Staff is excellent. They tried their best to keep it up. But property condition is poor. Not enough facilities. They claim beach to their sister hotel but you have to pay for everything there even for your drinks. Jay Belvedere staff is terrible. Don’t recommend this hotel.

WORTH A STAY

Jaz sharks bay was a great hotel really nice food and facilities and wonderful staff.The only negative was that there are no guest lifts so if you have mobility issues it could be worth considering somewhere else. But for me I loved it

Good customer service, nice and clean pool, nice gardens and that's all positives. Bad food, music very monotonous and too loud. We booked this hotel to have a relaxing holiday but the music was disturbing. Rooms weren't clean enough and the bathroom stank. We couldn't eat in the hotel anymore (we booked all inc) after two days (we spent a week there) as we felt unwell. We had to eat out.

Fake location

The hotel is good, service and staff also good but there is a big problem we face with it that hotel location appears on Hotels.com Website looks it`s front beach but actually it is so far from beach. because of that We forced to amend our reservation from 4 nights to 1 night without any compensation from any side and we loss our trip and back home early. so thanks for both (Hotels.com and property)

Great Vacation

comfy & cozy hotel, tasty & delicious food, very fast check in & out, very polit, professional & friendly stuff, the rooms were a little bit outdated and needs renovations but still comfy, Taxi services is extremely expensive at the hotel, I'm not recommending it to anyone, just go out of the hotel and take a taxi by your own. the beach was far away, from the hotel but there was a free shuttle bus, during the day, so it was no problem, overall, it was a great family vacation, we had a lot of fun

I would not recommend this property, it wasn’t a good experience or what I expected. Even though the Hotel was practically empty or perhaps because of it, the staff was slow and not very efficient often looking confused and disinterested. Language was a problem. The food was well below standard, nothing fresh or any healthy options. The pool was very clean, the animation staff was excellent. Housekeeping excellent. I guess you get what you pay for. But I would try somewhere else next time.

We were not impressed with our room, had a problem with the bathroom, the staff tried to help but it took a long time eventually fixed it, the room itself was underwhelming, Also what threw us off was that we wanted a taxi for the airport in the morning but they refused to call us a taxi and just offered the limo service which we didn't want and was more expensive than regular taxi. Won't stay there again.

So bad staff they are all unprofessional. Food and drinks are awful. Taxi driver of hotel had a very bad attitude. The resort is very uncomfortable, I don't recommend it to any one ,other than if you want to throw your money and have your worset holiday.

Great hotel, just not for snorkeling

Solid hotel - room is nice, pool is nice. Has a pool table and ping pong table. Food was quite good and I liked how they had the 3 timeslots for buffet but also an on demand snack menu in the afternoon in case you missed lunch. Bar has great drinks as well and is included. Only downside I can say is beach is about a 10 minute shuttle away, at the beach you have no access to amenities and I found the reef very lackluster compared to other spots in Sharm.

Food was okay- same selection everyday. Staff was condescending. Room wasn’t very comfortable. Paint was actively flaking off everything. Pool was well kept. Visited during COP and price was exorbitant- like every hotel in Sharm. Small hotel and it was very confining to not be able to move freely.

Do not stay at this hotel. The travel desk is crooked and you will be overcharged. Taxis in the street are $3 and the hotel taxis are $20. The front desk will rip you off. They charged over $300 for something that Expedia has at $67. I travel extensively all over the world. This hotel should be avoided at all costs.

MODEST

MODEST is thr perfect description of this tiny hotel. It’s too far from the coast; it’s on the main road. Rooms are so small, but clean. Food is so frugal, made only for the ten guests in it. The hotel is only a swimming pool with some rooms circling it, plain and simple for the price. There’s no animation, actually nothing. It’s perfect for older people.

The staff at this property was amazing - so my three star review has nothing to do with them. During my stay, I quickly found that I was one of a handful of guests staying at the resort and rarely saw another individual the four days I was there. This as ok as I spent most of my time out scuba diving, but I definitely missed getting to know other travelers at the bar at nights. Also, this hotel is kind of out on its own, away from everything which makes it hard to just walk to places. Again, great food and staff, but I would look to stay somewhere closer to the water and other people next time.

