were excellent, exceptional customer service from a young girl in the bar serving a wheelchair user- cleared the cluttered bar area of signs so the lady could see better. A service provider in the breakfast restaurant was lovely - think she was from Glasgow. Lovely young lass in the leisure centre, helpful and very chatty. On the downside as soon as you leave the ground floor it’s grubby, even my 7 yr old commented on the state of the bathroom door…… it was disintegrating from the bottom up!
This place was dirty and worn out. Carpets covered in clumps of hair that the cleaner would have seen. Either a dog stayed or they swept the dirt on the carpet into piles. Sheets had somebodys hairs in aswell so guessing not replaced after the last guest. Bed cushions covered in a dried something. Pool out of order. Ordered a pizza at the bar which was disgusting. Barely warm. Draught beer was flat. Enjoyed...leaving
Very good staff and hotel
Comfortable bed, bathroom needs upgrade
Bed was comfortable. Wall to bathroom very thin. Receptionist agreed to 1 hour late checkout then phoned to see why we hadn't checked out. Breakfast was nice but sausages were low quality. I had silver 20 percent discount code receptionist very vague as to what to covered. If advertised as 3 star hotel would be pleased, struggles to meet 4 star rating
Staff and service very good. Bedroom and bathroom require serious freshening up. Showing its usage looking very tired.
Wonderful stay
The hotel did not disappoint at all. Easily accessible, has wonderful staff, a perfect atmosphere, above-par cleanliness and super warm and comfortable rooms. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to spend some time in Inverness.
1 night stay
Friendly staff with easy check in. Wouldn’t allow my 20% silver membership discount on breakfast. Plenty of parking. Good for one night stay travelling through Scotland.
Close to city centre
Check in was busy so a bit slow small lift to second floor I asked for a quiet room but got the noisy window next to the busy duel carriageway the room was small but ok .the hotel is well placed for being near to city centre
Adequate hotel for Inverness stay
Adequate for an overnight stay. The hotel could do with a freshen up as it’s looking a bit tired. Staff were good and breakfast was plentiful. Plenty of free parking. Price is good for Inverness
Check in was smooth and staff were lovely. Spa was nice. Dinner was poor and service was poor. Room was noisy with clanging pipes. It was cheap and had a spa so I can’t complain and would stay again for the price.
Weekend away
Nice clean and comfortable hotel. Staff very friendly
Weekend in Inverness
Room clean. Staff helpful and efficient

Great value stay
Reception staff very professional and helpful; swimming pool and gym amazing; comfy and clean rooms; the only thing that let it all down was the bar staff. The girl made a face when we asked for the food menu and her whole manners weren’t professional. This spoiled our dinner really. Breakfast really great as usual.
