The room was extremely filthy. The sheets were not clean it had hair and crusted stains. The restroom was extremely filthy. There was a hole in the wall. The ac didn’t work only the fan did. The phone in room didn’t work and it was beyond dusty. The towels in the restroom were dusty. The shower was even more gross because it had black moldy thing on the edges and had hair all over. Man this place I am afraid will not make it if it continues in this condition. The only thing this place had was the front desk guy was so helpful and nice. We won’t mention how bad the mattress was. I slept maybe an hour that’s how bad it was. Thank God I had my own bed cover to use. I think sleeping in car would have been better. Definitely not la Quinta quality.

This is by far the worst La Quinta Inn in which we have ever stayed. However, we were glad to find a reasonably priced place to sleep. Breakfast was Ok, but the seating area was totally inadequate.

I came here for my son graduation. Location was perfect due to the fact it was on the same street to the entrance of Lackland Air Force base. But I can’t express how filthy it looks. My daughter room was disgusting. The wall trims was coming apart. There were moles in the picture frames. Just overall looks disgusting. There were homeless nearby so it doesn’t make you feel so safe either. I have stayed in many La Quinta locations. This has to be the worst of all. I’m quite disappointed. I would not recommend. Go an extra few miles away.

Very pleasant stay visiting Lackland AFB. hotel is RIGHT next to the base, easy access. anyone wanting to stay in San Antonio or attending graduation/any on base event I definitely recommend this stay to. very affordable. loved the pool.

This use to be a quality place to stay

First the room was damaged. It had a hole in the wall. There was no phone in the room. Last I gave them a deposit of $100 cash. When I checked out they said I didn't a deposit. I reported the damage but yet the clerk didn't report it in the past on notes

The room air conditioner did not work properly, the shower was 2 ft by 2 ft too small.the door locks would not lock security bolt was broken off window was boarded up. Will not return there again.

E en though the room didn't look like the pictures on the website, it was clean. Gor a short stay , with somewhere to lay your head. It was perfect. The staff is very nice the bed was comfy. I stayed just two days and i felt safe. .

The room was next to a homeless camp.

The shower didn't work. The sink was stopped up. I had to brush my teeth in the bathtub. The room needed major renovation.

Why was I in Texas?

It was Amazing, I was right across firm the Air base and that was my reason for bring there. To see my grandson graduate from The Air Force. The hotel was very nice and clean and quiet.

Wow...what a disappointment..I should have know because the deal was too good. The photos posted on Hotels.com do not match the hotel I checked into.whwn I checked in I had to ask several times if I was at the correct location. The first thing I should have challenged was why they wanted me to move from the room I reserved which was a King, and they moved me to two queens... I dont think the room had been cleaned in weeks I found one pillow case that I thought had clotted blood on it. I think was chocolate? Supposedly it had been remodeled years ago, but I don't think so, due to the quality of the work. I wanted to take photos but it became overwhelming.So, if you want to stay near the base do not stay here.

Didnt like much. The shower haredly work. Mirrors, floors, and sink dirty. Towels had stains. The homeless people hanging around was not good. People smoking weed in the hallway outside our door at late hours was bad. The only good thing was that the lady that checked us in was friendly.

Do not stay there!

First of all the check in was no problem. The room however smelled like urine when I walked into the bathroom. The floors did not appear to be clean. The sheets on the bed were clean and fresh, so that was the only good thing about the hotel. The breakfast if you are expecting a breakfast consisted of Belgian waffles, cold cereal and bread and bagels then okay. There were two small apples yesterday. Yesterday afternoon when I arrived back at my hotel room and parked my car in front of the door I saw that the door was open. Immediately I thought that my laptop computer would be gone as this was at approximately 3:00 in the afternoon and I had been gone since 8:30 am. The cleaning person was down at the end of the rooms with the cleaning cart. Because the dead bolt does not retract on its own you have to fiddle with the door handle in order to shut the door. There was someone sitting in her car for about 20 minutes and thought that I was in the room with the door open. Fortunately my laptop was still there, but that was just the grace of God. If you leave a room open there are those that will help themselves. I reported it to the front desk and the clerk said they would tell management, but I never heard back from them.

