Great communication and friendly staff. Within walking distance of The Emirates Stadium.
Great little spot in this area to base yourself
Funky Smell
Our room had a very kimchi something died smell that was super bad. When we talked about it with front desk, instead of switching our room, they told us they would put the air filter machine in for a couple hours. We left and came back to (for me) an even worse chemical smell. I had to play music that night and come back late, so we just dealt with it. Rest of property is great and good location
Another great Locke experience!
Lovely little boutique hotel. Staff were helpful and everything was clean. Couple of negative things. 1. The walls in the rooms look like they are in the middle of a renovation. Cracks and dry wall patches galore. Apparently, according to the front desk it’s Croatian Chic. But, it just looks like they were too lazy to finish or ran out of money. 2. The design of the shower stall is extremely poor with water pouring under the shower door into the rest of the bathroom.
Ok for a night
Nice reception staff, friendly and willing. Comfortable room… No breakfast…
Cool and comfortable
Really functional comfortable and cool/trendy hotel. Nice to stay somewhere that doesn’t feel like you are feeding a big corporation
The property is good overall. The area however might be unsafe at night.
Unbelievably helpful and friendly staff, I travel with a little mobility scooter and the staff went out of their way to make it as easy as possible. The onsite bar does a great morning coffee, bus stop right outside.
The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to enhance our stay
The interior design is super cute and it’s a lovely place to stay! Very close to overground station as well. Highly recommend
We were very disappointed with this hotel. It’s only a few years old, however has been built very cheaply. When the above room was having a shower, it sounded like our room was flooding with the noise, the room was tiny, the shower poured water all over the floor as it wasn’t sealed or levelled properly, the bathroom lacked any storage space and was a poor use of space, there wasn’t anywhere to sit in the foyer without using the restaurant, the beds were uncomfortable and the area around wasn’t very nice. The staff barely acknowledged you when you walked in the foyer, especially a guy at night. Only positive was the double-glazed windows.
Good space in a hip neighborhood with lots of nearby restaurants
Friendly staff, clean rooms, convenient location with lots of dining options. The surrounding area is vibrant but felt relatively safe as long as you take the normal common sense precautions.
Great stay with exceptional staff
I had a lovely stay for 3 days! Highly recommend it if you're looking for a hotel in Dalston.
Stayed here for a graduation, had great options for transportation, food, local culture, churches close by, and great location
A very nice property with a fridge and kitchenette. Loved the rooftop bar, and the downstairs bar/restaurant. The staff were friendly and offered advice on how to get around and where to eat. There wasn’t very much closet space, most of the space was taken for kitchen space, but we made due.
Very convenient, friendly staff
We had a very enjoyable six day stay at Kingsland Locke. Great service from reception staff, super helpful. Gym and laundry facilities were very handy. However the bed in the city studio was very very low. Not much room to manoeuvre when you have two very large suitcases. Not much wardrobe hanging space either. Unfortunately the rooftop bar was not open at any time when we were around and about. We enjoyed the co-working space in the ground floor. Great added bonus. Would come back again.
staffs are friendly, clean, and new.
We loved our stay at Kingsland Locke and would definitely stay there again, or at another one of the Locke properties. The apartment was clean and comfortable - definitely compact, but it didn’t feel cramped and it was exactly what we needed. It was fitted out with everything you need if you want to cook, and the concierge was always available in case you needed something. The staff were generally all super friendly and helpful too. Kraft (the restaurant on site) was delicious as well, either for coffee and breakfast or for drinks and a meal later on. Overall, a very cool, easy-going vibe in the whole property. We didn’t get to use them, but a gym and laundry were also available on site. The area has loads of restaurants, bars, and shopping options and the hotel was about a 2-5 minute walk from two different Overground stations, so you can get everywhere easily without being in the craziness of being in more touristy areas. Loved it!
It's. So cool, but very lively area. Not for small children but young adults would caretaking enjoy the area.
Made booking in Australian Dollars but card was charged the same numbers but in pounds sterling, this charging DOUBLE the amount quoted on Expedia. Complained about this on check in. Then, the room offered was appalling, with a tiny and uncomfortable 'double' bed squashed against a window with no bed access for the second person. Appalled at the exorbitant cost, double the booking details, and the dreadful room offered for the very high price. Next night moved to a deluxe room at a Crowne Plaza at half the cost. Not happy.
Great stay overall
Amazing place, beautifully decorated and maintained amd friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.
Ticked all the boxes for our overnight stay. Great transport links to anywhere in London.
