They were all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

We had a wonderful stay at this villa at Mushroom Beach! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure our experience was enjoyable. They helped organize day trips and adventures for us, making it easy to explore the area, and were a great support when our son fell ill, assisting us with care. The location was fantastic—just a short walk from Mushroom Beach, restaurants, and cafes. It was also very convenient to reach from the fast ferries, which made our arrival stress-free. While there was some construction during the day, it didn’t disrupt our plans, and the nights were peaceful and quiet. We’re grateful for such a memorable stay and would highly recommend this villa to anyone visiting Lembongan!

Would not recommend

Needs maintenance. Pool was stale. Unfinished walls and ceilings. We left after one night even though we had booked 2. Would not recommend unfortunately. Staff was kind, but it's not enough...

We stayed at the property for 4 nights , limited wifi in the rooms , shared balcony with room next door , no hot water after second day , tv didn’t work, bathroom dated , room was however clean and beautiful view from balcony overlooking the trees and water , nice little pool and staff very friendly, steep 3 min walk down to the beach and a nice selection of restaurants and warungs around , lots to do if wanted or just chill out on mushroom beach and absorb life , best beach we seen in that area

Friendly staff and very helpful Rooms were serviced daily the property was maintained beautifully close to mushroom bay on our departure the staff went out of their way assisting us with our luggage to the ferry. will definitely return to this property We would give this property a 4 star rating

If I could give 0 star I would. The location is in the middle of nowhere, the roads were bumpy . Staff were not friendly at all. In the middle of all of that the bedsheet were dirty with stains and other people’s perfume. Disgusting. The bathroom has terrible smell, the shampoo has molds in it and on top of that the sink was clogged. Disgusting. AVOID that place!!!

Chempaka Villa is Very Quaint

This villa is very quaint. It is very close to Mushroom Bay Beach and if you get a second floor room, you can actually see the bay from the balcony. They serve a very tasty breakfast so be sure to include that in your booking. They do not serve lunch or dinner however there are several really nice restaurants down at the beach. They did room service but only if you ask them and tell them what you need (water, coffee, fresh towels, etc). I recommend you don’t try to find the villa on your own till you have been taxied there a couple of times as it is a crazy route. Enjoy!!

This family run establishment was a very pleasant place to stay. We could walk to the beach at Mushroom Bay in 5 minutes. The staff were very obliging and helpful. As we were mother and daughter traveling, we would have preferred separate beds but we’re not able to have this as an option. Breakfast was included and somewhat limited but we found it enough for our needs.

Dsane and the staff were amazing! Rented a scooter that broke down at dinner and they immediately came down to my rescue. Also wanted to go for breakfast before my ferry and Dsane accompanied me to my breakfast, waited for me to finish eating then drive me to my ferry! A service

We really enjoyed our stay at Cempaka villa and I don't think I've stayed anywhere where the people have been so nice and attentative. They were always on hand whenever we needed them and especially for cuddles with the 3 month baby we had in the group so the parents could eat their breakfast in peace! The location for mushroom beach was excellent being a couple of minutes walk away from the beach itself and restaurants not too much further than that. The pool and Aircon were both excellent and much needed after a day out and the beds were very comfy. Our room was cleaned every day we were there. They also provided a taxi when we ventured out a bit further. If we came back to Nusa lembongan again (minus the children!) I think a scooter would be the ideal way to explore the island and the roads are so much quieter than in Bali.

Close to the beach but only by walking down through a walkway which was very dark at night. No lighting. Didn’t feel safe to walk that way at night. So needed transport the long way round. There was only internet wifi on our first day so couldn’t keep in touch with our family staying in other accommodation. It wasn’t a terrible place, the staff were polite. The room clean and tidy. But I wouldn’t stay there again. The online photos looked far better than reality.

Pros: For the price, it’s a good stat. Small boutique hotel. Nice pool. Comfy beds. Lovely staff. Super close to the beach. Beautiful views from the top rooms. Cons: Barking dogs across the road keep you awake but not as bad as busy areas. The breakfast is so basic. And there are no other food to buy there so you’d have to buy food & drinks elsewhere. Pool has a lot of chlorine. The walk to the beach is bumpy and slippery so not great for elderly. Our towels wasn’t changed at all throughout our 3 night, 4 day stay & no soap in the dispensers. Apart from that, it’s a nice wee place to stay. The staff were really lovely.

We loved the caretakers. They went out of their way to make us feel so comfortable. The view is amazing, and property is quiet.

We loved our stay, lovely owner and staff. Good breakfast and pool. Electricity failed a few times but no dramas.. 5min from Mushroom Beach and Mola Mola beach reastraunt.. .

