The property has potential if the hotelanagers or administration would invest in the up keep. Food was very limited, no activities directly from the hotel, you needed to book with another hotel in order to do activities. The staff was really friendly and very respectful and willing to accommodate, but they can't help the limitations that they are up against.
Updated maintenance of the property is BADLY needed. Room had mildew smell. Sheets didn’t smell fresh.
You stay with tha nature and the sound of the ocean. Paradise place
Not what we expected. The check in process left a lot to be desired, we were not provided any instructions on the hotel (such as dining hours, pool towels or wifi) or given a map. After being led to our room, we found it had only been partially cleaned before our arrival. Stains were present on the furniture, the lock was broken on the door etc. During our stay we had to phone the front desk for multiple issues in the room (AC stopped working, water leaking through the roof) and we did have a prompt response to those concerns. The majority of staff were absolutely lovely. The grounds were well maintained despite the buildings themselves being a little run down. We found that the pool bar was only manned occasionally leading to some difficulties getting drinks throughout the day. The website for the hotel lists three different restaurants, however it is really one restaurant with three different menus that vary throughout the week. There was no buffet, it was all food that had to be ordered. Also, not once in our week long stay did they have all items lists on the menu.
Our experience here was better than average based on the reviews. For travel on a budget, we had a great time. There were plenty of things that didn't work, or weren't available, but I found myself enjoying the things that did and were. We had some standout staff members who were super friendly, like Faustino and Fernando, that made us some of the best margaritas we have ever drank! The food we had was flavourful, served quickly, and felt good to eat (no sickness here). The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet, even during the storm that came in through the week. The downsides were mostly that some of the facilities need maintenance. Our AC didn't work, and neither did the jets in our jacuzzi (though it did get clean hot water!). Apart from that there were some limited options when it came to food, even running out of beer entirely for a day. A few more staff, more frequent restocking, and some maintenance would have made this trip a 5/5. For the price we paid, with the expectations we had, I would recommend Kore to anyone traveling for all-inclusive on a budget.
Very old and outdated. The property needs a lot of maintenance. The staff is great and responsive. Many of the problems are out of their control. The food was good, but all of the deserts we had were not very good. A lot of gym equipment is broken. It seems like a very neglected place and it used to be a great place to come. Again, the staff are amazing. Check out more recent reviews of this place before staying. I think we came at the beginning of the season and they were getting everything ready and back in the swing of things.
Skeleton staff 1 place to eat no managers on duty to speak to NOT 1. Was charged a few to leave
Kore is a very big resort but not a lot of people. If you're looking for something fun this isn't the place. It's more for an older crowd. Everything was nice besides the food. It's only 1 restaurant on the resort it serves breakfast lunch & dinner but the food isn't good.
Very clean, friendly
This place says it’s a four which maybe 21/2 they count how much they give suppose to have breakfast buffet they did not and didn’t even have the menu items. Caught staff having sex on empty room. No airconditioning in half the rooms. Staff is rude and lie!! This place is a dump.
The Staff was very friendly
Bad experience
The menu is very limited as it is only one restaurant. The resort definitely needs some upgrades as it is showing its age
the food ia terrible
Great service and food options with room service included. Great stay!
The physical property is nice. They have so much potential if they fix everything else. That being said, their food is HORRIBLE. They didn’t have multiple restaurants as stated the one restaurant. For every meal, more than half the menu was unavailable. Of what they had, most of it didn’t taste good. They also barely had basic things like juice. The margaritas were rank. Most of the servers were rude as well. It’s like they wanted to be upset with you for asking questions about what they had available. I even had one walk away from me during breakfast while I was asking him questions for clarity. Lastly, the front desk staff is a bit oblivious too. S
The best things going for this property are the pool, the view of the ocean and the restaurant staff. I’m not sure what happened prior to my stay, but some days we were with that water. The restaurant barely had items on the menu, the soda didn’t even have carbonated water lol. I don’t know why this property is still being listed as a top-notch resort. There was tape all over a lot of windows Advertising the spy is a joke , as it was in ruins and not operable. The workout room smelled horrible and the equipment barely worked. There were NO CENOTES Available until the day we were leaving. The mini bar was empty when we got there, and when we left, it only had four things in it. There were water stains all over the ceilings, The AC barely worked. The TV kept going in and out, and the villa is poorly lit. It is really indeed of some love and attention.
