Absolutely amazing time we have spent at St Regis Le Morne Resort. The resort is beautiful, quiet and very clean. Our room 493 was amazing suite with an ocean view and a terrace. The food is great we ate at the 4 of the 5 restaurants except the Indya and food was delicious and very high quality! The staff make us feel like we are home ,everyone was so kind and polite. Our favorites are Aroumel at the pool ,she was always great with us with her big smile everytime .Also we liked Veronne from the breakfast she always got us on our favorite table next to the pool ! Our driver Nadin also very nice and polite person and the taxi driver Rajoo who took us to the Port Louis and the La Vanille park and waited for us when we were there. I wanted to say big thank you to the whole St Regis La Morne team and we cant wait to be back next time with our kids! Thank you!

Absolutely loved everything about the JW Marriott Le Morne! The setting is dreamy, the sea is so transparent, the staff is kind, caring and efficient. The rooms and common areas/restaurant are so tastefully decorated. I rate this hotel well above some more famous Mauritian establishments, such as Le St Geran. When in Mauritius, I will always go back to this hotel. Thanks for making our stay a truly memorable one!!!!

We have been lucky enough, over the years to travel extensively around the world, yet I have to say that this will stay with us as being the best holiday we have ever had. For sure, the resort itself is exquisite and you feel such a sense of calm as soon as you drive through the gates, the food in all of the restaurants is outstanding and the rooms are all delightful. However, what sets this resort apart from any other we have visited, are the people ! The butler who was assigned to our room was Tej, who was so attentive and was a great ambassador for the resort. Every morning we would be collected by buggy to go to breakfast. Khunkhun and Navin especially, were so helpful. On arriving at breakfast you are greeted by the lovely smile of Reena and escorted to your table where we were served by the lovely Tarvin. The breakfast buffet is amazing and really needs to be seen to appreciate the quality of choice. Days were spent on the beach being looked after by the incredible Vicky, for whom nothing is too much trouble. The restaurants are all of exceptional quality. Indya was our favourite and Kevin, who served us had great knowledge of his menu. Adash in the Floating Market was also really helpful in helping us choose from an extensive menu. My husband used the gym daily and was really helped by Yogesen.Neha was a great help before and during our trip. The Senior Management Team are so approachable and friendly and were exceptional hosts

Mauritius is a beautiful island with lovely friendly people. The JW Marriott improves on this! It is set in a beautiful location with a fantastic beach, exemplary staff who cannot of enough for their guests, and 5 restaurants that serve fantastic food. My wife and I are big fans, and will return on day in the near future.

Good but not brilliant

Its a good hotel. All the staff try hard but some of the younger members are far from polished. We had a direct beachfront room, good size quite old fashioned and in need of refurb very soon. They are carrying out some planting directly in front of room and to protect areas fenced off using yellow plastic tape. Pretty unsightly in an £800 per nt hotel. There are many far more attractive solutions to fence off this area.However biggest disappointment was quality of food in restaurants, there was nothing particuarly bad but frankly.the meals were not great as i have come to expect at other 5 star hotels in Mauritius eg Oberoi,Prince Maurice ,but in fairness those experiences were a long while ago. We chose the half board option which is very expensive and and far from a cheap option(in fact a la carte maybe cheaper unless your are gluttons)and there are FAR too many dishes with a supplement. Given the cost this is insulting Notable staff members were butler Vikram, Neha and Venice who is trying his utmost to keep standards of service high in the restaurants. All in all a very good hotel but unlikely i will stay again.

