Add breakfast!

Our stay was absolutely amazing! One of the highlights was the breakfast, which is an absolute must. It’s served at their sister café just down the street, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The food was incredibly delicious, with fresh and flavorful options to start the day right, and the service was warm and attentive. A perfect addition to an already wonderful stay!

The room was beautifully decorated. The owner was very gracious and kind explaining everything about where to eat and directions to get there. It was a great location because it is just a block off of the Camino. Easy to find an easy to get started again.

Pilgrims breakfast

A very hearty welcome by the proprietor and they even translated everything into English. Given a tour and they explained the local area and where to get breakfast which was in a different place. Breakfast was a good pilgrims breakfast which sets you up for the walk due the day. Very simple with freshly baked bread. With plenty to bulk up on including walnuts….

Me quede aqui en Febrero mientras hacia El Camino. Me gusto muchisimo este boutique hotel. Empezando por la ubicacion, justo al lado del Camino. La decoracion y condicion del hotel estuvieron increibles. La cena tambien estuvo increible. Sin duca alguna me volvere a quedar cuando vuelva a hacer El Camino y se lo recomendare a mis amigos.

Beautiful property in quiet location away from the main hustle and bustle but very easy to get to the center of things. Modern, clean, comfortable room. My only criticism is the hotels.com listing check in time was incorrect: at the property their brochures list that it begins at 13:30 so we had to wait a bit.

Excelente estadía en Arzúa. Lo único fue que llegamos un poco tarde ya que hicimos el tramo de Palas del Rei a Arzúa y entendíamos que habíamos hecho reserva para cenar. No resultó así, y la disponibilidad de cena en Arzúa era bien limitada. Excepto eso, todo bien.

La Casona de Nene is a beautiful place, great accommodations, quiet, and great rest after a long walk. staff was super kind, and even prepared the breakfast to go for the following day that we were leaving early in the morning.

The boutique style

Excellent service. They did laundry service in 2 hours.

Charming rooms, small. Nice location; warm welcome - lots of info; laundry service offered - very important on Camino! Lovely patio/courtyard with plunge pool.

Good but there is no refrigerator in the room. Reasinable price.

Amazing great breakfast

Outstanding service

I stayed for a couple of days to rest up for the final days on the Camino. The staff were very helpful in finding a massage place that was open this early in the season and scheduling an appointment for me. The rooms were roomy and comfortable and clean and charmingly decorated.

Tha administrators atention with us was excellent, she was wounderful and the hotel in general was outstanding!

This place is very quaint and the staff is incredibly nice and helpful (Rosanna - hotel; and Adrien- restaurant). Nice clean and comfy room. Excellent meal. We would definitely return!

Casa Carla is wonderful

Mari Carmen was very attentive to us. We'd just walked 15 miles (24 kms) on the Camino. She had fresh water, milk, and bread for us. The next morning she let us stay an extra hour. Quaint small town oozing charm, too.

Room a little small (single) but very well appointed and modern. Restaurant ( not adjacent to hotel) was fabulous- especially lunch and dinner!

Nice hotel but chilly room

The room was very nice however the room was cold as the hotel controls the temperature. Fine during the summer but not in November.

Highlight of my stay in Spain - excellent

This is a wonderful place to stay - and the man who greeted us at reception was so welcoming, kind and informative about the area in general. The property is beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. I was doing the camino so only staying one night but I would certainly come back here and gladly stay for longer - this place is a gem and a real find!!!

Refuge along the Camino

Stayed one night before starting our 15 day volunteer stint in local pilgrim hostel. Family owned with restaurant down the hill. Food was excellent, hotel on back street and quiet. I have stayed in hotel along main road before and that was very noisy at night with trucks. This was much better. Great price, friendly and helpful staff with good English skills.

Lovely new boutique hotel in Arzua

This is a new lovely hotel run by 2 brothers. We stayed there while walking the Camino de Santiago. The service was excellent. They could not have been more attentive to our needs. We also dined at their restaurant Casa Nene. The food and service was excellent as well.

Lovely new hotel but room very small

We were greeted by a fantastic gent who went out of his way to help us. The hotel had only been open 10 days and due to teething problems we were given a room too small for 3 adults. As there was a music festival on the receptionist explained that he did not have another room to give us. For less than 3 people this would have been lovely and as we were exhausted we were pleased just to have a bed for the night. The receptionist did not charge us the full amount which made the stay even better! Shared bathroom was exceptionally clean. I would reccomend this hotel.

La Casona de Nene is a B&B just off Arzua main street. The room was acceptably spacious and decorated with great attention to details in a heavy flowery style, however it did not have any writing desk but only a rack to hang clothes. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom had a basic toiletries supply and unfortunately a very annoying sensor-activated light, which kept going on and off with excessive frequency. The B&B also as a pool which we didn't try because of the rain. The receptionist is kind and welcoming. The main problem of this establishment is the breakfast, which is provided in their restaurant located around 500 meters from La Casona de Nene, and in pouring rain it was not a pleasant walk to and fro! Moreover, the B&B is priced well above the market and in line with a 3-star hotel, and for that price the breakfast was not satisfactory: it is not a buffet breakfast and there is no choice of food nor refilling. Overall, it looks like a place that cares more for appearance than substance and it is not worth the price they charge.

