The inn is on the 13th floor of an apartment building. Although the building is on a busy street, the access is on an unpaved side street. I used uber many times and the drivers never had a problem locating it. Based on reviews, we used hotel's taxi from the airport but really, it is unnecessary. You have to bear in mind this is Egypt and also the price point before judging the access issues. The hospitality is superb and applies uniformly to all staff. You can walk to many restaurants but, just ask them to buy for you and eat on the terrace enjoying the view. Breakfast is quite a spread and is average. There is a supermarket in the street level in the building. Pharmacy, other shops, fruits and bakery are all within 3 minutes walking distance. We took the Uber to the pyramids and to the GEM. They are 10minutes by car. Getting back to the airport was a problem with the uber. Be prepared for them to ask you to pay extra. We stayed in a room with 4 twin beds and it was a lot tight with our luggage. The beds were comfortable. There was coffee and tea in the room. A refrigerator was helpful to store milk and fruits. The bathroom is ok. The glass door to it had no functioning lock which led us to establish some ground rules. The room and property are clean. Overall we highly recommend this for anyone planning to stay in Giza.
The management and staff treated us like family and catered to our every need
The hotel is located on the 13th floor of an apartment. Staff greeted us downstairs upon arrival. The staff were very friendly. We had a welcome drink upon arrival and free bottles of water in the room. The room decor was lovely and nice comfy beds. The view from the terrace was fantastic. Breakfast in the morning was lovely and there was plenty. Would definitely recommend this hotel
Cleanliness Very nice rooftop view
I took my 11 year old daughter here on a once in a lifetime trip and I was not disappointed. Thank you Khan DuiDar family for hosting Natalie and I.
Super friendly staff.
Great stay! Location is great for visiting the Pyramids and areas of Cairo a short taxi ride away. Rooms super clean and comfortable. The highlight of the stay was the staff. They were so so friendly and helpful- the manager even helped us not get scammed with an airport taxi ride and waited for our uber to arrive so we could pay the Egyptian price not wildly expensive tourist price! Thank you so much for a fab stay! Recommend to anyone visiting the area.
I absolutely loved my stay here. The staff is fantastic and always willing to go out of their way to accommodate their guest. The view is amazing and it included free breakfast. It one of my best experiences in a hotel and I travel a lot!
Great hotel, great staff, great Pyramid view! Only complaint will be that the toilet jet spray is not good.
I was shocked to se show great this hotel was. For the price, you can’t expect much more. Staff was very accommodating and the hotel room very clean. Complimentary breakfast was a plus.
Awesome place.
It was amazing. Everyone was supper friendly, helpfull, caring.. I felt home. Islam, Wed and Ahmed, thank you guys soooo much😘 you made me feel so welcome and safe😍 It was my first time here but not the last, I will always stay here in Khan Dewedar. Thanks to every one🌹💖
Wonderful stay. The view is really amazing. The terrace is very big. The staff was extremely nice and helpful!
We had a wonderful stay at the Khan Duidar, the service was exceptional. Islam at the front desk helped arrange a driver and tour guide for us to visit the Great Pyramids, Dahshur, Saqqara and Memphis. He made our stay so special! The food was great, the view of the pyramids from our room and the rooftop deck was spectacular! Our tour guide Abdul was exceptional. There is a grocery store next to the building which was convenient.
Not a nice area around this hotel, but the hotel itself is nice and staff is excellent.
I stayed here with my son and 80 year old mother. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but it has the most spectacular view of the Giza pyramids. I’d also add the staff here are first class - absolutely wonderful in everything from arranging pick up from the airport to helping us arrange trips and food recommendations. I can see why this place gets such high reviews from its customers. Thank you - we will visit again !
What a view!
This hotel was such a pleasant surprise. When I stepped on the terrace and saw the view of the pyramid, I was literally in awe. We ate breakfast there each morning. Their service is fantastic. Neatness and cleanliness of the room was perfect. I loved this hotel and would absolutely come back again.
The people here were so kind and helpful. I ended up getting extremely sick on the trip-the receptionist called his friend who was a doctor and strongly recommended to go to the hospital. He accompanied us so that there was someone to speak English and helped with the billing, prescriptions, travel, etc. he went above and beyond. Yes, the stay was beautiful and our rooms were clean—but more so was the beauty of human compassion that can sometimes be a lost art in America. Very appreciated.
Best pyramids hotel!
