Beautiful riad.
The hotel is 3 or 4 houses/Riads joined together creating a meandering and sometimes confusing maze of rooms and corridors, but equally leaving secluded areas to discover and then sit and relax in. There is not that much accessible roof space unless you are lucky enough to have a private roof deck as part of your room
Excellent location, attention and beautiful place
This is a beautiful property with excellent hospitality designed for traveling families. The building and decor take you back to another time and place, and the staff went out of their way to ensure our comfort.
Highly recommend
Fabulously decorated and comfortable hotel (riad) in a great neighborhood. Close to everything. The spa treatment was one of the best ever experienced. The cooking class is a must-do. Breakfast by the pool each morning was delicious and delightful. Highly recommend!
Wonderful!
La Maison Arabe is one of my favorite places in the world. I’ve been there several times alone and with family. It’s one of the best experiences ever!
Great courteous staff! We value services and courtesy much more than the building and looks. This place was a delight. They have jazz room, dining by the pool with live music and is on walking distance from many great restaurants like cabana, Safran and so on. They made sure to walk us to our taxi and get one for us. We highly recommend this hotel not only due to convenience but also due to great staff.
La Maison Arabe is a gem. It’s beautifully appointed, and its staff is absolutely first rate, incredibly solicitous, invariably gracious and kind. The hotel itself is gorgeous, and the poolside restaurant is excellent, as are the jazz bar, the spa and their outstanding cooking school. My room had a balcony overlooking the pool, and a fireplace to warm the cold desert night. It was wonderful. If you’re looking for a hotel that brings together the best of Marrakech’s aesthetic and tradition of graciously welcoming travelers, this is it.
Our stay at this property was the perfect way to end our visit to Marrakech. The hotel is an oasis in the middle of the city and offers amazing food. We also signed up for the spa/hammam which was such a pleasant experience and left us feeling very well rested.
The creative craftsmanship through your the hotel was very impressive. All staff were so very accommodating in every respect. Thoroughly recommend.
Excellent place qith a beautiful people, very clean and the food is delicious
Service was excellent and definitely five star quality
Wonderful stay
Most wonderful stay at MAISON Arabe Very comfortable bed, amazing food beautiful country club but the best part is the beautiful staff who are so friendly, welcoming and caring. Special mention to Yoauness & Mohammed at the country club where we spent most of our time
Original Riad , beautiful suites with large balcony overlooking the pool and restaurant. Very polite , attentive staff, great breakfast and dinner Really, really nice!
BEST HOTEL EVER ..
This hotel is amazing, the staff so friendly, the hotel was like a museum. I can't think of the words to describe this place. Best hotel I have ever stayed in......
In a wonderful location
Could have been perfect…
This should have been a 5 start review as it could have been a perfect stay. Unfortunately it was marred by theft of an expensive item of clothing and some wireless headphones and wired ones in the clothing pockets at the hotel. The hotel itself was excellent, great rooms, great food, good massage and friendly staff. Unfortunately 2 things happened on my stay. 1. An expensive fleece for my Toubkal trip which had wireless headphones and apple wired headphones went missing. I used these in the hotel and never left the property even once as I was only there one night. This meant I had no fleece for my Toubkal ascent and no headphones for the flight home. 2. My TSA padlock was tampered with on my luggage in storage. All the numbers were rotated round to 0 and it was unlocked. The code on my padlock means it would never be at 000 for me to unlock. I realised within an hour of leaving the property that my fleece had gone missing. I contacted the hotel and they said they checked my room but it was nowhere to be seen. Overall, be very cautious whilst staying at this hotel!
This hotel is just beautiful. A hidden gem, it looks small but it’s like a secret that’s grows and grows. Beautiful rooms, swimming pool, delicous breakfast and superb genuine staff. Totally recommend! Easy reach of everything.
Great property and staff. Excellent cooking class, superb breakfast and the access to the resort pool was fantastic
The hotel is so beautiful! The staff were so friendly and helpful. Everyone should stay at this hotel!
The hotel was lovely and the staff was superior!! Great location as well.