Rooms hard to find at night and needs outside lamps on each door maybe some elds to save your electricity bill it takes $ to make money other than that rooms are nice clean and spacious also quiet👍

Disgusting

First I didnt get the room I paid for. When I arrived it was late so I had no choice but to take what they offerred. The beds were made but it was not clean at all. There where stains on the sheets, dead bugs in the pictures on the wall, the floor was not mopped or swept, the sink had visible little small flys coming out of the drain, a ring of black dirt or possibly mold, around the top, the bedside table had not been cleaned, when I opened the closet there was a pile of dirty sheets in it! The next morning I told the front desk. The lady at the front desk said she would have my room cleaned that morning. Well that never happened! Not once in the 3 days I was there. They never cleaned my room. I will never stay there again. In my opinion it should be reported to the health department.

I would recommend booking a different stay if you’re in town for BMT graduation and have the means to. While the gate to the base is only a few minutes away it is in extremely bad conditions. Part of the ceiling molding was missing. The bed sheets were extremely dirty. We ended up buying our own pillowcases and blankets because we did it feel comfortable using theirs. The bathroom had hair all over it. The smell wasn’t great either. And the breakfast options are very poor. We enjoyed the convenience of the proximity of the base but we couldn’t really relax in the room with our graduate so we spent most of the time elsewhere. Staff is fairly friendly but I would not recommend if you are looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay.

It was bad. Real bad. The hotel in general is disgusting. The bathroom has rust around the bath tub and the bath tub did not drain. The towels may as well have been tea towels, or children towels. The beds were not queen beds like they advertise. They’re full beds. And they’re spring mattresses. They give you 1 small bottle of 2in1 shampoo. There’s homeless people on the property. And if you bring a pet, be sure to keep an eye on the ground as you take them to the pet area. It looks like someone took a trash bag and shook it in the wind. There’s fallen light poles with wires that have electrical tape covering them. I wouldn’t trust the ice machines cause God only knows when they’ve last been cleaned. It looked like someone took a torch to the door stop and burnt around it. The WiFi modem in the room looked like someone punched the hole for the wire with their fist. My husband and I maybe slept for 1.5 hours before we just got up and decided to deal with our day on no sleep. In summation. Spend the extra $20 for comfort and hygiene. We brought up the concerns and were told “there’s nothing we can do. And we still have to charge you for the second night” I didn’t care I wanted to leave. Just bad.

Bad cleaning

Building was old and it showed, rooms were better than the exterior. All rooms have exterior access and the walkways, sidewalks and area was in disrepair and dirty. For some reason I thought that being a Wyndham it would be nicer.

Good hotel for some, not for all

Pictures are not what it seems. Hotel has a bridge next to it were homes people stay. Seems like people are living on hotel premises as well. Parking is tight. If you get King size bed room you have to cross to another section through a small bridge but area seems scary at first. I went with my husband and two other couples but from the other two one couple decided to wait to get there to rent it but after seeing it decided to go else where, and the other couple booked it ahead of time spent 30 minutes in the room and decided to lose the money and book somewhere else. Myself and my husband though we are not extremely picky we only go to sleep and head out. The beds were comfortable enough to sleep well no issues. Bed smelled clean which was the 1st thing I checked. Staff was friendly, there was no phone in room so in had to call front desk through cell phone. After 3 calls no answer, luckily two minutes after trying in the morning I heard a voice say room service. I went out and asked the gentleman for a change of towels which he did in a very timely manner. End result don’t expect a 5 star hotel, but if your not picky it’s a good place to stay and beds are comfy and clean.

Room was dirty, carpet old and stained,missing part of the ceiling edging, missing knob on closet, hair dryer missing. Bathroom was very dirty, dirt built up in the corners and on the baseboards.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The room is in terrible condition: no renovations have been done in a long time, everything is falling apart and looks awful. It's dirty everywhere, the floors are unwashed, and there are crumbs all over the place. I even found an insect in the bed, and the room was clearly not cleaned—there were other people's hair everywhere. The outdoor area is just as neglected and dirty. Complete lack of hygiene, I would not recommend this place to anyone. It’s better to spend an extra hundred dollars and stay at a better hotel, especially if you're attending a Graduation parade and want your stay to be comfortable and stress-free!

I like that you can bring your dogs for free. Limit of 2 dogs they also have a little area for walking your dog and letting them use the restroom. The room was a good size but the restroom was so tiny, we had the shower and we literally couldn’t open the shower door and restroom door at the same time there was also no where to put your soaps and just made showering such a pain. The only reason I would book again would be to take my dogs but I’d try to get a room with a bathtub instead

This property looks nothing like the photos! It’s dirty and run down. I stayed in Room 154. Paint was falling off the walls, molding was missing off the ceiling, ac was dirty and had bugs in it. The door did close and had a gap that let bugs crawl under the door. Will not be staying here again!

