Impeckable

We enjoyed our stay at Sivalai Beach Resort very much. The staff are kind, observant and diligent. The facilities are highly maintenanced and both indoor and outdoor areas are kept clean, even the beaches are being swept, an effort that are highly apreciated. And most importantly, the kitchen there is really doing a great job. In all, we had a really time there.

It is an awesome property with a stunning beach and amazing staff. The beach villas are geat and the island is still not very mass touristy. It is a calm island so please don't go if you want to drink and party.

We loved the resort, but we saw a lot of plastic bags, cups, bottles on the beach. We picked them on our way. It’s sad to see so many, especially near the bridge. The resort could have provided beach bags for guests who wish to pick up plastic items. Thank you.

Nice beach. Bungalow a little dated. Bathroom dark. Check-in could be improved. Breakfast a bit chaotic. Evening meal tasty but more expensive and no better than walking into the village restaurants. Best location on the island.

Hard to communicate problem with reception. No instructions on how to operate safe box in a room. Employee communicate with walkie talkie. Hard to get around island through muddy roads. Island still recovering from Pandamic.

Awesome Resort

Soup to Nuts, my son and I had a wonderful stay. The room, staff and location were all top shelf. The resort was also clean and the grounds were maintained nicely.

Best place to stay on island of Koh Mook

Very nice accomodation in a great setting. Best place on Koh Mook no doubt. Seems all Thailand is still struggling post covid, and the island is no exception. Resort very well kept and maintained, cannot say the same for the rest of the island

Location perfect, unusual walk into village to get certain items, including local food vendors,getting there wasn't easy coming from another island, was detoured several hours

Wonderful stay at amazing location

Beautiful resort setting at the tip of Koh Muk island. Nicely appointed villa even “second” row, we still get view to the beach. But I have to say beachfront villa gets amazing view! The staffs are wonderful and very eager to help. The restaurant offers variety of selections- all good and reasonably price considering! Love to come back.

Very nice place. It's beautiful. Nice staff. Breakfast is nice too. Great stay. But some things could be improve for the money paid : - free fruits and/or snacks, not only the first day. It's usual in same hotels. - free bike and canoë - cleanless of swimmingpool.

Stunning location!

The location of this resort is absolutely stunning and rare experience you cannot get at many places. The rooms/bungalows were very nice with air condition, each with their own porch with sun-beds. What was not so good: The service was not the best, they did what they had to do but we were there when it was very quiet both due to covid19 situation and that it was end of the season so not many people at all. You’d think they would have the time to provide great service but they did not more than required at any time.. the food at the resort was not very nice at all and very overpriced so would not recommend eating there, you can have a drink to enjoy the amazing atmosphere and environment but go someplace else to eat to get more value for your money. But overall, if I wanted to go back to koh mook I definitely believe this is the only resort with that kind of standard and unique offers so would stay here again!

A piece of paradise

I booked a beachfront bungalow at Sivalai expecting some relaxing time and the resort met this expectation at 100%. The location is amazing and sand on the beach feels like flour. No other resort on Koh Mook has it. The bungalow is spacious and well designed but the bathroom is dated and water pressure is low. Great atmosphere at the resort, quiet and respectful guests, no parties. 2 very clean pools. We've also booked a massage at the spa and it was a relaxing experience. What could be improved is definitely the restaurant. It isn't bad, but value and flavor of the food are far behind some of those other great restaurants down the beach. Breakfast was plentiful but usually cold and not very flavorful. Another thing is that staff won't let you on the restaurant deck unless you're barefoot which was a huge issue for me as I had cut my foot badly on the coral and that floor was just FILTHY. In general the staff is nice but quite giggly and unprofessional. There is a bicycle rental on site but it closes at 5 PM so if you want to go the the other side of the island and watch the sunset, you need to look for rentals on town. There were shops on site with souvenirs and snorkel gear. I'd recommend this place as the best on the island but not a 5 star experience

This place is just beautiful. The breakfast is a bit spartanic. There are Sandbugs on the beach. Bring bugspray!