This wasn’t quite as expected, it’s certainly not as nice as the photos portrayed. However it was fine for the price. Our room itself was clean but the bathroom could definitely do with some work - stained mirror, stained shower wall, holes in the bathroom roof and cockroaches around the sink. Also our balcony doors were wonky and so didn’t close properly which we pointed out to the staff who didn’t do anything about it. Breakfast was good for the price - lovely scrambled eggs, omelette and banana pancakes. The pool was a tad dirty but this seemed to improve when they turned the pump on. The sun loungers and umbrellas certainly need replacing. The staff were really polite and friendly, happily providing transport and even went back to the villa for us to pick up a bag we forgot which was very kind.

We left a few hours after checking in. The restaurant was closed, the pool was slippery and dirty due to a broken filter, there were spiders in the bed and the stairs to the pool were rotting. Only one other couple there when we checked in. Staff were friendly but were not available to hotels.com staff when we tried to get a refund. I think the pandemic has been hard on their business.

Great place for the money. We stayed at expensive places all over Bali and they were not any better than this.

Great stay

The owners are amazing very helpful, they helped us with taxis and our whole trip to nusa pendida. Our room was lovely, the bed was sooo comfortable didn’t want to leave that bed. The place itself is chill, not far from mushroom beach then a 15mins walk from dream beach and all the good restaurants. Great value for money

Such a lovely place to say, especially for the price. Staff were exceptional. They have a fly issue in the dining area which is a bit overwhelming at breakfast. There are easy solutions (fans for example) and they need to find one. Otherwise a great stay

Beautiful property. Tucked away in a quiet spot that’s only a couple of minutes away from everything. Fantastic place. Staff are so lovely and welcoming.

Beautiful new villas

Beautiful little place to stay on Lembongan. The villa is new so everything was great. Our hot water didn't seem to last very long but we weren't to bothered with that. The staff were amazing and nothing was a hassle for them. We hired scooters from the villa to explore the island for the day and it was cheap and easy to do. Breakfast was also great.

Very pretty Hotel and great staff, who were always willing to help

Very clean. looks just like pictures except pool smaller than expected. pool water was clean and warm. staff was fantastic, very friendly and a pleasure to deal with. food was cheap and good. they arranged spa and tours for us. you do need to rent a scooter here, they have them on site. neighbouring properties are baron or locals hones.

Lovely little place by Mushroom Beach

Lovely little place, 5 min walk to Mushroom beach where you can take a glass bottom boat and choose from a number of excellent restaurants, and just a short motorbike transfer to Yellow Bridge if you want to do a snorkelling trip to Nusa Penida. We only spent one night on Lembongan but I wish we had stayed longer. Cempaka villa was great value and a good base to explore the island.

I was really nervous about staying in the island and more when I arrived. The hotel is clean and nice. I was blown away with the hospitality. It was amazing! As soon as I booked. They sent a message to confirm booking and if I was interested in booking boat with them. They responded to questions very fast. Only a few walking steps from mushroom beach. Staying in NL was actually the highlight of our trip.

We booked this property and were thrilled with it! Staff were extremely nice and friendly, and willing to go out of their way to assist. Will definitely be back!!!

The villas were beautiful. Very spacious and the bed was very comfortable! The air con was an absolute treat to come home to of an afternoon also. The best part about this place though, is the location! A 5 minute walk around the corner and down onto mushroom beach, where we had sunset drinks and dinner almost every night. The staff were super friendly, breakfast was fine, and we were able to organise scooter hire and snorkelling with ease! Definitely recommend this place!!! It’s a bargain for what you get. Thanks Cempaka, we’ll be back!

A totally fine, nice new set of villas. Really close to mushroom beach. Pushed us out of our room an hour early to accommodate a couple who wanted to check-in 3 hours early, left with a bad impression. Overall nice place, could have offered to make it better somehow but didn’t.

Beautiful villas

This place is absolutely amazing! Super comfy beds and beautiful rooms. Air conditioning was working great and TV had HBO and other movie channels. Pool area is nice too and staff is very helpful. Only bad thing was that there were lots of flies around when having breakfast so we decided to eat somewhere else during the rest of the stay. This is quite normal though at the island. Would definitely come back :) We had one of the upstairs rooms which have a big balcony, they seem much nicer than the downstairs ones.

The staff was so helpful and nice and the location was great, it’s a quick walk to Mushroom beach and I could see the ocean from my room. The room was fantastic and I was very thankful and impressed by the servcice here. I definitely recommend.