It could be more light in the rooms. Beautiful resort. The bartender at the pool was nice and awesome. The bar inside the resort was nice and the bartender was always nice.
Quiet and peaceful. Nice staff.
For the low price I was satisfied and there were certain things like the cool forest jungle vibe and the view of the ocean from the pool that were really nice. The food and drinks were not good but good enough to eat. We only got 2 small bottles of water per day, room service didn't have wine available to order. There is only one restaurant. There is no beach access, I guess I wrongly assumed this when booking. There are no free activities. There is a free bike rental which is nice because nothing is walking distance and the resort didn't have anything to do other than sleep, eat or go to the pool or gym but despite how vacant the resort seemed, the bike rental was often unavailable and at full use. This place is not luxury it's mid level, if you're satisficed with basic needs being met and a nice vibe in Tulum I highly recommend it however if you have decent high standards for feeling like you're being treated really well and staff goes above and beyond I don't recommend this place.
DO NOT BOOK HERE. I booked this hotel for my boyfriend and I and it was an absolute horrible experience. I seen the ratings 8/10 on Expedia and as I go back to write a review I can see how their ratings dropped within A MONTH. It is NOT ALL INCLUSIVE. First day we were there, the water in the shower was not draining and backing up. We were in room 2201. The next day they moved us to room 3108. They did not have anyone help us with our luggage and all they did to compensate us was give us a dinner. We payed extra to have a room with a jacuzzi and when we turned the water on the tub was FILTHY. The staff was not friendly and gave attitude. Our tv also didn’t work for two days and it took them two days to resolve the issue by giving us a new tv in which took 5 minutes. It took them two days to resolve something that took only a couple minutes. When we went to the front to make them aware of the issue, Lizabeth did absolutely nothing to compensate us for the troubles. They only give you two small tiny water bottles a day if you’re lucky. They also charge $5 a small bucket of ice. NO FULLY STOCKED MINI BAR. The sheets and towels still felt and smelt dirty. There is NO BEACH access in the hotel and also NO CENOTE like they advertised. You have to walk about 10 minutes down to get to a beach which is at another hotel. We were unable to find the cenote advertised. The restaurant, yes only singular, had dry little choices and most of them were unavailable. Rentals are also not free.
This place was nothing like an All-Inclusive Resort at all, unfortunately. Everything about it was disappointing from the start and not like the experience the website advertised. There was suppose to be 2 restaurants, but there was only 1, and the “themed” dinner options every night were not the same as detailed on the website, and the food was absolutely terrible, like leftovers from another place’s buffet, barley warm & chewy like it had been sitting out all day. The alcoholic drinks were no better, watered down with minimal alcohol mixed in, if any. The staff treated us as if we were an inconvenience and unwelcome, instead of as paying guests. There was a hidden “environmental” fee that was never mentioned, and the website had also advertised Free Admission to Jaguar Park, but this was not true either. The free bike accommodation was available, but there were only a total of 4 to use, and 3 of them had chains that kept coming undone or flat tires. Normally not one to complain or write bad reviews, but I think in this case it’s important for future patrons to beware and know what they are really getting when they choose to stay at Kore “Retreat” Tulum. Hopefully they will take this feedback and make some major changes and adjustments for the better.
Food in dining was average. In my room the wrong coffee bag. Woke up on my birthday to 3 big roaches and one was alive and crawling and the they didn’t even pick up one when cleaning. Property beautiful but not very well maintained. Room was big and comfy and also clean.
