The staff experience was below expectation and unacceptable.
Florence from reception and Perry from reservations was amazing and the gentleman that checked me out was very helpful. Room service attendants were amazing.
The labadi hotel comes highly recommended. The food is excellent and the service is pretty good. There’s private beach access footsteps away from the hotel. The spa was also quite excellent. There are a lot of families and day pass holders on the weekends so be prepared for that. Otherwise during the week and earlier in the morning, you might just have a gigantic pool to yourself! I had some issues with air conditioner and had to be moved twice, they offered a later check out and a complimentary fruit plate.

Awesome; royal treatment. Feeling of the prodigal son returning home. Delicious food, beautiful hosts;
Good quality hotel with a lot of staff, all pleasant, courteous and pretty well trained. Spacious room with good air con. Pleasant lobby area and pool area. Food of good quality and variety. Concierge helpful and attentive. Outdoor areas pleasant, very clean and tidy. Good security- felt very safe.
The best hotel stay in Ghana
There was additional charges added to my stay that were not the same when booked through expedia.
My husband and I have stayed here twice and we always have a wonderful stay. The hotel is beautiful, access to the beach is excellent, and the pools are warm and great for swimming. And the food is delicious with lots of Ghanaian dishes.
Staff is excellent
Great food, great hospitality, great atmosphere
My stay here was wonderful. Bharati was an amazing help. Best breakfast at a hotel I've had. The hotel was very clean also! Did not see a single hair on the bed. All the staff was very kind in the restaurant. The private beach area was very nice.
Great experience of Ghanaian culture. Would love more local food options!
Property is ok. Very dated and old. Definitely not 5 stars you would expect in most countries. Place has looked same for decades. Not sure why they don’t modernize the hotel. Not an amazing experience for such an expensive rate.
Hard working and dedicated staff, excellent food and restaurants, comfortable amenities with the pool, gym, spa and beach…BUT: The buildings and infrastructure are suffering. My building had obviously incurred some water damage and the mildew smell was very noticeable. The team were trying to mask it as best they could. The AC in the room was decrepit, barely cooled, and made a grinding noise.
Do Not Stay at Labadi Beach Hotel
We left after the first night!! The patio door was non-functioning. The desk clerk charged in USD when I specifically requested local currency. The room floor was continually wet. Air conditioning unit was leaking. Decor is outdated and rooms have a musty odor. This is NOT a 5-star hotel. Double check your folio for billing errors. Stay elsewhere in Accra.
This place is nice !
Have stayed at Labadi Beach before, great service, great amenities BUT there is a string mildew smell in the rooms that needs attention. Besides that, its great
Stunning
Amazing
OH MY GOD….!!!
The Labadi Beach Hotel is an absolutely stunning hotel. I gave this hotel 5 stars because it was very well deserved. From the time I got in I realised straight away that this was gonna be really special. All staff were fantastic, very helpful and extremely polite. They were very attentive to my needs.. The hotel itself is beautiful and well maintained.. I can’t fault this hotel at all and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Accra Well down Labadi Beach and all members of staff. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I came to labadi 25 years ago it’s very similar and I’m really impressed with the standard. Food and staff great Only disappointment was 6am going to the gym and there were 4 very drunk people two girls and middle aged men swimming in the pool . This was a shame as the hotel was fabulous and loved the beauty event thank you
Beautiful and good service.
All Around Fantastic Stay!
The stay at Labadi beach was fantastic! No complaints, this was my first time to Ghana and I am so happy that I picked this hotel. Coming from Los Angeles, I am usually very picky about hotels. My priority is cleanliness, and this hotel was always clean, and the staff were working around the clock to ensure that the grounds were clean. I was visiting with colleagues, who all felt the same way. The beds were comfortable, although they were what we would call "twin" beds and not the standard "queen" that you would get in a double room. Breakfast was delicious every morning, the quality of food was amazing. The lobby, spa, pool area, and gym were all great.
This property was clean and beautiful. Nice hotel to stay at.
Beautiful hotel: Needs to focus on detail
Property is beautiful, yet the beach nearby is dirty. Service was poor with my telephone not working (or getting fixed in spite of numerous requests). Also had electrical problems that took a while to fix. Ate some suspect food, which left me feeling a bit off
Beautiful property but tired and in need of renovation. Fantastic location. Great staff.
Good place to stay
Our stay here was fantastic, the staff is Amazing and very friendly and they have great food and drink options. This was a great place to relax for a few days.
The staff at the Labadi Beach Hotel made my first trip to Ghana comfortable. They even acknowledged and celebrated me on my birthday with a birthday song, complimentary dessert and beverages! The rooms were clean. The daily complimentary breakfast service was a nice touch, especially the pineapple, guava and orange juices. The dining experience was top notch, items on the menu were fairly priced. I would have given Labadi a 5 star rating but on several occasions housekeeping failed to provide me with clean washrags after they cleaned my room. Also, my room was too far away, located 2-3 blocks from the hotel's main reception area.