I came to Mauritius during a sad time. My father, who was supposed to accompany me here passed away prior to my trip. I had contemplated coming, but am so glad that I still came to visit. So, let’s get into this review! JW Marriott is situated near the famous Le Morne Mountain and has a gorgeous beachfront view. I stayed in room 431, a Junior Suite which had a small pool view and ocean view. Construction and renovations are being conducted on the hotel rooms nearby, so this can be a bit disturbing and prove challenging when trying to nap, should you require a brief nap from jet lag. However, a minor inconvenience which has no bearing on my rating whatsoever. The property grounds are absolutely beautiful with amazing views of the Le Morne mountain, beach, and island vegetation/plants/trees. The facilities such as the gym, spa, and gaming room will rival most competitors. However, what really makes this property superb are the staff! I mean you cannot ask for a better group of men and women to care for you during your stay. My room was always kept neat and my mini bar was well stocked. There are restaurants on the property and the daily breakfasts to include a full coffee bar and selection were my favorite. Really a beautiful property and not much you can do to complain here. There are tours you can sign up via concierge and by pressing the number 0 on your phone, you can get all the things you need. Stay here if you want peace and solitude!

모리셔스 2주동안 3박 4일만 스테이 했는데 솔직히 여기 더 오래 있을 걸 후회 했어요 ㅋㅋ 객실도 크고 리조트 내 환경 진짜 좋습니다. 바다에서 익스커션 하기 가장 좋은 리조트입니다. 배타고 안나가도 바로 앞에 나가면 수심도 꽤 깊어지고 해양환경도 좋아요. 알았으면 여기서 일주일 있었을듯 ㅜㅜ

Right from check-in till check-out, the staff was super helpful. Despite a 9 am check in time, the room was ready for us within half an hour and they even provided us breakfast for that day. Small details like chocolates and macaroons left in our room was really nice. One of the best properties we’ve stayed at till now.

We had the best time ever, the staff are just AMAZING, attentive is honestly an understatement, they all went above and beyond to make our stay extra special, special thanks to our butler Riad for all his kindness and assistance. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable and quiet with direct access to the beautiful beach and a view of le Morne Mountain. There are many options for lunch and dinner and the food was really good, the breakfast is also really good with so many options available. Definitely the best hotel I've ever stayed in, will definitely come back again.

My wife-to-be and I recently stayed at this resort for an 8 night stay during May. It was my first time in Mauritius, and my wife’s second time. We are always nervous when booking hotels as I am vegetarian and she is vegan, so we have specific dietary requirements which not may hotels cater to appropriately. From the moment we booked to the moment we arrived as the staff went above to beyond to understand our requirements and ensure they were prepared before we arrived. When we arrived we were stunned by how lovely the resort was. The hotel, grounds, gardens, facilities, and the beautifully pristine private beach took our breath away. We booked a Junior Suite with a Garden View, however we were still able to see the beach and ocean from our room. The rooms are situation in lovely French-colonial style villas spanning the stretch of the beach. The room was amazing, it was spacious, tastefully designed, and with a very generously sized bathroom. Room service was excellent, our room was thoroughly cleaned at least twice a day and they always made our room smell lovely. The butler service to the room was a lovely touch, and is complimentary too. Our butler Ravi was very attentive. He made the effort to spoke to us everyday and made sure we had everything we needed no matter what the request. Moving on to the restaurants, they were all fantastic. Best hotel in Mauritius!

The resort was recently rebranded to JW Marriott from the previous St Regis. The hotel, grounds and facilities are splendid and the staff really went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The beach has fine white sand set within the dramatic backdrop of mount Le Morne. I highly recommend this property for an unforgettable experience.

The hotel is likely to have been managed at very high standards (back when it was a St. Regis hotel), but is now struggling to upkeep them after its rebranding. The rooms and buildings fit very nicely into the scenery, the beach is extensive and there is some extremely attentive staff (butler Sylvestre or the beach boys). However, renovations would be necessary and the reliability of some of the processes are not at its best (room cleaning routine etc.). Overall, I'd recommend it.

The location is really beautiful but the service is not really the St. Regis standard. Apart from a few standing out, most staff lack finess like what one’d expect from the hotel this rank ( sweeping the floor under your table while you were eating for example )

I think they can do much better in communication between the staff within and the cleanliness of the rooms and materials provided. Hotel for families

The hotel is fantastic. The room beautiful although far away from the reception you will need a buggey. Beach good for snorkelling but you will need shoes for the coral. The service is great. The worst part is that if you travel as a couple there are million kids. This hotel is for families.

