Awesome Place
This is an amazing property and the service at every place in the hotel is extraordinary. Did not use the outdoors as it was cold but it looked awesome. Great location for a big family event.
Beautiful interior and exterior grounds, lots to do for all ages. Resort vibes.
Impossible to get a dinner reservation without several days advance notice. Breakfast/brunch line extremely long and service slow. Pool: all the prime seating costs extra or is for "reserve" members only.
Excellent property away from the parks
Love this place but it’s got so expensive over the last few years
did not like the shower ,no water pressure , fridge did not work properly , we enjoyed the stay as usual
Only disappointment pillows and mattress were as comfortable as JWM down town Tampa
Good property. Needs to have shopping for sundry items.
Wonderful stay. Lovely staff and many dining and drinking options.
Worth the price
It is a beautiful hotel. The staff is very friendly.
My wife and I spent New Year’s Eve at the Marriott grand Lake. Everything went off well and we really enjoyed ourselves. The fireworks were great one thing though their billing is a bit confusing but in the end, it all worked out correct I would recommend this hotel for a stay.
Great!!!
Excellent Experience Overall!
Always fabulous service. Great food!
Rooms Could be cleaner, the edged of the carpet were disgusting
Very nice property, good service.
Was a wonderful experience
Friendly staff
The property was very clean, there were a diverse range of restaurants and the pool and accommodations was great
Very clean
Beautiful property...nice waterpark
I was here for a conference and needed a copy of my hotel bill, which they assured me would be emailed to me (I am a Bonvoy member) it was never sent. After literally 6 phone calls trying to speak to a person, I went to the website and tried to download. It did not work. I tried on 2 different browsers, still nothing. finally went through their endless automated menu and got a person. Let's see if the invoice actually gets to me...Overall, I find the "Folio" system antiquated. Invest in modern technology please...
Great room
Lovely hotel, had a great time despite being constantly harassed regarding credit card being declined even though I had left cash on arrival & was told I could pay cash on departure. On checkout valet refused to hand over car key to load luggage even though i was at front desk paying our balance. The issue caused as hotel had charged 2 times for valet parking for 24 hrs or cc wouldn't have been declined!! Not the service expected from a 5 star hotel we have stayed numerous times before. Could have been handled much better.
It was safe and clean.
My overall review about the experience was great. The JW Marriott was a calm and convenient experience. I did have a complaint about room service late at night. The staff at the door seemed to expect a tip from only the most simple requests and made it uncomfortable at times. All the dining experiences were great around the hotel. My girlfriend and I did not have a good experience at Knife in Spoon however. The waiting staff seemed very pre-occupied, and we had 2 waiters serving us. However, this caused confusion often times in between them and lead to many repetitive questions. They did not seem very approachable and it did not feel like a Michelin start restaurant experience. The pools and hot tub experience was a brief one but without any issues from me. The staff at the pool area were receptive and available for orders.
Beautiful and expansive well manicured and maintained building and grounds
Spacious, great size, and excellent service!
Great facility!
Great weekend stay! This was our first time at the JW Marriot & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pool area is incredible & the culinary offerings, although a tad pricey, are all excellent. We will definitely be back.
crowded
Too many people at and in the pool.
Our stay during Labor Day Holiday was overall great with a few hiccups. Hotel is nice and well maintained. Rooms feel recently renovated and the interior design is very good. Check-in was easy, fast and professional. Hotel overall was clean despite the amount of guests. The fireworks were exceptional and something we hadn’t experienced at the Four Seasons Orlando. The property and grounds along with the Ritz Carlton are beautiful with good landscaping. The room robes have the best quality we’ve felt and we loved them. The TV size was excellent for our room. Elevators were fast, we never felt it took them long. Things we didn’t like: it seems there’s no good insulation in the rooms as we could hear water running in the bathroom from other rooms and babies crying next door. Lobby bar felt overwhelmed, service was slow and missed essential things like napkins and silverware when bringing food. Lunch at the pool restaurant was a disappointment, we ordered 4 hamburgers and after 1h20 and 2 rounds of alcoholic drinks, the order was still in the queue, we ended up cancelling the order and waited for our dinner reservation outside the hotel. It seems as though the F&B team is not able to handle the amount of work when hotel is at capacity. We will definitely come back but not during big holidays and also to try the tennis courts and golf course.
