Well deserved break
Very relaxing. Accommodation and food excellent.
Excellent stay
Had a faultless stay at the Killyhevlin. Stayed a couple of years ago and asked for the same room as it had a lovely window seat overlooking the lake. They checked our previous stay and gave us the same room. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Food great. Had a lovely spa treatment too.
Exceptional
Stayed 2 nights, everthything was excellent, we will be back soon for another couple of nights
SHOULD BE 5 STARS
Should be a five star Hotel, everything 5 star incl breakfast and brunches. Did not try the evening meals. massive amount of parking, has 3 EV points. not one used during our 3 day stay, Smart not investing in a system that may not last
We loved our stay here, scenery and gardens were gorgeous everything about it was so relaxing food was outstanding, will definitely be back soon
Check in was poor service from staff member seems extremely unhappy and no information given to the spa, or leisure facilities. Room was dusty on lamps and pictures. Coffee machine in room wasn’t working. The room was too warm for comfort and had a lovely view of the road. The food in the restaurant was tasty but over priced and the service wasn’t great from staff. The breakfast was decent and the staff were friendly at breakfast.
A lovely relaxing break with the wonderful views of the Lough.
Everything excellent nothing to dislike.
Waterfront location
Great place to stay on the way to Befast
LOCATION,LOCATION.LOCATION.
FIRST CLASS HOTEL. EVEN QUILTED TOILET ROLL.LOCATION AND SETTING GREAT.
Couples break away
Lovely welcome and we got an upgrade of room due to us getting married at this hotel and returning for our anniversary. But I have to say, I am a little disappointed with the service as we had to wait 10/15 mins for our dinner table even though it was booked. We had to wait at least 30/40 mins for food to then come. I know we stayed on a Monday night but there was no atmosphere like someone playing piano. Food was nice. Breakfast was okay - no soda bread and only one fried egg when I was up. Service with coffee could be quicker. No cups in the sauna / pool area to get a drink of water while using facilities. It’s the little things that help.
Lovely weekend
The room was lovely and spacious with a great view of Lough Erne and the boats using it. We went for a meal once but found it a bit loud and distracting especially as we were put right at the bar maybe sitting somewhere else would have helped. The food was lovely so no complaints there. We got our breakfast in our room 2 mornings which was the best thing we did as it was so relaxing especially with the view we had. We went to the spa for a relaxing facial and shoulder massage which was well worth it and the girls in the spa were lovely, my wife and I really enjoyed this and it was the highlight of our weekend. We would go back but maybe book the restaurant in advance and request a seat near the window to see if that would be better.
Very nice
Mini Moon Break
We stayed at the hotel after our wedding as a gift from family . The hotel is amazing and the staff are exceptional.
Overnight stay
First time at the Killyhevlin and despite the bad weather we had a lovely visit..we stayed in a room overlooking the carpark which had a lot of traffic noise from the busy road..the room was spacious and comfortable but extremely warm.overall we would return but book a lake view room
Fantastic setting, quite lovely. Restaurant menu a bit boring and stodgy, but food cooked well
I'll be back.
Great room, picturesque location.
The view
What a lovely clean hotel. Check in was easy. Booked restaurant where we met a wonderful lady who showed us to our table where we had a lovely meal. Many thanks to everyone who made our stay so relaxing.
Handy for visiting other tourist attractions
First class in every way
Can recommend this hotel very high standards
Very nice staff and clean room. Nice food and comfortable room.
The property was clean and the staff were brilliant set in a beauitful location the walks round the lakes were beauitful would definitely go back again and the food was excellent
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Spacious, clean room. Unfortunately I had a view of the car park but it was quiet.
Sort out climate comtrol
We were celebrating our 33rd Wedding anniversary and had 3 nights at Kilkyhevlin. The weather was fabulous & we got to see the Aurora Borealis - but the climate control in the rooms is non existant. We did have a fan in our room, but this did not really cool the place down. Apart from this discomfort we did enjoy our trip & the food was gorgeous.
Loved it !
Enjoyable stay. Looking forward to my next visit.
Just great
Stunning location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Short distance from the Loughs, the Cuilcagh Boardwalk Trail The Marble Arch Caves and Florence Court. Beautiful countryside.
Excellent facility.