Hospitality above and beyond expectations - and all previous experience I made in MARRAKECH over uncounted stays over the last 20years! I can not recommend Maison Arabe highly enough - as close to perfection as it gets! Thank you for a memorable stay! I will be back in September!
The best decision you can make in Morocco
Amazing hotel and spa. Incredible service. Beautiful throughout. One of the best places I’ve ever stayed around the world. Go here. You won’t be disappointed
air conditioning, clean rooms, and great location.
Beautiful property with excellent staff. Easy to walk to the Souk.
Beautiful, well appointed hotel. The staff is most helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
There have been MANY WONDERFUL reviews of La Maison Arabe. I can confirm all of them. In addition, the food at La Maison Arabe is better than other highly rated restaurants in Marrakesh.
very nice staff very well maintained and charming riad.
Service second to none
Ive stayed in many top hotels around the world and the service here matches any of them. The staff were absolutely excellent. Small “even better if” would be if there was a treadmill in the gym. I think the hotel is undersold - it’s even better than the pictures. Wish i was staying longer.
Great visit it has the old school charm. It’s inside the walls of the Medina which is nice but could be hard to find if driving. Staff are nice and we had our own butler which was amazing. Very great service and overall luxury
Stunning hotel. The staff were brilliant..nothing was too much trouble. We’ve stayed in many hotels and the service here was the best we’ve ever received. We emailed the hotel before our arrival and they arranged a private transfer to and from the airport..well worth doing. We ate at the hotel on the first night and again excellent service and such a beautiful atmosphere. The lamb tagine was stunning. We booked the cooking workshop and it was one of my highlights of the trip. A must do. Both informative and fun. The medina is about 5-10 minute walk away and we felt totally safe walking day or night to and from the hotel. 10/10
The staff was wonderful. Any questions or requests were promptly and fully handled. The restaurant had great food, the bar had imaginative drinks and a talented piano player. The spa was reasonably priced and well staffed. My only disappointment is the gym facilities were not what I expected from a 5 star hotel.
Loved the spa services!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Enjoyed the hotel very much. Very Moroccan feel whch was nice. Only issue was a bad smell in our bathroom likely from the drain. Food, service and location was great.
Weekend break with friends - a luxury oasis on the outskirts of the old Medina so you can dip in and out easily. Amazing building and decor, incredible friendly staff, cant wait to return
A beautiful property with amazing staff in a great, central location
I’ll be back!
From the first email where the staff set up a car to meet us at the airport to our departure, the staff took excellent care of us. The hotel is beautiful, quiet, and very comfortable. You can easily walk to the sites you want to see, or the team will arrange a guide and transportation.
Book this Place!
If you are hesitating on booking this place, book it. It was amazing. Similar to a Fairmont property in terms of quality and service. The food in the restaurants is AMAZING. Like perfect. The rooms have a/c and a mini fridge. You get one free bottle of water a day and one Nespresso pod. More would have been nice. The shower in the room was one of the best showers of my life. And there was live music nightly in the Jazz Bar and restaurant. You also had the option to drink cocktails here (about 120Dh) that were EXCELLENT. THE SPA/Hammam… book it. It’s affordable and EXCELLENT. Loved our time in there.
We absolutely loved our time in Marrakech and couldn’t have selected a more charming hotel to stay in. We loved the unique ambience of each room, the staff was amazingly helpful and kind, the restaurant was excellent, the roof top bar was beautiful and the spa was terrific. We also took a few hours to enjoy their off site country club, which was very relaxing. We hope to get back to Marrakech and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else.
Very interesting location. Hotel architecture was amazing. Room was lovely. Staff very friendly. Wonderful breakfast. I would definitely like to stay here again.
Beautiful property with an amazing staff
Staff was wonderful at all times. (Very attentive, friendly and accommodating.)The breakfast is excellent with made-to-order omelets, freshly-squeezed OJ. And fabulous fruit & desserts. We really enjoyed the off-site country club pool and lunches there. A true oasis from the city.
Architecturally impressive, a jump in the past with modern amenities, nothing in particular that I did not like.
Our room was spacious, very clean and we were very comfortable. The food was excellent! The staff were friendly and very helpful. Our stay overall was wonderful and we look forward visiting Morocco and staying at La Maison Arabe Hotel, Spa and Cooking Workshops again.
