Wonderful hotel!

Breakfast is excellent. Laundry machine is not enough that you need to wait for a long queue. Check out time at 10:00 is too early. All guests check out near 10:00 that you can’t wait a lift to go down.

All Via Inn hotels are amazing! The price is reasonable and the amenities are just right: Pajamas, TV, coffee, tea, toothbrushes, self-service laundry, (some hotels also offer) onsen, etc.

Just steps from the station

Fantastic hotel just 2-3 minutes walk from the station. Hotel was clean, comfortable and the rooms of good size. Buffet breakfast had a great selection and the coffee was hot and strong. Would definitely stay again.

Very economical option especially for solo traveler planning to spend most of the day to explore Kyoto. The room is compact but has everything you need! I honestly prefer it like this, so minimum waste and good for the environment. Most importantly, it is super close to Kyoto station and the Avanti mall where you can easily take the bus to KIX airport. If I were to travel solo again in Kyoto, I would definitely consider to book again!

Great hotel conveniently located near Kyoto Station. Very clean , buffet breakfast was great which was not expensive. Close to shopping malls and historic places.

There is a lot that is mechanized around check in and check out, and I would say that staff are not particularly welcoming. Perhaps more focused on efficiency than on people ? Great proximity to Kyoto station, however.

Closed to everything

The staff are very nice and accommodating, could improve in English, but they are still quite good at it. Walking distance of the train station, and many nice restaurants.

The location of this hotel was very convenient, walking distance from Kyoto station. It has a 7/11 on the ground floor as well! The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast buffet was also pretty good.

Wonderful stay

I believe they remodel the hotel, everything is pretty fresh. Wonderful location right next to kyoto station. Like the interior design, simple but with smart space design. I basically check in n out myself. Not much to tell about the staffs.

Location

Conveniently located next to Kyoto station, on the less busy side. Restaurants are limited on this side of the station, but the 2 facing the station (1 bbq and 1 ramen next to each other) are both superb. More food options can be found in Kyoto station, or just go over to the other side of the station, and there's lots of food. Hotel is great, standard business hotel.

Spacious bed rooms, and great location

Close to Kyoto station Shinkansen exit. Seven eleven in the same building as the hotel. Hotel breakfast was terrific with lots of Kyoto specialities to choose from, as well as Western breakfast food. Room was very clean. Very convenient for traveling around the city as we could hop on several busses or the subway at the station.

The accommodation is clean and the service is good. The location is convenient by Kyoto Station, restaurants and shops.

Great vreakfast

Super convenient, one block from the Shinkansen entrance to Kyoto station. Relatively new. Clean rooms, pleasant staff. There is a convenience store just around the corner. Choose an outside room, as there are some inside rooms that have no view.

No bottle of water in the room. Staff told me go to seven eleven to get water. Lobby looks like warehouse.

Excellent Hotel Overall

It was an amazing stay in Kyoto at this hotel. Great value for the money as this hotel is located just a couple of blocks from the Kyoto Station and easily accessible. The rooms are very large and comfortable and provided with all required amenities. I would most definitely return there and recommend to everyone.

Very modern hotel with easy access to Kyoto station. The 7-11 connected to the hotel was an added convenience! Many elevators for quick access to the rooms and an area to lock your luggage for free (just in case you arrive a bit early before your check in). Would return!

A comfortable hotel in a ultra convenient location

The room was very comfortable, compact and well designed. The table was high enough to eat from, very convenient. So close to the station and bus stop so getting around was fast and easy. Added bonus of having a 7-11 downstairs. Superb location!

The staff and property itself were very good. The location is very convenient to Kyoto train station. My only reason for not giving 5 stars all around is for very uncomfortable mattresses and pillows.

Absolutely loved my stay here. Was convenient next to Kyoto Station. They held my bags until check in. Room was a very good size (as a solo traveller). Unlimited tea and amenities available. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Everything was very clean. Good wifi. Nice big desk. Had a safe. Would stay here again.