Pros: Very nice location. Staffs are helpful and friendly. Guest room size is very spacious. Cons: Bed and Pillow are hard. A lot of insects and mosquitoes.

The wow factor of one of the beachfront superior villas is undeniable. Would have given staff a 5 , but breakfast take away for a trip never materialised and 2 taxis for departure were not on time. The food in the restaurant for breakfast could include back bacon and English sausages would be nice. But overall stay was fantastic.

this spot was one of the highlights of our three week trip, Koh Mook island is what Thailand was 20 years ago. friendly, small feel, chill. the Sivalai resort is the biggest on the island, and is situated on the best beach, we stayed in a beach front bungalow, and it was amazing to wake up each morning and walk out to the water. the staff were awesome. it was a bit of a trek getting here, and they arranged everything for us!! the island is small, and there is always a friendly motorbike taxi driver ready to take you to Charlie beach for sunset, then around to any of the local restaurants afterwards. we had a great time at the resort and a great time exploring this wonderful little island

Picture Perfect Resort

Transferring from the mainland at Trang to the Sivalai Resort by sppedboat is a fabulous experience. The resort is picturesque and looks stunning with its powder white beach. We stayed in a beach front villa and wished that we had stayed for at least another night or two. The Villa was extremely comfortable and we used their laundry service for a freshen up of clothes. We only ate one night in the restaurant which is typical resort food but it was much more fun to venture into the local village for Thai street food plus supporting the local economy too.

Sivalai Beach, Koh Mook

Nice place to relax - beautiful sandy beach - a lot of good local places to eat (very cheap) If you are looking for a place with action, disco and so, Koh Mook is not the right place - but for 3-5 days to relaxing its perfect and the beach is the best on this Island

Hotel location is great. The beach is superb and the sand is glorious. However the sea is very shallow and not deep enough to swim duriymost of the day. The island is very quiet. Hotel prices are high compared to the local restaurants- would recommend the “Perfect Bar” which is located on the beach at the far end of the bay.

Our overall stay and experience was amazing and we would definitely return to stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and very comfortable and beautiful views of the beach.

Nice room

Very nice room. The resort is a bit overpriced as its' beach isn't anything special. Ko Kradan has nicer beaches and less expensive rooms and better restaurant options.

Stayed beachfront in Koh Lipe, but had passers by a lot. This is far better as secluded part of a beach. Best hotel in our island hopping adventure by far.

Clean and Comfort stay

This is a comfort hotel, with all the facilities & cleanliness you need. Good location, but lack of charm & liveliness. Staff is nice and polite. The view (as in the hotel web) is no longer as advertised, with beach erosion, the hotel protects its land with sand bags >> not so beautiful anymore. Farang beach, on the other side of the island, is worth a try.

Quiet resort

Beautiful location on a sand spit, with beaches on north and south side. Not much of a town nearby, but there are little markets to buy supplies. Pools are great but beaches are very shallow for quite a ways out. I recommend for a quiet and restful time.

Relaxing resort

We arrived in low season, the resort was quiet but very relaxing. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The restaurant was excellent.

Great stay, great island!

First of all, I would definitely recommend as the beach/island are great. The people at the hotel definitely made us feel welcome, but the place is absolutely basic, and I was disappointed at the restaurant. The menu stays the same each day/each meal, and the place is a bit aged overall, but as I say, I would definitely still visit.

Absolutely fantastic stay. Highly recommended! WiFi not too good and needs upgrading. Beautiful island with local community.

Good hotel except the water supply in the villa need improvement The water at washing basin flow like a tiny water jet; strong but small. That cause water splashes everywhere when you wash in reverse, the shower water supply in the shower is weak Feedbck but was told that it is the same in all villas Food is not as tasty yet double the price compare to other places like Charlie or hilltop

3 Night stay

Exactly what we wanted. Quiet and clean. Basic breakfast. We stayed in October, before high season. Looks like they were preparing beach for erosion control as a lot of sand bags were on the beach staged for positioning. That kind of took away from the beauty of the beach.