I enjoyed my stay here. Everyone was pleasant.
Loved my stay there.
It was cleansnd beautiful. The staff was professional and kind.
Good hotel near coast line in Accra
Good hotel. Four star quality. Breakfast is good. People friendly. Would stay again
Labadi Beach Hotel is beautiful. The staff is wonderful. Maya was most helpful and considerate. She helped locate my luggage list by the airline. Peter the driver was also terrific and helpful. The private beach is small but nice with amenities and staff. The pools are beautiful. Breakfast is a nice mix of English/American favorites and Ghana dishes. Room service was excellent.
Overall the experience at the property was excellent. The check in was not as smooth as the lady checking us in was almost militaristic in her mannerisms. We, checked in as a group and that could have been smoother. By the end she relaxed her ways and the property and offerings made for a great experience.
The customer service was off the chain
This place is wonderful!!! Great staff, delicious food, great location on the beach. Can’t wait to visit again!
Nice stay
My wife and I had an amazing time at our the Labadi Beach Hotel. The entire staff were completely professional and attended to every one of our needs. Our room was very clean and contained everything needed for a comfortable stay. My only small complaint would be to relocate wall power outlets closer to the end tables, next to the bed. Would definitely stay here again, on our next visit.
I had a group of 13 family members staying 10 days the property was so nice, beautiful and accommodating to us all. I celebrated my Birthday at the resort. The walk right out to the Beach was Amazing the pool and pool bar were also Awesome.
Clean,well kept area,
It was a very nice hotel lovely beach awesome service good food overall..excellent place
Receptionist
Two-night stay
Overall, I felt my accommodation was good. Security around the property and hotel amenities were great. However, my shower hand sprayer didn't work my entire stay. Housekeeping said they would put in a maintenance request however, by the time it would have been completed I would have already departed the hotel. Additionally, I think the hotel service could use some improvement. For example, when I attempted to pay for a dinner I ordered via credit card, the server informed me their card system wasn't working and I had to pay in cash. As a result, the staff followed me to my room so I could clear the bill because I didn't have enough cash on me to cover the charges. Personally, I would have been better served by billing my room account for the difference.
Staff was awesome
Not worth the money
I will not stay here again, not worth the 5 stars rating. Property grounds are nice and that is it. The rooms had nothing more the a 3 star hotel would. The shower was dirty with some black substance, I don’t want to say mold but nasty.
Very convenient. Entertainment, spa, food and amenities all easy to access. Staff were respectful and very helpful. Breakfast was on point with freshness and variety everyday. Highly recommend for a true vacation spot with no stress.
I was checked in by Sandra - who I thought was a good addition to the team at the hotel. She mentioned she has been there for just 6 months but handled it efficiently and with all smiles and keeping you updated throughout the process
It was really a great experience from the whole team…. From the general manager to staff… At the reception- Sandra - for an example- checked me in and out effortlessly and with smiles on. I think she’s a great addition to the team at LBH. The restaurant staff and bar were also great
Beautiful hotel with wonderful, friendly, helpful staff. Lovely pool area with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. Good choice of food with different buffet evenings. The music played during the day round the pool was way too loud and occasionally inappropriate. At the front was a major road with nothing else close by, absolutely not a problem, 10 minute drive into Akkra. The beach, although beautiful is full of plastic bags and rubbish, as is the sea and we didnt swim in it. It's really sad to see and really, really, really needs cleaning up!
It’s was okay though the hotel was overpriced and the air conditioning in our didn’t work well for three of the 6 nights we were there and towels were hard to come by
The hotel was lovely and staff very accommodating. Teresa at the front desk was able to help me arrange a later checkout to better coincide with my flight schedule, which was much appreciated (& the extra cost was completely fair). The food was delicious for both breakfast and lunch. The spa was very nice, & both Dora & Jakie took great care of me. The hotel was quite busy during my stay but everyone still worked to ensure I was happy & cared for. The beach & pool area are gorgeous and relaxing. I would absolutely stay here again.
Good central location.
Confortable hotel which they are in the process of upgrading. Good facilities on site, hairdressers, spa, restaurants and bars.
Truly enjoyed my stay at Labadi Beach. The breakfast was great and the staff was very helpful.
The only improvement is the housekeeping takes too long to respond to requests. The reception and concierge handled it though. Everyone was very friendly and professional
Lovely hotel right next to the beach.