This is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed at, I’ll start with some story time: My friend and myself were doing El Camino de Santiago, it was the longest walk and we were running behind, suddenly it was dark and we were in the middle of nowhere, right at this point Adrian from the hotel called us to ask if we were ok because it was already too late to be walking El Camino, we told him where we were and he went to picked us up when the taxi driver didn’t pick up the phone, he literally saved us, we can’t thank him enough!!! He helped us make a reservation at the restaurant which is also a must try! - La Casa de Nené Restaurant- The hotel is wonderful, the service is great, the decoration is amazing and the breakfast is highly recommended. If you have the chance to stay there while visiting Arzùa please do, you won’t regret it!

Expedia no informa que la propiedad no tiene elevador, no tiene un servicio contínuo de recepción. Las valijas hay que subirlas a un segundo piso y también bajarlas. El checkin fue desastroso. Había una feria, por lo cual el auto no podía llegar al frente de la propiedad y ´por lo menos dejar las maletas. El recepcionista llegó a la 1 pm y luego se fue. Las maletas se pudieron llevar hasta las 5 pm, hora en que terminói la feria, pues el único parqueo viable para el auto, se encuentra a una distancia considerable. No recomiendo este lugar.

Lugar acogedor con gente amable.

Mercedes nos recibió con tanta amabilidad. Llegamos caminando de Arzúa exhaustos y rápido nos puso en las manos una botella de agua fría. Nos dio ánimo para seguir el camino. El lugar es muy lindo. La cama muy cómoda. Todos súper amables. Lo único es que había un poco de moho en la ducha. Pero fuera de eso todo súper limpio y cómodo. La decoración fue muy acogedora.

Parada 5 estrellas!

La combinación de la Casona de Nené con el restaurante es maravillosa. Todo cuidado y con un gusto exquisito. El restaurante con una cocina cuidadisima y una excelente carta de vinos, y los camareros buenos conocedores de todo.

apenas o wifi do nosso andar estava quebrado, como era final de semana, nao teve como consertar.

Todo resultó estupendo: habitación, decoración, limpieza, atención... Pero el desayuno fue lo mejor!

Excelente hotel decorado con muy buen gusto

Hicimos una parada durante el Camino de Santiago, el recibimiento no pudo ser mejor, pues veníamos cansados de caminar durante horas con todo el calor, y la chica de la recepción nos ofreció una botella de agua fría a cada uno. El hotel está reformado y decorado con muy buen gusto, y agradecimos la piscinita quiero tenía para refrescarnos. Por la noche cenamos en su restaurante y a la mañana siguiente desayunamos allí también, excelentes productos de la tierra y buena atención, aunque el precio un poco caro. Sin duda 100% recomendable.

Súper acogedor y bien ubicado

Hotel súper acogedor. Con una decoración con estilo romántico que nos encantó. Limpio y silencioso. El desayuno estupendo. Aunque yo avise cuando reserve de que era celiaca y no lo tuvieron en cuenta; ya que no tenían pan sin gluten. Aunque un fallo lo tiene cualquiera porque lo que me sirvieron estaba buenísimo.

Nice decoration

Very nicely decorated and very comfortable bed! Small room though, and the pool is more of a bathtub. Overall very nice - but slightly overpriced.

Paredes de papel

Solo un par de cosillas: no tiene ascensor (de momento) y las paredes son de papel...se oye absolutamente todo!! Por lo demás fenomenal, camas muy cómodas y la atención de 10!

Gran hotel!!

Asistimos al festival de la luz con un stand, asi que decidimos quedarnos a dormir en este hotel, era la primera vez que íbamos y es para repetir. Los llamamos para decirles que no llegariamos hasta las 3.00 de la mañana y no nos pusieron ninguna pega, todo lo contrario, siempre facilitándonos las cosas, al final acabamos antes y a llegamos a la 1.00 de la mañana,nos vinieron a buscar desde donde dejamos el coche para llegar al hotel. La habitación muy cómoda con todo lo necesario. Hotel reformado y el personal muy agradable. El desayuno de 10. Para repetir.

Nuovissima struttura

La struttura era stata aperta da una settimana, arredi carinissimi, pulita e letti davvero comodi. L'unica pecca è che non c'era il Wi-Fi, ma essendo aperta da pochi giorni il personale ci ha spiegato che sarebbe stato montato a breve :) i due fratelli che ci hanno accolto sono stati molto gentili, parlano bene anche in inglese. La struttura inoltre ha un ristorante vicino nel quale è possibile mangiare davvero bene