Expensive...but worth every penny!

The location of Sivalai is simply stunning and the primary reason for staying there. It is set out on a sandy split of land, surrounded on three sides by shallow, crystal clear sea, and soft, sandy beaches. Choose a beach front villa (we stayed in 105). Yes, they cost extra, but lying in bed in the morning with the Andaman sea stretching out beyond your feet is sensational. The terrace of the villa is virtually on the beach and in a few short steps you're in the sea. You really could not ask for a better beachfront location. Everything else is secondary to that location, and aside from breakfast we didn't make much use of the resort facilities. That said, the breakfast was very good. The villa itself is lovely with the bed in the very centre of the room, a desk/shelf behind it, and the bathroom behind that. The only downside was that the water in the shower smelt bad on occasion. The staff were a mixed bag - mostly very friendly and helpful (reception and housekeeping), but one or two a bit grumpy (restaurant). And the wifi works only in the reception and restaurant areas. So there are one or two things which prevent it from being perfect, but the location, the beach, the sea and the sunshine far outweigh the bad points. At USD 175 it is expensive, especially far this part of Thailand, but worth it for 4 or 5 nights and we will almost certainly be returning at some stage.

Very Good but Expensive!

We stayed here for 5 nights in April 2016. The resort is situated in a beautiful situation. Beautiful sand, sea. The resort is well laid out -- two or three bungalows wide rows -- but long! The grounds are well maintained. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Depending on where your bungalow is you could be a 5-minute walk to the Reception and dining area. Breakfast was excellent (for us). The bungalows are well equipped and cleaned extremely well. The swimming-pools were clean and good. We were very well pleased with our accommodation. However, we were with my son, his wife and two children who had booked and paid for a family room with two extra beds but this presented a problem as the Resort had only been given a booking for one child; although their printed copy of the booking acknowledgement clearly confirmed this booking it took over two hours of long-distance telephone calls (which resulted in nothing) and some quite heated discussion in Reception with the Manager before they were eventually given a second extra bed. NB: there are NO Family Rooms -- all the cabins are exactly the same size so be aware of this. It's an island so expect food and drink prices to be expensive -- with an added service charge plus VAT on top! Trips and transfers can be arranged at the Resort but if you are on a budget walk to the town and turn right towards the pier and you will find Mr Yong's 'shop' -- which is far cheaper and we found very reliable. Good hotel

The hotel is a nice one - not luxury but clean and with nice service. We had a first row villa which was large and comfortable and the restaurant on site served good food and a good breakfast.

Fantastisk sted, nydelig beach front villa (verdt å betale ekstra for). Våknet opp til en ubeskrivelig utsikt hver morgen med kaffe på sengen. Hvit sand som var som pulver. Nøt hvert øyeblikk her. God frokost buffet.

Fantastisk hotell

Fantastisk hotell med fantastisk beliggenhet. Rene og pene rom rett på stranden. Fantastisk god service. Vi hadde egentlig booke «second row» bungalows, men siden de hadde rotet med bestillingen, ble vi oppgradert til «first row» kostnadsfritt. Anbefaler alle first row, beste utsikten. Kommer garantert tilbake.

Superresort

Väldigt bra service och otroligt vänligt. Mycket vackert läge. Det enda negativa var att det finns sandflugor på stranden (små som bananflugor) vars bett blir som myggbett och kliar mycket. Det går att spraja sig med myggsprej men man får ju fylla på med nytt efter varje bad. Det är olika hur man tål dem men alla 3 i vår familj fick många och det kliar.

Flott sted som kan anbefales!