Very misleading and disappointing
This was overall the most disappointing experience of a vacation. Everything advertised on the website and on hotels.com is the furthest from the truth. They advertised all-inclusive however we couldn’t have mimosas with our breakfast because we couldn’t have alcohol until 11am. They advertised having 3 restaurants, they had one restaurant. The food had to be ordered, nothing buffet style, the options were limited daily. Not even cereal, bagels, fruit was out to serve ourselves. Many items were not available when it came time to order. Room service ends at 10:30pm (again supposed to be all inclusive). Our jacuzzi took almost 3 hours to fill up and very dirty. The jacuzzi next to the pool was broken. The shower pressure was off and on daily. The water barely came out after adjusting for at least 10 minutes. There were no activities on the days we went to the pool. While there was no desire to watch tv on vacation, with nothing else to do at times the TV was very small and didn’t work at times. The outlets were not charging our phones. Last but not least the workers were not the most friendly which made the experience even worse. Trying to make the best of a bad situation and then having to no have great service made this the worst travel experience for my partner and I. I do not recommend at all.
At the end of the trip, they lost wifi for a whole day and lied and said it was the whole city of tulum when it was only the resort. We also found out their chef quit over a month ago so it was the resort workers that were cooking for us who probably don't have any experience on professional cooking. Only one restaurant-2 mentioned in website. Did not have most of what was on the menu. Same breakfast and lunch everyday. Food gave me diarrhea. AC did not work in the room. Shower head pressure was weak Stains and blood on the bed sheets and pillow. Bed sheets old and gray not smell good. Tub was filthy and water didn't turn on. Room service would not provide me with water bottles or fridge beverages. Trying to be greedy and save in all areas such as food/beverages and bathroom supplies. There is NO beach access. There's barely any people at this resort, including workers. This resort is not worth the $1700 I paid and the owner is ripping people off. You do not get the value out of the money you pay for towards this resort.
-Only 1 restaurant available at this resort. Most of the food on the menu was unavailable. No chef, regular employees cooking in the kitchen. Therefore, most of the food on the menu did not match what they were cooking for you! -No beach access from this resort! -Yellow/gray, smelly bed sheets and pillows. -Rude servers!
Best service ever thank you to Sergio and the staff !
For my first experience to Mexico, this resort was terrible. There were no amenities like stated on their website, no activities, there’s no access to the beach, they stole money out of our rooms, there was only one restaurant open when there was suppose to be two. There was barely anyone on the resort and the bartenders were getting frustrated that we were asking for a lot of drinks when we paid for an all inclusive stay. Then they only have bottom shelf liquor, my mini bar wasn’t filled with any snack nor drinks. I’m not sure why this resort is even open or how it even stays open.
RUN, DO NOT STAY HERE! This place was not at all what we expected. It’s very rundown, the food is terrible, the rooms were not clean, the a/c unit smelled of mildew. The sound from joining rooms is so loud feels like your neighbors are in the same room as you. Save your money and go elsewhere.
There was no adult entertainment, no drinking alcoholic beverages till after 11am. There was only one restaurant in the whole resort with limited options and they did not offer any buffet options which was advertised. There is no beach available to swim or to enjoy. The beach that’s closest to the resort is kinda far and you must pay an entrance fee. My best option is to go to a bigger resort.
One of the best vacations I have had . Every staff member was amazing. Very friendly, accommodating, and went above and beyond . We all called each other by name . They treated me and my husband like family . Everything was amazing , food , the room the stay . Loved it !
Property was not busy at all. Pool was ok. Got a room with hot tub, never worked, so the upgrade cost was wasted. Hot tubs by pool closed for work so on shade structure. Food was disappointing. Staff was all pretty good. It is a property in need of upgrades. Never did hear back on fixing our room hot tub or discount on room price. I would most likely not stay here again.
Mostly great staff. Love the quietness, Wines are a must to have let’s work on that. Not having beach access is hurting the hotel. Get more umbrellas at the pool.
Property was with out power when it was booked. We were informed when we were going to check in. Now we have to dispute the charges since they wouldn’t refund then. We didn’t check in or go to the room since they couldn’t tell us a time of when the power would be restored.