Exceptional service
I booked this hotel for the last day of our stay in Ghana celebrating my best friends 60th birthday. On arrival, I asked if there was anything small they could do to mark the occasion. Florence, on reception, went above and beyond the call of duty and arranged for our bed to be decorated in petals with the words 'happy birthday'; the towels were scultpted into a birthday cake; and the staff surprised my friend by singing happy birthday during dinner. All staff were exceptional - bar staff, waiters/waitresses, spa staff, etc. Thank you soooooooo much!!!
Exceptional hospitality
Receptionist and environment
Great place, only issue was the locals constantly begging & offering services after you have said no.
Perfect hotel
My stay at Labadi has been a long time coming and it did not disappoint. Overall my stay here was amazing. Hats off to the chef(s) at the hotel the succulent food that is served throughout on the a la carte menu is amazing. Everything I ate from this menu I enjoyed from the “Tilapia and banku to the “Lazy aged South African beef” and the “Falafel’s” absolutely mouth watering. The hotel is clean and tidy and the beautiful gardens are well maintained. I stayed in a superior room which was a decent size. The staff were very attentive. My only minor negative which is easily resolved is I’m not sure why housekeeping are cleaning out rooms late in the evening 9/10pm particularly when the standard check out time is 12 noon. Although the hotel has direct access to the beach it is not private and it can get very busy and very noisy during official holidays such as Christmas or constitution day. Overall I would definitely return to the hotel.
Very nice
Good hotel stay
It was great. The only downside was that the staff who welcomed/checked me in was rather rude and not very warm. However from the porter to the the cleaners were all excellent professionals and the hotel was warm and comfortable and I would love to come back if the check n would be a better experience.
Great property
I stayed at the hotel for a week , felt very safe and welcomed. Staff were lovely but a bit too slow sometimes ( got my latte 1h after ordering) and the noise coming from nearby Polo Beach Club is insane. They play extremely loud music until 4 am everyday. There is no way you can possibly have a restful night so the rooms need to be soundproof desperately. The food was amazing and overall experience lovely . I would recommend this place for sure and I will be back soon:) Solo female traveler .
I stayed at Labadi beach hotel twice during my stay in Ghana. The first time I was given an amazing room in the new building 3. Everything modern updated and clean and elevator available. The second time I stayed I had to add in a night and the room was in one of the old buildings, number 1. There was a roach my partner killed for me, a moldy smell, and when the key stopped working they did not help my partner easily as I was in the shower I couldn’t come down and talk to them at the time. However the breakfast was great and had a large selection and the staff was very welcoming and helpful. The pools are immaculate and the private beach is also great and feels safe. I would only want them to update the other buildings to the same level as the new one I would never want to say in the old building again.
The hotel needs to have a team of individuals cleaning the beach line behind the hotel. The sunset was absolutely gorgeous, but there was so much trash on the beach. The experience would have been flawless if we had weren’t trying to avoid or dodge the trash along the beach.
Lives up to its brand. Would highly recommend it to others.
Excellent services, restaurant options, and bar services.
Very beautiful hotel and very good staff. Didn’t like two things: 1) had to call a few times to have full set of towels in the bathroom (one time, no washcloths; second time, no hand towels), 2) 1st night TV not working, called for help at 10pm (told someone will be there to fix soon), and again at 11pm, finally called again at 1am to indicate we were going to bed and we’ll have to follow up again in the morning - this is not good customer service. Later apologies fell flat.
I thought for the price, the property was not worth it.
I would definitely stay there again! The property itself was great! The free daily breakfast buffet was a reason we chose the location. Both breakfast and dinner buffets had a good selection of tasty foods. So did the ala carte and room service menus. It seems we came at the beginning of the hot season (Nov) and it's hot and humid! The facility was clean with a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately the air conditioning in our room didn't get as cold as we wanted. Maintenance came to look at it and was supposed to return while we were out to service it, but we don't believe they did. It wasn't unbearable, but warm for us at nite especially with the thick comforter on the bed with no flat sheet. Not having a flat sheet on the bed may not matter to men but most women understand the importance of it. The public beach is right behind the hotel and is a very popular place for locals. It also was dirty with a lot of trash. All four of us had AMAZING massages at the spa that we booked another one on the day we leave! We had to wait almost an hour to check in which was unpleasant after a long day and 10 hour flight. Beware that if the hotel gets "fully booked" on your day of checkout, you will be required to check out at 10 even though we were told at check in that checkout was at noon. We woke up to a letter that was slipped under our doors in the early morning informing us of the 10 a.m. checkout time. After speaking with the front desk we were allowed to stay until 12 p m.
Wonderful and friendly staff
The beach club can be quite noisy some nights. Would be good to have an extra toilet roll in the room as one doesn’t always let the whole day. The friendliest staff I have ever come across and the place is magical
We loved our time at the Labadi Beach Resort. There was no gift shop or place to purchase incidental items or special items to remember our time there. We would have appreciated a gift shop or small store. The food was amazing, the staff was incredible, and we loved it!