Det meste ved dette stedet er bra. Spesielt beliggenheten med strand på begge sider av odden hotellet ligger på. Bygninger og fasiliteter trekker kanskje litt på årene, men det gjør ikke noe. Utenfor hotellområdet i selve landsbyen er det stedvis litt rotete og forsøplet.

Das Personal ist besonders freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besonders Soon und Run haben einen großen Teil dazu beigetragen, dass unser Aufenthalt hier so gut gelungen ist. Dankeschön an die Beiden!

Tolle Hotelanlage am wunderschönen Strand. Herzlicher Empfang. Wir hatten den Bungalow 1st row- ein herrlicher Ausblick, besser geht es nicht. Das Restaurant ist neu renoviert, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Essen ist super, zu guten Konditionen. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und werden wieder kommen.

Einmalige Lage, tolle, geräumige Bungalows. Essen im Restaurant gut, Frühstück top. Pool könnte sauberer sein.

Die Lage des Hotels war wunderbar. Das Personal immer freundlich und überaus aufmerksam. Der Strand war traumhaft!! Das Essen war super lecker. Die Preise für das Sorroonding waren echt okay! Tripps incl. Abreise wurden hervorragend organisiert Einziger Manko.. das Bett war ein bisschen zu kurz bei einer Körpergröße von 180. Ansonsten Danke für die wunderbare Zeit die wir im Sivalai verbringen durften. Wir können es nur empfehlen 😍

Mooi resort op een pachtig strand alleen savonds is er niets te beleven en zijn er zwerfhonden die het onmogelijk maken om aavonds de bungalow te verlaten.

Super resort

Vi var vilde med resortet. Dejligt hus, lækker beliggenhed, god mad og service, gode faciliteter og muligheder, samt den flotteste strand. Fra molen så vi skildpadder og en søko. Det var vildt.

Very nice resort

A very nice hotel with a excellent location on the island. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and serviceminded. The only bad thing is all the long-tail boats and the noise when they pass the hotel all day.

Die Lage des Resort ist traumhaft. Die Bungalows zweckmäßig. Das Frühstück, wenn es als Buffet angeboten wird, genügt allen Ansprüchen. Wenn allerdings wenig Gäste im Ressort wohnen, z.B. während der Low-Saison, gibt es das Frühstück lediglich stark eingeschränkt a la Carte. Die Nutzung des Strandes wird einem leider durch eine Sandfliegen Plage stark verleitet. Auch ist das Müllproblem in Ban Muk Village stark präsent.

Great hotel, but poor breakfest

Great hotel and lovely island and beach. Only let down was the breakfest, which was quite poor considering the price and possibilities to make it a nice experience.

Super ophold - vil tilbage med det samme!

Vi havde de bedste 6 dage på hotellet. Sødt personale, helt lowkey stemning. Rejste med tre børn på ca. 1, 3 og 15 år og alle var glade. Meget smuk strand!

Slechte staat van onderhoud van al het meubilair en de faciliteiten. Dit resort is ongetwijfeld vroeger mooi geweest maar is nu sleets en smoezelig. De huisjes zijn overigens wel ok als je de keiharde matrassen buiten beschouwing laat.

Romantic days at Koh Mook

The hotel announced just before we arrived that they had to close the bars and kitchen due to COVID amongst the employees working there. They arranged with breakfast at the next door hotel. Ok but not great. The bungalow first row view was amazing and super romantic ❤️. Super nice room but the bed was terribly hard 😢.. difficult to sleep, bring your own pillow. The Sivalai is the best accommodation on the island if you like high standards and when they opened the restaurant we enjoyed dinner and breakfast in the amazing located tip of the beach… beautiful view and just fantastic to dine in the sand under the stars !! Koh Mook is very quiet, nice and friendly and helpful locals, very cheap lunch and dinners at Sugar & coffee restaurant at the beach… Rent a long tail boat and discover the island and nearby islands.

