Roaches ! Roaches ! Checked in on my first night and had roaches in the kitchen. Called front desk to notify. Said they can’t accommodate me because my stay of 7 nights was too long and they had no other room’s available. They said they would notify manger and he would get back to me, and they would send someone to spray. Manager never called to follow up, and no one came to spray . Also didn’t have hot water in my room for the first 3 nights. I called and no one showed up to fix it till the 4th night . Then the next day hot water was gone had to call again. Sat by the pool with family. We ordered food it took an hour for nuggets and fries to come . A family of 6 sat down 30 minutes after us and received their food first. I asked a server they said it wasn’t my order follow up with who placed your order. I had to go to kitchen and complain and ask why my food was taking so long. All they said was it’s coming . The staff and hotel cater to a certain demographic over others. Even though we all pay the same price. I had family members staying in a three bedroom penthouse and they also had no water . The personal jacuzzi in the room doesn’t work. It’s basically a mini pool. They also complained and nothing was done. They did a horrible job of cleaning rooms. The staff never came . My room was only cleaned 3 days out of the 7 nights . I had to call every morning and request service and when we would return to our room nothing was cleaned. No clean towels . We basically had to beg.

Lovely property- great pool- was located on the beach but we couldn't access the ocean due to the sargassum. Staff was nice. Restaurant was expensive but food was good, not great. Housekeeping didn't come til 4pm which wasn't ideal. Fishing poles were available but no weights and the poles weren't really in good enough shape to catch anything. Not sure I'd stay here again- I'd probably venture out and try something else- maybe something closer to San Pedro.

The location is perfect if you plan on going to San Pedro and Secret Beach as it is in between both.

New and clean. We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa and it was very spacious! The pool was great. The dock allowed us to swim in the ocean. And it was about 20min golf cart ride to secret beach!

Las Terrazas is a beautiful property and we enjoyed our stay. The beach and pool are both lovely, and we had no problem getting chairs. They cleaned the sea grass off the beach at least daily (sometimes more than once per day) if it was blowing in, which is essential some days. We enjoyed the complementary kayaks and paddle boards. The food in the restaurant was also good and the condo was clean and pleasant. My only complaint was that the living room furniture was a bit worn and uncomfortable, but we didn't spend much time there. Also, the areas outside the resort are not nice, but the resort obviously can't control that and we always felt perfectly safe. Overall, this is a very nice place to stay for a very reasonable price!

The manager was awful with communication and our ice maker never worked, our hot tub never worked, and we were never contacted to our personal devices in order to get resolutions. Over priced and awful service.

Nice resort

Property somewhat run down, pool is great, staff very helpful especially Nigel. Beach being cleaned regularly but a lot of sargassum weed not making it good for swimming. Beaches on adjoining properties very dirty with ocean trash, sad to see. Not much being done on this Caye for garbage. Garbage being tossed out everywhere. Hotel a long ways out from San Pedro.

Las Terrazas was a wonderful location. The property was well maintained and the staff were delightful. It is close to Secret Beach and town is a quick golf cart ride away. It was delightfully relaxing. I will be returning.

Staff great, worn out property

Be warned. First, staff is great and super friendly. Breakfast and pool area are nice. The warning is the property is very worn. Lock broken on the unit and maintenance did not fix (literally couldn't lock the room when out) broken refrigerator and freezer, no hot water. Worn out everything. Staff moved my room which was nice and better(ish) view but significant problems persisted. Bottom line fine if it's all that's available but set your expectations!

Wish the roof top bar was open and that the golf cart rentals would have been cheaper

Very nice, up to date rooms. The food on the property was good. Convenient cart ride to other restaurants and Secret Beach. Private beach on property, with paddle boards, and glass bottom canoes available.

It’s a clean and nice property, nice location. Staff was wonderful except for 1 girl who was just not nice or helpful, came across very unfriendly. Food options was very limited, but great breakfast options. Transport options to and from resort was criminally overpriced, wasn’t expecting perfection so a few issues was not off putting. Would definitely stay again, it’s really clean and beautiful and staff except the one girl was great

The resort is nice but I would not stay here again due to a 24 hour loud piercing noise coming from the generator that made it impossible to sleep. The sound could be heard throughout the property, but it was especially loud because our room was near the generator. Given the rate of the resort, this issue should have been disclosed. I did make a complaint to the staff but they said nothing could be done!Very disappointing

Our stay was amazing!! From the friendly welcome at check in to the wonder customer service at check out. Premises was clean and neat, rooms were cleaned and replenished everyday. Workers were very helpful and friendly. Had kids: 3&6 yo and I would say this place is kid friendly for the most part. I think this place is amazing for all but especially girls trip or couple getaway. I only had one hiccup: they left the sliding door open after cleaning and our room was muggy and bugs welcomed themselves in. That was resolved itself after a day, though.