Simple, nicely designed hotel
Very friendly and helpful staff and simple, clean rooms. Considering every hotel in London was astronomically priced the week we stayed the Locke was very good value for money.
We had an excellent short stay here, lovely clean studio with everything you need, plenty of shops/food places nearby & tube/buses right outside made getting around easy
Would definitely stay here again.
Great stay!
Really friendly helpful staff, lovely modern building, rooms very well equipped. Small private gym also well equipped and easy to book. Would highly recommend
Loved hotel
The hotel is lovely! We really enjoyed our stay here. Full marks for the reception team, especially Nyna, very helpful, professional but friendly. Thank you.
Beautiful rooms, clean and modern design. Reception staff very helpful.
I always love the great staff that don’t get paid enough to give the amount of friendliness and kindness they do. I’ve never felt unwelcome staying at kingsland Locke , I will continue to stay here for my return visits thank you very much .
Stay at Kingsland Locke
Friendly and welcoming staff and a great hotel overall
Love the design of this place. Everyone at the front desk was incredibly helpful and so nice.
Kingsland Locke, has a nice little gym that you can reserve while you wash your clothes or maybe go literally up stairs to get a pint or a bite while you wash if you choose.
The only really bad thing is the beds are less than half the height of normal beds which makes it really difficult to get out of - I really struggled. The rooms are very nice modern facilities including a little kitchen, decor was "interesting" with plastering stains on the walls not covered giving it an industrial feel. The rooms are quite small but this is London so you are only really going to use it as a crash pad - which made me wonder why the kitchenette gets so much prominence. Only one elevator working and half the times I used it there was a cleaning cart left in it. Because of the bed I won't be staying again.
The property and facilities were lovely. Everything was close by including transport, groceries and other amenities. However I probably would not stay in this suburb again with my young family as the area was not very safe and I felt uncomfortable walking around. It smelled like weed everywhere in that suburb.
10/10
The rooms provided everything you could possibly need - including a yoga mat! Good amount of space, helpful staff. Conveniently located. Building felt safe. Would definitely stay here again.
Lovely and friendly staff! Beautiful rooms - they’ve thought of everything.
We liked our stay at the hotel. The morning and afternoon staff were friendly. I do wish however that it would have been possible to get clean towels in the early evening. There was residual noise from the other patrons on the floor, which was somewhat annoying at night time. The room was clean which was good. I do wish there would have been a way to contact the front desk as there was no phone for that in the room. There are a lot of restaurants near by which is nice.
Great Apartment/ Hotel
Was not aware this was not a hotel with daily housekeeping device when I booked the reservation. Employees where great/ very clean.. twin bed were really small.. my sister fell out the bed rolling over in here sleep.
Had a good stay here for one night.
Amazing stay pictures doesn’t do it justice would stay there again and again and again
I really liked the staff . Everyone was a great help as soon as I arrived . I truly felt special while staying at this fine establishment.
The staff were all genuine, nice, and helpful. They always treated us as more than guests.
Lovely and clean, happy friendly staff.
Delightful Stay
Kingsland Locke was such a delightful stay. Everyone at the front desk was SO helpful and friendly and my room was charming, comfy, and clean. Loved it! (and I was so near great cheap food and underground/overground stops - so easy to get around). Loved it!
Staff was great , ez commute , you are far from downtown London. Avg travel will take about 40 min to Downtown. Nearby grocery store , like Aldi . A lot of Turkish restaurants.
Absolutely beautiful hotel with fantastic amenities! Our room was so lovely with a super comfy bed & nice sized bathroom. Loved being able to use the gym & laundry facilities while we stayed here. The restaurant inside the hotel was also amazing with their own micro brewery located inside the lower floor of the hotel. The staff was super helpful & accommodating. It was really easy to catch a bus or take the tube into central London from this area too. We really enjoyed our stay here & would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a cool spot to stay while in London! :)
I ended up having to extend my stay due to work, assuming that I had to switch rooms. I went to the front desk and they were fully clued up on my stayover details and just issued me a new key card in minutes without any drama. Hilton, Hyatt has nothing on this. I'm really glad I chose this place, it's awesome! x
I'm so pleased I stumbled on this gem. Cliche as it sounds, Locke is *truly* a home away from home. I was blown away by the cleanliness, amenities and service. I had to store luggage early in the morning to head to work and they accepted it without question. I had to get a parcel delivered, it arrived and I collected it without a hitch. The gym / washing machines / communal spaces are brilliant. Wifi speeds are a dream. The only thing I'd say is the bathrooms, though gorgeously designed, should be much larger - the shower especially. The room having a full set of cutlery, utensils and plates, fridge/freezer and microwave oven saved me a world of hassle. You can bus your way quite easily to central ldn. Only feedback is staff should maybe remind guests that there's a back stairway to the gym / laundry room to avoid them taking the main lifts where the public bar / restaurant faces. 10 / 10 recommend - the staff are lovely too. If you see a good deal, grab it.
