Kaunas City stay

This hotel is in the perfect location right in the center of the city on the main pedestrian street, lots of locations within walking distance to visit, lots of coffee shops, bars and restaurants. ten minute walk from the Arena and large shopping centre. 10 minutes walk from the old town and river walks and parks. Location wise it is perfect. The hotel itself is clean and tidy with very pleasant staff, Room nice and clean and everything you need in it.The only downside to this hotel is they only have a breakfast room so if you have an hour or so free before heading out you have to stay in your room as there is no bar or lobby to relax in but apart from that I would stay in this hotel again.

Very nicely located on the pedestrian avenue. A bit of a walk to attractions like Kaunas castle but manageable. Bare minimum amenities but the room was clean and location was good for the price.

Good Value and Centrally-Located

We booked a triple room which provided plenty of space (it wasn't just a double with an extra bed crammed in.) The facility appeared clean albeit somewhat utilitarian. The hotel is right next to a small grocery store, which is very convenient. It is also located on the main pedestrian street in the city so there is an endless number restaurants nearby. The breakfast (not included) was basic but a fair value. The parking is complementary, but be aware that accessing the lot requires a cellphone to call the front desk (as I don't use international roaming when I travel, this made for a tricky situation). Overall, a good value and the location can't be beat.

This hotel is run-down, rough and ramshackle. Most of the staff spoke to me with a contemptuous smirk on their face at all times. I felt unwelcome. There were stains on the carpet (room 304) and the mini fridge had a coating of dust on top. A couple of days into my stay, I opened my room door to find half the corridor all blocked off by a painter and his equipment. The walls were being painted and I received absolutely no notification beforehand. One day I came back to find the cleaner had removed the cushion from my bench for some reason (I had not used or touched it). On the Saturday there was huge noise from hoodlums shouting and booming their music until at least 2am. When I asked reception about it, I was moved to the room across the hall, but now my room overlooked the smoking area and I couldn't open the window because of the absolute stink. When I think of what I got in other countries' hotels for this price I am very angry. This hotel and this city are both a genuine dump.

Wouldn't recommend

The hotel is well located and clean, but the negatives outweighed this so I wouldn't recommend. There was very loud music from a nearby bar until very late, you can hear noise from other rooms/floors, and the room didn't have a single free outlet so you have to unplug lights to charge your phone.

Second visit to Kaunas

Our second visit to this excellent hotel. This time for a family wedding. Superb location. Friendly staff.

Really disappointed as we booked twin room with a view to the city, they gave us disabled room with a view to back yard. They had small, worn out towels, the bathroom floor was dirty. Won’t recommend this hotel to my family and friends

Wonderful location, comfortable room and friendly staff made our stay on Kaunas wonderful 🙂 When we return to Kaunas, we will return to this fine hotel.

This property was very convenient for our stay I was there for surgery and there were many things right around the property restaurants coffee shops grocery store only problem is if your handicap beds are not very good they are very low to the ground and there's very loud music on the weekends if you're on the wrong side of the hotel you will be up all night! The handicap rooms were far enough away from the music, The staff was very helpful and friendly !

I was here for medical tourism. The 3rd floor balconies are worthwhile, for sun, air, views and open air entertaiment. Location is great as there are numerous nearby places for drinks, food, etc.

Central position in Kaunas

Great location in a idle of Laisves street.Easy to reach any attraction in town by foot. We would recommend to use more local milk and meat (Lithuanian)products as yogurts, cheese,sausages, ham etc.Found breakfast selection too processed, not great taste, even yogurt was foreign. Lithuanian products are so much better. However quality coffee and tea was 24/7 which was very enjoyable.Reception girls were kind and attentive.

Tired rooms

Hotel room was very basic , needs update. Definitely not a 4*. Great central location. Room was clean apart from whiskey bottle top on the floor from previous guest. Windows were huge but view was dreadful and restricted. Great having Netflix in the room. Check out time was 12 but allowed to keep room till 2pm which was a great help at no extra cost .

Poor shower pressure, ved small and too soft, no support at all.

Freedom around the hotel and access was good, the continental breakfast was basic so we ate out. There were TEN dogs on the property and although they were quiet one poodle barked most nights. Not my idea of a hotel but thats what 'dog friendly' is about. Great location with good wifi.

Small simple room in decent hotel

Good service but very small and simple room. Location on main pedestrian street will be nice in future but in June 2019 major construction on the street is pretty unappealing and inconvenient.

This is a perfectly fine hotel. Staff are really helpful and rooms are clean and comfortable. The only tricky thing is there’s a night club nearby playing music loudly until very late, so a light sleeper will struggle. Didn’t bother me but I can see it would bother some people. Otherwise excellent - fab location, close to attractions and bus stops and lots of places to eat

Staff are really friendly. Breakfast is good for the amount you pay . The hotel is central location and near restaurants and shops. Clean rooms, good value for money.