Hotel itself was great, lovely area to walk around and the facilities are fab. Reception staff were lovely and Dylan at the bar was nice too. I read a few of the past reviews about the poor staff service and thought these people may have just been nit-picking. They were not. The staff service in the restaurant was shocking. People waiting to be served and the staff were just stood around laughing and talking to each other. My partner got the roast dinner and we shared that because my "Thai curry" was more like a buttery chicken soup, nothing "Thai" about it. Told the staff I wasn't super comfortable paying for it, they then proceeded to tell each other and giggle to themselves whilst looking over at our table and it was a weird experience, even the staff complained that no one does anything right. The manager (I'm assuming) was lovely and took the "curry" off the bill. Had a late check out and then used the jacuzzi until about 1pm.
The only downside was the bed terrible mattress.very sore in the morning.
Relaxing visit
Comfortable hotel with ample seating in lobby area. Excellent pool area. Lunchtime carvery is good value. Staff are efficient and friendly. Breakfast cooked items are excellent quality. We have stayed previously and will certainly return.
Loved our stay! Dinner, breakfast and views were lovely. Sadly the water was not warm enough for a comfortable bath. Lovely Christmas decorations.
Stayed in a beautiful room overlooking the lake. Gorgeous view.
Nicest staff you could ask for. Gym was better than expected and the food was lovely. Local taxis being cash only was annoying so take change with you!
Funny approach to residents...
Very nice hotel but the whole focus is on people from the local town and not on guests. Could not get a reservation for dinner on either Saturday or Sunday night because the restaurant was booked out with locals.
Had a lovely relaxed stay everyone very friendly conditions were clean and comfortable would re visit
Nice enough hotel but very expensive for basic room looking out at carpark. Had a nice enough dinner in the restaurant and breakfast was a decent buffet..nothing remarkable. Did not have time to use leisure facilities but swimming pool looked good.
Overpriced
Not value for money Evening meal portion very small yet very expensive
Room cleanliness superb. The bathroom was in pristine condition. Excellent breakfast. Great meal in restaurant. Great walks along Lough Erne.
Gorgeous property and views, staff and service excellent and food is great
The hotel was lovely. Was disappointed with my meal. Ordered chicken ballotine. Got one small fondent potato and half a carrot. Not good at all 🙁
A special hotel break!
Impressed with standard of cleanliness and everything was lovely. Real treat.
Had a great time and was able to chill out by the loch and using the spa, lovely area.Only problem I had with my stay was that the first floor and the bedroom was hot and just couldn't cool the room down what so ever which made it hard to sleep. But hey ho NI isn't always this warm.
Last weekend stay at the Killyhevlin
Great hotel. Lovely room. Excellent food in the restaurant. Very friendly staff, excellent service. Only two downsides were the cleaniness of the public toilets, not clean at all. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. It would put me off staying again, however, apart from the bed, the stay was fantastic. Lovely area, people, food and facilities.
Riverside location
Awesome hotel with great facilities and first class service. The food was very good.
Was just ok .. room basic enough.. walls like paper. Couldn’t sleep as could hear everything from the room next door.. snoring all night long !!
2 night stay
I had recommended here because of the view but when we arrived we were given a room with a view of a corrugated roof on the far side of the hotel not lakeside! I was told it was £50 to have a room with a partial view discounted to £40, i think most people go here for the amazing view so i suggest if thats what your looking request b4 you go, breakfast service was a bit slow took a while to get tea but apart from that everything else was great! Everyone on dinner service was fantastic! Order taken right away, everything came really quickly and food was great! Everyone stopped for a chat and to make sure we were ok and enjoying our meal and the young fella working in bar in afternoon and evening was fab! Really enjoyed our time at spa! Massages were great!
Our stay at the Killyhevlin
The hotel reception area, the restaurant and the room were clean. The public bathrooms were also very clean. Toiletries replaced and towels changed.
Stunning views
Stayed for 2 nights 8th and 9th September. Dissapointmented that our room was overlooking the carpark, but couldnt be helped. We were able to take advantage of the stunning lakeside view as there are tables outside, and also sieating areas inside. Staff were polite and friendly, Margaret even invited us to take food and water from breakfast buffet as she learned that we were heading out on a long hike to the boardwalk that morning. Our only complaint about rather lumpy pillows was dealt with immediately ,as these were replaced the next day. The outdoor hottub was gruby and needs to be cleaned. Will definitely go back, but next time will remember to ask for a lakeside room..
Food was really tasty and prompt service
1st class
Relaxed and friendly atmosphere
Fantastic location, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Special shout out to Katie from the Killy. Would strongly recommend this hotel. Could not fault in any manner. We will definitely return.
Killyhevlin review
Great location, stunning views of Lough Erne. Food was fantastic, what not to like!