The staff were very polite and helpful. We travelled with our infant and were given a late checkout room just so she could nap in the afternoon. Also the meals we had served in our room rivalled the restaurant setting, more than just room service, with table cloths and flowers and candles. Overall the best and most attentive staff we have encountered on holiday.

Had the grand suite which is on the beachfront. Huge and beautiful room but faced some problems with cleanliness! The hotel staff were quick to make any issues better but the service here needs some serious improvement. One of the staff told us when we stayed the hotel was perhaps 50% full. Yet, meals took ages to arrive, barely any staff by the pool however well staffed on the beach, room service takes absolute ages!!, cleaner isn’t as thorough as they should be and finally the butler service is not a butler service. They don’t do much and the buggies hardly arrive in time even if you pre-book hours in advance. Food was a high standard but didn’t taste to great, this is a personal preference though. The good things: the manager was amazing, so were the check in staff. After raising a compliant they all worked very hard to rectify all mistakes and make the occasion we went for great. Spa was absolutely incredible! Definitely get a massage if you can while you’re at this resort. Staff were always friendly and polite.

very nice resort, well equipped by the beach with great views. Staff is very friendly and tries their best but very inconsistent and sometimes not very courteous. Food service is slow but food is good. We also had an incident where my wife was bitten by a mouse in the restaurant. Hotel took her to the clinic and it was suprficial. Disappointing though to see they did not behave nor treated this as a big thing. Overall, we will not stay there again as the premium image of st regis is for sure not delievered in this hotel

Recently had a 1 week stay. Resort is very beautiful. There are lots of families around so not as quiet as adult only resorts. Service is top notch, especially Ravi, our butler for the week. It is rather far from any of the larger cities so if you plan on sight-seeing, it may take 30 minutes to an hour to drive there. The beach is rather rocky and has a lot of seashells. I recommend bringing water shoes for those with sensitive feet.

The St Regis hotel was amazing. From the minute we arrived we were welcomed with friendly smiles from all the staff. The location was amazing, the food was exceptional and the staff went above all expectations to make our stay the best it could have been. The only thing I feel they need to work on is the experience at the boat house, I have been to Mauritius several times before and have had much better experiences with water sport activities at other resorts I have stayed at.But in all fairness this is my only criticism I have of the place, everything else was 10/10

Horrible room fantastic service

The service was impeccable, however our room was moldy and stank also of sewage. The room was in bad condition, television did not work properly, telephone was not working until it was repaired. The floor in the bsthroom was full of horrible stains as was the bath.

Dream Hotel on a pictures Beach!

We stayed in a beachfront juniorsuite and enjoyed every minute of this beautiful room and it’s amazing location. 10 meters from our patio was the Indian Ocean. We enjoyed every evening the most beautiful sun sets from it. Our butler Jonathan was amazing. His highest goal was to provide us a wonderful and personal experience. Thank you so much. Breakfast at the Manor was always huge and the selection perfect. Also the staff was extremely friendly. The only little downside was the dinner. In all Restaurants we felt the food for the half board plans was just everage, but if the staff felt something was not right they tried always their very best to make it right. The SPA was also one of our highlights. The treatment rooms are one of a kind and the massages were very relaxing.

Service and personnel, especially the butler service were second to none (Thanks Ashwin & team). The staff pulls St Regis through at times when one could fault the property in some areas. Beach & pools - excellent. Restaurants - great, although difficult to get reservations on the day for some. We were on a B&B package (I concluded it's better value than the All-In rates). The negatives: Room - an oceanview jnr suite: We may have been unlucky, but felt the room were tucked in a dark corner. Just about qualifying as ocean view, mouldy smell were masked with overpowering room spray, allover in need of a lick of paint and a proper clean. The toilet had a permanent strong urine smell (think mens public bathroom at a sports stadium). I'd say just be sure you see and inspect your room before you settle in - we should have asked for a move.

