Cleanliness improvement needed

The people were very kind, professional and accommodating. The lobby was clean and so was the elevator. However the room’s carpet had multiple stains and the desk chair had a mystery liquid stain dried on it.

We were in town for a week for a family emergency and this property was close to our family members. It is a beautiful and clean hotel. The lobby and bar area was decorated for the season. The vibe of the hotel was classy and is a gorgeous upgrade. The staff are professional, kind and friendly. The breakfast area is clean and has fresh food daily. The room was clean, quiet and accommodating. Leaving and returning each day felt like coming home, rather than a hotel stay. This hotel would be our preference on any return trips to San Antonio. Thank You all for a wonderful experience during a stressful time.

Upon check out and we stayed only 1 night, my credit card was charged $83.38. I contacted management and they had no explanation but didn't see the charge on their end. The manager procided me with a summary of charges to take to my bank. Manager mentioned it should fall off soon. Well, its 5 days later and the unauthorized charge is still there. Never have this happened at any other lodging. Beware..

Overall staff were nice and respectful during my stay there breakfast was good and room was spacious and always clean. Only thing was the pool was closed due to season which we could’ve the pool available but other than that everything was spot on.

This property I would not recommend to anyone to go stay. It is very unsanitary poop in the toilet, dirty pillowcases, and bedspread. That was the first room then the second room they tried to put me in the remote, fell behind the dresser and move the dresser and oh my God found drug paraphernalia, all type crumbs muffin paper wrapping it was just horrible. I got my money back and ran out of there.

Very upset that the pool was closed. I was not given any notice that it would be closed for maintenance when I booked this hotel. The pool was one of the important deciding factors for choosing this LaQuinta.

We have stayed 4 different ocassions. This will be the last time we stay. Towels dirty and smelly. Shower poor water pressure and smelly water as well. Wasn’t likenthis before. Quality has gone down. Also ac turned off twice at night and had to manually turn on again.

The sliding bathroom door was off the hinge and it fell on my father. If he was a child it could have been fatal. We were four in a room with no privacy at all because the door never worked after that. Refund of room is needed. Please respond

I enjoyed my stay, the hotel was right off the highway for easy travel, but the room never felt loud due to traffic. The room was spacious and comfortable.

The hotel was modern and attractive. It was clean, quiet and overall pretty darn nice for the money. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices. I loved the convenience of having a fridge and microwave in the room! Oh yeah,free parking was nice.👏😁❤️

A basic breakfast is available at the hotel and the rooms are clean. However, the hotel's location makes it unsuitable for families.

Never Again!

We used the dryer, and oh my goodness, when I pressed start the machine was making a super loud noise, as if the machine was drilling a hole!! Super loud!!!. Then our door did not close all the way, we had to push it to close. Then, when my husband walked out the door, the lock came out and we couldn’t close the door!!! Sheets had all kinds of stains. Overall stay was Ok, but do not recommend!!! My husband said never again!! Staff is very friendly, and the pool felt great after a long day of soccer tournament.

Staff is amazing and kind and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean. Not much to do around the property. The room floors and walls are thin.

The pool was green when we showed up… the rooms are outdated, there was a nail sticking up out of the carpet and the water pressure was terrible. Breakfast was mid.

Lee at the front desk was amazing. He switched us to a room on the first floor when he saw that we had a dog with us. Originally we were on the 4th(top) floor.The room was very big, clean and comfortable. I highly recommend. We stayed one night for a family trip to the Natural Bridge Caverns and the Alamo and river walk the next day. Breakfast was fresh, lots of options and fresh fruit was nice to see.

We arrived for check in around 11:15pm waited in a long line to check in as the receptionist played and joked around with whom seem to be a personal friend .. finally checked in did not get told any Wi-Fi password breakfast hours no information just asked for payment and gave me the card for the room did not even know what the exact amount charged . Get to the room to find the beds stained disgusting! The bathroom had no privacy did not lock did not close it was a sliding door that did not run on its tracks so stayed open everytime our family member had to use the restroom I had to put a towel to seal the door for privacy no shampoo no conditioner in the bathrooms the containers were empty no trash can in the restroom

Decent

Hotel was decent. Breakfast and pool were average. The major downfall was the comforter which had blood stains. We went downstairs to swap it out and all they had was another comforter which was torn.

They had hot breakfast everyday we were there so that’s a plus. Staff was friendly and attentive. We will definitely stay here when we come back to San Antonio.

Staff was friendly. The down side, the shower curtain was dirty with yellow stains. The towel had some stains as well. Is a relatively new hotel with poor mantainace.

My problems started at check-in. The restroom door wouldn't close properly. Fortunately, the staff moved me to a different room. However, in the new room, the toilet wouldn't flush. A maintenance person came later to fix it. Compared to my experiences at Marriott hotels, I felt that this hotel was the worst one to stay in.

Property was a bit far from Sea World/Sig Flags but not too bad!! A lot of construction going on in the area and only one way in and out!! Room was clean, spacious!! Pool however was dirty when we got there not sure how often they clean it but it didn't smell like chlorine of looked cleaned . Jacuzzi wasn't working which was a bummer because we wanted to use it and weren't notified either!! Very convenient if you are traveling with pets!! Staff was amazing and very helpful!! besides the jacuzzi and pool issue everything else was great!!

