The location is great, but this property is old and shows the typical signs of an outdated hotel. The constant noise of the 'banda' bands all afternoon ruin any peace and tranquility you may be hoping to get. Beach vendors will interrupt your sleep or reading every minute - and that's not an exaggeration. The staff, or course, are attentive and efficient.

Great hotel, close to everything. Room was nice with a great view. However I have to say the beds were very hard. They close one of the two pools everyday at different times for different periods of time. Seems to be no pattern. Just a small inconvenience , but overall a nice hotel with friendly staff.

This hotel is good great location the only bad thing about it was food menu could be a little better food is ok and the worse thing was that the room floor IF WET are extremely dangerous i feel with my 4 month old baby hurt my elbow bad . El hotel y las instalaciones ya estan viejas y descuidadas. Hace 20 anos solia hospedarme en este hotel y era espectacular y por eso decidi regresar pero ya no es lo mismo. La ubicacion sigue siendo muy buena, centrica y puedes ir caminando a muchos lugares como al malecon, a la playa, a comer al Panama, bares y muchas opciones de restaurantes pero las instalaciones ya son viejas y descuidadas. La atencion del personal es buena y todos son muy amables. Sigue siendo un hotel bastante accesible. Lo que si me molesto muchisimo es la banda en la playa todo el dia todo el tiempo incluso hasta altas horas de la noche, el hotel no tiene la culpa de esto pero es bastante molesto. Me quede en el piso 11 y hasta aya se escuchaba la banda de la playa.

We never got to . Our plane canceled our flight and we missed the total eclipse and it was my birthday. we planned over 6 months for this. they could have given us the days at another time. Instead as it was not our fault they just made a bad situation worse. Hotels .com used to be great in helping not now that they are with expedia. vacation and b-day ruined.

We liked the location of the property. So many restaurants near by and lots to see and do. The only downfall is the Bandas playing on the beach. They are so loud and we really couldn't call it music that they were playing. They made sitting on the beach almost unbearable. It was so loud that there was no way you could have a nice relaxing afternoon on the beach. They should be restricted to playing away from the beach. Not sure where they should play but definately not there. Also when we asked for chairs to be brought down to the beach we were often told there weren't any but yet when people from the cruise ships came to the beach they found all kinds of chairs for them. We paid to stay at the resort but felt that we didn't matter.

Rooms are not as pictured. Very old

No hand cream, water, coffee filters or coffee in room. Very limited food menu. No complementary coffee in lobby. No breakfast buffet. Older hotel. Will not stay there again.

The first room they showed us, we rejected. It was very old , broken furniture. The next one had been updated with the same layout, but had to pay extra to stay in it. Also the beds were very hard. Other than that they kept it very clean everyday and was ok

A lot of money for an old hotel with no water pressure and old beds with uncomfortable mattresses. Waited 5 minutes each day for water to turn warm but just a very light flow from shower. Pool location parking and towel service fantastic. Great water temperature and large jacuzzi. Easy beach access. Ordered upon arrival but service so slow did not use restaurant again. Cleaning service fantastic. Kitchen appliances and utensils ample.

Needs an upgrade in pillows and mattresses. Mattress was very firm but maybe that is a matter of preference.

The place cost the same as the Marriot. I wasn’t able to cancel 24hrs before check in. Therefore I took the risk but the place is very bad. Will never go back neither recommend.

Great location, beach front, walkable to shops and restaurants. Staff are friendly and helpful. Wifi was on and off at the beginning of our stay. Beachfront can get noisy when the bands start in the afternoon and the hotel gets very busy when cruise ships come in. Older hotel but very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed our stay!

We had no hot water and very low water pressure. Came back one afternoon and are room smelled like an outhouse on a hot summer day. We had to move to another resort and have all of our clothes washed to get the smell out.

Good price and excellent service

Staff was amazingly helpful, accommodating and polite. cleanliness was good. have one restaurant but many dinning options are withing safe walking distance, beach location was very convenient. We did not like the beds, beds were hard, so did not get good sleep, staff tried their best to put foam cushion to accommodate but still was hard for us to get a good sleep, also the all night Mariachi availability was a sleep disruption. Bathrooms were very small, safe deposit boxes at the reception area, beach towels not available before 10 AM, so it is good idea to get the towel day before to get a good beach umbrella in the morning. It is an old resort but with best they can do modern twist. They certainly need to upgrade wifi, it was very slow. My hat off to a very polite and helpfull staff, Ana was very great also the restaurant steff.

I have stayed at this facility several times. It is a perfect location for my needs. The rooms are dated and need to be updated. I have been told that they have updated some rooms, so possibly that will continue.

We have insects and cockroaches in our room. Also, the AC was not working. They moved us from two different rooms. I wasted more time moving around then having a pleasant small get away. I also got over charge by one of the waiters and had to talk to the supervisor to get my right check

The 2 elevators were slow with minimum capacity of 2 people. We upgraded room to a king suite with jacuzzi on the balcony, the jets on the jacuzzi did not work and the mattress was brick hard. The view was outstanding, the staff was very friendly and there is a lot of shops and dining options close by. We liked the entire property. Close to other stores for shopping and restaurants close by to go get food. Rooms were excellent, had excellent ac conditioning and they were clean. A thing we didn’t like is that the elevators were always taking too much time for people to get to their rooms. We end up having to go through stairs to get there fast to leave our luggage and everything else. Hopefully it can improve transportation to the rooms.

Perfect Valentine's Day spot! We will be back. The hot tub rooms are amazing! Best view of the beach and you can enjoy the privacy of having your own mini pool (does take forever to fill up and was a little dirty but its expected with wind/sand). Our room had a kitchen and a full table and living room area to relax during our stay. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good deal on a hotel close to the action. Close to Panama making it a quick and easy walk.