Awesome place to relax and spend with family

The bathroom door didn't shut in the master, and there were roaches in the master suite. I also wasn't super excited that we were only allowed one tide pod per day. Also, someone must have used bleach in the washing machine before we got there because it tie-died my first load of laundry.

It was very peaceful and quiet. We had breakfast every morning at one of the outdoor covered tables by the pool and the servers were wonderful and friendly (thanks Wendy!) The pool area had plenty of seating and was quiet- Stewart provided fabulous drinks and tasteful music. If you have a chance, try their spa for a massage. Both Sarah and Amanda are skilled technicians, you won’t get a better deep tissue massage. In addition to breakfast, the restaurant also offers fine cuisine dinners and casual lunches. The rooms were spacious (three bedroom and two back rooms, large living room, large patio). The property is not large but acts like it is. We would definitely recommend.

Resort is quiet , well maintained, food is good.

Our week long stay at Las Terrazas resort was truly wonderful. Our room was clean and with amenities. The staff at the restaurant were attentive and helpful. The O restaurant on the property is a hidden gem. We tried much of the menu and every dish was spectacular and really delish. The location is a quiet oasis. The white sand beach is right outside your doorstep. The staff can arrange any reservations or excursions you like. The massages were also first class. We will be returning and hope to make this an annual trip.

The resort was excellent and the people were even better.

For those reading reviews. Stay somewhere else. Anywhere else. We stayed for 4 nights. Had cold water for 3 days. No action to correct by management. We checked in with no water in the resort. Stayed in a backpacking style hotel on Caye Caulker that was better than this. I travel for a living. Premium status with major hotel chains. We have stayed at this property before. And been coming to Belize for 15 years. It has gone down hill and will not return. We checked in to the property with absolutely no water to the resort. Not able to flush or shower. When the water did come on we had no hot water. And did not have hot water for 3 days out of 4 We also had Multiple cockroaches! We called it in and maintenance would come in and “fix” it. But as soon as we turn on…. Cold. This went on for several days. No word from management to check on us. It wasn’t until the 3rd day that the front desk (who was actually very professional and apologizing in this process) said the manager offered to move us to another room. The last night. After we showered. It was the last night there. We were to leave at 7am the next day. You waited till the last second to do something. It was also through talking to the front seat that I found out it was a known problem that they were fully aware of. The circuit breaker would trip when the hot water was turned on. So they kept us in a room knowing there was an electrical fault. Horrible experience!!!!!

The reef for snorkeling was accessible from the property with complimentary guide Jaffa the prophet. Reef was outstanding.

Our family of four stayed at Las Terrazas in a two-bedroom penthouse with. private pool. The layout is very spacious. The facility is very well kept and beautiful. The furniture in the room are bit outdated. The kitchen is equipped to prepare basic food. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There is one restaurant with great selection. The beach is not swimmingly. The resort is in a great location; about 20 mins golf cart ride from town but plenty restaurants along the way. Also, 25 minutes to secret beach. A must visit!!! We would differently stay there again.

Beautiful beachfront hotel in San Pedro, Belize, and it was exactly what we were looking for. The property itself is stunning, and the cleanliness throughout the hotel was impeccable. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, which made our stay even more enjoyable. One of the standout features of this hotel is the range of complimentary amenities they offer. We had access to kayaks, paddle boats, bikes, and even a volleyball court. The cabanas on the beach were a perfect spot for enjoying dinner or drinks while soaking in the relaxing atmosphere. The vibe of the entire place was incredibly tranquil, which was just what we wanted. We stayed in a spacious three-bedroom suite with a breathtaking view of the beach. The suite was well-equipped with a dining room, full kitchen, living room, and two full bathrooms. Having a washer and dryer in the suite was a great convenience, especially for a longer stay. However, there were a couple of drawbacks. The hotel has only one restaurant on the premises, and while the food was good, the menu was very limited and the prices were quite high. Additionally, the road leading to the hotel was in terrible condition, full of potholes, and when it rained, it turned into a muddy mess. The road seemed to be made of clay, making it difficult to navigate without getting your shoes or feet dirty when walking from the golf cart

I like that the rooms were spacious and the designs were unique which makes you feel at home.