Hotel is located in an area where we felt safe, walkable from many historic sights. Very helpful staff who makes you feel welcome in Marrakesh and willing to help you to get around. Beautiful hotel with many facilities and we enjoyed the pool at country club for some relaxing after being in the busy city.
Moroccan architecture and moraccan hospitality, walking distance to the medina. Beautiful place to stay.
This was a wonderful historic hotel with a great staff. My first visit to Morocco, but I will absolutely visit again and stay at the Maison. Wonderful experience and people.
As a first time visitor to Marrakech, I have to say that staying here was extremely comfortable and enjoyable. The staff is very lovely and accommodating. I found them extremely helpful, especially when I was having some trouble navigating on my own. Full disclosure I’m a solo female traveler, so the fact that I felt safe was extremely important to me. In addition, the inside is even more beautiful than the pictures. I will most definately be back as soon as I get the chance. Location wise, it’s in close proximity to the Médina, definately walkable and all the sites that you would want to see. The visit on my last day to the hammam rounded out my trip perfectly so don’t miss out on this as well. Overall a five star stay -will certainly be back.
We had a fabulous stay at the Maison Arabe. The staff made our experience unforgettable with the friendliness and all the recommendations they provided us with Thank you
The hotel is fabulous, and the staff is outstanding. We were upgraded to a bigger room, which was absolutely beautiful. I would recommend it to anyone traveling to Marrakesh.
What a beautiful gem. So unigue and so charming. So close to the Medina and market and all the best sights in the old city. But the staff, the hotel, the resurant are all top notch. It's like staying in an old musem that is comfortable, clean and inviting.
Our entire stay was wonderful. Your staff is professional and so accommodatin. It was a pleasure to stay therei
Beautiful hotel, incredibly friendly staff, beautiful private club to enjoy the pool
Superb niche hotel. Stunning, traditional decor. Very helpful and friendly staff. Couldn't fault it. The hotel's country club, a short free shuttle bus drive away, is a great hidden gem. We ate both at the hotel and country club and the food was delicious.
Interesting hotel in Marrakech
Hard to review this property. Somethings worked and somethings did not. The staff are a mixed bag here. You have a couple of very warm, kind and generous staff and the rest not so much. I was lucky to get Hakim. Who checked me in and showed me around. He is a gem. The breakfast was very average and a bit pricey. Location is ok, easy to get lost at night. Their country club is alright- good to check it out if you stay here. I would not eat at the restaurant here- too pricey and very average. They do boast a cooking class- it could be worth it if you are interested in Moroccan cooking. One disappointing thing was that a complimentary bottle of wine was given to me per night. But it was a bottle of red wine. For some people who don’t drink red wine, it’s a pity they could not exchange it for a white or rose. I understand it’s a logistical issue- but just disappointing as I was unable to enjoy it on either night. Small things like that will determine your trip in the end. It’s a charming little place. Go if you find a deal there- otherwise it’s just too much for what it is. I do hope to come back there next trip To Marrakech- but hopefully they have made some fixes by then. Look forward to It.
Simply perfection! La Maison Arabe is in an excellent location (walkable to to the medina, souks, and tourist sites). The rooms are elegant, luxurious, and perfectly appointed, and the food is superb. We received a welcome treat of champagne, water, fruit, and snacks upon our arrival. The staff is attentive and kind. The hammam is incredible! We want to return to Marrakech just to stay in this hotel again!
Elegant with great food and service
The service was amazing. We really enjoyed the cooking class and the breakfast and lunch were really top notch!
Amazing stay, beautiful decor, thoughtful touches, attentive staff. 10/10 experience
Wondetful hotel with great restaurants and accommodating staff. Charming and soothing. Can arrange guides and transfers plus cooking class. Glorious place to relax in the middle of a busy city.
So much to love about this property. Incredible stay from start to finish. The people that work here take the time to help with everything you need. Its a perfect location to explore the medina. However, the property is so nice, you won’t want to leave!
Nice facility with fine dining. Visit the roof bar!
