Easy to find. Convenient to town centre.

Hi Tony, Carrina and family Lake Dunstan Motel is indeed a hidden gem in Cromwell. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your lovely classic motel with its peaceful surroundings and the views of the golf course and the hill/mountains in the background. Loved having our breakfast outdoors . We shall definitely return to it in the future. All the best. Khushi and Dave

Quiet country stay

Very quiet overnight stay in Lake Dunstan on the way home after a long travel day.

Simple and clean

Simple clean and safe. The room was not fancy but well appointed and clean.

A larger TV and a coffee table for tea/coffee would be something to consider. Just suggestions as it was excellent and we would definitely stay again. Lovely large rooms, very comfy bed, clean, etc.

Loved Our Stay Here!

Great room and very clean. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom a bit dated, but everything in it worked well. Loved the kitchen with a good sized fridge. Servicing of room was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The property area is quiet and overlooks a golf course. We will definitely stay here again and recommend to other travelers.

Everything you need

Great place to stay. I was only there for the night, but found the unit to be clean and perfect for what I needed. Lots of room with a separate kitchen area and large wet floor bathroom, which was perfect since I am still recovering from knee surgery. Will book again in the future.

I liked that my host was most obliging and accommodating of my requests at short notice. The room was warm and super clean and comfortable. I am certainly going to make it my motel of choice when I travel to the area in the future and recommend it to others. A lovely view of the golf course out the ranchslider, a private outdoor area, and plenty of room for children. thank you - ex-hotelier

Our stay was lovely, the only downside was trying to get hold of someone in reception. But just called the main line and someone came. Great place to stay.

Excellent location across the road from the town centre, and next to the golf course. Very friendly owner. Well appointed unit with provision to charge and store electric bikes.

Great Motel to stay it is central to all attractions less than an hour away from Cromwell. The only down side is that there were three outdoor heat pump units that resonated a drumming noise through out the night while trying to sleep. Would definitely stay again but in a different unit.

Rooms were clean, tidy and spacious. Beautiful outlook over the golf course.

It has a lovely view, being situated next to the golf course, and is so close to restaurants and shops, we could just walk over for dinner. We would definitely stay here again.

My stay here was very enjoyable. The check in/out process was very quick, with a friendly host. The unit, while being an older style, is modern, in excellent condition and very warm and comfortable. The view out across the golf course was pleasant. It was also a quiet location. The location is very central in close proximity to the historic precinct and the central shopping area.

The view from our room was very scenic and relaxing.

Happy at the Lake Dunstan Motel

The location was central and within walking distance to CBD. It was a quiet, private unit for our two nights away.

Location was very good, handy to shops and restaurants. After we had registered and paid we were then informed that our room would not be serviced as it was a public holiday the next day and he didn’t want to pay staff to clean. This was not a problem for us but maybe a discount could of been offered.

Great location easy walk to mall or restaurants. We had room 8 an had great view of the golf course no road noise that I noticed. Room had everything you could need. Be my first choice of booking a room if we stay in cromwell again

Great welcoming motel close to Cromwell centre

I booked this motel after reading the positive reviews from other visitors. I had a great reception from the owner upon arrival who provided lots of information about the local area and recommended restaurants, walks, wineries and activities. The room was very clean and was what I expected - the owner told me that there is extensive redevelopment work happening in the motel at the moment. Shops, cafes and restaurants are within a short walking distance (5 minutes) and the historic district of Cromwell is about a 20-minute walk, or short drive. Would definitely recommend.

Lake Brunner Motel review

The motel was rather tired and $150 per night was rather too much to pay for a unit that needed a substantial upgrade.

Perfect location, friendly helpful owners Would stay here again.