Super miejsce, fajne domki. Choć już stare wyposażenie. Widoki i klimat miejsca rekompensuja. Szkoda, że covid mocno ograniczył działanie wyspy. Bardzo miła obsługa.

Beste Unterkunft auf Koh Mook

Wir hatten den teureren Bungalow direkt am Strand, und das hat sich wirklich gelohnt. Was für ein toller Blick am Morgen direkt aufs Meer - auf der Veranda kann man auf Liegestühlen wunderbar entspannen. Strand sauer, Wasser absolut klar. Das Resort wirkt sehr gepflegt, könnte aber eine kleine Modernisierung vertragen - das Wifi etwa ist auf dem Stand von 2010. Die Mitarbeiter*innen waren freundlich, aber vor allem im Restaurant oft überfordert.

War früher sicher sehr gut.

Wir hatten das Sivalai wegen der tollen Bilder mit der Landzunge gebucht. Diese gibt es so leider nicht mehr. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und bemüht. Das Hotel selbst wurde für uns nicht so optimal renoviert.

Great stay at Sivalai. A bit to quiet for our taste. Good breakfest with omelette. Should have done more with the beachfront area, very old fashioned. No lounge area, no bar, no hammocks, just ordinary sun chairs. Great day trips to Koh Krangan & Ngai. Some of the best snorkling we experienced. A good place to relax.

Skønt sted. De sørgede for tidlig indtjekning, da vi ankom kl. 9. Det er et fantastisk roligt og smukt sted, som kun kan anbefales. Vi var der i 5 dage, som blev nydt i fulde drag, men mere end 5 dage vil nok også være lige rigeligt.

Die Lage der Strandbungalows mit dem weißen Sandstrand und dem direkten Zugang zum Meer ist sensationell. Gestört haben uns nur die vielen Sandmücken. Man sieht sie nicht aber sie stechen doch.

Sehr schöne Zimmer in der ersten Reihe, am besten Nordseite.. Die zweite Reihe ist nicht zu empfehlen, weil man dann nur die Rückseiten der anderen Bungalows sieht.

Dårligt badevand, for mange larmende både. Vandtrykket i bruser vildt dårligt. Restaurant og morgenbuffet kedelig. Det lever ikke op til prisen.

We had 1st row bungalow, which was nice (we even got the family bungalow, but reserved for standard). Awesome view straight to the sea from the bed. However, a lot of noise all day from long-tail boats. Compared to Koh Ngai or Koh Kradan, it was noisy. Wi-fi was unreliable and not working all the time. Best location in Koh Mook.

Absolutely Great Resort, Fantastic Around View on the Ocean, very good breakfast and very friendly staff. Bungalows are very confortable, with aircon and á very confortable bed. The only thing that was a Little disturbing was, that there are many sandflies on the beach ( but that has nothing to Do with the Hotel) We had a Great stay, Thank you

Wunderschöne Lage, traumhafter Strand, gutes Frühstück. Leider ist die Ausstattung sehr in die Jahre gekommen und benötigt dringend eine Renovierung. Sich nur auf die einzigartige Lage zu verlassen wird nicht dauerhaft funktionieren.

Traumurlaub

Sivalai Beach Resort ein kleines Paradies. Der weisse puderzucker ähnliche Sandstrand, ein Bungalow mit Traumaussicht aufs tiefblaue Meer....ein Traumurlaub. Freundliche Mitarbeiter die für alle Fragen ein offenes Ohr haben, und mir für meine Sandfliegenstiche sofort eine Tinktur besorgt haben. Super Thaifood im Restaurant, ein wenig teurer als im Dorf aber das ist für die grossen Portionen völlig gerechtfertigt. Schade, dass die ganze Insel total vermüllt ist, aber dafür kann ja das Sivalai nichts.

Lage ist top. Preis Leistung stimmt nicht. Bungalow sind abgewöhnt, das Bad ist eine Zumutung ohne Klimaanlage. Frühstück im okay aber mehr nicht.