Beautiful hotel with central location but far enough away from the mayhem of the main square if you want to enjoy a break ! Good amazing! Highly recommend dinner here
Gorgeous, well-run Riad in a perfect location for discovering Marrakech. I was particularly impressed by the very friendly and highly professional staff - delightful stay!
The staff is amazing! The property is beautiful! The breakfast was fantastic, and the restaurant is 5 star. One of the best hotels I ever stayed at!
Even if Morocco is not on anyone’s list of places to visit, one should put La Maison Arabe on their list. Enough things to do at the property itself for a 3-4 day trip!
A very unique and beautiful property! I would return!
The staff was so friendly and helpful (went out of their way to provide great service). I had a tour of the hotel when I checked in, and learned about a private guided tour of the Medina and other sites, which I did (it was excellent!). I also booked two services in the spa, which were wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel. Also room was beautiful and the bed/pillows so soft and perfect.
Very much recommend , great Riad , great service . Would stay here again.
Good food at the restaurant. Nice place with very good location. The room too small, without window to exterior.
There were pretty parts about the hotel and the staff was nice, but the rooms were the tiniest I've ever been in and the food was bland and incredibly over-priced. The location was not very nice. The wifi didn't work for most of my stay. Definitely not what I was expecting from a five-star resort.
Absolutely spectacular food, service and rooms. I wish we had been able to stay there longer
Excellent
Everything was excellent,
An amazing hotel in an amazing city
A hotel where you are treated as family and the staff each have a unique personality that adds to the effortless service they provide you. Adil and his team work tirelessly to make sure you have the best possible experience while staying in Marrakech. The food in the two restaurants in the hotel have an almost Michelin feel and presentation - if you come to this amazing city you must make this hotel central to your visit
An amazing and relaxing hotel, with great rooms, spa and pool. The food is amazing too
Smells like sewage. Tiny “room” can barely even move around. Problem with drainage in the pipes. Service painfully slow. Food is really not up to the advertised standard - not good and overpriced.
Beautiful Stay
Beautiful well appointed rooms the suite with definitely worth booking the staff at the hotel was excellent
A lovely slice of Marrakech history
The staff are exceptional: knowledgeable, caring, protective of their guests (be careful of the hustlers in the medinas, especially if you’re a woman traveling alone), proud of their hotel, and can’t do enough to make your stay at Maison Arabe as close to perfection as possible. The problem, however, is that the hotel building is very old and suffers, like many old buildings in Morocco, from water damage deterioration. Worth overlooking if you want to experience true Moroccan hospitality in a historically important atmosphere; but may be a concern if, like me, you’re sensitive to water-logged odors.
I can say anoint about how great this place is. The staff are top notch, rooms are gorgeous, the traditionaly decorated Riad is amazing conveniently located to everything, even have a pharmacy next door, has a a good line of organ oil based products
Excellent choice for being in/edge of the Medina. Small and half the price of mammounia. Both Winston Churchill and Jackie O stayed here so good enough for me.
I am very pleased with my stay at La Maison Arabe. Every staff member I encountered from the front desk, the servers, the spa service, etc was extremely friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to assist me. Additionally, the hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous, ornately designed to traditional Moroccan architecture. I am a female solo traveler, and depending on where I travel, I am not always greeted with the best reception; however, this was not the case with La Maison Arabe. I highly recommend this hotel to any travelers who wish to reside in Marrakech luxury.
Absolutely loved it! The staff were amazing and every detail was well thought out. I also very highly recommend the hammam experience. Breakfast was delicious and they kept me well caffeinated with coffee refills. If I ever come back to Marrakesh I will definitely be staying here!
Excellent Hotel in Marrakech
My sta at La Maison Arabe Hotel was quite good. The hotel itself is exquisite. The decor, the cleanliness and the historical artefacts. The staff were mostly professional, especially Mourad, the front desk manager. One thing did not go well with the female front desk receptionist. She did not understand that the hotel is a VIP for Gold Members, and the benefits that should be offered. She was actually quite condescending. However, the rest of my experience was very positive.
This was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. They staff was great, the food was amazing and their spa was incredible.