My husband and I went for my birthday, along with 2 other couples. I loved the location.. 20 mins from downtown and 20 mins from secret beach! Perfect location. When we got to the resort, the walked us to a room.. that we didn’t reserve! 1 of the couples would have to sleep in bunk beds.. after waiting a hour, we were offered an “upgrade” to our room! After speaking to a manager we were upgraded. We paid n rented a 6 seater golf cart.. the 1st one needed power stirring, it was a struggle to turn.. the 2nd one wouldn’t cut off! Parking, taking out the key, it still never stopped running. 3rd, it needed power stirring and kept backfiring! The resort food was the worst of all places we’ve eaten at. Additionally, although it was 6 of us, 2 could eat breakfast free.

Great upscale property with great customer service and excellent spa services! If you’re in the area, definitely recommend the stay and spa services!

Serene and pleasant stay

Super friendly and attentive staff that always checked in to make sure you had what you needed. The grounds are beautiful, and they clean up the beach daily for seaweed.

The property and grounds were nice and staff was helpful. Only drawback/negative I have to say is in regard to our villa. Everything was nice....until it rained. The master and the 2nd bedroom had issues with leaks through the patio doors which would flood the floor of that room. They probably need to be resealed, but feel that this is definitely a safety hazard for future guests. Otherwise, I would likely stay here again.

My family and I stayed at Las Terrazas for a week and I’ll room only got cleaned one day. We had to go search for house keeping to retrieve towels and wash clothes. The trash build up in the room also the dirty towels and wash cloths. I shared this with the front desk manager each day. The front desk staff were very friendly. The manager change our room when we had a leak in the master bedroom. Overall I’ll stay was very nice. But house keeping needs to be revamped.

The property was beautiful, the staff was amazing. The only issue we had was the shower was always cold, no hot water.

We, a family of five with children aged 8 and 17, spent nearly two weeks in San Pedro at Las Terrazas. This is a wonderful resort with an excellent pool and beach. The staff is very friendly and warm, including the restaurant staff, the guy on the beach (highly recommend sailing with him), and the ladies at the reception. By the way, after checking out, we forgot some items in the room, and they quickly sent them to us for free via a local airline while we were waiting for our flight at the airport. Phenomenal! The rooms are large and spacious, and the service is excellent. The town is about 20 minutes away, so rent a golf cart – it’s the main mode of transportation on the island and a great experience.

Professional and attentive staff made for an enjoyable visit. We had an awesome time. Do not leave anything in your golf cart overnight, things of mine went missing.(My fault, I am too trusting of people). Nice quiet setting north of San Pedro away from the bustling city center. .

Fantastic family trip

Fantastic stay. Beautiful boutique hotel with excellent service. Very clean and spacious condo. We really enjoyed the pool, restaurant and bar had great service. We particularly appreciated Nigel and Cesar. Front desk was helpful and responsive to needs we had during the trip. Concierge service was excellent about booking activities and even rebooking couple of things when our travel was delayed.

Pros: large long pool. I was able to do laps in the morning and evenings. The rooms are spacious and cleaned daily with fresh towels. The hotel provides free kayaks, paddle boards. O restaurant had delicious food. Staff was always helpful and friendly! They have a spa and I had a deep tissue massage: amazing Spa gel pedicure was well done and good experience. Witnessed weddings on the two weekends we were there. They had a great DJ, setup was pretty , with the large white tents, outdoor bar and buffet style setting. Cons: “O restaurant” food was delicious but expensive . And so we explored nearby restaurants which had delicious food as well. The pictures of their beach water showed blue beach water. In reality, it was a wide expanse of sea grass in beach floor rendering a brown water hue. At the end of the dock, where there’s a swimming area that is roped off, the water is light green/ blue clear as the bottom is sand. In fairness, all hotels north of San Pedro has sea grass not sand for their beach water. This is different from the seaweed that washes to the shore. In fact, only Las Terrazas was the only hotel I saw( cause I walked 2 miles going south from their property, along the beach) that cleaned up their beachfront and removed all the sea grass. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. It is 20 minutes to San Pedro to enjoy restaurants along the way( tipsy lobster , truck stop, Aji, Rumhouse, Coco cabana, Capricorn). And 20 min to Secret beach: via golf cart.

Beautiful property!

The property has up to date rooms, the staff was very welcoming, but it rained several days which definitely impact our experience. Once the rain cleared we had an excellent time. Would definitely stay at this resort in the future.

It was a beautiful resort about 10 minutes north of San Pedro. We had an amazing room next to the ocean.the pool was cool and refreshing. Staff checked on us constantly. Would recommend.