It waa fun
Property was beautiful & right next to the ocean.
HORRIBLE!! we moved to 6 rooms in two days due to noAC’s in the rooms. On the 1st night room change #5, they made us sleep where staff sleeps. We found out in the morning. Room change#6 had AC but we were forced to take ice cold showers every day, they ran out of ice on the resort. We paid extra for a jacuzzi suite, the jacuzzi was broken. There is only one restaurant even tho it’s advertised as 3 on site. They consistently ran out of food from the menu daily. There was no swim up bar due to construction. There were no bottles of waters or drinks in the fridge even though, we booked an all inclusive package. We attempted to schedule a massage, the day of , they called our room and cancelled it. Room service was advertised ending at 1am. On the first night we called at 1030om, and they said room service was over. We tried to call a cab to go out , twice, and were overcharged, until realizing the front desk receptionist who works the night shift, was contacting her boyfriend or someone she personally knew via text message to get us. She threw 3 prices at us that he sent her through text, until we said we would just call another cab service that we had written down. Once she saw we had other options, miraculously the price dropped. And when we finally agreed, the same man arrived to get us for a third time, so she was in on the scam. Lastly, the manager Victor, promised he would refund us for inconvenience. He lied and said he would but has been dodging Orbitz emails/calls!
Staff, especially dining staff very nice. The pool was decent. Overall the property needs to be updated and fixed. Its dirty, not the rooms...the property. There was poop ( iguanas) everywhere, broken door knobs, cracks in the ceiling, dirt in the ocean, bugs inside common areas ( ants, I saw a few roaches). Needs a serious deep cleaning.
I loved the food! All the staff were so nice!! The views are amazing here too. One thing I really loved was that you are able to get the Colectivo within walking distance. They charge 20-30 pesos to take you to the main town.
Limited food for breakfast lunch and dinner. All 3 days there was no syrup for the pancakes, more than half the menu unavailable everyday. The dinner only consist of an Asian style dish or Italian style dish. Iguanas all over the dining area. And many of raccoons! Room service is suppose to be until 1:30am everyday but instead it closed at 10:30am. No wash clothes available! Pool was extremely dirty the first day. Also there is 1 swim up bar and only 1 day the bar was open until 6pm. All other days you had to find an employee to get drinks. Super short staffed. water pressure in the shower was so low it was almost unusable. No beach area. One of the worst ever!
The place is lovely, but they are not very eco-friendly due to the water coming out of the taps to fill the hot tub so slowly that it takes 2 hours to fill, and therefore much energy is wasted due to it cooling down. Also, I stayed 3 nights, and we only had hot water on one of those nights, and this appears to have been an issue for at least a month, based on Google Maps reviews.
It was my first time staying at this resort, and most likely it won't be the last. The food is 5 stars, and the staff is super friendly! I liked everything about this resort. I highly recommend it to my family and friends.
Kore Tulum is a beautiful resort! The grounds are amazing. My room was huge and had all of the features described in the ad. It is on the edge of a national park and an easy walk to many attractions. Staff were friendly and very helpful. I definitely recommend and will stay here again!
We booked all inclusive but then they made us pay an extra $980 for an "all inclusive". Even after paying almost 1k extra nothing advertised on their website was free. We had to pay for bikes, beach access, parking and Jaguar park. Several things in our room that we paid extra for was not functioning such as jetted tub, shower and safe. There was no mini bar, soda nor bottled water as advertised. We had a view of the maintenance building vs garden view. Drink were not served from 7a-1a as advertised. There is only 1 restaurant.
They were dirty and had the cleaners in my room watching tv instead of cleaning up. The water was brown and the food was awful. I would not recommend
The property had no working water and when they finally turned it on it was cold. I booked a jacuzzi room that i was unable to use and didn’t get refunded for so i wasted my money. The resort looked deserted. I saw less than 10 guests here during my stay. Very unkept, not worth the price, and management and staff are unhelpful. I would not recommend this place or ever stay here again. I checked out the NEXT DAY, i couldn’t do it.
