The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beachfront was very rough and only have small areas that were conducive to swimming etc because of seaweeds. The nightly entertainment was very good.
We had a nice stay. Staff were very friendly and nice. Concierge service was helpful and responded to questions in a timely manner and very professionally. My elderly parent’s room didn’t have a shower, just a bathtub - which was really odd. They had to switch rooms. Concierge helped with getting a room for the following day. Disappointed that the kids area was under renovation without any warning. There’s basically no food available after 9:30pm. You have to order room service, which is $10 USD each time - which we found very inconvenient and surprising. The jerk chicken on the beach was good until we were served partially cooked chicken on two different occasions, which was disappointing to say the least. Food was good otherwise - JamMex, Hibachi and just regular lunch were our favourites. The views are pretty, the beach is nice as well. The resort is very quiet. My daughter loved the nightly shows - performances were great!

Our Spa treatments were phenomenal! The property was not as large as some of the other properties we've visited in Jamaica but it was gorgeous just like the pictures. Great food entertainment and staff. A fabulous holiday. Our butler Lennox was truly outstanding!

I visit this resort a couple of years ago and the upkeep was so much better last visit. So were the food options. The buffet doesn’t stay open all day, and from 2:30 till six you only have room service and a grill for food options. Our butler never came to our room, so on day three we had to request a sheet exchange. Customer service was excellent though and we had a really nice time.
It is a wonderful, well-maintained property with a friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and basic. The bed was comfortable. The food was good but the jerk chicken cooked on the beach was delicious.

Liked: Friendly, genuine, helpful staff. Good food at Waves restaurant and good variety of American and Jamaican food at the Breakfast Buffet. Hated: Total lack of accessibility: you will not be able to get around easily on crutches, it would be impossible in a wheelchair, and forget about an elderly person with, for example, a walker! There is NO accommodation for the physically challenged. Secondly, there is a problem with not enough seating in restaurants at dinner time. There is no clear policy: is it that you have to make a reservation or is it first come first served? We were told the latter but had to wait almost an hour (45 minutes) to be seated, even though we were the FIRST to arrive. Very frustrating experience.

Everything about the property was GREAT.
The staff and service were excellent. Friendly and discreet. They are relaxed but when there are issues they act with a sense of urgency to resolve it immediately. The food was also good. Options for both kids and adults. I especially enjoyed the jerk chicken grilled on the beach, I appreciate the staff who is grilling by the beach all day. We stayed at one of the newly renovated rooms. We are with two kids and the room was spacious and modern. The properly is the perfect size so you don’t need to walk far for anything. There is a gym with weights and cardio machines. Conveniently, there is a juice bar located at the gym with healthy options. I definitely recommend for families with kids.

Limited options for dining and nightlife. The room we had was outdated and lacked any appliances. The staff was exceptional! We honestly did not leave the resort often due to our safety concerns. We also were due a refund on our stay, we didn’t use one of the nights and never received a refund.
The service and people were outstanding. a very nice resort and good value. the pools were a bit cold due to being in the shade if the buildings but the hot tubs and Carribean were awesome for a New Years trip timeframe. Beds were very comfy and food options really good as well.
The resort needs some serious updating. Staff, food, experience excellent.. The beach was also relaxing. I felt safe but additional lights out would be great. The facilities needs a facelift. The furniture in the room was old and the bed was subpar. For two nights I had hot water. They did end up fixing the water issue.. The hote has duo much potential but unless they update the resort it’s my last stay.

They told us they were overbooked and did not give our second room until we really argued with them. It was 7:30 pm by the time they gave us our second room. They knew we needed an extra bed in the room, they did not provide it until the third day of our stay. Overall, horrible experience
We stayed here on our annual girls trip, I am the one that book the trip. I travel to Mexico or Caribbean every other month and l've never had a resort say they were giving you an upgrade only to be given a downgrade. We arrived at hotel and room wasn't ready, we went and ate and came back and they said it wouldn't be ready until 5:00-5:30, since we thought we were getting an upgrade and we needed a ground or first floor we waited and waited. When we finally got called up for our keys I asked him again this is a lst floor and ocean front they assured me again that it was. We get to out building and it was indeed not 1st it was 4th and it was not ocean front. We had all been up since 1:00 am so I knew if we went back we would never get a room so we just stuck with our room. Our air conditioner never worked properly electricity went off. TERRIBLE!!!! With that being said the lobby bar was great and beach waitress were good. Coffee shop girls were so nice to talk with every morning and made excellent coffee! Be careful eating jerk chicken I witness him use same tongs to put meat on drip raw chicken juice across cooked chicken then pick up and put on someone's plate! I didn’t eat the chicken after witnessing that. I wanted to love this resort, but I also wanted the room I paid for.