The place is beautiful and the staff were so very nice. But I was supposed to get a bottle of wine with my check in bc it’s a VIP property and that never happened
Stayed 3 nights with my family of 4. The front desk manager Adil was delightful. Things are still not back to normal and so they upgraded one of our rooms which we really appreciated. The bed was super comfortable and the air conditioning was strong and welcomed in the summer heat of 100 degrees. Dining by the pool was lovely and the breakfast was delicious with many options. The country club pool is spacious and was an oasis in the heat. Wished we could have used the pool more but we ran out of time. We also took a cooking class and learned so much about Moroccan cuisine. We had our own cooking station and the instructors were wonderful! Staying here was one of the highlights of our trip!
Absolutely beautiful riad!! Excellent location, front desk gave us an upgraded room which was beautiful and spacious. On site restaurants are great!! Staff were all very professional and nice.
Wonderful Stay
I had wonderful and comfortable stay. I'm very impressed with friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of place. The food is amazing the service is excellent. I highly recommend it.
This hotel has been the best hotel I have ever stayed at, and I have stayed in a lot of them. Everything about it was wonderful! The staff was amazing and very helpful. The food is excellent and I you will want to eat everything on the menu. They went out of their way to help us. I most definitely will be returning.
This is a wonderful place to stay to experience the ambience of a riad in central Marrakech. It is walking distance to the square and souks and other sites. The staff is extremely helpful and goes above and beyond to help its guests with any problems and provides a multitude of convenience. The staff spoke excellent english, and still made it possible to enjoy our stay and feel like we were experiencing a true taste of Morocco. We had a king size bed with the best pillows I have ever had in a hotel. Pillows were soft enough to actually use for sleeping. Great sleeping bed. Our shower was large. There was a welcome gift of a half bottle of Syrah that was much appreciated on our arrival. Bottled water was provided for the room. Even with a large party in the hotel our room was quiet. I think the walls must be very well insulated. Concierge would arrange tickets to sites and order taxis. The staff attended graciously to all of our needs. We enjoyed learning how to find our way to the lovely restaurant and have our meals in the courtyard by the pool. The larger pool is a shuttle away, but it allows you to see a different section of the city and how the kasbah property is a small sanctuary in the city. The larger pool was not heated, but I was able to swim for about 20 minutes doing laps to stretch out the jet lag. I would guess the pool to be about 45 feet long. Enough for short laps.
Staff is lovely and location is great. Dinner by pool With live music was a delightful experience. Unique and beautiful hotel made up of 6 Riads. A labyrinth of twists and turns each taking your decor senses by surprise in the most artistic way possible.
This was hands-down the nicest stay I’ve had while traveling. The hotel was gorgeous and the staff incredibly friendly, and there were so many extra perks that made it special from Moroccan tea and sweets in the courtyard to welcome drinks in our room on arrival.
Very kind and considerate staff. They do think of your best interests. Beautiful and pleasant riad. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was pleasant. The hammam at the hotel was really amazing and I felt very relaxed and happy after. The location was also quite good. Near the médina within walking distance, yet it was far away enough to be away from the crazy crowds.
The property was well located close to the medina. It was about a 15 minute walk to Jemma El'fna square. It is a series of dar's that have been connected to created a hotel and the rooms were quaint with old tiles all around. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The dinner in the restaurant on site was excellent.
Perfect stay
Everything was just perfect. Staff, rooms, food
The feel of Moroccan! Beautifully decorated, great cooking school and good food (but overpriced).
I didn’t like that the spa was opening late and closed early.
Warm welcome to the hotel by reception, nice location, good food and jazz bar!
Gem in the Medina
What an outstanding property. La Maison Arabe is a beautiful hotel in the Medina, with a pool-side restaurant serving both Moroccan and Asian-inspired dishes. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant. They also own an off-site “country club” (about 10 minutes away by shuttle bus) with a lovely pool for a nice break from sightseeing. We highly recommend this gorgeous hotel.
Great stay! Amazing staff. Great property. I wish I had more time there. I would stay again and highly recommend

The staff was excellent and made our stay very enjoyable. They were very welcoming, helpful and pleasant to deal with. The country club is a decent drive away (about 20 mins) if you want to enjoy a nice day by the pool but was worth the travel.
