Beautiful grounds and great cottage

We couldn't rate Lawn Cottages highly enough. The location was very quiet, in well kept gardens, easy access to Hastings and Clive, by car. The cottage was very modern inside, and everything we needed was provided for, even down to a first aid kit! The detail was impressive. The kitchen was well kitted out. Laundry was on site, which was really important to us and this was easy to access and use. . It felt modern, fresh and clean, just what we were looking for and it made our stay in Hastings so enjoyable.

The cottage was outstanding. The most beautiful garden we have ever had in a property. So peaceful, it was like our own slice of heaven! The cottage inside was exceptionally clean, extremely comfortable and very well equipped. Could not recommend highly enough.

Well equipped, very clean cottage in beautiful garden setting, convenient for all we wanted to do in Hawke’s Bay

Bath towels a little on the small side. Not sure if the underfloor heating was working - it claimed to be at 22 degrees at one point but I couldn't feel it. We have UFH at home so I know it should feel like. Netflix access a positive. Overall very well presented, clean and tidy.

Peaceful area

Tranquil & beautiful cottage & well-maintained gardens. The cottage was well- equipped, included a how-to book, directions prior to arrival & departure directions. The cottage was exceptionally clean & comfortable.

Exceptional property, has everything you need and brilliant location for both Napier, Hastings and Havelock North

Fantastic property. Really well maintained, excellent amenities and extras (eggs, bread and full bottle of milk so appreciated!). Owner/manager communicates clearly and is very friendly. The property is close to the settlement of Clive and about 15mins to drive to Napier waterfront. We did have a very loud pukeko visit at 6:30am two days in a row, but I'm pretty sure he's not an actual employee! Looking forward to our next visit.

Honestly such a neat home which is well furnished and felt so comfortable like in my own home. Thank you guys so much

Absolutely perfect. I loved Rose Cottage. It is beautifully set up for comfort. Cleanliness was 10/10 and I’m very fussy! The fridge was set up with milk, eggs, bread, butter ang jam. The gardens are private and lovely. The separate laundry was immaculate. Internet reception was excellent and having Netflix was great. Janie’s communication was excellent. Close to Napier, Hastings, Taradale and Havelock North.

Amazing! Spotlessly clean and very well appointed.

We enjoyed the comfort of the cottage and exceptional kitchen with all the equipment we needed to be able to cook our meals. The location is very quiet but close enough to Hastings and Napier for restaurants and shopping.

Nice quiet location... great to be near the cycle paths.

Great cottages, very clean.. I think quite new Great position.. central to everything 2 bedrooms with glass sliding doors to the deck .. 2 bathrooms.. will stay again when we go to Napier

Lovely Lawn cottages

Love Lawn Cottages, very clean, well fitted and kitted out kitchen and bathrooms. Handy to Havelock North, and a multitude of wineries.

It’s immaculate. I will book this again next time we travel to Hawks Bay.

2nd stay. Lovely perfectly clean and well presented Cottage which meets my expectations. Supplies in fridge great. Pet friendly so a big bonus to be able to take my dog.

Everything about this place is lovely. My dog loved the paddock next to our cottage to run in. This cottage is the nicest place I have ever stayed at. Better then any hotel.

Little hidden gem.

A very well thought out cottage with all the modern amenities you can expect to be comfortable. From the exceptionally comfortable bed to the underfloor heating. Everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Plenty to see and explore as well.

Everything you need are provided, modern, clean, spacious with your own private garden sorrounded by trees. Ideal place to chill, away from city life.

We just loved Lawn Cottages, the cottage was great, very fresh and clean, the space was great and worked soo well with kids. The amenities were top notch and the shower pressure was AWESOME! We loved wondering the gardens and the laundry was a bonus! The location was great to access everything in the region! Thank you for a great stay

Excellent stay all round. Clear communication re how to check in, super clean cottage, beautiful grounds (quiet and relaxing), extremely well equipped, high quality furnishings/ linen etc. AND plenty of food supplied for first morning breakfast!

Fantastic experience!

Highly recommend Lawn Cottages for their quiet, clean, well appointed cottages. Modern, spacious and very comfortable. Great deck and outside spaces. Convenient location if you are driving or cycling to Havelock North, Hastings and Napier. Walkable to Clive and 2 mins walk to the beach and cyclepaths. Great comms, awesome to have access to a laundry. WiFi was awesome. One of the best set ups I've ever encountered.

Comfortable and spacious

Great location close to all Hawkes Bays sights. The cottage was spacious, well heated and comfortable. The grounds provided privacy and space. Overall fully recommended.

Wonderful stay - the cottage was beautifully designed and furnished with everything we could have needed. It was great to come back to such a relaxing and quiet place after a day of touring around.

nice time at lawn cottage

Clean, fresh, peaceful. But slightly overpriced for what it is.

The Lodge had great amenities and was spacious. Messages for arrival got a bit confusing, we received an email asking approximate time of arrival which asked for a text reply. We have very poor phone coverage so we replied a time via internet. We were then requested to text the property manager when we reached Clive. I explained the situation and was told I would have to call to the house. I would have expected to call at reception between check in times. We did have problems with the Netflix when we went to use it which the onsite staff did sort but took a couple of days (no fault of theirs as part required). The garden, especially the veg area was very tired with most the produce dying for lack of attention. We did have a nice stay and was great to relax.

Paradise

We stayed in the Magnolia cottage and could not have been more pleased. It was our own little private paradise. Gardens were beautiful, the kitchen was well-equipped and had everything we needed.

Wedding Anniversary getaway

We have stayed at Lawn Cottage before so knew what to expect. New owners now, and 3 new cottages too. Immaculately presented in a rambling cottage garden. Very private, quiet with well equipped kitchens, bbq, outdoor table and chairs. Netflix also a little bonus. Clive is close to Te Awanga, Havelock North, Hastings and Napier. We lunched at Clearview Winery about 10 minutes down the road. Fabulous walking/cycling tracks at the end od the road too. Highly recommend.

Lawn Cottages is so beautiful! The gardens are amazing and the cottage we stayed in was so beautifully styled with good quality linen. Such a beautiful relaxing place to stay. Little touches as providing breakfast provisions for the first morning was really lovely and truly appreciated. This was my favourite place we stayed during our holiday exploring the North Island.

This property was truly immaculate, it was very well designed and we loved our stay here, the garden was beautiful with a fantastic landscape. The staff were very helpful, our only negative which I feel a little reluctant to include is the wifi connection. The wifi was temperamental and extremely slow. We didn't manage to enjoy the free netflix service included on the TV or enjoy our own on our devices.

Loved the garden and privacy. Also the friendly host and how sweet to the cottage was so we had a very easy stay. We all loved the breakfast eggs.

Perfect stay. Lovely and private and they let us bring our dog . Will be back as soon as we can!