Perfect holiday!

Hotel is an hour from airport. Sits in amazingly beautiful surrounds. No shops nearby (didn't bother me at all but some like to wander to a shop or two). The staff are beyond excellent, I have travelled extensively and this was far and away the best service I have experienced. The team combine professionalism with friendliness and the result is feeling like your mind is being read re: your needs. Stayed in a junior suite and the butler service was divine! One night we were booking to eat in the Chinese restaurant, my friend wanted to eat at another restaurant as she wanted to try the tortellini. The staff member noticed her face and asked if she would like to order from another restaurant (which she did and the tortellini was awesome!) This is customer service with a capital CS! We are planning our next visit already! Would I stay here again? Absolutely! Note: the hotel does not have 2 queen beds in any of their rooms (as advertised by wotif). All rooms have king size beds and a sofa bed. Three of us arrived expecting 2 queen beds (stated on our booking form with wotif) the manager gave us another junior suite (really appreciated as I was not willing to sleep on a sofa bed! Back surgeon would not have been impressed with me doing that!).

A great 5-star hotel, ideally located on the Le Morne lagoon. Good facilities, pool, beach, gum, tennis, restaurants etc. Staff and particularly Butler service were excellent (Gary was our Butler who I cannot recommend highly enough). We were there for our honeymoon and it did exactly what it wanted to do. It was not cheap but you get what you pay for.

High Price Low Standards

The standard of the hotel does not qualify as the expected standard of St Regis. Many issues and complaints not worth wasting your vacation time. Unhappy with the dishonest management. Our vacation would have been miserable if we didn't argue and demand better treatment and services. Food was a huge Disappointment in general and especially the seafood buffet. Beach is hard to walk on because of many broken shells instead of soft sand.

Luxury at its finest St Regis

Get pampered at the St Regis. Great hotel and lovely soft white sandy beach. Food is amazing and many different restaurant's to choose from. Rooms are spacious with luxury bathrooms. Staff are the best you can ever find they are very helpful and make your staff as best as they can. Best luxury hotel in Mauritius.

Very disappointing

Very disappointed by the service. Mainly: 40min for the check in, changed the sheets of the bed but not the pillow cases, defective wakebording equipment (broken strap on a boot). Beach service for towels and drinks inexistant before 10.30am. Finally the shower gels had exfolianting plastic micro beads that have been identified as the worst plastic pollution source in the oceans. Definitely Not worth of a 5 star.

The location is great. The beach is wonderful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff is nice and great, but not properly trained in all areas. The room was not cleaned as it should be in St Regis. There were ants in the room and on the beach. There was a big cockroach running in my room on my last night out. Although there are many restaurants, food was average. The watersport activities were great and staff was very accommodating and helpful. It's a nice hotel, but needs improvement.

Wonderful room and a quality experience here; with only one glaring problem. The food quality and service at all restaurants is no where as good as expected. The best food experience is breakfast, as it is exceptable. The worst food experience is the higher prices Japanese experience.

Great resort for first timers!

Had a lovely experience along with my wife. We were totally taken by surprise, the hospitality offered by every staff member. We took the half board package, which included breakfast and dinner (excluding drinks), however, it was worth it. I'd recommend to take the full board package, if you can! Rooms were always clean, staff super awesome, and the resort was lovely, by the beach. We picked the room, that faced the beach; was a perfect view. 30 second walk to the water! Talk to the staff, let them get to know you - as they know you more, the more perks you can get out of their amazing service. You'd be amazed what kind of requests they can fulfill. Couldn't have asked for a perfect spot in Mauritius! Thank you, guys!

Terrible Service and horrible stay....