Good: The staff is friendly and responsive when contacted. Nice pool and the property also looks good, but it's on the smaller side. Breakfast was expensive, but good, Bad: The maintenance people don't clean properly, and washcloths weren't replaced a couple of times, but the worst part was when I dropped my earring under the bed. It's clear that it wasn't cleaned under there for several months. I kept sneezing and realized it was my dust allergies. Also, the floors in the showers were gross. In addition to not being cleaned properly (like my used Band-Aid on the bathroom floor for 2 days until I threw it out), the tiles were chipped and dirty. The bathroom floors definitely needed a refresh. Worst of all was that Room 126 didn't have hot water. After taking several cold showers over 4 days, we had to call maintenance every time we needed to take a hot shower. Starting your birthday off with a cold shower is not my idea of a good time. On the 5th day of our 8-day trip, I complained to the manager and was sent to a better room with working hot water. It is clear that they knew the room had problems. They should fix it or not assign anyone to it. Finally, the island had several blackouts and we were left with no electricity. So even when we changed rooms, we had no lights or hot water. Two outages lasted over 2 hours, but one day we didn't have electricity from about 10:15am to after 1am. Other resorts had generators, but not this one. Invest in the property!

Hotel was beautiful, check in was easy, beautiful infinity pool and delicious food from the restaurant however, we were told the power would be off the next day, but was not informed that the hot water heaters were electrical. We were forced to take cold showers. Not really a big deal. You’re in a tropical region, but it would have been nice for the hotel to be Honest in its entirety. We were unaware that everything was electrical. The manager said he was unable to compensate us for the inconvenience!

Overall positive stay

We definitely enjoyed our stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice pool and beach. It did seem like there wasn’t great attention to detail in cleaning/maintaining rooms. I.E. missing tiles in splash pool, dirty shower grout, lots of chipped paint, etc. if mobility is an issue, may need to check on what floor your room is on. We stayed in pent house (3rd floor), and stairs were only option, which fortunately was no issue for us.

Room was just okay. The couch was uncomfortable and the outside furniture was falling apart. The look of the resort from the street was underwhelming… disappointing

Quiet and safe area north of San Pedro downtown. We did the local flights and transfer offered from the hotel which was a nice way to transfer however they bake in a 2 hour connection in Belize city which is a long time for a tiny airport. Luckily we got on standby for the earlier flight. Hotel has a beach area but the water was murky with a lot of sea grass basically making it not swimmable. This was a big disappointment. I know many parts of the island have rocky waterfronts but I picked this hotel hoping to be able to swim in the ocean. They did clear seaweed from the sandy beach area. Pool was very nice! Food was pretty good but pricey. We had a 2 bedroom with kitchen and laundry which was spacious. Rooms/bathrooms/toiletry were all fairly basic/simple given the price point of the hotel. Staff were friendly/helpful but service was definitely slow and small things were forgotten We rented a golf cart to get to town and to secret beach! Plan on it as there is not a lot to do at the hotel. Overall nice place to stay but they can make small improvements (upgrade showers/toiletries, better service when ordering food/drinks, etc)

The transportation provided to and from the resort was efficient. Our 2 bedroom deluxe room was basic; but nice. We enjoyed the beautiful pool. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Enjoyed the use of the kayaks and stand up paddle boards. We had minor issues in the deluxe room that were addressed immediately when we brought them to our attention. We would definitely stay again.

The staff was terrible, our experience in this hotel was the worse in Belize, everything else amazing. This hotels is over value and rated, there is more and better options in Belize

The resort was amazing, staff treated us with kindness, and our children were safe to roam around the property. They provided tours and golf carts. The cabanas, fishing poles, kayaks are first come basis, however when we went the resort was never crowded. Truley an amazing time with beautiful scenery.

Property in pictures looks nice. Pool area small but ok. Room we had 3 bedroom. Bathrooms knob were broken. At night they turned off the water so couldn’t flush. The outhouse bathroom on top floor ants everywhere at night.

From the first moment you step on the property you are greeted with a rum punch, plenty of welcoming smiles from truly first-class staff. The staff were completely attentive to our needs, assisted us with three excellent dive opportunities, and everyone from the restaurant staff to front desk and beach made us feel so very special. A beautiful place. Cannot recommend it enough. We will be back!!!

Everything about the property was amazing! We stayed in a Sea House and everything from the house to the grounds, pool, and especially the staff was great. The hotel is a few minutes out of town, which I think made it so much better! Just far enough from the noise and craziness, but close enough for a short golf cart ride to dining, shopping and everything! The only thing I would change is to have a few more options on the menu in the restaurant dinner.