The service here is amazing. The best we experienced anywhere in Indonesia and we traveled for a month here. The faculty is new, the rooms are perfect and the pool is clean and fresh!

Great place to stay

I ended up extending my stay 3 times. And will be back next season for much longer. Very very nice, kind and friendly family run hotel. Staff is so helpful. I felt at home there. Wonderful.

De kamer was in orde. Goede airco als de stroom s’nachts ( vanaf 24u) niet uitvalt en niemand in het complex is. Toen we incheckte zagen we een ijskast op de kamer maar werkte niet ,dit gemeld was niets aan te doen . Strand v Mushroom bay 10 min stappen enkele restaurantjes. Tv was niet aangesloten de douche ….er was warm water maar de regendouche was slechts een druppelkraan.

Très belle chambre, personnel accueillant. A proximité de mushroom bay, nous avons passé un excellent séjour ! Attention le chemin qui mène à l’hôtel depuis la plage est assez difficile d’accès avec des valises

2min till stranden, billig Warung brevid

Trevligt, familjärt litet hotell. 2min till stranden Mushroombay- men 5 min hem då det är brant... Vägarna runt där inte vägar.. utan sten o gropar men 700m bort är det asfalt och ok vägar. Smidigt att hyra moppe på hotellet 100K/dag men billigare vid fler dagar. Ta dig till Dreambeach. Höga vågor men fin strand. lite snål frukost - du får välja 1 rätt + 1 dryck. Tex omelett med bröd och juice eller toast och kaffe. Vill du ha mer betalat du 25.K (2Euro per dryck/mat) aå helt okej för det priset. Området krong Muchr.bay har restauranger, små shops och är trevlig. Kan rekommendera att köpa mat o dryck o få använda gratis solstolar på Le Nusa Hotell vid stranden. Finns en fin o välskött pool på Cempaka och även en mycket billig restaurang ligger vägg i vägg. Vårt rum låg på 2:a våningen ganska brant trappa. Fin Havsutsikt, stor veranda.

Nice place, good location! Staff is pleasant, omelette awesome for breakfast. Just the wifi - Doesn't reach the room and doesn't work very well...

Relatief verborgen hotel hoewel Pantai Mushroom Bay om de hoek is. Voor alle overige toeristische locaties heb je een scooter (niet duur) of een 'taxi' (relatief duur en je wordt makkelijk afgezet).

L’hôtel est situé à cinq minutes de la plage. La chambre était belle, spacieuse et le lit absolument douillet. Le personnel est génial, serviable, accueillant et accommodant. Nous d as bons eu quelques irritants importants pendant notre séjour : meneur d’eau et d’électricité fréquents ainsi que mauvais wifi. Pour le reste, notre semaine au Cempaka était super!

Wir haben uns in dieser Unterkunft nicht sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir hatten zunächst das etwas günstigere Zimmer gebucht. Dies roch jedoch unfassbar unangenehm und an den Wänden waren (Schimmel?)Flecken. Wir konnten dann gegen Aufpreis in eins der Zimmer im oberen Stockwerk, wo es besser auszuhalten war. Das Zimmer wurde täglich gut gereinigt. Das Badezimmer war sehr einfach und abgenutzt, vermutlich durch das salzige Wasser aus der Dusche (ja, es gibt leider nur salziges Wasser zum duschen!). Das Frühstück war nicht gut. An einem Morgen wollten wir früh Frühstücken, es war aber kein Personal da, obwohl schon Frühstückszeit war.

Freundliches, familiengeführtes Hotel. Frühstück wird frisch zubereitet, jedoch ist die Auswahl nicht sehr groß. Wenn man Nachschlag wünscht, kostet es extra. Zu Fuß erreicht man das Hotel von der Bootsanlegestelle in etwa 20 Minuten. Leider ist der Weg dorthin sehr holprig, was z.B. die Rollerfahrt nicht sehr angenehm macht. Im Großen und Ganzen waren wir aber zufrieden.

High quality!!

We were suprised by the quality of this hotel! Everything was clean and the staff was lovely! Only a couple of minutes by foot to Mushroom Bay and restaurants, but the hotel is still in a quiete area. I highly recommend this hotel!

on nous a donné la chambre 01, FUYEZ une odeur à vomir et c'est sale (tapis de salle de bain, rideaux, draps) et dehors les transats sales... 3 nuits passées, 3 coupures électriques donc pas de douche de clim ou d'eau dans la salle de bain.. on est déçue alors qu'on s'était fait plaisir avec un hôtel récent et qui faisait envie sur LES PHOTOS