Good hotel overall
Good overall. - Was extermely quiet which was surprising knowing its vibrant location. - Very nice staff members. - Still, room's wall desperatly needed a new layer of paint.
Gem of a place in Zone 2
Great apartment-style hotel with all the amenities you could want. Being able to cook was a huge bonus. Conveniently located close to 2 Overground stations and going into Central London is a quick 15 to 20-minute trip. 24/7 free self-serve laundry is a great feature.
Fabulous stay in East London
This is a lovely, well-maintained and modern place with a great cafe and friendly staff. The facilities in the room are excellent - big kitchen surface, dishwater, fridge. Well located, 2 mins from Dalston Kingsland station.
Much nicer than a premier in for only a small amount more cost.
Cute spot just a bus ride from Spurs Stadium
Great spot if you're looking to explore North London. Close to Spurs Stadium. Right on High Street. Even went for a run up the road and found a charming, peaceful cemetery. The bar downstairs is top notch. Would stay again.
Loved my stay at this hotel! Nice to have the area downstairs and loved the room and pleasant staff.
Well outfitted cozy studio apartment hotel. Good location and interesting neighbourhood with many transport options. Excellent staff too!!
The staff were amazing, absolutely incredible.
Really well set up Aparthotel. Cool, and really well kept.
The dryers in the laundry did not all work. The floor in the shower of room 317 had not been constructed well so that water pooled away from the drain and threatened to flow onto the bathroom floor if the shower door was opened before water was swept to the drain,
Spacious and well equipped rooms, really clean and modern, great public areas and lovely vibe in the bar area with good, local beers on tap. Right on High Street with lots of bars, restaurants on doorstep and Dalston Kingland overground just across the road. Will stay again if in area.
Nice but noise made sleep impossible
Room was good (except all the echoey flat surfaces and high concrete ceiling), nice bedding, comfy. Cleanliness was good. But the noise. Oh my god. If you stay here DO NOT stay on lower ground floor. Every noise on the whole floor funnels into you room. The corridors and room shapes are almost designed to make this happen. Slept terribly!
Chill atmosphere. Easy to get to. Clean. Would stay again.
Solid stay but micro bathroom very small
Nice modern apart hotel. Small rooms in general with micro bathroom. 4pm check in not ideal. Nice modern decor. Good coffee. Amenities in the room all you need. Coffee, fridge, ironing board and possible for some small cooking.
Friendly staff nice restaurant attached to the facility
Perfect location to visit the lively Dalston area. Super nice people, hotel is designed for sustainability. Great cafe/barista, unique menu with V and GF options. My second stay and will stay again
Had a great stay at Kingsland Locke, I'll be back if I'm ever in the area again. Great bar and co-work space, nice, modern spacious room, and really close to the train station. Staff were friendly, helpful and gave a very warm welcome.
Such a great stay for our first time in England. This Locke location worked for our stay. Close to bus and train stations to get in and out of the city. Cafe and restaurant on premises plus laundry, gym, and rooftop bar made it perfect for our stay. The staff was excellent and helpful in navigating us around the city to explore food and shopping. Can’t wait to stay at another Locke Property soon.
Visiting London with my daughter
This hotel was amazing! From the time we walked in until the time we left. It was clean, modern, upbeat, and perfect! The staff was nice, kind and accommodating. I asked if they had other hotels as when I return to London I will look them up.
Loved my stay at this location. Would of like more travels throughout my stay but overall the area and the hotel itself was top notch.
Hotel isn't in the greatest condition - bed is low to the ground and the bathroom a bit rundown. The kitchen facilities are decent but problems with the bin cabinet not opening and closing properly
Will return.
The property was well equiped with smart space saving ideas. The rooftop bar was great given the weather and views over London. There were a couple of downsides which is unfortunate as I would like to give a 5. We were in the Loft studio which is level with the heating/air conditioning. Turned down there was a cold blast in bed. Turn it up and while the room seemed ok it was warm and stuffy in the loft area. The shower leaked as the tiled floor did not seem the right shape for the water to drain away. We did flag this. New towels were provided, but 'maintenance' clearly did nothing. Sort this out and we could have looked at a 5.