Always great. I continue to return year after year. Staff is great. The new pool area and water slides are fantastic
Good as always
Great family resort. Will return
Below standard
👍
The property was great as there were plenty of activities To do. The only things I did not like was the parking would fill up so quickly that it was hard to find a space when staying at the resort and there needs to be more control on tubes and chairs at the pool as I had to share a chair with my husband and we saw chairs for hours without anyone.
Very well maintained property and clean rooms.
Wonderful hotel & resort. High quality accommodation and facilities
Looking Elsewhere
This has been a 2nd home for us- it’s become expensive beyond the value delivered
What a beautiful resort!
.
Enjoyed our stay view was nice. Staff was nice.
Best pool day get away
The pool was amazing and it was not crowded. We do wish the stores and restaurants stayed open longer.
Kudos to JW
Because of school starting the place seemed pretty quiet. The staff is amazing and there are so many things to do between JW and Ritz which are interconnected. Our 5month old had an amazing time in the lazy river. The onsite restaurants were great. A bit pricey for room service and food but the over quality was A+.
Everything was amazing, definitely will be back!
Perfect vocation
Lovely Stay
Beautiful property. Lots of amenities.
Great experience. Loved walking around the paved paths around the lake
Very nice and clean recently remodeled hotel. The big slide closed at 6:00 which was quite early to me for summer, the pool staff also used an outdated app for closing pool even tho there was no rain on our app and closed the slide and reopened it 15 min until close which we were thankful but to make up for it you’d think they would keep open little longer. Lots of unhappy kiddos. The resultants were expensive for what they were. Loved there was a Starbucks on site!
The hotel was absolutely stunning and the pool as well. Unfortunately r had a terrible experience with our room as it smelt of sewage and had a terrible odor the entire trip. The maintenance tried various times to fix it and was unsuccessful
Great place to stay and the place is amazing to look out.
We arrived at 130am staff checking us in was very nice Next morning went to make reservations for dinner and they told me there were no restaurants available and had no other options for us. We then decided to go the desired restaurant and sit at the bar. Which was no problem at all. The food over all was not that great the only meal we enjoyed was at the pool restaurant all the other restaurants were horrible
Parking is very expensive
Very nice
Great overall experience. Will be returning.
Wifi was terrible, but overall a great experience
Booked a short stay here to round out our summer. The resort is fantastic. Very clean, updated and well laid out. We were here Tuesday through Friday and had the place to basically ourselves the first two days. Thursday more people started checking in so I would recommend a mid week stay if you’re looking for relaxation and quiet. All of the food we had at the various restaurants was outstanding. So fresh and high quality. The lazy river and the slides were amazing. My 8 year old had a blast. Can’t wait to come back and visit more JW resorts!
Only reason I wouldn’t give it a five is parking is paid and that wouldn’t be a problem if it wasn’t 38 a night I feel is just too much for no reason
Affordable luxury! Even though we live in the greater Orlando area, we staycation here frequently. This Resort feels luxurious in every way. The dining options here are fabulous! The pool and lazy river fantastic. They added some waterslides that make you feel like a kid again! So much for kids to do; activities to be involved in. Service is bar none!
This hotel was amazing. So gorgeous. The pool, water slides and lazy river were such a great addition. All the staff was kind and helpful. Our room was always clean. Only negative was the price or the food in the hotel, that being said we liked everything we ate and drank.
The first day the bellman people stole our kids snacks while they held our luggage. We packed a big plastic bag of about 20 small snacks (Doritos, lays chips, funions, etc) but when luggage arrived at our room most of the snacks in that bag were gone! There were 4 bags left. The Valet service damaged the rim on our brand new car on last day and the manager refused to do anything. Going to cost us $700 to replace it. At the bar by the slides I ordered a strawberry frozen drink which was a mix in a machine. It was $24. I took one sip and threw it away. The drink mix tasted sour and old and they just poured rum to float on top. It was absolutely disgusting. There’s no food for kids at the hotel. Just several very expensive upscale restaurants. We paid $12-$14 each bagels at the bodega. For all other meals we had to leave the hotel. We saw many families ordering delivery of Chick fil A. On positive side, its a beautiful hotel, with a great pool, lazy River and slides. It has a Starbucks which is a plus. The rooms were nice with very comfortable beds. Would we stay there again? No way.
Amazing!