Unfortunately, this hotel was a huge disappointment. The service was awful. Room was not serviced until 4 or 5 pm each day after calling repeatedly. The room service was always delivered after 60 minutes and sometimes 90 minutes. Rude staff and especially the assistant manager on duty in the evening. After complaining to the General Manager, I realized he simply does not care or understand what is being said to him and got a smile and a handshake. We left one day early due to the unfortunate experience and have vowed never to come back to this place or a St. Regis again.

Great stay

We stayed at the St Regis for 8 days on a half board basis. This was a good idea as food and drink prices are expensive. We stayed in a beach front villa which was excellent with a large balcony/veranda to watch the sunset. All staff at the St Regis are excellent. Very attentive and genuinely want to do all they can to make your stay fabulous. The choice of restaurants is good and I thought the quality and presentation of food was very good. My favourites were the Floating market and the Boathouse. Very enjoyable stay.

The perfect getaway.

A perfect place to relax

The hotel has excellent service with very friendly and attentive staff right from the time of arrival to our departure. Room clean and very comfortable with a good view of the beach, amazing bathroom too. Everything at your desire care of the Butler Service. Good choice of food from the four different restaurants. the Japanese restaurant does not form part of the meal plans. One recommendation to those without children, avoid the school holidays! Unfortunately, some parents do not control their children and are left to run around unattended and be rather noisy.

Ok; not the same quality level of other St. Regis

The hotel is nice, i mean the location is very nice, the property itself is good and the reception when you arrive is very nice, the manager comes and says hello and you are treated well. Then you see the things that are very basic and don't work or people are not committed to make it work. For example, the food: the restaurants are expensive; even for Mauritius standard and the food is really not good. either the quantity is too much or too small and i couldn't understand the why of that. I have tried all the restaurants at the property and it is a common problem. Once i tried a restaurant outside the hotel, i found what i was looking for. The bathroom had a bad smell and unless i called to fix the smell came up everyday. The hotel staff is obsessed on providing minibar replacements and keeps knocking at the door while the cleaning was not like that. the breakfast was very good. swimming pool was very nice as well. the checkout was weird. the manager was asking me what property we were leaving to as apparently there was an exodus of people to other hotels but we were just leaving. the checkout is not intuitive and the hotel could really be the best but i think the staff is not committed and finally they don't know how to make a popcorn; although they charged us US$15 for 2 small plates of popcorn on room service.

Hospitality at its best.

I went to St.Regis Mauritius with my wife for our first wedding anniversary – it was planned to be like a second honeymoon, and it definitely was an incredible stay. The hotel is very nice and quite – perfect for honeymooners. Also the food and drinks are quite good. But what trumped everything was the STAFF. The hotel staff are more than accommodating and helpful. They were trying their best to serve/help us in whatever means possible. If you're looking to be treated like a very special guest, this the hotel for you. The hotel is also located on a long stretch of a beautiful beach with the breath-taking view of the famous Le Morne mountain. Definitely recommended.

Perfect Paradise Honeymoon

We went for 6 nights for our honeymoon at the end of July. We did quite a bit of research to try and pick the perfect resort for our honeymoon and we were not disappointed. There was a touch of rain on our first day but then the weather gradually improved to a perfect mid-20's. We went for half board which was probably one of the best decisions we made as the food would otherwise be pricey. With half board you get to have a massive breakfast buffet every morning and dinner each night at one of the 5 restaurants. At 4 of the restaurants, almost all of the food is included in the half board so you only pay for drinks. One of the restaurants the half board only gives you 25% off. The overall food and restaurant quality was excellent. The highlight of the St Regis is its staff. Best I've ever come across. Friendly, smiley, helpful. Remember your name. They will always accomodate to your needs. The room was very clean and well maintained. The only slight issue was that the pillows had a slightly strange smell and this persisted even when the covers were changed. But otherwise the room was perfect with breath-taking ocean views (we went for junior suite). Almost all of the water sports are inclusive. There is a cinema and games room with pool, table tennis and billiards. There is a spa, gym and tennis court. So excellent facilities. Overall, we had a perfect paradise honeymoon and were sad to leave after only 6 nights. Highly recommended...Thank you to all the staff!