Great value hotel but dissapointing on some points

Deluxe Queen Room Room cleaner always helpful and kept room spotless throughout stay. Air Con. Free! Safety deposit box free! Downside, WIFI at high cost. Mini bar also at charge. Food at all times was of good variety and quality. Downside being poor selection and quality of drinks. 1 beer, list of full sugar cocktails that all tasted the same, coffee and tea all vended. Location although close to the airport there was no where to go within walking distance, all activities had to go by taxi or prebooked excursion. The hotel offered a free hourly transfer to its sister beach hotel 5* Jazz Belvedere. This was lovely and a nice change however we were told off for using the hotels pool and sunbeds and asked to use the beach only. The beach bar could be used for free when showing the all inclusive wrist band provided only local soft drinks were to be had. Food and soft drinks also free at the sister hotels pool bar, this was great. Hotels entertainment, basic, running a similar program everyday. Things to do in the hotel limited. Verdict For value, food, cleanliness and staff I would go back but the biggest drawbacks being location and lack of things to do and poor quality of drinks, I wont be visiting again. We stayed a week and it was enough. We cannot thank the hotel staff enough for such an enjoyable stay but our issues could not be aided by them. Just thankful we didn't have kids as the lack of things to do would have caused an issue.

Very friendly and enjoyable holiday

Excellent value for money. Staff couldn't do enough for you which made our stay even more enjoyable. The food was lovely and there was a good variety. Additional access to their sister hotel meant we could enjoy the beach and have a break from just the pool. More than one week was needed to enjoy everything on offer at Sharm al sheikh. Trips undertaken organised by the hotel was thoroughly enjoyed and very memorable.

Friendly hotel with excellent food

We have just returned from a great 2 weeks in sharm staying at this hotel over Xmas and new year. Can't fault the food or service one bit. There's a free shuttle bus to the sister hotel which is on the beach and you can snorkel there. A snorkel trip out to Tiran Island arranged by the hotel costed around £32 each and was well worth it. We really enjoyed our stay at the sol y mar.

Awesome staff!

I stayed at this hotel with my 25 year old daughter in October 2013. We stayed all inclusive and had a fabulous time.The food was good with an enjoyable variety. The pool area is lovely with ample beds and towels. The entertainment at the pool was just right for us: one or two games in the morning and another one mid afternoon. During our stay the clientele were predominantly English consisting of lots of 25 to 35 year olds; mainly couples rather than groups of singletons. Of course, there were older people there, including myself, but one can not guarantee who is going to be there when you arrive. The hotel managed to adapt their entertainment in the evening to suit everyone and it was lovely to see everyone catered for. The room was adequate and whilst it wasn't spotlessly clean I didn't feel uncomfortable and certainly felt no need to complain. We did have quite a good room rate though and I think that if I had paid the price some people had my review would be somewhat different. My final mention has to go to the staff who are all outstanding.

The food here is better than other all inclusive hotels where I have stayed at this price level. The beach at the Belvedere was very good as well. The shuttle to the Belvedere was reliable. Property is isolated. Need to take a taxi or local van everywhere.

It's like an island with no beach

Great if you just want to hang out at an all exclusive resort. However it is hard and expensive to get off the resort. It is not walking distance to anything and Internet is ridiculously expensive. Excursions booked out of the hotel are more as they have no competition being far from everything. Rooms are clean and the rooms are comfortable. The food and drinks are great and for an all inclusive it is a very good price. Some staff are pushy asking for tips which is off putting.

Do not stay here

Ants in room. Flies in room. Room service takes 2 hours for a simple pizza. Mayonese is extra charge. When you check out, make sure you have all the key cards an towel cards else they will charge you. There is no night manager and if u want to see the day manager, enjoy the wait. When you arrive at te hotel, your bags are just sitting at the entrance. No one cares to bring them in. Hardly and stuff speak English. Stray cats roaming on premises. Avoid at all costs.