All the staff was so helpful and the food was AMAZING. I just wish there was a microwave in the rooms
Nicely appointed rooms and convenient location
Excellent property
The lazy river is amazing!
horrible ! Staff rude not compensating security not there when someone has alcohol poured on top of them just viewing resorts kids from a balcony then valley driver swore at my husband ! horrible
Amazing pool and staff
Great service thank you
pool was too crowded
One of the best hotel properties that offers business, pleasure and family fun for all. A truly all-inclusive experience. The Riverway was incredible!
Beautiful n safe!
The pool, Starbucks downstairs, and the bar
Great view and grounds. Not too crowded. Great hospitality. Clean and well maintained.
We really enjoyed our stay at the JW Marriott. The pool, the waterpark the grounds everything was perfect. The only issue was that our shower with leak every time we showered because there is a gap in the shower doors. Besides that, we would definitely come back and stay again.
This was our second stay at the resort and it was absolutely amazing as always. We can't wait to return.
The property was dirty and the building looked run down. Our room was needing updating! The food at primo wasn’t the best. There was a spill of water by our table that we cause and we told the staff to clean it up and for about 30 min no one did nothing at all. It wasn’t until my wife said you guys will have a loss suite if someone slips and falls! They just put a caution wet sign that was it. We sat in the water we spilled. The all around property was run down and needed tlc. We won’t be staying at the Jw Marriott grande resort anymore.
The hotel is old and needs a major make over in the rooms at least. Sure you may have amenities but the hotel itself needs a make over it is not like other JW that very spacious and well kept. I mean from shower leaking to old uncomfortable beds. If you are looking for JW experience this is not it.
Family friendly, spacious, clean, updated, great customer service.
There was some mold in our room. I thought my room included a balcony. Picture on Expedia shown a balcony. Breakfast was an hour wait. Nice Hotel otherwise.
As always a beautiful place, great service, and that Lazy River!!!!!!
The ambiance of the hotel is amazing, the property is absolutely breathtaking. The kids loved the water slides, I really enjoyed the pool area.
The resort is beautiful! And the staff amazing, the water park was amazing for the kids , they love it , so much to do
The worst JW I’ve ever been to, impossible to do anything here. The king resort view rooms with balconies are subpar for the price, the bathroom showers…seen nicer showers in motels like it’s a joke for a “luxury” hotel shower. The pool is great, the only great thing, forget about having a drink or food by the pool, there’s no service available anywhere unless you dine in the pool restaurant or have a reserved cabana that doesn’t even cover you from sun, they literally have to put towels on their cabanas to make a roof, who designed that? Sat at the restaurant pool side to dine in to be able to get food, it took 10minutes for anyone to even come to the table, and it took another 15minutes before I had a frozen dispensed frose. This property has terribly poor service, called the expensive daily valet to have the car brought and they were like “we’re too busy you have to request it in person”, I was only able to use the call down service once in th days I stayed, and they moved the seat every time. If you have a pet there’s a high NON-Refundable pet fee which is nowhere to be found on Expedia. The daily resort fee doesn’t get you access to gym or sauna, you also need to either book at the spa or pay for a day pass (yes, as a staying guest!! How amazing is that?) and then you can use the gym and saunas…I called ahead and was told I could, not true. STAY AWAY
Great service friendly staff beautifull hotel a lot to do great for children.
Amazing hotel it has everything that you need! My family loved it. Super recommend
They overbooked this property to a ridiculous extent. We went down to the pool/lazy river at 11am and asked if there were any available chairs. We were told that we could sit on the ground. The service the rest of our stay was in line with that.
Perfect as always
I was there last 4 days and wow the experience was amazing, everything look so beautiful an our room was clean and whole pool was magnificent. Definitely come back!!!
Not the same anymore
We stayed here about 2 years ago and absolutely loved it. They added water slides and a bunch of “reserved” areas. Definitely not the same hotel anymore. Lost the charm and pool was completely packed to the max. Lazy river was so slammed could barely move. Along w trash and deflated tubes along river. Zero relaxation and it’s turned into just another over populated Orlando hotel. Really unfortunate.
Perfect and ideal
Always a great stay, love the pool & lazy river.
Good
The staff was super friendly and curtious
The property was beautiful. Pools were amazing!
Beautiful hotel. Clean room, excellent air conditioning. Lovely pool area. Our one issue was that the shower leaked horribly. It was leaking at the rubber casing at the bottom of the glass door. Water was all over the bathroom floor and made a huge mess.
Hotel staff were attentive to our needs and concerns!!