Luxury hotel where all your needs will be met.

Stayed at the St Regis for our honeymoon and made St Regis aware at booking. They made sure throughout that we had an experience that was more than just a normal stay with daily treats and suprise Mauritian meals and champagne. St Regis pride themselves in their butler service and its top class. All your needs will be catered for by the butler and nothing is too much trouble without the service prying into your privacy. All rooms are less than 50m from the private beach and the complimentary watersports centre activities ensure you're relaxing break is filled up with plenty of things to keep you entertained.

The most wonderful staff in a stunning location!

I spent 10 days at the St Regis in Mauritius and I can honestly say I will remember them forever. I travelled alone as a female as I needed a break from the hustle and bustle of a busy couple of years and I spent a long time researching places to go, and hotels to stay at as, for me, this was going to be a once in a lifetime experience. I was not disappointed. To say the St Regis tries to ensure you a home away from home is an understatement. The facilities are wonderful, the food is absolutely amazing in all the restaurants (I went for the half board option - if you're doing the watersports during the day I may suggest the full board as you will be hungry by lunchtime!!) the location is stunning, the room was wonderful (I went for the deluxe garden room and I loved it as it more secluded than the beach front rooms as nobody walked past and I loved listening and watching the birds during the day!!) the Butler service was an absolute treat - whatever you needed they could arrange it for you, and the watersports on offer, including EasyDive, who offered full PADI diving courses right on your doorstep made this holiday one I'll treasure for a long time. Most of all however, without exception, it is the staff who work at the St regis that really made this holiday for me. I found them all to be extremely kind, considerate, professional, witty, spontaneous, respectful and above all, human - with a wicked sense of humour ;) Thank you each and every one of you.

High class resort

Overall this is a fantastic resort and I would recommend it for a high class stay. Pros: - Amazing huge beachfront suites, very comfortable with really nice toiletries. - Fantastic Butler service (Ravi was great) - Brilliant staff (high staff to guest ratio), all very friendly and accomodating. - World class restaurants (Simply India, Le Manior, Floating Market) would be premier restaurants in London or New York. Met all the chefs. Outstanding and the highlight of our trip. Recommend half board. Cons: - Beach was very sharp and sea was full of seaweed. In addition, lots of people walking on the beach so not that peaceful. - Was easy to get lots of sand inside the room. Suggestion to have some water prior to the balcony for cleaning feet etc - Cost is high for everything but maybe expected - Only one main pool which wasn't heated...was icy cold. For the price, you would expect temperature controlled and a separate adults only pool. I asked and was told that the pool could not be heated. The designer could have created an infinity pool but the design was a bit lacking in this respect. There was one other small pool but access was difficult and it's wasn't great. - The entrance to the hotel lacks a certain wow factor but the room makes up for it. - Breakfast, whilst good, got very busy and was the same every day. - TV didn't work well, kept freezing

St. Regis in Mauritius a superb place to relax

The hotel is excellent and it is located in a superb location in Le Morne. My family and myslef appreciated the kindness/service and professionalism of the entire staff, their warm welcome, the marvellous coral reef and the wonderful gardens in St. Regis area. If you go to Mauritius and want do a unique relaxing experience book at the St. Regis. The only advice/remark for the Hotel management is to change the menu of the restaurants on a daily basis...

Quiet Beach Break.

It was a mixed experience at the St Regis Mauritius. We arrived to the hotel after sunset. Our initial welcome was focused on us showing conformation of our room booking and being taken to the wrong room initially! When we did arrive at our room there was a strong musky smell which was only resolved by our butler opening the balcony doors. Thankfully the smell cleared after about 12 hours. I was very impressed next morning exploring the hotel with my wife. Great gym, quiet library, games room and a cinema. The beach was clean, lots of space and many sun beds to choose from. Good choice of restaurants and the quality of food was good.

Beautiful hotel but the service lets it down.