Excellent for the price and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were perfect for my family's needs. Refrigerator wasn't working when we got to the room and maintenance came fast and resolved the problem with in minutes. Everyone made us feel very welcome. Thanks for a great stay.

it was in the middle of every thing

View was spectacular. Can’t beat the location. Staff was super friendly building is a little older but clean and well cared for. Beds were very hard and wifi was not good at all. I would definitely go back

The ocean view

The staff were very friendly and helpful so this review is not a reflection of them. The room was satisfactory but not the cleanest. The pool area is is desperate need of a renovation and the elevator to our room was old and rickety. The stairwell which we like to use, did not have a railing. The price for a local beer was ridiculous @ $5 cad especially when you consider the significant increase in price has not resulted in the staff being paid more. Still only making 173 pesos/day which is approximately $13 cad. Everything on the menu was overpriced however in their defence everything all over the tourist areas is significantly higher this year over past years. Like I said, staff were wonderful and we tipped generously. Resort was a thumbs down

Overall, the hotel was quite good and located very conveniently. However, we tried food in the hotel restaurant ONCE but would never do it again - not very good. Also, there were always kids in adult pool. I excuse the customers because the pool water in the kids pool was frigid.

lovely view. Good location. Room keys always had to be reloaded daily. Some confusion over wrist bands. My partner was escorted to the desk to get one on our 3rd day there. I never got asked once. Discrimination.

Property was awesome. Only had a few things that sucked. We lost most of our groceries first day cause fridge was missing freezer door so the whole fridge ended up freezing everything. The patio door didn’t lock we ask for it to be fixed but it didn’t solve the problem. The facility is really clean and not overly busy except when cruise ship shows up. A lot of regulars go down early and reserve chairs and hate when people are allowed to do that cause a lot sat vacant all day. The staff are awesome and the food at restaurant is really good.

Very safe area and entertainement.

Had booked 13 nights through Expedia. Arrived at the front desk and they claimed they had no record of my reservation. We knew something was up when even when presented with the printed confirmation they had no record of the booking. Of course they had the room available and after a long wait we were led up to our room by a porter who insisted on carrying our suitcases on his ginormous handcart. These were bags that were easily rolled. We took up the whole elevator. Room was ragged with really shoddily built shower, low water pressure, inconsistent temperature, a none private balcony, band aid on the floor, ultra tiny beds (full-size not double), worst mattress and pillows we’ve ever encountered, no wash cloths, questionable locks on the main door and balcony, etc. To top it off there’s no safe in the room. Reviews made it obvious room theft was a issue here. Place was so sketchy we found a rental house and checked out the next morning. When leaving the room with our suitcases the maid who was obviously waiting for us to leave for the day asked if we were checking out. We said yes and she quickly pulled out here phone and went into our room. The staff actually stalled the elevator hoping we’d miss checkout and be charged another day. Stay away from this place and Mazatlan. We were short changed and ripped off everywhere. This place is only suitable for a cruise port stop for us now.

Home away from Home

The Las Flores Resort is very accommodating. The building is not new but is well maintained. Personnel are very sensitive to clients concerns and take action quickly to alieviate them. Room service is available and are very prompt. Room cleaning services are excellent. Very happy with the stay.

After many previous stays I am disappointed this trip with spotty or non-existent wifi in our room. I will return at least one more time because of the great location but the general maintenance of our room this year is also less than previous standards.

I didn't like the way the housekeeping lady tryed 2 times to sneak into our room... when we had said already we didn't want service and even hang the paper outide the door that says do not disturb and she kept going hoping she would fine the room alone to go thru our things...&' there was no hot water in our room #410.... The pool on the left hand side had one of the lights popped out with the wires our and I told the lifeguard and he said it was fine.!!! Which is completely not safe at all, having live cables underwater "just imagine"

Pool area and beach ok. Check in a nightmare. One night emergency staying, and they did not show any flexibility in one mistake i made while booking, that includes expedia agent.the hotel tried to change a lot of extra money fir the check in.

This is an older hotel that has had some upgrades It is right on the beach I’m the golden zone walking distance to all kinds of shopping and dining Rooms have kitchenette that’s nice . Your web site stated that their was safes in the rooms. That was false and makes it hard for me to trust your companies for any future bookings. I also booked a trip to Playa Del Carmen with your company. a few years ago. I paid for round trip airport transportation that I never received. When I tried to talk on the phone many times your agents left me on hold and never responded to me. I am done with using the Expedia Group.

This is the worst hotel ever! One of the beds had dry blood all over the pillow and sheets. Unfortunately we were so tired when we got there we didn’t realize it till the check out time. My poor son slept on it and now I feel disgusted about it. And very mad at myself for not checking the beds out when we got there! Take this dirty hotel off Orbitz.

It’s in a great location, walking distance to everything! The rooms are outdated, not a big deal for the price but the first room I got was infested with cockroaches and mold in the bathroom, they did switch my room and everything was clean. The pools are clean the jacuzzi was filled with kids and water looked dirty, the beach is good lots of entertainment from the live music and waiters will come out and take your food/beverage order. You have to rent your own shade and chairs and the hotel doesn’t provide them for you, they have limited amount of palapas which are all taken by 7am every morning .In short, you get what you pay for but definitely other hotels in the area with similar rates that looked better.

Over charged twice for food, make sure to ask for receipt otherwise you’ll never know. The larger pool was always dirty filled with plastic and cigarettes and on one occasion there was vomit. All the alcoholic beverages were either bitter or tasteless. Cleaning services was great I stayed in a suite and always came back to clean sheets,towels, and dishes. Over all not that great of a stay.