Make sure you visit on Friday otherwise it can be boring if you are solo. Overall it is an old property with some nice colonial type setup which I don't mind. The let downs are the TV stations which are few and always with static, the slightly more expensive room rates and high prices for food and beverages. Am also not sure why they don't work in concert with their neighbours to clean the beach. In short, nice place but sad to see it less utilised on Saturday and Sundays.
The staff was very efficient, professional, and accommodating. The head front desk person, Bhakmari, was excellent. Massage therapists Dora and Agnes were exceptionally good. The staff made us feel very welcome.
Amazing place to stay
Comfortable and Quiet
Hotel furniture is a little dated, otherwise service was good, the breakfast was fantastic. We enjoyed our stay here.
Awesome property did not disappoint -Terrace restaurant food was a bit inconsistent but overall liked the property and will return - Phenomenal Spa !
One of the best hotel experiences of my life.
Title: Mixed Experience at the Hotel Rating: ★★★☆☆ I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. While the cleanliness and quality of food were commendable, there were a few aspects that left me disappointed. On the positive side, the hotel was well-maintained and kept clean throughout my stay. The food served at the hotel's restaurant was excellent, offering a variety of delicious options. However, I found the prices for drinks and dinner to be quite steep, which made dining at the hotel a costly affair. Additionally, the transportation services provided by the hotel were expensive compared to more affordable alternatives like Uber. Furthermore, the beach experience was marred by persistent solicitors constantly approaching guests to buy various items, which detracted from the relaxing atmosphere I had hoped for. Considering the high costs and limited activities on the property, I personally would not choose to return to this hotel. It may be worth exploring other options that offer better value for money and a more enjoyable overall experience.
The bathroom around the toilet and floors were not cleaned daily.
Sadly disappointed
I wish I did not have to say the experience was disappointing! But it was!! A visit to one of the restaurants left my son and I extremely I’ll after eating a seafood pizza! The room was very small and felt really cramped and not comfortable. On the plus side however the staff were very helpful and understood that we needed extra time in the room to get over a dodgy tummy! I wouldn’t say never again, but not any time soon!
Loved the food options, pool and the close proximity to the beach. Not to forget the party vibes, great music and delicious cocktails
Rooms were smelling and toilet was left unclean. My room had to be changed twice. Overall the lawn and landscape was excellent. Not an experience to repeat. At best a 2-3 star ranking.
Very clean property, service outstanding. Property not visually outstanding, just lacking the “wow factor” somehow . Food was good but again not amazing.
The room and even the hotel's reception smelled musty. I have my personal room freshener but it still did not mask the smell
The property is just dated but overall I absolutely LOVED my stay! The staff are all so friendly and helpful! They go out of their way for you! The food is delicious, the pool and spa are great! The gym could use some work, but it’s still manageable. Hard to go to the beach because of all the panhandlers, but the hotel has great security. They have 24 hour room service, and a breakfast buffet. I will be going back to this hotel. I loved it!
The surrounding area was not safe to walk around unfortunately. A car was needed to get anywhere which wasn't ideal .
Clean, quiet and service is professional
The hotel is amazing. The breakfast buffet was spectacular. The spa services were great, and staff were top notch. The only problem encountered is the showers need to be fixed as water leaks onto the floor. The same thing happened to other guests I was traveling with which means it’s a bigger problem than isolated to my room. Overall, the hotel is a winner and I will definitely return.
Second time here. The management is doing a great job in maintaining standards. Will return
It’s ok . The beachside was nice te breakfast setup was nice . But the hotel is a bit old and outdated and stuffy
The staff were great and very accommodating, housekeeping could be more consistent. The rooms could use updating, the bathrooms were great and the ambiance was vibrant, the food was great especially breakfast.
N/A
Arrived at 7:30pm to wait over 3 hours to checkin. Finally got into room just before midnight ...unacceptable. Late check out was honored until 5pm with no charge. Overall staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast was fresh and had many options.
Cleanliness and staff
Felt like home away from home.
Service
We had to ask for wash cloths and bathmats everyday.

Excellent Experience, LBH is a first-class experie
I had a few days in Accra recently and stayed at the LBH. I was extremely pleased. LBH have a great facility, it is meticulously clean throughout, pools are kept up daily, grounds maintained, staff are excellent, the decor and upkeep of the facilities are well above average for many hotels, the room AC is cold, the food menu / buffet options are plentiful and taste very good, the multiple bars and venues are great, the beach access is great including a private beach area away from the hawkers, security is excellent! LBH is where I'll be when I return next time to Accra. It's an oasys.