I booked at the Kore for 4 days 3 nights. To start off, the hotel / villa has no proper management. It is an extension of another resort in Cancun which their gains are sent to. The maintenance was poor. To start off with the bathroom, the shower heads were extremely dirty and i had a ceiling leak in the bathroom as well. I reported it to the front desk and they said it was my fault for lowering the thermostat in the room. I had a leak in the bathroom and no a.c at that point. I asked if we can change rooms, the lady at the front denied at first until maintenance told her it was unsafe for us to stay there because the floors were all wet after filing TWO complaints. The resort was empty and she first told us there were no rooms available then switches us with no issue. The excursions were all done outside of the resort so at that point we were being passive about the issues, however at the end they charged me 100 USD for key towels i was never given. MY ADVICE, pay all you can in cash and limit access to your cards because they will take money, the resort / villa is struggling and are not investing into fixing the issues. If youre looking for a great Tulum experience dont let the rating fool you, this is not it.
First off... I will definitely be staying at the Kore again. This resort is so close to being 5 Star. Pros... Suites are huge... Walking in to the room it is breath taking... You immediately calm and relaxed... Huge windows, sliding doors, and curtains. The Kore is it's own little village secluded and safe enough to take a night strolle around the property. The staff takes pride in cleanliness... The staff is up early prepping the property for the day and it's guest. Cons... The Kore just needs some love... I'm not sure if they have one but a Property Manager and/or Event Coordinator to oversee updates to the rooms, buildings, weight room equipment would make such a huge difference. Another suggestion is maximizing the safety and seclusion with in house activities, game nights... They have a building that could be used for movies, Dance nights, food tastings, etc. I really enjoyed my stay... Sitting out on the balcony at night feeling the breeze off the ocean was so peaceful and relaxing.
Loved it
Very outdated and food is terrible
Relaxing and quiet. Staff helpful. Walking outside to get to reception amd restaurant so need umbrella when raining. Vegetarian options can be increased from pasta , tortillas and fruit.
Utilities went out multiple times
The staff was nice. Friendly and helpful. I do wish they had some type of notice about the power outages that the area was experiencing. It was out of their control but it would have been good to know before it happened and I had no AC for a few hours. I will say that Miguel and the other lady at the front desk were beyond accommodating and tried to help in all possible way to make our stay better.
The resort is very small and quiet. We expected a beach by the hotel. Is not even a beach, just a bunch of rocks and seaweed water. You can’t even go in that water. The only nice thing I can say is the restaurant staff were lovely. But the front desk useless and rude !!!! Customer service receptionist was Extremely ignorant and rude. The water was gone for like 8 hours. They lie and said is coming back soon. No AC for an entire night. The Fridge not fully stocked for an all inclusive, we had to keep asking for what we already paid for. More water. More sodas. Don’t bother going to this hotel.
Food was worse than expected, jacuzzi in room was an any colony, had issues getting service at various times, and facilities were poorly maintained. Drinks were excellent most of the time and the staff very friendly, but they were short handed all the time so service was in consistent (not their fault).
Beautiful property! Staff was amazing and helpful. Many areas for good pictures. Food was not good at all.
The entire experience was amazing!! The staff (Kevin and Monica) were so friendly! The waiter staff was so much fun and friendly as well. I will be coming back in December.
Great place to stay, all the staff were very nice, attentive, helpful and proper I highly recommended specially for adults only. Thanks to all of you for making me feel at home.
