We have stayed at this hotel several times before and have never been disappointed. The work out room is well equipped. The pool is indoors! The shower is as hot as you would ever consider using. The location is right in the middle of everything. Take it from a couple of fussy old Long Islanders, Square Phillips Hotel deserves 6 stars on the scale from 1 to 5!

In the heart of Montréal, next to the Eaton mall and 15 min walk to Bell Center. Parking fee was reasonable with unlimited exit/entry. Had the basic room which is huge with refrigerator and cooking facility. Stayed late January when the price is well off peak.

This is our go to property when visiting Montreal. Phillips Square Hotel meets all our needs and then some. The welcoming front desk personnel, housekeeping and breakfast room staff are wonderful. You can’t beat the location.The rooms are very clean and spacious. Love the high ceilings. During our most, recent stay we were given a free upgrade which made the visit extra special.The 12pm check out is another perk that we enjoy. Book it!

For a family of five, Le Square Phillips was perfect. We were able to stay in one spacious suite and not have to rent two rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful. Centrally located near activities and restaurants.

Breakfast was a bit weak... the coffee was good but like. . . Where was the food? There was only hard boiled eggs and deli meat/cheese but I mean considering my room had a whole ass kitchen including a goddamn dishwasher (like, what??) That's on me and there are all kinds of awesome restaurants literal tens of meters away. This is a pretty awesome damn hotel. A repurposed warehouse right down town walking distance from *everything* I mean it is amazing. Stupid high ceilings. Just amazing. Staff just par excellence. We loved everything about this property. It was perfectly situated downtown. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The rooms were equipped with everything we needed and the whole hotel was very clean.

The staff is helpful, courteous and very accommodating. My room is like a well fit up condo. Clean, modern and well appointed. Location is amazing and in the hub of downtown.

Comfortable hotel in a great location

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and the hotel is in a great location. The only disappointing thing was the breakfast as it was very minimal. However, as it was included in the price, you can't complain too much.

Amazing Hotel

Loved staying at the Le Square Hotel. The access to the pool was amazing and I had a great time staying in the hotel. The location was perfect and you can simply walk around downtown and to the metro close by. Will probably stay again at this hotel in my next visit.

Great customer service, bedding, breakfast, lovely room with high ceilings, and the rooftop gym and pool are really nice.

Room with kitchenette was beautiful and large. Very clean with updated appliances and cooking necessities. Friendly staff. Breakfast was always very good. Gym and pool are updated too. Location is central and safe. My daughters and I had such a great time exploring the city from this hotel.

Great Hotel! Clean and quiet!

Location, facility, comfort, and service are great. McGill Metro nearby (although a lot of homeless there sadly) Room for improvement: wifi very slow in rooms, breakfast bar needs efficiency review as it's not set up well (esp put the coffee elsewhere) - people wandered into each other trying to figure it out. All in all, a great choice and we'll be back (thank goodness my cell plan covers Canada!)

A good choice

We stayed here for five nights in total and were very satisfied. The hotel is well-located, not far from the Gare Centrale and the airport bus route and close to the main shopping street of Rue Sainte Catherine and the Quartier Spectacles, although the Old Town and Port are more of a walk. The hotel was very clean and our rooms were spacious and well-equipped, if a little dark, with a comfortable bed, a large fridge and good cooking facilities if you wanted to eat in. A buffet breakfast was also provided – not a massive amount of choice compared with European hotels but still very welcome. Staff were also friendly and very helpful. Tip – there is a good pizza restaurant nearby that does takeaways.

Everyone at this hotel was so nice and very central location for downtown. Our family of five stayed very comfortably and the place was immaculate. Great complimentary continental breakfast ( no hot breakfast)

This property was in the perfect location with easy access to the underground city. It was very clean and quiet and offered a free breakfast. While it did not affect us, be aware that they do not have onset parking for those who have studded tires. Otherwise, the onsite valet parking was convenient and reasonably priced.

Excellent stay at Le Square Phillips Hotel

We stayed for 6 nights around New Year's Eve. We stayed in the family suite with 4 children and somehow got the very spacious disabilities suite. It was simple to obtain an extra rollaway bed ($20/night extra). There was a lot of space in our suite - bigger than many 2 bedroom apartments. The sound proofing between suites and between our master bedroom and the rest of the suite was good. Well equipped kitchen. Continental breakfast consisted of fresh fruit (bananas, kiwis, apples & oranges), hot and cold cereals, banana or other sweet fruit bread, bread, bagels, hard boiled eggs, deli meats, cheeses, yogurt, cream cheese, juices, coffee and tea. Breakfast was always basically the same. Great location. Everything was walkable or you just take the Metro (green and orange lines).

Loved the layout of the room. Felt old without being outdated. Had charm. The kitchen was a great for those who like to have the option to make their own food. Great for families. Was hoping for better customer service from staff during check in/out. Also would have loved more frequent cleaning of rooms. Otherwise, highly recommended!

Perfect location for a tourist and convenient

Everything was good There was a container of chicken wings left in our garbage from previous guests and our room was quite warm! Otherwise great location with lots to do!

We cannot wait to visit Le Square Phillips again! We were very impressed with how clean and quiet the hotel was, and the pool was great! We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite and we loved the layout and the convenience of a well stocked kitchen right in our room. No complaints!

We stay here every year and will continue to do so! The rooms are so spacious and the kitchen is very convenient, especially for families with children. Perfect area for shopping. Valet parking is reasonable and super convenient.

This hotel is located right in the heart of Downtown Montreal within walking distance of the busy Rue Sainte Catherine and “La Baie d’Hudson”, a huge department store similar to Macy’s in NYC. The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. But the breakfast is horrendous and it is the only reason why I can’t give this hotel a 5-star rating. I hope they improve the breakfast as it doesn’t reflect the quality of the comfort and quality of the facility.

The apartment was very spacious and beautifully decorated. Great selection for breakfast. Walking distance to everythingg we wanted to see. Perfect stop.

Overall my stay here was good. The front staff and valet were very courteous. The two complaints I have concern the cleaning staff assigned to my floor- the white lady with the blonde hair and glasses was so awful, I had to tell her to leave my room and never come back - she complained-mumbled as she cleaned and caused my dog anxiety. Reported it to management but I did not hear back, for this reason I leave the review as good not excellent. Hire better hospitable housekeepers

Comfortable and enjoyable stay! Free breakfast was sufficient. Staff were very friendly and accommodating! Room was clean Bedding was super comfortable (definitely need those pillows for my bed) Kitchenette was clean and well stocked Bathroom was spacious, and the deep tub was a great plus!

Very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived early and the receptionist not only allowed us to check in early, but exceeded our expectations and upgraded our room to a very spacious suite with two separate rooms and one and a half bathrooms. Spotlessly clean. There was no outside noise at all.

Joseph was very helpful suggesting things to see and how to get to the different venues. All of the staff was very pleasant.

The staff at this hotel was wonderful - extremely friendly and helpful with any and all questions. The rooms are great - we stayed in a queen studio and the amount of space, the high ceilings, the fully stocked kitchen - it was all excellent. Highly recommend this property. Also, we walked everywhere - it's a nice location.

It was conveniently located and comfortable. Breakfast was nice and the pool was great. The suite for four consisted of a bed and a pull out couch, which was too small for two. We had to request an extra bed which we had to pay extra for.