The room was not ready for check in at 3pm and had to wait until 5pm before getting into the room. Was left sitting in reception not knowing the cause of the delay. Was told by the manager the hotel was full and they had a lot of late check outs. I'm not sure how a 5-star hotel can get this wrong. Most guests have travelled 24 hours to get to Mauritius and just want to get to their room when they arrive. The manager did however offer 2 complimentary dinners to compensate. There are staff everywhere you turn, obviously most of them are training and it shows, requests such as asking for butter or coffee at breakfast could seem complex. The butler service is a bit sporadic, at one point the room was stacked with 15 towels all sizes and 10 bottles of water, but no clean cups or glasses and had to ask a few times for these. For this hotel to truly live up to its 5 star rating the staff need more training. The food was disappointing , the buffet was one of the worst I'd ever had. At 8.30pm the food looked like it had been sitting out for hours, was lukewarm and really dried out. The choice was poor and the desserts were stale and tasteless. Definitely not worth the outrageous €60 per person. On the positive side the beach is quiet and spacious, the beach cocktail bar is nice though usually there were only 1 or 2 people there. Early morning yoga on the beach was also a great way to start the day. The room was superb, clean and nice sea view.

Amazing Luxury, beautiful beach, great staff

My wife and visit for a long weekend to celebrate our Anniversary. We stay in one of the Beachfront suites and the view of the ocean was incredible. The resort was amazing. 5 restaurants, great staff, most of the beach activities are free. The food is a little pricey, but still very good. Even room service is about $40/person. The resort was amazing. We'd definitely stay there again if we find ourselves in Mauritius. The one complaint we had was that the beach sand has a ton of sharp shells so it's not very comfortable to walk barefoot. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Beautiful, secluded getaway

The location can't be beat. The beach is well kept and the ocean depth is ~ 4ft and swim-able. The staff is welcoming and professional. Check-in was a little delayed, but otherwise, the experience was fantastic. The resort offers a great variety of activities.

Great Resort On the Beach

Stayed 5 nights here in late April for our 1st wedding anniversary, weather was great, sunny & hot bar a few tropical showers. Room was a good size with large bathroom, staff were really friendly & helpful. Price at restaurants were a bit high and they could do with more food options (maybe reduce size of library and add one here) The use of the spa facilities for free was good (steam room, sauna, jaccuzi etc) Gym was a good size but maybe sell pre workout & protein. Bikes for free was a good idea. beach was a bit hard to swim in due to coral and shallow but great for snorkelling. Beach was coral not sand so would suggest to wear shoes when walking along beach.

Hotel was stunningly beautiful and sunsets are to die for. Service could be better. Best to rent a car so you have dining options outside. Taxis are ridiculously expensive. Breakfast was fantastic; otherwise our dining experiences within hotel restaurants were disappointing n overpriced. Half board is the way to go for value for money.

Worth a second visit if improved

Beautiful hotel. New & clean. Great service generally. Booked room & breakfast online with good value for money. Nice amenities - pool, beach front bar, gym, reading room & drawing room. Beach front, But fixtures are fragile - bedside lamp is broken, sink overhead halogen not working, drawer handle broken, slow drain off of water in sink. Restaurant food are exorbitant - 4 times that of a restaurant in town.Large extra charges for tennis court & cinema (screening of not so recent blockbusters) disappointing. Buffet breakfast is great but identical menu & presentation everyday is absolutely boring. The countless houseflies on the pastries & breads, fruits, food, tables, us are a huge hygiene concern. Hotel taxi service very expensive - 7 USD for 2 km drive in 2 mins - please hire a car.

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The thing that made the stay the most memorable and enjoyable was the staff. They were outstanding and truly what made the visit for us. If you are lucky enough to have Archi looking after you then you will understand, nothing was too much trouble and he was incredibly friendly and helpful. We were very sad to leave and hope we are lucky enough to be able to stay again.