The best all-inclusive in Sharm!

My husband and I stayed at Sol Y Mar over the Christmas Break for 5 days, and it was one of the best resort holidays we have had in Egypt. The staff at this hotel are amazing! They are so helpful and friendly, every one of them when we were there. The head chef does an absolutely wonderful job with the daily menus. The 3 buffet meals that are served in the restaurant are simply delicious - every night was a surprise. My husband and I would wait in anticipation of our meals, wondering what they would have that night and we were not let down a single night. The lunches tend to be similar each day, but there is a good variety of dishes, both hot and cold. Breakfast is great, too. This hotel is also one of the cleanest that I have been in during my many stays at many hotels in this country. The rooms were nice and still fresh (this hotel was only built in 2009, I think). We had asked for one with direct access to the pool, but upon check-in, they gave us a choice of that room (which we had paid only an extra $3 per night for) or a room on the upper floors. They let us see a room near the pool and I must say, I am glad we went with an upper floor room. The rooms with pool access are the same as the other rooms BUT they are much SMALLER. We were quite comfortable in the room on the upper floor. This hotel is just a 10-minute taxi ride to the main strip in Sharm. The surrounding area is very quiet. I would totally stay here again!

Fantastic Weather, Pool Staff Excelent very freindly loved my lad, Food very Basic and im not fussy,

Hotel location to the Airpor was greatt however with this its stuck out in the middle of nowhere. Pool staff very freindly and in Particular Nebal who Enterained us on many occasions( Thanks Nebal) Food was very basic and if you like Chicken and Beef YOU WILL LOVE THIS. On one morning i went to the Pool side bar for a Tea and i was concerned that there was the remains of a Pisa Dough make and cooked chips in the fat fryer basket, All this was left fromthe night before,The area was crawling with flys, Again Nebal came to the rescue and sorted this issue unnaceptable cleanissness out As this is an All Inclusive Package expect to pay for your Childrens Ice Cream during the day and dont expect too much Ice Cream on your Evening Meal Pudding Day Entertainment was very POOR and the Evening Entertainmaint was even worse ( this did change when the Hotel Director was due to visit the following day on Paper) This Hotelis classed at 3.5 - 4 Star, i have been to may Hotels and i would say that i would struggle to give it a 3 Star rating I will re-vist Egypt again however i will push the boat out and book in for a 5 Star Hotel where im sure the standard will be better

Great Ammenities, not so great staff:0(

First I would like to say that the hotel itself is very nice, the pool was awesome and the rooms were clean and only about a 10 minute drive to Naama Bay. My complaint is no matter how nice a hotel is, what is a hotel without good customer service which was not provided during this short stay. On arrival to the hotel, the reception staff was unable to locate our reservation. After waiting over an hour with no updates, we finally are told the reason as to why they cannot book us in which is they cannot find our reservation. The hotel manager at the time who was nice enough to let us know there were rooms available as long as we were willing to pay a higher second fee for the rooms. Since we had already paid for the rooms we did not see this as a solution. We were offered the choice of making a long distance call to the website which we had made our reservation for a very high fee which was our last resort. After waiting in the lobby for another 2 hours while we waited for a fax and phonecall and no updates, our concerned manager was busy having coffee and not concerned about his irate guests in the lobby area. Once the information was received we were able to get our rooms. By this time we were exhausted and just ready for bed, the manager gave us a free dinner of which the food was very bland tasting. He also gave us an all inclusive bracelet which was not needed since the only thing we needed was access to our rooms sooner. Our package consisted of bed and breakfast and that was all that was used since we were gone from the hotel most of the day for excursions we had booked. On departure from the hotel, once again we were held up with no information because the manager said that they had not received payment which had nothing to do with us. We told him that we had to leave due to we had to catch a flight. I was not pleased at all with the way that we were treated in this situation and as we stood at the desk on check out two more guests came to the desk to complain..never mind we are still waiting for the iron we requested that never came. Once again the hotel was very clean and if you dont care anything about customer service this would be the place to be. Thanks to the assitance of the great staff, this would be a hotel that I would not recommend to family or friends and would never return to again.