The staff were amazing. Very friendly, kind and helpful particularly Sayed who made the whole stay so amazing for me with beautiful memories. I got a long extension even after the regular checkout time as they tried to accommodate me in every possible way. The view was stunning, the room was so comfortable facing the pyramids and rhe breakfast very tasty with much variety. I totally recommend thia hotel aa tou would have a great time. Thank you so much again for your hospitality and I will be back if I'm in town again :)
Staff was very nice the Hotal managed and the reception staff spacial Eslam very friendly and helpful
We had an amazing experience and the manager was very helpful with the Egyptian tours and sightseeing. The place was very clean and offered a variety of breakfast foods. Our driver Mohammed was so friendly and always tried to make our experience pleasant and exciting. Thank you Khan Duidar, we would come back again because of you!
The staff was great
Efficient and friendly staff, good tours. Great breakfast. Location convenient but awkward to find with construction and normal hubbub going on. Great pyramid view. Comfortable beds and pillows. Loved it,
A real family hotel . Fabulous views of the pyramids. Staff couldn’t do enough for us . Would come again.
Amazing ! Family trip !
One of the best hotels I've stayed at in the world. And we travel a lot! It was a family trip with my wife and our two little children. Everything was perfect; everyone working at the hotel was very friendly but always showed a lot of respect. Everyone treated us excellently. The driver who picked us up at the airport was super kind and friendly. The room was super clean, the beds extremely comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. Plus, the view of the pyramids was beautiful. It was an unforgettable experience. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. If we ever come back, we will definitely stay here again.
Lovely friendly hotel, good value for money, staff exceptional. Fantastic views of the pyramids and great breakfast.
Cute little hotel on the 12th and 13th floors of the building; because of the size it makes you fee very cozy, like at home. All the staff is very friendly and professional, providing excellent service to all guests and going above and beyond about any request you have.
"Khan Duidar Inn is an exceptional hotel that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped foot in the hotel, I was greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The staff at Khan Duidar Inn were incredibly friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was nothing short of perfect. The rooms at Khan Duidar Inn were not only spacious and beautifully decorated, but they were also immaculately clean. The attention to detail in the design and furnishings created a cozy and inviting atmosphere, making me feel right at home. The comfortable bed provided a great night's sleep, and the stunning views of the Giza area from my window made each morning even more enjoyable. One of the highlights of my stay was the incredible food at the hotel's restaurant. The culinary experience at Khan Duidar Inn was simply outstanding. The menu offered a wide variety of delicious local and international dishes, each prepared with utmost care and using fresh, high-quality ingredients. The attentive and knowledgeable staff were always available to recommend the perfect dish, ensuring a memorable dining experience. Moreover, the location of Khan Duidar Inn is incredibly convenient for exploring the wonders of Giza. The famous Giza Pyramids and Sphinx are just a short distance away, allowing for easy access to these iconic landmarks. The hotel also provided transportation services and organized tou
Like: The view of the Pyramids. Don't like: Room is too small
A hidden jewel!
When we first pulled up to Khan Duidar Inn I was a little worried - the neighborhood is under repair and the door was not the nicest. However, once we got upstairs to the inn, all my worries disappeared. The Inn is small but well-kept, the rooms are perfectly nice, the view is amazing, and the staff were phenomenal. I should add that we arrived at 4am, so no neighborhood looks amazing at that time! In the light of day, we were excited to be where we were - it's in just a normal neighborhood near schools and shops and everyday life. It was neat to see the Egyptians just doing their thing. I cannot say enough about the staff. They were so kind, so hospitable, and so SO helpful. At one point we had an issue with an international wire to pay for another part of our trip. Sayid, the manager, offered to get on the phone with the tour operator for us to help us sort it out. He let us borrow his personal phone charger as we had not had a chance to buy an Egyptian one. He and the staff helped us in every aspect of our trip. Oh, and the resident cat is very sweet. My son named him Catenkamhen. But, we think the cat may be a girl, so we changed it's name to Cleocatra. This place is a hidden jewel. It's not touristy, and it is worth the ride. Seriously, stay here. It's so good.
Like a lot of reviews...the view of the pyramids is the selling point...fantastic! The area is like the rest of the area close to the pyramids...old school Cairo...dirty, but safe. Staff is great rooms are nice. Elevator works but it is small and a little scary. Overall, I would go there if you have never seen the pyramids because they are still the most incredible structures ever built by mankind! And be sure to ride the camels around them...you can go right up to the pyramids and get a piece of them to take home and get lots of great pictures!
As usual, this place is always perfect. Unbelievable views and a stunning terrace. Will surely be back no question.
Great view of pyramids from rooftop patio. My room opened onto this patio, so could easily sit under the stars or stare at the pyramids. Friendly manager and staff. Downside: the street that the hotel is on and the lower building itself are under construction. Not noisy or unsafe, just unexpected. Hotel is for a more adventurous traveler, for the mean time…
Family of 4 stayed one night. The staff are amazing , extremely helpful and super friendly. The view from the rooftop is perfect. We loved it.