Just Amazing

We booked for a summer break (from the Dubai heat) and were joined by friends. We anticipated getting bored and travelling out to see things outside the hotel after a few days. Besides a few games of golf at the neighboring Paradis course (fantastic) we didn't leave the hotel at all. There are so many things to do and such a variety of restaurants. The food is excellent. They have a great kids club. The beach is beautiful and well protected in the windiest of seasons. Staff go out of there way to make the stay a pleasure. We had an amazing time! One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. Will definitely be back!!!

Awesome Resort, Fantastic Beach & Hotel Facilities

1 week stay, honeymoon. Lush breakfast, excellent Spa facilities, dreamy beach & lagoon. Reef & fish for snorkeling are only a couple of metres away from the Beach in the lagoon. There's plenty on the resort to keep you occupied, as at somepoint it will rain, so it's good to not just be confined to the hotel room. You can spend your holiday easily in the resort if you want. If you want to hop around the island, the location is a bit remote. But the Morne peninsula is worth it, having stayed on other areas of the island, I would rather go here, and have a more twisty journey on the road, knowing I have such an awesome beach/lagoon & hotel at the end. It's worth it. I give the hotel (& location) 9.5/10.

Totally relaxing and an ideal holiday away from the routine hustle bustle. Great service, warm and friendly and proactive staff. Enjoyed the yoga session and the clean beaches. Restaurants a little overpriced, considering there is no other option nearby. But the food was lip smacking. All in all a wonderful experience.

We had a good time at St Regis mauritius. Every aspect of the property was good viz rooms, cleanliness, service, view etc etc. Only drawback is it is located in the south west isolated from anything else in mauritius

Perfect Location in Mauritius

The location of the hotel is perfect. The West Side of the island has much better weather than the East in the winter season. The West is quite windy (where Four Seasons is). I got a pretty cheap price, less than 300 dollars a night and that was fantastic value. The beach is huge and beautiful. The views are superb. Breakfast is very good, but I have had better. The water is wonderful for swimming and snorkeling. There are two pools, a spa and gym. Wifi is not super fast, but free, and good enough for Skype calls. The rooms are big and very good quality. The on-site restaurants are over-priced and the service is not all that it could be. There were some problems during the trip, but I put that down to it being a new hotel and the staff needing a little more training.

We LOVE the St. Regis Mauritius

We stayed at the St. Regis Mauritius for our honeymoon and we loved every minute! The room, restaurants and the facilities were all beautiful and impeccably appointed. The Iridium Spa is one of the nicest spas I've ever been to (and I am a spa goer)! I highly recommend getting a spa treatment. The staff was over the top accommodating, nice and helpful. If you have the opportunity to go to Mauritius, I would book the St. Regis. We considered the Four Seasons, but I am so delighted we chose the St. Regis! The St. Regis Mauritius was pure heaven! I hope I can go back some day ... it is truly worth the 24+ hours travel time to get there!

Nice hotel with Poor services

We stayed at another hotel then stayed at St Regis for 5 nights. We have been staying at different brands of SPG, this is the first time for St. Regis but the experience is too horrible that we will never go back again. First night we discovered that there was a reading light which couldn't turn off, we asked for sb came over. But after an hour, no one showed up. We called again, then sb showed up. He then ran off for another person for help. The maintenance came over n turned it off and came back to fix the next day. We needed to call again next day however, they forgot. Moreover, the housekeeping didn't come. We had to call three times. We don't know it's because that hotel is lack of people or other reasons, they need very long time to process each request. Moreover, not everyone was nice there. The food is very inconsistent. First night we order in, no bread was served, we thought that it was their habit. But the other night, the bread came along with the food. We have ordered the same salad for three nights, but the dish suddenly became small the second time. The beach is very beautiful, we enjoy the drinks and food at the lounge beside the beach. Probably we won't stay at any St. Regis hotel anymore. If going to Mauritius, we recommend you to stay at other hotels. Esp the one we stayed for the first three nights, we searched at a famous website for travel, it ranks No.1. The price we paid is the same as St. Regis, but definitely worth it.