The stay was average if the reason I gave the 3 star was for 3 reasons. 1. The location of hotel was surrounded by abandoned buildings with an underpass canal empty with homeless gatherings didn’t feel safe. 2. The room alone needed some updates on ceiling cracks and spiderwebs in corner. 3 the pictures posted online did match reality.

The picture on the website was nothing like the actual room. The room had holes in the wall.

Room floor was dirty, room was not very clean

I guess it was my bad for not reading any reviews. Still haven’t. The ice machine was not working. The baseboards were broken with literal holes in them. My fire alarm was sitting on the shelf in the closet. I don’t think it was working. There were stains on the walls and floors. The wall behind the sink was dirty and dusty. So was the toilet paper holder.. dusty. I understand I get what I paid for., it was super affordable. But does super affordable mean gross? Also the desk attendant stated that they were constantly filled to capacity because of the proximity to the Air Force base. So income is not a problem. Why isn’t the owner making repairs and paying for staff to adequately clean the rooms? There was also what appeared to be mold on the walls of the shower. I was more concerned with being close to the Air Force base for my son’s BMT graduation. Not reading reviews for hotels will not happen again. Lesson learned.

It’s somewhere good to stay for a one day trip

Unfortunately we me and my family didn’t enjoy the stay. Due to the room not looking nothing like the picture, the tv didn’t work, the door in the bathroom had a loose noob and the wall had a whole.

The room they first put us in looked nothing like the picture on the website, very dirty and outdated. When they finally agreed to put us in a different room, the other room was also dirty like they hadn’t swept, vacuumed or mopped in weeks. Never going back!!

I didnt like it it will not be a place I will stay at again

Rooms were filthy. Hair in bed. Dead bugs all over floor. Mattresses and blankets stained. So much mold in bathroom vent that there was barely airflow. So many homeless people sleeping in tents/ under the bridge adjacent to building. I slept with window open so I make sure my car wasn’t broken into. The staff did let me cancel my second night, which was the only plus of the stay.

This place is the worst! Stay away! Its dirty, dingy, and it needs maintenance so badly. I don’t even know how it passes inspection to remain open. I cant upload pictures but, to give you an idea, the AC was being held together with tape. Beyond ghetto.

If you are attending Air Force graduation do not stay here. Cheap - yes. Paint chipping off walls, hot water did not work, electric outlets did not work. Toaster did not work. When this was brought to managers attention they did not care. Ghetto! Homeless wander in and out the grounds. Not safe. Safety lock was broken off and no bolt inside door

If I could rate this a hotel a 0 I would. Our a/c went out in our home so we needed a room just for the night. The room was absolutely disgusting. The pictures do not match the hotel at all. My two children and I ended up leaving after 45mins. The floors were black, black mold in the bathroom, urine all over the toilet, roaches dead and alive. The layers of dust was like something I’ve ever seen. Extremely disappointing and so surprised that they still allow guests in these rooms. The room was not worth $67. If I could leave picture I would because I surely took plenty to send to corporate.

Room was very dirty. As I was entering to check-in another person was leaving and said he would suggest I find another place to stay as his room had bugs.

We rented 2 rooms. After unpacking and hanging clothes, & putting all toiletries out, I went to take a shower and the water didn’t work. So I went to use their hotel phone to call front desk, and there was no chord. I tried calling multiple times on my cell phone before someone finally answered! He came out to check the water and transferred me to another room, but because of this huge inconvenience, I left my luggage lock in this 1st room. So before he left I made sure the water turned on in the room he transferred me into, but I didn’t check the temperature. I didn’t think I had to. There was NO COLD WATER!! I went to call front desk AGAIN, and they didn’t have a hotel phone in the room! I was over it. I put the water on at its LOWEST pressure so it wouldn’t be too hot, but the water would not cool down at all. Floors were FILTHY in both our rooms and our feet turned BLACK! There was a sock under my bed from a previous customer, and bugs crawling around my daughter’s bed! The full size mirror was so dirty you could barely see yourself. The breakfast they provided, watery coffee and nasty bagels with no cream cheese was DISGUSTING!! WE DO NOT RECOMMEND!! We would rate ZERO stars if we could. Corporate Office will be getting a call, but I’m sure that will go nowhere!

