The hotel is good, needs a bit of renovation. Located in the city center with guarded private area. Service is good, don't expect something outstanding, though. Restaurant is good, don't expect something big.

That was exceptional I really appreciate this moment I spent over there. These people are very nice and hard working I would recommend someone else to go there.

Pretty good all things considered

It’s not a bad place by any means and the courtyard is lovely. Right outside the hotel is sketchy at best. Some blemishes but still decent overall.

It was pretty good. Hot water which was nice. Meals were good and staff friendly. Place more a 2 star in terms of room condition but not bad...sketchy neighborhood though.

The hotel was overpriced for what it offered. No hot water one of the days. It is old and needs renovation. The front desk ladies were kind and gave great service, but the service in their restaurant was awful.

An pleasant oasis in the heart of the city

An oasis amidst the chaos. The city of Port-au-Prince is a bit chaotic, and can be overwhelming at times. So it's not to escape to Le Plaza hotel which is right in the heart of the city, but somehow as soon as you step through the doors the vibe completely changes as you leave the intense chaos behind and enter a chill and relaxing oasis. All the street noise disappears and you are surrounded by lush greenery and silence. The only complaint I can think of is that if you've never been there before, and are arriving on your own (i.e. no airport pickup) it's not entirely clear where the entrance is. Neither the walk-in entrance nor the car parking lot. The signage could be much more clear. At first I almost panicked and thought the place had been shut down entirely. There is a giant colorful mural that says "Le Plaza" on one of the walls surrounding the hotel, but the entry doorway is not clearly labeled. The breakfast was ok, but could get a bit boring after a couple of days. But you're in Haiti so the supplies/resources to make an amazing breakfast aren't readily available, so appreciate what you can get.

The hotel is clean and quiet. The staff is helpful and friendly. Overall this is the best place to stay in Port Au Prince!

Awesome time

Check in was fast and the receptionist was very accommodating. The entrance is beautiful and the whole place is well taken care of. The only bad is the bathrooms need updating. Time to remodel these moldy bathrooms. Breakfast was remarkable and the servers were awesome (celiriny and rony) the afternoon buffet was pricey but a great selection I enjoyed my stay. The staff is really nice. Will def be back

Nice hotel for Port Au Prince. Staff was friendly and attentive. Pool was in a nice garden setting. Air conditioner was a bit loud but cooled well. WiFi worked well in first floor rooms. Had a bit of trouble getting my door key card to work but staff took care of it promptly. Room was quiet and clean.

The pool was excellent - the Plaza's best feature. Very nice to have my breakfast eggs cooked to order too. To improve? The air conditioning unit in my room (108B) was VERY noisy. I couldn't watch TV & use the A.C. at the same time! Impossible to sleep with the A.C. turned on too. Also, there was a very odd, large rust stain around the bathtub drain that was VERY un-sightly. The shower itself was great ie. hot water & very good pressure. Hard to beat the Plaza's location but boy or boy does the front of the hotel building outside need to be improved! It's dreadful! You can't even tell it's a hotel!

I like the location, not too far away, it was easier for my friends and family to visit me. You feel safe and secure even the hotel is located in area with heavy traffic ( cars and people ). The staff is courteous.

The staff was wonderful,great food only downside was my room location,didn't like that I was on the 3rd floor all the way to the end, terrible window view,was looking at the roof of a building but will return to LePlaza enjoyed my stay

It was pleasant experience. I had change of plans and had to stay in Port-au-Prince for 1 night. I was happily surprised of le Plaza Hotel. Clean rooms, friendly staff and doos authentic Haitian food The bathrooms need to be update though.

Lovely stay in a great location. The staff are very kind and accommodating.

Facility is ok, but the rooms condition is terrible. Lot of mold in the shower tiles and tub; the shower tub was clogged and the water did not drain while taking a shower. I don't know what kinds of towels they use but they are as old as when the place was the Holiday Inn. In other words the place is in a dire need of a make serious make over. Please renovate that place.

Good Service For Your Buck

I see myself as a regular guest of Le Plaza Hotel, even though I had not stayed there in the past two years. But I made sure to renew the relationship on my last trip to Haiti this month of June. The service is upbeat; the staff very friendly and attentive; the food is delicious, but I favor breakfast over dinner. For breakfast, I particularly enjoyed the dish called AK100. Very yummy!!! The room and bathroom very clean and comfortable; TV with international channels, free fast-speed WiFi; a very nice freezer, but no microwave. The outdoor pool is very inviting. Among the staff, I especially thank Gaspar and Marcelin. This is an excellent hotel to stay in. It also offers its great services at a better price compared to the other hotels in the area. I believe you will enjoy every bit of it. Go for it!