Not what we expected

Hotel is good. Service is nice. Wish the Happy Hour was included with our stay, though. And also, why do they have barn doors with glazed glass windows for the restroom?!? The barn door (sliding door) left a big gap on both ends of the door where people can still see you, and the door window, even though it is glazed glass, still shows your silhouette. The door is three feet straight from the toilet. Um... why? WHY?!? Who thought that was a good idea? and who approved it? and lastly, normal-size, fluffy pillows would be greatly appreciated. Our room had small, rock hard and flat pillows. Good thing every night we were tired and slept like a... well.. a rock. Please fix the door issue and the pillow issue and we will surely come back.

Check in was way and the young man at the desk was very kind and pleasant. I think he's the only one working, but we was kind and didn't rush anyone.

We had a great time at this hotel. From the moment we walked in we were greeted and made feel welcome. All the staff was very helpful and always had smiles. The room was very clean and cool had black out curtains, the pool was nice and hot tub was working. Bonus it had a bar in the hotel lobby, even had happy hour.

If you are on the opposite side of I-35, there is a construction company right next door. The noise is constant, early, and often. Woke us up at 6:30am The location was good, and within walking distance to a corner store.

Being Just off of I-35, made it easy to get around town. Also, it was only 15-20 mins from the Alamodome and the downtown area. The Texas shaped pool was cool, but the patio area could use some TLC. The daily breakfast and happy hour specials were a nice addition too.

I don't usually waste time in reviewing hotel stays or other services, but as I told the front desk staff when checking out, the bad experience during the stay leaves no choice. The only good thing about my stay was that the staff was polite, but especially the breakfast lady, Daniela, who asked everyday if we needed anything, she was a rock star and should be paid more or promoted. Now the bad news, the housekeeping upstairs was terrible, and the rooms felt dirty. We stayed with other members of our family and they had the same experience. Our bathtub and sink were clogged, they sent help but staff didn't clean the bathtub after the fact, leaving the dirt water marks behind. The towels are the WORST, all of them old and stained, they were not white, but yellow. The shower curtain was pink from the mildew, disgusting. One day they forgot to make our beds and didn't bring "fresh" towels. Our family mentioned there was a bad odor coming out from the bathroom, sewage-like. Housekeeping staff didn't make the beds properly, with sheets and blankets in the wrong order. Bottomline, the housekeeping department is either poorly managed, trained, understaffed, burned out or all of the above. Also, someone wrote the three Ks inside one of the elevators with a sharp object, and when we approached the front desk apparently they hadn't even noticed. I hope they do something about it. Our experience in this hotel literally put a stain on our visit to such a beautiful city.

Not a good place to stay.

This is a new building. About 5 years old. Other la Quinta supply bathroom with shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion by dove. This location is only offering shampoo and conditioner with no body wash or lotion. They provide a small cheap soap bar. The hotel management is probably trying to save money by cutting corners. They also give you one key only with a small piece of paper to write room number on it. No envelope like other hotels the cost 110 per night. Also I was getting ready to leave and someone knocked on my door at 10:30 to clean the room. By the time I was done and left the room at 11:20 they called the room and sent me an email asking if I’m checking out late. I left but they charged me late check out. It’s only 25 dollars but if they charge everyone it’s a lot of money. Chose another location. Not a good place to stay…

New facility

When we got here it was basically a car was at the entrance. Not a good first impression. The room was not cleaned correctly. The chair has a questionable stain on it if they even cleaned it. Hair in the bathtub and the beds looked like the bedding has never been bleached. The bathroom sliding door has a gap in it so you don't have privacy in the bathroom. Just not a good hotel to stay at. Definitely shouldn't have a high rating as it's not safe. If places were not sold out around us we would have left last night. Very unclean and you do not feel safe here. The pictures are not updated at all, the pool was also disgusting.

This was a nice property, it was close to everything that we needed. I would definitely stay here again.

no pool for spring break

We went on our spring break with my daughters and I like the fact that the hotel had a pool (Texas shaped) which i liked, come to fine out that the pool was locked and when asked they stated it was out of service/ off season..so i asked if we can at least sun bathe so they opened it for us...well the maintaince person left us locked in the gated pool area, we couldn't open the gate..thankfully a service worker walked by, so we told him the situation and he got the front desk person to open the gate for us. Everything else was fine with the hotel... its just what hotel has their pool locked up for "off season". My daughter was very disappointed beacuse she loves to get in the pool in our vacations.

Love the location, directly off freeway. The only issue I had which was not that bad was it wasn’t cleaned properly in shower and chairs room. Overall, very good customer service. Quick and easy!

The property was convenient for the people that we were visiting. During check-in he couldn't find my reservation. I showed him my Expedia printout. Then he said that he found the reservation. Then we waited quite awhile for him to find us a room. Then, it turned out to be a handicap room. The phone was missing and was never replaced. The sink drained very slowly. Both were reported but never corrected. When I checked out, the girl said that the system didn't even show that room was in use.

Pretty clean. Quiet. Only thing I was a little bothered about was the fact there was hardly any hot water. It was barely warm.

The room was dirty with hairs in the bed and shower. The bed is super hard and does not have a base so it moves on the box it’s on. The room had a lot of of damage with paint chipped off. Overall it’s not a good room.

Clean or Not So Clean?

Everything was fine except unsure about cleanliness. When I went to bed and pulled back the top sheet, there was an empty lotion bottle between the sheets. Did I have clean sheets or not?