Beste hotellet på Koh Mook

Veldig idyllisk hotell med utmerket plassering på øya. Etter å ha reist en del rundt på øya, er dette hotellet det beste stedet å bo på Koh Mook. Fantastisk service, fine hytter og god frokost.

Erfrischungstücher in Plastiktüten!!! zum Welcome-Drink. Die Badezimmer sind nicht klimatisiert und heizen sich im Laufe des Tages massiv auf. Die Golf-Carts waren mit „Check-in & Check-out only“ beschriftet. Bei der größe der Anlage ware es sehr nett gewesen auch mal einen Transport zu haben. Familienzimmer 5 min Fußweg vom Restaurant/Frühstück entfernt. Schlüsselkarten, die für die Zimmerelektrik benötigt werden, werden, wenn man gerade nicht im Zimmer ist vom Personal konfisziert und man darf diese als Bittsteller an der Rezeption abholen. Dreckiger Pool, der trotz Reinigung auf Anfrage, weiterhin dreckig blieb. Obwohl das Frühstück großzügig und abwechslungsreich war, war der Service beim Frühstück stark verbesserungsbedürftig. Der Strand und die Lage des Hotels waren großartig. Leider waren die Sonnenschirme aus minderer Qualität und z.T. durchgerostet. Fazit: Alles in allem fehlte es an der typischen Thailändischen Aufmerksamkeit und Herzlichkeit. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war unterirdisch schlecht.

スタッフがとてもフレンドリー。 沢山のコテージがあるにも関わらず夜勤のレセプションのスタッフは日本人と分かるとコテージ番号を把握していて対応してくれた。 コテージはビーチフロントから順にずらして建てている為ビーチが見えないという事はありません。 敷地を出て徒歩数分に港や村人が営んでいるレストランやマッサージ屋さんがあり便利。 村人も他の島と比べて穏やかで優しい。

Utrolig fint hotell med god service. Fantastisk beliggenhet på halvøy. Stranden er ikke på høyde med de beste i Thailand, men absolutt godkjent. Meget god mix av lokalmiljø og turisme på øya.

Paradis

I Virkelig smukke omgivelser ligger fine men efterhånden lidt slidte bungalows. Vi havde en familie deluxe villa i første række og vil klart anbefale at man gir de ekstra penge for at bo i første række netop her. Restauranten er som flere skriver noget kedelig og det er virkelig ærgerligt at den ikke lever op til det potientiale den kunne have på dette fantastiske sted. Men man kan spise nede i byen på flere små hyggelige lokale steder. Jeg vil ikke anbefale at man bor her mere end 5 max 6 døgn, vi var her 7 og fik lidt økuller. Der er 2 pools, men det virker ikke til at de blir renset hel som de burde og desuden var temperaturen vel omk de 40 grader, hvilket formentlig også var med til at ikke mange anvender disse. Kan anbefale at booke transfer igennem Sivalai, det er en smule dyrere end igennem andre, men det fungerede simpelthen bare og var alle pengene værd.

Skønt hotel

Vi havde 3 dage på hotellet. Boede 4 personer i en bungalow lige ud til havet. Der var dog en del motor støj fra “taxier”. Der var kun 2 solsenge og alt var booket ud så vi kunne ikke få flere. Ellers absolut lækkert hotel og meget hjælpsom personale. Kan klart anbefales.

Topp plass

Fantastisk sted og område. Hyggeligt personale. Flotte rom! Valgte å spise i landsbyen stort sett, billigere og bedre. Frokosten på hotellet var meget god. Planer om å komme tilbake.

Nice place

Nice Hotel. Every room has sea view. Beach is white sand, but evening time water is low and swimming is not possible. Nice place If you want just relax

Fin resort på Koh Mook

Fin resort med fint läge och fin strand. Dock lågvatten på eftermiddagen, badade ogärna då. Hårda sängar, lite trassel med wi-fi och AC:n.