LePlaza hotel

I’ve been to Haiti before and usually stay with someone. This is the first that I stayed in a hotel in Haiti. I stayed for 4 nights and I had a good experience. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed the breakfast buffet since they had something different each day. The only thing. Is that the restaurant here doesn’t take US money, but you can go to the front desk to exchange money. The courtyard is nice place to sit to relax. I would stay here again.

Nice hotel close to the downtown. but... Normally, breakfast was included in my plan. I don't understand why they wanted me to pay for breakfast. I don't appreciate this at all.

Oasis in PAP

Nice older style hotel. Great courtyard and pool with a relaxing atmosphere for destressing after work. While the front desk staff were always helpful, the restaurant staff can be very inattentive - leaving guests waiting for menus, service... Located near supermarket with easy access to ATMs. Not many restaurant options nearby, which is a minus. The 'taxi' rates are extortionists - USD 10 to travel 1-1.5 km so you are pretty much stuck at the hotel at the mercy of the inattentive restaurant staff and food that could be improved.

One Night at Le Plaza

My overall experience at Le Plaza Hotel was pleasant. Staff was courteous and professional. My server Jerry or Jeffrey was outstanding. The courtyard at le Plaza was all to brag about. The choice of having dinner, breakfast brunch or drink in the courtyard by the pool, the gazebo, or the open terrace was priceless, particularly for those from a cold climate.

Friendly staff and safe place. Quiet, and comfortable bed and the restaurant is excellent. I always stay at least a night every time I visit Haiti!. Vladimir at check in/ out is excellent as usual.

Le Plaza Hotel was a fair experience. The hotel is located in the heart of Port-au-Prince, so there’s not much around other due to be king surrounded by the local culture. Next time, I would stay in Pentionville where you can walk around and find clubs, restaurants, etc.

Bad room location. No patio.

I was placed in a second story room at the back of the hotel with no patio. I didn't like it. I have stayed before in a room with a patio overlooking the pool area. I liked that.

Satisfied with everything

It has been a good experience with our stay at The plaza hotel.Everything was fine ,the staff did a good job and did their best to please us and made our stay enjoyable.Definitely,we Will comeback and Will recommend it to our friends and family.

Overall happy with it. I return to La Plaza regularly when traveling to Haiti.

It is an oasis in the middle of Champ de Mars Avenue, inside it, there are palm trees, plants, and abundant shade, something very important, given the heat of Port au Prince. The breakfast buffet is correct, included in the price of the room. Staff are very attentive and polite. The Kanele restaurant is good although somewhat pricey.

Budget hotel in the City Center

The Plaza Hotel is conveniently located in the City Center within walking distance to attractions in Port au Prince. The Hotel staff was helpful and the breakfast was nothing to write home about. An excellent safe and affordable location from which to explore the many attractions of Haiti.

The management tries to steal money from the guest when ever they get an opportunity.i had paid all my meals with my credit card,upon leaving,they told me I own them about two hundred dollar.i strongly recommend that every one that stayed at that hotel keep their receipt,or they will make you pay twice.no wonder the country is in poor condition,every one is out to steal.KEEP YOUR RECEIPT UNTIL YOU LEAVE

Clean hotel, staffs were great and professional.

My husband and I had a great experience, free breakfast, excellent food, many varieties. Lunch buffet also great with many varieties except was to expensive considering paying with US dollar. Overall our experience at the plaza hotel was great.

It was peaceful, very comfortable, great atmosphere, ect.. I slept like a baby. Great service. I look forward to my next stay. Loved it.

There were no washcloths and the internet did not work up in our room and our bathtub kept plugging up and took forever to drain. The service at the restaurant was not very good, very slow.

Hotel staff only friendly with foreigners

Room super clean...but the front desk staff hate when you have a great discount reservation. If you ask for a printout it's like a crime A year ago l had a discounted reservation. They did not cancelled it while l was there and made a new one for me. This time they refused to tell me how much per cent is the taxes

Good value, comfortable hotel

Good value hotel, comfortable, clean, good breakfast, great swimming pool. Negatives - menu is quite limited after a few days (food is adequate) - air conditioner is very noisy (i turned mine off at night) - bar music plays until around 11pm, so disturbing if you sleep earlier - nearby church bells for a few minutes at 5.30am daily