We booked 2 nights here as a special treat for our honeymoon. Sadly the property fell far short of our expectations, given what we paid (8000pesos for B&B - not all-inclusive). While staff were helpful, we encountered a series of frustrating issues: - No hot water across the hotel. We couldn't shower or use the in-room jacuzzi, which was the very reason we picked this hotel. - Only 1 pair of slippers given. - Nobody restocked the fridge after day 1. - 1 lamp in the room had a broken lightbulb. - Iron wasn't working. We requested a replacement, waited 30 mins, and nothing came. Later we asked again, and nothing came. We called 15 minutes later, and finally one arrived. - Bathroom scales were broken. - They removed the facecloth after day 1, but did not replace it. Overall, this was a desperately disappointing experience given that we had chosen a special 4* hotel for our honeymoon. Whenever we raised issues with staff, responses were slow. They moved us to a new room at 2130 on day 2, promising "sea view", but it was obviously pitch black! We demand a refund. Elsewhere, it was unclear where to collect and drop off towels for the pool. This should have been made obvious. Equally, it was unclear whether the drinks in the room fridge were free (they were, it turns out), but it would have been nice to know this.
Ocean view but access to the ocean closed due to seaweed. Room was sprayed with heavy Raid and it was terrible. Had to switch. Food mediocre. Staff was good. Good pool.
The staff was amazing but the upkeep of the property is subpar mold at the pool, inside of the shower on the shower heads.Daybeds aren’t always made up. Pools need to be cleaned more often. Overall the experience is nice but the place needs more work.
Limited parking
The property was beautiful, however the pictures did the property more justice than it should. You couldn’t go to the beach within the resort but you had to pay to go to another entrance for the beach. The pool bar closes at 6 pm. The food wasn’t too pleasing either. There wasn’t much to do at/around the resort without having to go far.
They are liard. The peoples who are worry there.
The hot tub in the room did not function. The room wasn't clean thoroughly throughout the stay. Room service was great food was good. The pool was not clean. The hot tubs by the pool were not hot. Was a nice location by the ocean.
This was actually my first time at al resort at all. I wasn’t sure what to expect. I had heard different things about resorts about all kinds of activities and stuff happening all the time. Lots of laughs and booze. Kore was not that and we were so glad!! My partner and I both needed to rest so for us, this was literally the most perfect place we could have gone. It was quiet, and peaceful. The sea was right beside us and so memorizing. The food was mostly good and the staff were all great! The only negative things we really found was that we didn’t have our own beach. We walked about an half hour to get to a beach. Second thing was the steaks on BBQ night. They weren’t to good. Overall we were very happy though and will likely be back some day. Thank you Kore Tulum. Catharine and John
Did not like the food they serve for dinner, food tasted old , meat-beef had a strange color and texture white and tasted weird , we don’t know if it was old or what they were serving, bar only served chipset liquor and keeps running out of beer, people had to wait for at least 3-hours, we had to rent our own vehicle and find dining places somewhere else, the hole experience was a waist of time and money
Staff were excellent specially bartenders( Freddy and Jorge Louise )were very friendly Overall all workers were excellent Thanks we had amazing time
This property Is in need of a Major makeover.,the rooms are outdated. 1 dining area for the entire resort.. The food is served cold and tasteless
This property is old and out dated not worth the price. The all inclusive is a joke. Only one restaurant and drinks are limited on choices.
If it was out of 10, we would give it 7.5. The facility is nice, jetted tub in the room was nice! Great size, we had a balcony, and stand in rainfall shower. The shower door didnt stay closed though, so the bathroom floor often got wet. Also, there was some water damage in the room that should be addressed. The breakfast was good, but we didn't enjoy the food thoroughout the day so much. But we do understand this can be a preference. Staff was nice. The pool was nice. The beach on the property wasn't usable, it was more like a bay. But overall, we would stay again. It's a 15 ride to town or to the beach hotel strip, so pretty central.
Beach is unaccessible! I booked this trip because it said it was accessible...Smh!
Everythings good
The place did not have a working television or phone. This was not an all-inclusive hotel The staff at the front desk were not helpful at all The WiFi was not working I paid for lunch and dinner only breakfast was complimentary which is not stated on the website.