Property was beautiful! Every staff member was very nice and not asking for tips (even though we tipped everyone who helped us) it was nice for them to not be pushy about it. The food was AMAZING! Even the food at the buffet. We definitely will return next time we decide to travel back to JA. Thank you all for a smooth, safe, & entertaining Christmas vacation.

Booked an ocean front 3 bedroom for my family. On arrival we got a key and were escorted to the room with a parking lot view. We went back up the reception. Minutes later we were told that they “forgot” to tell us oceanfront has AC not working and they can fix it for 2 days… No reasonable compromise offered. We agreed to stay in the “parking lot view” room for two days if they can first show us the empty oceanfront with ac not working. After a lot of whispering and an hour wait the manager that was suppose to come talk to us still did not arrive. The manager miraculously appeared when we asked for refund and a cab so we can move to another hotel. Glad we are not staying here. Save yourself the trouble.

BOOK YOUT STAY HERE! We truly enjoyed our stay at the Jewel Grande and truly didn’t want to leave! At Crickets- Hailie and Dwight were phenomenal! At the Orchids buffet - Tackiesha and others were simply outstanding ! Andre with baggage claim outside th property made sure our things were safe and did such a great job at communicating. Ackeem , spa receptionist as well as Cristal the spa valet , plus our masseuses - Soroyal and Loretta - were a delight! We cannot wait to return !
I think the property needs meaning the building needs to be revamped because of the wear and tears. I also think that it should be easier to get to someone such as your conciurge.. I also was a litt hesitant about the swimming beach ⛱️ areas.
DISSAPOINTING Stay at Jewel Grande Montego Bay I had high expectations for my stay at Jewel Grande Montego Bay, but unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. The experience was disappointing for several reasons: • The water in my room was cold for 4 out of the 5 days of my trip, which was unacceptable for a resort of this caliber. Despite paying $2,200 for my stay, I was only offered a $150 credit for this major inconvenience. • The buffet was only available for breakfast, leaving limited and poor dining options for the rest of the day. Restaurants had makeshift outdoor cooking facilities, which were unusable when it rained. • Bars closed at 1 a.m., and they were not conveniently located in every building, making it inconvenient to enjoy what was supposed to be an all-inclusive experience. • Room service was terrible—an hour-long wait for a salad and burger that was subpar. The burger meat was low-quality, and the Caesar salad lacked Caesar dressing all five nights. • On a positive note, the hotel was clean, and the staff was polite, but this didn’t make up for the overall disappointing experience. The best part of my stay was the view, but for the price, I expected so much more. I cannot recommend Jewel Grande Montego Bay, and I hope they address these issues for future guests.

Food amazing. Close to the airport. Room was beautiful with excellent view. Negatives would be the lack of entertainment/ music. No real gathering space to spend time at outside of the room. Hotel lobby was bland not inviting. Night time activities were non existent. The only thing that was nice was a saxophone player one evening other then that nothing to do or nice places to sit to play cards and a glass of wine. Would not return

Rose Hall in general in a very relaxed area. The first accommodation had hot water issues but we were quickly moved to another villa and the staff didn’t rest until we were comfortable.

I booked this based on the reviews on Hotels.com and was VERY disappointed in the quality of the property. Super run down, in need of a lot of repair (tons of bugs inside the restaurants, missing ceiling tiles, broken doors, broken hot tubs, broken chairs). Seaweed on the beach was raked and never collected so high tide would take it back to the water. The only good thing to eat was the Jerk Chicken they made on the beach which we waited over an hour for. The staff was friendly which is common for Jamacia. This is not a 5-star property. The price does not match what you get.
Overall very good. Cabana service Wilford on the beach made it great, very friendly.

My fiancé and I had an absolutely amazing time at the Jewel Grande Hotel in Jamaica! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and incredible hospitality from the staff. They truly went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The food was exceptional – every meal was fresh, flavorful, and offered plenty of variety to suit all tastes. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, and the entire property was beautifully maintained. Whether we were relaxing by the pool or enjoying the beachfront, everything was perfect. We felt so welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. A huge thank you to the wonderful staff for making our trip so special. We can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway in Jamaica.