Great hotel right next to the station, so easy to access everywhere in Kyoto and trips to Osaka etc. Hotel room was very comfortable, clean, quiet. Laundry facilities were very handy as well. Would stay here again for sure, although the area is farther from restaurants/shops and attractions.

We have stayed at this hotel in November 2023 and October 2024. The location is perfect as it's literally a 2 minute walk from Kyoto Station. The beds are super comfortable and you'll have no issues sleeping through the night after exploring Kyoto.

Great hotel for access to public transport

I really nice place to stay with easy access to trains and subway which you need to cover such a large city as Kyoto. The room was very comfortable with lots of space.

I loved this property, spacious room, bathroom and shower room, one block away from Kyoto station, next time I'm in Kyoto again I'm definitely staying here.

Very comfortable and modern hotel within easy walking distance of JR Kyoto Station. Fantastic breakfast offering of Japanese and Western foods (surcharge).

Room was clean, large and suitable for our family of 4, including children (2 and 5 yo). Would recommend staying here.

Staff doesn’t speak English, must go to a machine at checkin/out to pay a tax and get room number. Strict 3 pm check in time . Problems trying to extend stay one night. Room view is of other room windows so must keep curtain closed for privacy.

Excellent hotel about 3 minute walk from Kyoto train station. Large room and beds. Great bathroom with large wet room and bath, loads of hot water and very clean. Need to catch the underground or buses (very easy) from train station to get to the imperial palace and all the other major attractions. Great location for getting everywhere by public transport. Would recommend.

This hotel is so conveniently located near Kyoto Station. Checkin and checkout was fast and automated. The hotel breakfast was one of the best we have had on this trip. The shower and bathtub was spacious and luxurious. Fantastic hotel.

Surprised how nice it is considering the price . The rooms are much bigger than for example APA hotel. There was even a sofa in front of the TV. The TV had instructions in English how to do cast or mirroring. The place smell was very fresh and pleasant / good ventilation. Will definitely come back

Very neat, tidy, clean. Excellent location near Kyoto station, but not noisy. Check-in strictly at 3:00pm, not possible for early check in.

Great for couples travelling using public transport. Very convenient location and buffet breakfast variety is quite good. Check in/put process is straight forward via the self serve machines. My only complaint is the parking arrangements. The instructions on their website is confusing. Language resets to Japanese even when you’ve selected English on previous page. Instructions on the translated page is also misleading. If you choose to use their parking option it is via the basement parking for the Avanti building complex. Google maps will get you there but there is no English signs to the entrance. We decided to drop off the luggage in front of the hotel and then park as you would need to make your way out of the Avanti building then walk to the hotel on the next block. There is no easy drop off or pick up point for this hotel either. The parking discount only applies from 4pm to 9am the next day so if you arrive or depart outside of those times you need to pay the normal rate which is very expensive. Paid ¥1800 for 2hrs then re-entered after 4pm as advised by the front staff but this was unnecessary as the Max rate per day is ¥3000 so you’re better off looking for the smaller parking spaces around the block for ¥1000 max rate per day. For a 2 night stay we spent an equivalent of 1 nights accommodation which is a hard lesson to learn when driving a rental car. The affordable price means the deluxe room with double beds are quite small especially if sharing with children.

Not the best stay

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days (as part of our 3-week trip to Japan). Check-in was fast and easy and the associates at the front desk were friendly and polite. We do not speak Japanese, but this was not an issue. The hotel is within walking distance to Kyoto station, convenience stores, restaurants and shops, which was very convenient. The hotel lobby was beautiful, but the room itself was incredibly small (even smaller than the hotels we stayed at in Tokyo) and was not in the best condition (musty smell in room/hallways, a layer of dust on the carpet under the bed which I assume had never been vacuumed because of the low height of the bed, scratches/stains on the walls, etc.). Our hotel room was adjacent to a highway on-ramp, so it was difficult to sleep at night. I would not recommend this hotel.