Our experience at this hotel was wonderful. We felt very well taken care of. Every member of the team made sure we felt safe and comfortable. Big thank you to the owner Mr Ahmed, manager Sayed, receptionist Eslam and all other employees, including breakfast team who always made sure we were fed before heading for a daytime adventures! You made our stay there unforgettable experience. The evening tea on the roof top terrace was amazing time. The hospitality is incredible, it makes you want to come back again.
Unforgettable stay!
Stunning views of the pyramids Breakfast buffet has a lot of selection Staff was friendly
Overall we would come back. The actual property on the top floor is very nice and the staff and breakfast were fantastic. This was our first time to Egypt and Giza. The arrival to the property was a bit of a shock compared website photos. It doesn't show what it looks like down on the ground. With respect...it seemed scary and unsafe upon initial arrival. By the second day we had been won over.
Great Hospitality Kindness Honesty All Staff were very Friendly. Also very Clean.
Exactly as described! Great place! 20 minutes walk to pyramids. I was afraid of wild/street dogs downstairs on the street. Make sure to arrange taxi/transfer with a hotel receptionists from and to airport. Wifi was great! Water pressure fantastic!
My stay at Khan Duidar will be one of the most remembered and enjoyed part of my brief visit to Egypt. Staff is most amazing, cordial, and pleasant. Each and everyone of them will go out of his/her way to assist you, while keeping a calm and understanding attitude. During my stay the manager Sandy especially is a warm, thoughtful, and efficient problem solver . Other staff, Saleh, the 3 Mohamads, Ibrahim, and others were right there whenever needed. Food was modest but delicious and enjoyable on one of the three eating spaces around the nice roof. I wish there was more starts to give. I will certainly come back during my next visit.
A truly memorable stay with ample views of the Pyramids in this elegant Rooftop hotel. All members of the staff are very polite and efficient.
This property has excellent views of the pyramids right from your room with access to the peaceful rooftop terrace. The staff were outstanding and very helpful.
Amazing views and great breakfast!
The rooms were clean and very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Giza
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and had great views if the pyramids.
Great view of the Pyramids Very clean and updated rooms Good shower Great fresh breakfast Comfortable beds Quiet air conditioner Very helpful and friendly staff Good location for the Pyramids Interesting authentic Egyptian area Would go back Highly recommend
We really enjoyed our stay staff and service was excellent they go above and beyond to make you feel at home if we ever go back to Egypt we will be staying there again
Wonderful Stay in Giza
A group of friends and I occupied three rooms during a recent stay at Khan DuiDar. We were treated like kings and queens during our stay. Our transfer was arranged through the hotel as we arrived in to Cairo early in the morning from Luxor. Everything went smoothly. The views of the pyramid from the balcony were incredible. The rooms were clean and well appointed. Ashraf arranged our tour of the pyramids, Coptic Cairo as well as the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC). This museum is not to be missed!! He also arranged our transfer as we were also staying a couple nights in downtown Cairo. I also want to add that we wanted to get an Uber to take us to a restaurant for dinner one night. They were so helpful in helping us find an Uber as I guess it can be hard for Uber drivers to find the hotel. I can’t recommend this hotel enough.
What a great stay with Amazing View! The staff was super helpful and nice. Believe me you will not regret staying here!
Great staff at the hotel.

Don’t let the area around the property deter you, This inn is located in a PRIME location near the main attractions such as the pyramids , Grand Egyptian Museum etc! There’s also a local grocery store for your late night munchies and a bustling local life activity which was nice to watch and hear. The staff and owner of this inn are what makes this place very special. Everyone here is soo gracious , so kind and very hospitable. They want to serve you in any way possible. They felt like family away from family and look out for you!! The star of this property is its rooftop! It is INCREDIBLE! It was such a honor to wake up each day and have the Giza pyramids as my view for breakfast or in the evenings when it cooled down. What a marvelous sight! The room I had was of decent size for 1/2 ppl. It was clean and had the basic necessities. Bathroom was a nice size too! I did notice my room never really locked from the outside which did pose a concern for me. Anyone could just enter the room. But I did not have any issues. Maintenance staff was prompt if you had any issues in your room to fix it and housekeeping did a great job in refreshing the room. They offer tours on site and have a delicious restaurant you can order from outside of the inn. Overall, while this inn is small and not over the top, the staff and views really make up for it big time. I would recommend this place if you are in need of somewhere budget friendly and efficient! About 30-40 mins away from intl airport!