Shabby and not good.

The place does not look anything near to whats shown in the image. It was looking rundown and shabby, the allies were with water, smelly and dirty. Looked to be very unsafe with respect to the surrounding environment. The front office was worst then a motel. Breakfast had no eggs or anything made.

The surrounding area was a little run down

The check in and out was incredible. The people at the facilities are professional and courteous. However, the property outside needs to be updated. It looks like a Motel instead of a Hotel. And maybe get some security. My dog and I were up all through the night as the next door neighbors had people standing outside by their cars, talking loud, doors kept slamming throughout the night.

Misleading Pictures

The pictures are misleading! This area has homeless and junkies walking around. The rooms and restrooms were terrible. My room smelled like weed and bleach. The other room was missing the fire alarm and had duct tape covering it up. Not to mention, the pool was drained out and dirty. Don’t be catfished by the pictures on the website.

This property needs some renovation. It's not filthy/dirty, but you can tell it's highly used and in need of renovation. Missing pieces of walls, ceiling spots from water damage, mini-fridge and AC that are rusted. I hated the tiny showers/bathroom area. The floors were not clean - so my feet stayed dirty from walking around the room.

If you don't know the area, I do not recommend staying here. The surroundings feel unsafe. There is a homeless campsite right next to the hotel. Rooms are dated and it seems more like an extended stay with people hanging out on the balcony all hours of the night. It's inexpensive so you definitely get what you pay for.

Booked a 1 room, king size, room for 3 adults. Upon arrival we had to sign the fees of $250 for property damage, etc. Getting to our room, it reeked of smoke inside and the fridge was not working properly. Decided to go report it because there is no way i will be paying that $250 when it's not my fault. We got moved to a different room that smelled clean, but the doors were falling down. The restroom door you had to lift up for it to close properly. The door knobs were loose. The shower was small and also broken. The shower did not seem to have been cleaned as it had hair on the walls. The commode was loose. There was dirt and duust everywhere. The mirrors were smeared. The a/c would make noise.

Honestly the pictures on line do not do this place justice. It is actually disgusting. The floors are gross. The lock on the door barely closed. The flip hatch was barely hanging on. I refused to shower because it looked absolutely filthy. And this is just the room. The service was terrible. They were rude and seemed put out by even asking a question. And best of all. There seemed to be sketchy business going on outside. I am not one to leave bad reviews but I think people need to know. We did not feel safe. 10/10 would not recommend.

Not the best hotel

It was ok... It was not the best hotel at all due to us arriving after late hours and another couple we waited and were looking for someone to help us check in... When we arrived, no one was at the front desk... I chose this location due to my son's graduation from the Air Force... The only good thing about the hotel is 5 minutes away from the base...

The stay was ok..just as long as u deep clean your self thank God i travel with lysol wipes and sanitizer the staff was excellent!! I would stay again I'll just be prepared to clean bathrooms doors nightstands before i bring all my baggage in!!

Located in a bad area of town. Felt unsafe. AC did not work. Security lock broken. No smoke alarm. Shower was small. Door jam previously broken and repaired poorly. Staff at check in was friendly. No interaction with staff after that.

Horrible

Horribly experience since the beginning, the first room was not even serviced the sheets were off the beds and trash bags. I had to complain i couldn't get a refund because i reserved through a 3rd party. Requested a clean room and it was still horrible, bad smell stained walls and bath tub, sheets were stained. I had to go buy an air mattress and new sheets and couldn't even shower because the tub was disgusting....while checking in 3 other people prior to me were also requesting a refund and complained of dirtiness. Pictures online are completely different than how it looks in reality. Front desk lady was extremely rude i really dont see how that place can even be open for business. ...it was far most the worse experience ever.

Do not stay here! We stayed 1 night during 4th of July weekend. I booked this hotel by mistake; I thought I had booked at La Quinta on Military Dr City Base. Unfortunately, our reservations were non-refundable and were unable to cancel. This place is so run down and dirty. Our rooms were filthy and falling apart. Not to mention all the homeless people wondering the property.

There was not a full breakfast and when checked in the the room wasn't ready. I thought La Quinta was a good chain. Starting to rethink my choices!!!!

Area was unsafe and rooms were very disgusting there was mold on walls outlets, rat poop on bed sheets, spider webs, floors were disgusting, lots of insects on corner floors..

place was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like the pictures. will be calling their corporate office to file a formal complaint and request a refund.