The Kore Tulum was exactly what I was looking for as a solo female traveler. It felt safe, relaxed, and the staff was always attentive to us. I made a lot of connections with people here as the atmosphere is fun and festive, but without it being like a huge party. If you’re looking for a resort with clubs, you will not find those here. This is very budget friendly and I really enjoyed my time here. I do recommend venturing out for an excursion or two and one dinner to get a taste of what Tulum has to offer.
The property itself was good, the food was not so great at all but it was a peaceful stay also do not drink or brush your teeth with the sink water if you can get bottled water that would be great! The servers were okay there was definitely a couple of them who did not give us any service at all came and take our order and we literally were waiting over an hour until we had to ask another waiter to help us and then we basically got the point and just sat at that waiter table anytime we had to go to the restaurant
THERE US NO BEACH. It us all cliffs. I enjoyed the swimming pool. My room and bedding were very smelly. Towels were old and dirty. Bathroom was not clean on a daily basis. Reception staff were not helpful at all to meet guests needs. Kitchen staff were nice and very helpful
Great experience. Lots of pool activities to do. Never too crowded. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
We really tried to like this "resort", but it just kept letting us down. It's very outdated, lackluster and has nothing going on. The bedding smelled of sweat and body odor. But when it was changed a couple days later, there was no odor anymore. We found a few large cockroaches scuttling around the room. We caught them under an ice bucket so when the cleaners came, they would remove them. They were not removed until the second time the cleaners came and then we received a notice to be up and out of our room early the next day so it could be fumigated. We did not choose the all-inclusive package which was a good idea considering... Property states there are 2 restaurants, as well as a crepe stand. There was only one restaurant with 2 levels. Upon arriving after a long journey, we were told the only option was to pay $85 USD each for the buffet dinner. When we declined, we were then offered an a-la-carte menu which we had asked for in the first place. We ordered a few items, one being a steak sandwich which we could not bite through, nor cut through with a knife. The side of potatoes tasted like they had been reheated several times over the last few days. They we grainy, dry and hard. The food was entirely inedible. We did not eat there again except for the free breakfast where they do have fruit and someone making omelets. Everything else at the buffet was questionable to say the least. No communication between staff.
Not bad
Beautiful location, had bikes, which we were able to ride to the Tulum ruins. Extremely friendly staff, no beach, but we were able to ride our bikes to beach just a couple kilometers away. Grounds were beautiful, but does need some repair work. Overall, a great place to stay for short stay.
I was treated very nice by the workers
Amazing .... Except 2 things!
Everything was wonderful except the day bartender at the pool bar. He wasnt the nicest and never smiled. The evening bartender in the lounge, Freddy was an absolute delight and so entertaining. We were huge fans of his service and his positive attitude and energy. We loved visiting him before we went to dinner. The only other complaint we had was dinner. The food just wasnt very good. It came out cool to the touch and very bland. Breakfast and lunch were great! Food was hot and tasted wonderful.
Amazing
Great stay, a few hiccups but the staff handled everything very quickly.
For starters if you’re reading this, THIS PLACE IS NOT ALL INCLUSIVE AS SAYS. You’re still going to be charged for all food and drinks. Food isn’t good so we ordered for delivery. Great staff, you must ask for clean sheets . Beautiful quiet environment with swim up bar.
It needs more on dining and customer care.
Dont recommend
Not impressed. Lots of maintenance needs to be done to rooms and plumbing. Jaquzzi has very little water pressure same with shower. Both my wife and i got food poisoning. Did not enjoy my stay at all. Food was not appealing. Fish taco inedible due to old cooking oil smell. Got sick at di ner so did my wife. Did not enjoy our stay or felt it was worth the dollar value to stay there. Not impressed at my first all inclusive resort.
The property was very beautiful, and the staff made you feel at home! Highly recommend!
Many things on the website were not true. There was no crepery, the in room Jacozzi is unusable because the water trickles in and is cool.