First off, let me say it was a photo screensaver. We loved it! The ocean view was everything. The staff were perfect! Everyone greet us with a smile and showed genuine love! The food options were magnificent and available at all times. The night performances and events were family appropriate. The service was prompt and quick. Just because I observe everything, it was only minor things like the up keep on the building and balcony glass and a long full mirror would have been nice. Overall, perfect relaxing stay! Will definitely come again!
My Boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 days and I would rate the property 3/5. Pros: The Ocean Front View Room was beautiful! Definitely one of my favorites rooms out of all the hotel rooms I’ve stayed in. 24 hour room service. Multiple food options. Ample beach chair and sitting areas. Cons: Someone stole my boyfriend $100 personalized crocs and the hotel wouldn’t help us. The housekeeper was extremely rude and unprofessional after we requested to simply have the sheets changed. Bartenders are nice but unable to make specialty cocktails. They tried their best. Service was 50/50. Some people were really nice and others did the bare minimum.
Overall it was a good experience. The staff gets an A , the food gets a B-. The venue gets an A-( power went out. Elevators not working, only one hot tub working, and filled with little kids. Lots of deferred maintenance visable). Taxi service- c ( they took us shopping on Sunday - when almost all shopes were closed. They wanted to walk around with us to insure we shopped at their friends stores.)
Great Experience
Overall, really good resort. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful explaining anything. Food was good overall. I have a few knit-picks, but overall good. The nightly entertainment was fun, but we felt there wasn’t much to do after the 50 minutes of nightly entertainment. We were there 6 nights - after being there a few days it almost felt small. As in, not too much to do. It’s not a complaint, we just relaxed the whole time. But we would have enjoyed it even more if there were more to do in the evenings. I would definitely recommend this to anyone for a 4 night stay. An older couple we spoke with mentioned that they hated you had to take stairs to and from each building, which we didn’t think about. But nothing you can do about that!

horrible stay
We had a horrible experience at this hotel. We arrived at 4:30 PM for check-in, but our room was not ready until 6:30 PM. On the second day, there was NO water and NO power for the elevator until around 9 PM. On the third day, there was NO hot water throughout the entire afternoon, which was only restored by 8 PM. Additionally, there was loud party music that lasted until 12:15 AM, making it impossible to sleep. The Moonstone Restaurant was also understaffed, and despite waiting for 20 minutes, we were unable to get seated. Overall, we were very disappointed with our experience and will not be returning. Let me know if you’d like additional changes or assistance with tone adjustments!
I loved this property! This resort was very private, family friendly, couples friendly. There wasnt much pools but the ones that was there was very cute and demour. The staff was super friendly and understanding. I felt safe. The food was delicious and drinks were on point!. We went on a weekday unfortunately some restaurants were closed. This hotel is also not to far from Mo Bay airport. The scenery was amazing and you can actually pay to have a private dinner on the beach. Speaking of the beach they had a jerk chicken stand there . That jerk chicken was great! I loved this place and will definitely come back.

Overall great. The best landscaping I’ve ever seen. The views were breathless. The people, butlers, including Chantelle, Denton and Ashton were amazing. The restaurants were decent. Initially, we got a room very close to the highway and had a lot of noise, but we were able to switch after a few nights. Make sure to get a room facing the ocean and not close to highway. Did have issues with hot water in the shower from time to time but not terrible . Gym was just OK and could use an upgrade. Spa was very good but fairly expensive. All peope were very friedly. Best Resturant was La bouche steak house . Best salad.

We have stayed here before ( 2 ) times and that's the reason we came back. But this time was not good. We had a problem with hot water. Had to wait for food at 2 different restaurants for an HOUR and we had reservations. The hotel has went under new management and you can tell. Not the same at All. Had you waiting for a table at the bar when there are tables available.Had me wait for 45 minutes for a table for one. And had at least 6 tables open or more so I asked could I get the food to go? I wanted to see how long it would take for a pizza to go? Thats one of the restaurants I waited an hour after waiting 45 minutes for a table. The two young ladies couldn't tell me why the wait was so long? My pizza finally came When the manager seen that I was still waiting. Before if they didn't have what we wanted they would go and get it or find it. But this time we don't have it. The place would be spotless now you can tell. We watched them get a wedding reception together and it was looking so good and they didn't finish the job. The bride and groom was upset and they let them know right then. You spend all that money and you didn't finish???? November 15-19 2024 was the last time at this hotel.

Only stayed one night due to our flight being delayed because of a hurricane. The resort was really nice and spacious. Great night activities and the Italian restaurant was amazing. Staff were all very nice. Would definitely stay again.