Excellent stay

Lovely hotel on me in thoroughfare of the city. Currently the concourse us being re-developed but this did not spoil our stay. We arrived early but staff on check-in were so friendly allowing us to sit and have a coffee until our room became available. Room was comfortable and toasty warm which was excellent because the weather outside was quite the opposite. Lovely stay

Hotel was brilliant right in city centre. Great staff very clean room . Only one downside and no restraunt in it however loads all around hotel especially the one nextdoor great.

The location was great and the room had a fantastic view.

Amazingly central hotel of excellent value

Excellent hotel which is both great value for the service received and how central it is to explore Kaunas City Centre and Old Town. Most of the main attractions around Kaunas are accessible on foot from the hotel and there is a supermarket just below it and food/drink places all around. Quite surprising that the hotel was really quiet in the evening as well and a good night's rest can be had from how central it is. Main feedback is that in preparation for the European City of Culture 2022, Kaunas local municipality seems to be doing quite a lot of work on the main avenue where this hotel is located, so it can be a bit of a trek on dirt and grit to get there - but I believe that should hopefully be a reasonably temporary condition which is beyond the hotel management's control. Once all the work is done, I'm sure it would be perfect!

Good hotel for overnight stay. First time in Kaunas so not disappointed.

The hotel room was very clean, no tea making no tv no phone however a small supermarket next door sold everything, very inexpensive, the restaurants all within minute walk were fantastic, the people are so friendly and helpful, I would definitely stay at the hotel and would recommend it.

Fantastic location for this property - it was a fifteen minute walk from the Old Town and located conveniently for transport to and from both the airport and the train / bus station. The hotel itself is modern, rooms are very reasonably sized. Bathrooms are clean and there is plenty of cupboard space. Stayed here for just one night during a stay to Kaunas, although the excellence of the hotel made me wish that I'd stayed here for longer!

Very good value lodgings in central Kaunas

Very good value, central location on main street of Kaunas, Old Town a 15/20 minute stroll away. Room spacious (though we were a couple put in a triple room), comfortable bed, good shower with good pressure. Friendly helpful staff at reception, mini-supermarket downstairs. Room key-card gets you a 20% discount in mini-market and cafe downstairs. Towels were a bit flimsy and small. Wifi was good, and free.

Modern central hotel

This hotel has a new and modern feel to it. Rooms are spacious and functional. The bathroom is also quite spacious for this price range. Nice breakfast available wiith everything I needed This hotel also has free WiFi and Air conditioning..Staff were friendly and helpful with the hotel being very central and within walking distance of the old town, Kaunas castle, bars and shops etc.

Convenient and pleasant

Decent place to stay. Convenient location. Great for walking. Quiet. Breakfast was poor from what I observed, but I did not eat there. Good, small vegan place just down the block on same side of street toward the city. Helpful staff.

Great value

Lovely hotel with excellent, helpful staff. The hotel is situated close to lots of restaurants, bars and local shops. We got the bus from the airport (No29) which took us a stones throw from the hotel and it was under a Euro each!

Great Hotel

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for two nights in August. I booked this hotel because of its rather central location and affordable price. It was listed as a 2.5 star hotel and my expectations were not too high. However, we were surprised by everything in the hotel. The staff were friendly, polite, nice and helpful. Even the housekeepers put on a smile and greeted us. The entire hotel was also very clean and gave us a cosy feeling. Parking was just behind the hotel. However, it was difficult to find the entrance, unless you approach the hotel staff or give them a call. Overall, I will think it is under-rated. This hotel should be listed more than a 2.5 star hotel.

This hotel was a great value and a great location. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent in Every Way

Arrived early but was allowed check-in as the room was ready. The staff were very nice and spoke English well. The room was enormous. Much larger than I had expected. The common areas were very modern, with energy-efficient lights in the hallways, and the room seemed almost brand new. The bed was huge. It could have possibly fit three. And it was very, very comfortable. The room had a/c and it worked very well. The location was great. You're right on the hip pedestrian mall, next to a number of cafes, restaurants, and little shops. There's a well-stocked supermarket downstairs, and a very good cafe where you get a significant (at time of stay) discount if you show your room key. The old city is a fairly easy walk, and the public bus to/from the airport drops off two blocks away. Did not get a chance to eat the breakfast and had minimal interaction with the staff, but I really enjoyed this hotel and would have stayed an extra night in Kaunas just to have this hotel a bit longer. It was very comfortable and I slept well.