Good

The suite we stayed in was beautiful and clean! There is only one restaurant on the property though, so eating got stale real quick. Other thing I didn’t enjoy wasit costs $80 usd per day to rent a cart to get around in the town, so we spend the time relaxing in the resort for the duration of our stay. The beach area was just okay, there was A LOT of sea grass (which is what the staff called it) which makes the water appear darker than it is and also left an itchy water experience.

Las Terrazas was the BOMB!

Our stay at Las Terrazas was nothing short of phenomenal! This was a milestone birthday/girl's trip and it was fabulous! From the moment we stepped foot on the property, we were greeted by personable and professional staff, Belizean Rum punch and welcome mini-massages! What a start! Also, I can't forget about "J the Prophet" and his skipper picking us up from the airport going to the hotel. They made it a fun and pleasant ride 8 minute boat ride! Also, upon our arrival, the staff upgraded us to the penthouse which was fabulous! The private pool is all that! There was also a complimentary bottle of wine in our suite. Our penthouse suite was exceptionally clean and stayed that way the whole time by Maria. She also took care of our special room requests as well. Although there was a small issue with some dinner bills, it was quickly resolved by Luz (Lucy) and Yanissa. Yanissa, Lucy, Maria and "D" the Happy hour DJ took care of us but there were about 7 more staff members that deserve the credit too. I cannot remember all of the names. But because of you all, when we return to Belize, we will definitely stay at this property again. Thank you for making my 50th birthday milestone memorable! You better BELIZE I'll be back! :-)

Nice property with spacious and current decor. Restaurant and staff were excellent. Pool is refreshing and central. The spa services were fantastic. Amenities missing were a gym and a hot tub. Lagoon facing unit”s description did not mention that the 2nd bathroom was on the 2nd floor, not attached to the unit and not air-conditioned. That was a big detractor and that bathroom was not used because of those conditions.

Staff was so friendly, wonderful and helpful. Hooked us up with great excursions and dinner reservations. Convenient to dent golf cart on property. Pool area beautiful! Comfy beds and nice layout of rooms/condos. Would definitely go back!

Gorgeous property right on the water. Very attentive staff. Convenient golf cart rentals right on the property. Only complaints, which applies to most restaurants we visited on the island...they DO NOT put alcohol in your cocktails! We were really frustrated by this all over the island. Otherwise, it was a fantastic place and we would stay there again.

The resort is beautiful and well kept. Rooms are extremely clean. Staff are genuinely kind and welcoming. Management extremely attentive. We had a beach front room, which also had a pool view—absolutely amazing!! We will definitely come again. We rented a golf cart (standard transportation for San Pedro) and it was a fun and lovely ride (10-15 minutes) to and from downtown as well as to the famous Secret Beach. This place is a gem, wouldn’t stay anywhere else! Special thanks to Bernie and Manager Steve for making us feel like family.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. They were helpful with recommendations for dinner and excursions. We took a golf cart into San Pedro almost every day and felt safe. I am a single father and had three teenage girls with me.

Mediocre stay

We really wanted to like this place as it was the end of our Belizean vacation, but it ended up being our least favorite of 4 places we stayed in Belize. Candice and Jahphet are excellent, but the rest of our interactions with staff were mediocre. We had problems with Wifi, serious plumbing issues, lack of electricity in many outlets, and despite very expensive drinks at the bar, the taste varied significantly from good to completely undrinkable. Its a beautiful property, but we just ended up leaving disappointed.

We stayed at this property over a decade ago when it was first being built. At the time the O Restaurant wasn’t even open. Great to see how everything turned out! Location is amazing, short trip to secret beach, restaurants and activities on the North Side. Facilities are clean, staff is great, food is delicious and reasonably priced. If you are an Expedia Gold member the upgrade is awesome. 5/5

This resort was average at best based on other places we have stayed in Central America. The food was limited and the same menu all week. Not a lot of chooses and they were always out of something. The restaurant staff for the most part where below average with the exception of Daphiay. She was friendly and always had a smile. Most people working here never smiled.

Las terrazas is a beautiful well kept place Staff is attentive and professional, it is located far from center of town but close to secret beach, my only issue was the lack / variety of food, they only have one restaurant with limited choices and not very good food we had dinner and breakfast once then decided to eat elsewhere . Pool area is nice with plenty of chairs and towels, water temperature was pleasant. Overall place is very good except for their restaurant.