Terrible hotel
I recently stayed at this hotel for a wedding, and I was incredibly disappointed. The cleanliness of the hotel was poor—rooms and common areas lacked the attention to detail you’d expect. The service was equally underwhelming, with slow responses to even the simplest requests. While the food was acceptable, the overall experience was lacking, especially considering this was a wedding venue where service should be top-notch. The bar was consistently out of basic ingredients, including mint, which meant no mojitos or similar drinks. For a hotel in a tourist area, this was shocking. I've traveled extensively across the Caribbean, and unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you’re looking for quality or reliability.
Has all the hallmarks for greatness, however… - Our butlers’ communication style was robotic and therefore we didn’t build the rapport we previously had, with Garcon, when we stayed here 18months ago. - Entertainment team were not as proactive in gathering people to join in activities as the spa team (more about that later). We had to keep asking as some activities were scheduled but not happening. However, thanks and recognition must go to *Jermain, who built a good rapport with our teens. Genuine friendship formed - they’ll miss him. He’s a a star! - The spa is so pricey it’s off putting. If they just dropped their prices a bit, the staff wouldn’t have to spend more time canvassing for business than they do actually doing spa treatments. Special mention must also go to Shana - she knew our entire family by name and what our favourite drinks were. Such a happy soul!
It would be nice if you updated the condition of the building, it’s outdated. Checking in was a night mare. Although we arrived at 2 pm but our room was not ready, and we had to wait 2.5 hours. That is inconvenient after a very long flight.

Very beautiful property. I have no complaints except for the room service for food. Takes at least an hour. Get the butler service if it’s an option, they help you out with everything. The food was amazing, the liquor on point and the views just breath taking. We will be back!
(Do Not Recommend) Check-In Process: Entrance is poorly lit, very dark. Arrived for check-in at 2 PM; informed that the room wasn't ready (understandable as check-in is at 4 PM). Front desk staff indicated that the two-bed beachfront room we booked was unavailable due to a water issue. Offered a supposedly "upgraded" room on the 8th floor, which overlooked a noisy main road and party scene, rather than the beach. Even after not providing the room we booked, we received our room at 4:45 PM. Front desk staff were indifferent, showing no concern for our tiredness or the kids; their attitude was unprofessional, as they merely stated, "We’ll let you know when it’s ready." Returned at 4 PM to complete check-in; given a key but instructed to return for the room number. Confusing key programming process; staff was rude and unprofessional, offering no options for room selection. Room Condition: Room was outdated and poorly maintained. Noisy fans; air conditioning took a long time to cool the room. 8th-floor area was dirty, dusty, and lacked cleanliness. Elevator was slow and unsettling. Restaurant Experience: No information provided about restaurant hours or reservations; had to figure it out on our own. Limited dining options; lunch buffet was the primary choice. Breakfast was decent; lunch was good. For dinner, told reservations weren't needed, but upon arrival, we were asked to wait or make a reservation. Not Impressed
Service was seriously lacking! Villa was not prepped with utensils, plates, mugs etc for 6 guests. Took 2-3 hours to get food orders. Waited 1.5 hours for jerk chicken on the beach. Location of villa was convenient, beach was nice. No pool table as in images. It was off season, and very clear the B crew was on duty.

The staff here are beyond sweet and ready to help. The dining was ok- it promised 10 restaurants but you need to make reservations for almost all and they are not all open daily. I think there are only 6 restaurants to eat which serve the same food daily except for the buffet
Our stay at Jewel was good but there are def improvements that need to be made. The good: -They called me days ahead and made sure to check in and ask if anything was needed and if I had any questions. -Check-in and out was very smooth -The steak house! - The breakfast options -The bar options and staff -The beach was very accessible and the staff assisting with food orders were amazing.. especially one young lady and I wish I got her name. - The dj on Tuesday night from 10-12 - The dj and young lady doing the family game night The bad: -The beach needs cleaning and has no motorized activity options. -The floors in the room and shower felt terrible! -The Italian restaurant with the exception of that bruschetta ! I got the Caesar salad which was bitter and the croutons tasted old. The chicken Alfredo was good but I didn’t get any chicken. -The amount of shuttle buses because one is just not enough. -There needs to be a digital option for finding food and entertainment information I wish I knew where to get a good coffee but overall I would return and recommend to friends. I think these are small adjustments that can easily be done. The staff was amazing overall and made sure they accommodated our needs.