Called for service multiple times, related to access to the safe, they told us we needed to be in our room. We were there for 2 hours and no one still came. At that point it was very late so we stopped waiting. The balcony area was not recently cleaned, layers of dirt on the chairs and cobwebs. Staff was friendly. Up keep off the overall properly is not what's presented on the pictures. The pool is missing tiles, limited with towels at the pool. Limited availability of bicycles (10 total), and the property is not close to things so that would be a great option to see things without a car. Overall needs an update, tha all inclusive pay does not reflect the provided amenities.
I wish I could say I had a great time in Tulum, but this hotel wrecked any chance of that. I booked with a large group and sadly we all had a bad experience here over the course of 4 days. Pros- Lovely pool, bar and waitstaff were very friendly. Breakfast buffet was great. Cons- Food took 1-2 hours when dining at the restaurant for lunch or dinner. This was very consistent and we dined in small groups at these hours. Quality of the served food was simply very poor. We tried a different option each day hoping that each unappetizing dish was a fluke, but this was consistent. The last few days we simply had to eat elsewhere. We had items stolen from our safe in the room and the code changed. I alerted the front desk and then the concierge. They attempted to gaslight me and nothing was done about it, and I have followed up with them many times, before and after leaving the property. After reading reviews, this is a consistent issue. We were not told that removing the wrist band would be an issue- but one of the girls in our party removed hers and we were nearly not let back into the property after being out for late night drinks, with documentation that we were staying there. This is upon many other issues- brown water coming from the faucet, being denied drinking water, inconsistent cleaning, many issues with 3rd party booking not aligning with what the property reported on their end. Will not be back, and sorry to report that I would not recommend anyone else do so either.
At best I would give 3 star property, dining staff GREAT, only 1 front desk person, no shuttle service, no recommendations, bike rental $10 (if your a. Guest it should be included) food option weren't fantastic - Oriental night dining needs to be removed . 1st room the lock on window non existent, called FD no help, well change your room tomorrow.. traveling solo let's say I was awake all night. Did not change my room until 4pm. 2nd room better, then Luke warm water/low pressure. Everything needs updating!!!! Lots of TLC REQUIRED
The resort is perfect for relaxing and spending some quiet time. The resort itself is very aesthetically pleasing. There are 2 public beaches nearby. The only thing we didn’t like was the food. It tasted stale and bland.
Alberto was the best part of our stay! Amazing entertainmrnt coordinator. The property can stand to provide a daily schedule of events so guest will know what is taking place daily. Also, making sure water is not brown in rooms for proper bathing to take place.
We pay extras money for the room have bathtub…you can’t even use it. Water is dripping in to the tub and not even hot…end up we have to use champagne bucket to carry water from the shower to fill up the tub. How terrible is that. Shower water even keep same temperature…minute cold next minute is hot burn. On hotel website said that few restaurants open on this property…is only one open and the food is so bad. Very dry and low quality. I always have mimosas with my breakfast when on vacation and they said no service wine till 11am. On grapes fruit tray have “maggots” I did call the manager to show him…I forgot to bring my phone to take pictures and post it here. I travel a lot I don’t complain unless very bad and terrible. The owner need to fix the water problem. Restaurant need to do better. All the staff is need and friendly. The room is clean.
The property has nice landscaping, pretty buildings, is quiet, and with a good ocean view. The main issue is water and amenities. The water pressure is low, sometimes comes out brown, almost always the wrong temperature. It made for uncomfortable showers and no jacuzzi in the room or spa as advertised because of the dysfinctional water. The amenities were inconsistent ... Things like did we get water in our rooms, shampoo, syrup for pancakes... For some reason these little things just were not consistently available. And the food was just average, pretty bland, but adequate portions.
Worst hotel I have ever stayed, the staff was very rude and unkind
The property was very clean and well maintained. I appreciated the tropical forest feel of the grounds.
This property was so awful that me and my family checked out after just one night. The towels were not clean, nor were the rooms. "Room Service" did not exist. I took pictures of the clumps of chlorine in the pool. Two restaurants were advertised; the hotel only had one. The list of problems with the place is endless. It is fraudulent of Expedia to advertise this hotel the way that it does. There should be laws against this.