Overall good
The place is a good concept but has some design faults the windows in the room to not open and there is a noisy air circulating system that makes you feel your in an aircraft hanger The rooftop bar only seems to be open half the week which is crazy in the summer the air can is a bit dodgy and the restaurant etc can not be charged to your room The location is a bit dodgy
Love everything about Kingsland Locke
Excellent
This place was wonderful, check in was a breeze and they offer a late check out option. Will definitely stay here again and recommend they place to my family and friends.
Great property, with friendly and helpful staff, would stay here again.
What a great find! We booked a City Studio for a trip to a gig at Tottenham Stadium. Great location, easy to get to. Loads of bus route options. Plenty of great choices for dining nearby, including the "Super Bakery" across the road-perfect for a breakfast coffee and pastry. And a handy convenience store opposite. The room was perfect, clean and comfortable. The sataff the front desk were efficient, polite and helpful (especially Toby). Just a very good experience overall. We would definitely stay here again.
Great stay
Lovely place to stay in with everything we needed in the room. Beautifully decorated. Was quiet at night. Nice air con and little touches for our dog who came with us. Nice roof top bar with great views. Easy access to public transport and everything you might need in shops on the doorstep. We parked at the kingsland shopping centre, 8 mins down the road, £40 a week. Enjoyed the visit to the Curved Garden, 5 mins down the road for a little oasis of green, lovely community/social enterprise
Very nice boutique hotel. The rooms are small for two people, but, very efficient in design. The staff was wonderful, and, the roof top bar was a plus!
Excellent staff. On-site laundry and gym.
We enjoyed our stay at Kingsland Locke and are grateful to the staff. We were in town to attend Wireless Festival and weren't too sure about the best way to get around. One of the ladies at the front desk recommended a route to us and a super helpful app that made getting around easy. The only thing I didn't realize is that this is an aparthotel which I guess means you don't get typical hotel amenities such as room service. Regardless it didn't make our stay any less enjoyable. Thank you for having us!
Great location! Love the mini kitchen, microwave, and dishwasher! Bathroom shower is a bit small.
Clean and well appointed rooms. Convenient location with lots of great bus access. And grateful they had AC because I arrived for the hottest weekend of the summer so far!
5 minute walk to train (tube). Bus stops in front of hotel. They stored my luggage in between reservations. Hotel staff, especially Danz, were very helpful with questions.
Great place to stay in the heart of Dalston. It has everything you need and is very clean. Would definitely stay there again!
Loved this area! Cute hotel
Room was cramped with nowhere to put suitcases at all and little wardrobe space. We had no Hot water for 2 out of the six days. place is over rated.
It’s a health hazard. My wife complained that the bathroom smelled like BO but I didn’t feel it as we were going to spend most of the day outside. By day 3 I started feeling it and couldn’t even breathe in the bathroom. It smelled like mold. Also, cherry on top, my wife got a fungal infection on her neck. Had to leave in the middle of night as we couldn’t sleep and our anxiety was through the roof.
Excellent location. Friendly staff.
If you like sleeping on super low rise similar to sleeping bag type of mattress on the floor then DO stay here..otherwise do not book. Their website photos looks normal but they didn’t state anything about how low their mattresses are! They provide you with mattress toppers but in no way they can raise up this super low bed itself. Had the worst sleep and I told them I had mobility issues and they simply say we don’t stock extra mattresses on site to accommodate. Massive and expensive regret on my part, ouch..Expedia should indicate this LOW RISE BED warning on this hotel listing on their booking website as well. Horribly painful uncomfortable sleep. Some of the new housekeeper staff here are also rude, speaks no word of English as well. Miserable faces and unpleasant attitudes.
Horrible stay and horrible room. Will never return. The noise was super loud and TV was not working also
A nice chic hôtel in Dalston
The ambience of the hotel caught my eyeful so I spend the last night in London in Kingsland Locke. It is beyond my expectation. Firstly, the location is great! The neighbourhood is so cool and there is a lot of pop ups in the weekends. But the hotel room itself it chic, it is clean and well équipement with nice kitchenette, the bed is comfy, you probably don’t need to worry about anything to staying there, they have everything you need. Also, The restaurant on the ground floor is great and Allpress cafe nearby is also hugely recommended.
This is my third time staying at the Kingsland Locke and I look forward to the next time.
We were staying very close to our family :-)
Great value
Nice and clean hotel, friendly staff, in a great area. Thank you!

all great except the bed