Nice rooms, bad customer service

[...] The room looked nice, but my bed had make up stains on the duvet, above the mini bar fridge, the glass shelves had not been dusted. The bathroom was missing glasses. The room safe would not work at all. The hotel does not even have a iron and ironing board. The food in the restaurant doesn't have any flavour. The beds were comfy though. I do not recommend this hotel, pay for a higher price and get better service. If you are used to bad service and sheets with makeup stains, then go with this hotel.

Good for a quiet time at the pool, a bit noisy in the evening entertainment til 12.00

Just of the main 'Peace Road' ideal for us as we rented a car and could easily go to Nama BAy and Old Town (10-15min) where most of the evening entertainment and Tourist gather. The beach 10min drive (or free hotel bus)was good, worth the drive down. The hotel had the usual reps for daily trip bookings and things to do, they were expensive and we booked our trips, Quad bike, horse riding, parasailing, camel rides from Nama bay and saved at least 30%. The tour bus will pick you up from your hotel. The hotel was clean and quiet, the room (family room) was big comfortable and with all the usual facilities, liked it very much. The all inclusive is really important at this hotel as its a long way to anywhere, although you could get the local bus from just outside. The food was o.k - good, if you dont mind the same thing most nights. Would go there again as the hotel price is just right for what you get.

Meget bra

Meget bra hotell. Hyggelig og høflig betjening. Gode utefasiliteter med stort bassengområde. Maten er god. Savnet at resepsjonen ikke hadde kart over området, da plasseringen er " in the middlo of noware". Buss til stranden er flott.

Un paradiso terrestre.

Ho soggiornato al jaz Sharks bay di sharm dal 20 al 27 Novembre 2024 Purtroppo ho prenotato solo 1 settimana, perché avevo letto recensini che dicevano che le camere erano piccole e tutto l hotel era sporco, inoltre il cibo era ripetitivo. Niente di più falso, in 7 giorni, non ho mai mangiato la stessa cosa e tutto era buonissimo, dalla colazione alla cena. In questo hotel E PER LA PRIMA VOLTA IN EGITTO HO MANGIATO I MACARONS BUONISSIMI OLTRE A GAMBERONI ALLA GRIGLIA E FETTINE ALLA GRIGLIA CON COTTURA PERFETTA X NOI ITALIANI. Al nostro arrivo dopo fatto il check in, si è presentato il responsabile della reception Sig Mohamed Ali, parla italiano, ci ha fatto scegliere tra diverse camere, e ci ha detto che per qualunque esigenza potevamo rivolgerci a lui. Il giorno dopo abbiamo conosciuto il direttore generale, Sig Ashraf, anche lui ci ha detto di rivolgersi a lui x qualsiasi problema. Mi ero dimenticata di dire che wifi è veloce e non c'è bisogno di password. Sicuramente noi torneremo presto, e non x una settimana, mino 2 e se possibile oltre. Come ho detto, questo è UN PARADISO TERRESTRE. Ringrazio tutto tutti dal direttore generale Signor Ashraf, al responsabile della recepion Sig mohamed ali e tutto lo staff. GRAZIE E A PRESTO.

Jaz Shark Bay Hotel is een goed hotel. Eén minpunt is de ligging. Er is om het hotel niets te doen. Wil je wat pak een taxi, kan via het hotel. Er is een gratis Shuttlebus naar het strand, die gaat ieder uur. Plus minus 12 minuten. Goed zwembad. Restaurant is ok, zoals we gewend zijn elke dag veel basis gerechten. Met wel wat afwisseling. Alleen het brood kan beter. Voor de rest ok.

Le camere sono un po’ vecchie,la mia tv non funzionava e anche al doccia aveva problemi. Per il resto il personale è gentile,un po’ invadente ma gentile. Non ci sono molte attività da fare in hotel e non offre la navetta gratuita per andare a Naama bay o a old city.