Good place in the centre of it all

Better than expected

If you arrive in a taxi you'll get dropped off round the back and probably expect to be mugged but it really isn't that bad. The main entrance is on a pedestrianised street. The room was very spacious and we had an extra bed as did others we knew who stayed at this hotel. A 10/15 min walk from the old town but still a few bars round by the hotel. Would stay here again

One good sleep night in city centre

Stayed there fir a night befire my early morning flight from local airport. Was given a 'lux' room when I just paid for a single, because it was the only room left I guess.. nice and clean. Decent air conditioning system. For a 2 star hotel I was left more than happy.

Comfortable, clean, convenient, best deal!, super.

Kaunas is a city for experienced travelers. The first, best thing upon arrival was that the hotel offers parking. The manager and staff were very friendly and attentive. The well appointed rooms were an oasis of peace and order for us retirees. We were delighted to be able to reach every point of interest in Kaunas on foot with info supplied by the hotel. Everything functioned including Wifi, and the breakfast was not gourmet but fully adequate. A great deal all-round for the price.

Good Location

We chose this hotel based on reviews we had read previously we normally go for a 3 star so was slightly nervous but there was no need the room was more than adequate quite large clean and comfortable. The only thing which differs from a 3 star is no kettle in room. However not a problem good coffee shop downstairs and you can get breakfast in the hotel for 3 euros 50 (we did not have breakfast). Good location too to walk to the old town 10 mins and for pubs and bars nearby too. Would defiantly recommend or return to when we visit Kaunas again.

Excellent Facility

This hotel is in a nice place...on a boulevard (no cars) and the staff was very helpful and spoke clear English. I checked out a few days before my scheduled departure and since they could not refund my non- refundable charges, they chose not to charge me for my breakfasts.

Great location

Stayed here in October 2014. Location is excellent, staff are friendly and price was great. Only problem we had was a noisy neighbour, but this was sorted out after we contacted reception. There is also a small supermarket next to hotel which opens late. Great place to stay for a visit to kaunas

Wonderful staff very friendly specialy the 2 receptionists that we met. One of them it was on service in the night time when we, me and my wife arive , i don't remember her name but in english ment wind she told us. Very nice girl she help us out with every information we ask. The house kiper very helpful and polite girl. Rooms very clean and confortable. We recomand this hotel sincerly as one of the best. Thank you to all the staff.

Comfortable stay

It is a good budget hotel at the central street of Kaunas, 15 minutes walk from the railway and bus station. It is a new hotel and is good upkept. The staff is helpful. It will be better if there was a small refrigerator in the room

Great value hotel in the centre of Kaunas

This good-looking two star hotel is located in a modern glass and steel extension grafted on to the top of a two storey eighteenth century building. It’s situated at the Old Town end of Laisves aleja, a pedestrianised street in the centre of town. I arrived by plane at Kaunas airport and took the number 29 bus into the city centre. The fare was just 2 litas and the journey took about 30 minutes. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the bus stop on K Donelaicio gatve. There is a very handy small supermarket in the same building. The rooms were basic but clean and tidy and the shower in the bathroom worked well. Breakfast was a €3 continental affair which I declined as the breakfast room appeared full. Hotel guests get a 20% discount at the modern café next to the hotel entrance and they do a decent bacon and eggs for about 6 litas. The Old Town is about a 10 minute walk away with its many bars and restaurants and there are also two British-style pubs located on Laisves aleja itself - ‘Le Fin’ and ’Republic’ - both of which are open late. As I was leaving Kaunas by train I asked the receptionist the best way to get to the station and she helpfully wrote out the numbers of all the buses and trolley buses I could get there while I went and had breakfast. All in all a great little hotel for the price. No wonder it was packed.

Location is perfect and the overall standard was decent to good! AC worked very well and it was clean and room.size was good. Nothing luxury but id recommend it, especially for the Location (cant be better)

Cozy hotel with a good location. Nothing special though, but a good basic hotel. Breakfast was basic. Room was clean and in a good condition. You could hear the noise of the street to the room quite well.

Good stay

As usual, great hotel to stay when in Kaunas. At the pedestrian city center street is always hood to have a walk after work. Restaurants and bars near. Rooms are basic but comfortable enough. No amenities are provided (at least for free). Nice service.

Ok rom, men ikke helt møblert

Har hatt veldig bra rom under tidligere opphold på Kaunas city, men denne gangen manglet det møbler. Det var ikke nattbord ( merker på veggen tyder på at det var fjernet) og der var kun en ubekvem stol. Stolen brukte jeg som nattbord, heldigvis var ledningen på skrivebordslampen såpass lang at jeg kunne flytte den bort til sengen. Da var det ingen stol å sitte i . Ellers god seng og skikkelig aircondition, noe som er det viktigste for meg.