The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. The light in the hall came through the door . Also we were woke up at 7am by the music and loud voice of the fittest instructor
Good venue, not perfect but good!
A mixed bag, the Spa and massage was great, the pool, sauna, steam room, indoor and outdoor jacuzzi excellent and we really enjoyed the gym also. Great setting on the banks of the river Erne, really lovely view as The overall experience was tarnished by the fact that the room was freezing cold when we arrived and we had to get an electric heater delivered to the room, the mattress was at the end of its life and wasn’t comfortable at all. The English lady in the health club was downright rude when we simply asked her a few questions, she was sharp and abrupt and not what you expect from a four star hospitality venue. The breakfast was great, really enjoyed it and great staff. Evening meal was superb and so were the staff. I would return to the Killyhevlin to use the Spa and facilities and also I would dine in the restaurant but they need to update the rooms and have a word with the lady in the health club because that will lose them money in the long term.
Our whole stay at the Killyhevlin was excellent. The room was spacious and comfortable. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and very helpful.
A beautiful lakeside property with a short walk to the lake. The food is lovely and the rooms are clean and spacious. Down side is that you will need to book the use of the pool long in advance and this isn’t mentioned at time of booking which means you can’t use the health spa etc. Also the Bar staff are helpful and polite but if you aren’t seated in the bar but in the overflow (because you can’t drink in the grill where people are eating.)
could do better
The hotel was very comfortable but was promised a lake veiw for ruby wedding anniversary but given A veiw over a roof Had long que and wait to book in Hotel Missed bringing coffee at breakfast Long wait for meals Food was good Swimming pool and excellent
Very relaxing stay at the Killyhevlin. The staff had good safety measures in place in relation to Covid-19. We ate in the grill bar on one evening and felt it was average for the price. If I had one criticism it would be the pillows! Could do with an upgrade in my opinion. I’ve stayed in budget hotels that had better pillows! Just think they’ve seen better days. Overall a comfortable stay.
Enjoyed a room over the Lough, beautiful. Enjoyed the carvery and had a really good stay. Lovely hotel and location.
We will be back!
Stayed for three nights. Fabulous location, even in winter! Sit in the big comfortable couches and watch the swans, boats and rowing boats go bye. Breakfasts are the best I have had in any hotel, freshly cooked, variety was great! We ate in the bar in the evenings, always busy, but service was great and food superb with a good menu to choose from. Rooms were warm and comfortable, my only gripe was mattress and pillows were to hard for our liking otherwise faultless.Ppl
The food and pool were amazing. A few mishaps with reception My husband loved it more than me.
Obviously can’t fault the location it’s absolutely spectacular and the evening meal which was booked in the kove and they didn’t tell us there was a function in there so put us in the main lakeside room but got to say some of the best food we’d ever had so makes up for the disappointing room it was nice not worth the money just ok nothing special though which was a shame , overall lovely would try the lodges they look fantastic!
EXCELLENT WEEKEND AWAY FOR 2 COUPLES
Excellent hotel spotless and couldnt do enough for you, Rooms good size and well up to expected standard.
Loved the food and facilities staff were very friendly. Found the room a little cold and draughty a lit if street noise.
Fantastic Hotel
Upon arrival at the hotel we were upgraded from a classic double room to a lodge. Pascal was extremely helpful and he and his staff couldn’t have done more. Excellent service and extremely customer friendly staff. The food was also superb and we really enjoyed our stay. We would highly recommend this hotel.
Beautifully located hotel sitting on the edge of Lough Erne. A mile’s walk into Enniskillen. Staff helpful & courteous. Hotel clean & tastefully decorated. One of the best breakfasts we’ve had in a hotel, omelettes made to order, fresh kippers all sooo good. Used gym & pool/spa areas each day of stay (3 days) door security in gym/pool area a bit of a palaver, staff have to buzz you through each door (to changing area/gym) so a bit of a hold up at busy times but didn’t overly affect our stay. Dinner in the grill lounge tasty & served quickly. Would recommend a stay here without hesitation.
Average
It’s a dated property it feels old the bar area is a cafeteria so no real place to relax entertainment is zero when asked on Friday night they just said he’s sick meaning that they only have on entertainer room was dated and old
It is a really beautiful grand hotel and really lovely staff. Defiantly going back me and my partner Philip. We loved it so much
Beautiful setting some bedrooms have poor outlook we were overlooking a roof top
Met all our expectations for a4star rated hotel
