Entertainment and food were terrific

Overall food was mostly good, some of it was just okay. The drinks were also okay. For the price though we can't complain. The rooms and hotel was very clean and the service was excellent. The swimming pools were nice and clean. The snorkeling on the reef was amazing, highlight of the holiday. For the price that is on offer, the value for money is great. We would definitely not hesitate to visit again.

I went back to the Jaz Lamaya having been 4 times before the covid outbreak, and was pleasantly surprised to see the standards of service and quality of the properties & ameneties were still of a high standard and all the staff very friendly. They also catered for my Gluten Free requirements.

Jaz Lamya is a very nice hotel. The family room with a separate kids room was amazing, traveling with a two year old baby. Staff were beyond excellent and super friendly. Food was also so yummy especially the grill. Corals are beautiful and you can view them from the pier or you can snorkel close to the shore and see the beautiful corals and fish. On the downside, Lamaya is not that near to the sand beach. It’s a 10 min walk. Children are not allowed on the larger Coraya city sand beach so we were stuck in a small area of the beach. We had to walk back to Lamaya every time we needed to use the toilets or get some food or drinks because we were not allowed to use the closer facilities belonging to the other resorts. The Jaz Samaya pool was nice but unusable when there is strong wind as it gets very cold. Jaz Lamaya pool is not well heated and swimming there was not enjoyable. The Jaz kids club was nice, they cook and have nice activities every day but the staff there doesn’t speak Arabic and only very broken English (their Dutch is fine). We stayed 12 days and we were rudely told that we are not welcomed in the aqua park the second time we went there even though we were never told that we are only allowed to go there once in our stay. Which doesn’t make much sense for people staying for longer durations. Overall, I can’t recommend jaz Lamaya. The food was great, the corals and fish were astonishing but the overall experience wasn’t the best.

Nice hotel for the price

Lovely hotel. Great that it has its own dock. Very important as the coral reaches the beach. No beach entry, you must enter the water from a dock. Attendants were efficient. Entertainment was amusing. The hotel room had a nice view of the beach. I would stay here again.

Great place with great service, specially Fady at the reception who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.

Awesome holiday on Red Sea

I stop counting how many times we stayed in this hotel. Actually, we feel at home when we just enter the hotel. Staff are fantastic and food is delicious. Also, Sea is incredible and reef as well.

Perfect luxury hotel

This is a great hotel complex, four hotels set in a large quiet bay,tons of beach beds and shades, all be it the Germans have reserved theirs by 0615 am... I went snorkelling each morning from the jetty and have never seen some many people up!! The snorkelling is amazing, turtles barracuda and billions of fish. Food was fantastic, beer was cold,,great hotel

Was a good family hotel

It is a hotel having clean facility and family friendly, however, due to the high occupancy , they were not coping well. Therefore, there was no personal touch during our stay. When we raised our concern, they were positive about it and eager to make changes. The swimming pools were not heated, we were in another hotel the week before, they had heated pools. But the highlight for our trip are the kids club and the beautiful seashores. You could not go wrong with the red sea . Decent place for snorkeling and diving.

Amazing 5 nigts

we enjoyed our 5 nights stay. The most wonderful part was our time at the beach where you could see amazing reefs and never get exhausted from snorkeling the whole day and also the spa was well equipped Where you could relax after your long day on the beach

Very pleasant and met in every way with our expectations.Liked it so much that the family will be returning to this hotel in July and August of this year. Well done to all. Improvement however is necessary as far as people who "reserve" their Sunbed as early as 6.00am by putting their towel on it. That should be dealt with by the hotel

Fantastic vacation and nice diving reef

Nice hotel with good value of money. Water Aqua Park nearby with free entrance. Good diving center onside and arranging fantastic diving trips either half or full day to unforgattable diving sites such as Dolphin House and Shoa'ab Marsa Alam. It is highly recommended for family vacations and divers.

A very family friendly hotel!

Wow! What a great place! It has a lot of options which is great for a family; water slides, swimming pools (including 2 specific for kids), kids club, nightly disco for kids, etc. The food was also great with many choices. I am a vegetarian and there was always a variety and for my husband (a carnivore) had lots of variety too. We are both runners and really enjoyed the 1.5 km path beside the ocean. The staff were amazing too, genuinely friendly and so helpful. The only issue I would say was that there was not many English speaking kids so that was a bit of a disappointment for our daughter. On the games night they could maybe try and not only speak in German but at least try and accomadate the few English speaking kids.... But other than that little point I would highly, highly, highly recommend it! A big thank you to all the staff!!!

Nice week in Lamaya Resort

The hotel area and buildings are clean and nice looking, rooms are comfortable, food is good, pools are great. We had only one problem during our holiday - it was that I became sick (a sore throat and fever). Anyway, there was a doctor in the hotel, and I got medicine and good care immediately. The beach is not as good as we hoped, but swimming and snorkeling could be done from the pier. There are many activities for those who want them.

Sehr sauber, duchweg sehr gutes Essen (keine Magen-Probleme!) und überragender Service. Sehr schöne Bucht mit Sandstrand und tollem Riff. Klare Weiterempfehlung.

An sich einer der besten Hotels in meinen letzten 15 Reisen. Auswahl zum Frühstück/Abendbrot ausreichend. Mittags gibt es noch das Morgana bzw. Strandbars. Essen im Morgana sehr sehr gut. Personal überwiegend nett, an der Poolbar aber noch ausbaufähig. Hotel ist schon etwas älter und an der ein oder anderen Stelle etwas runter gekommen, gestört hat mich das nicht.

Notre séjour a été gâché par le fait que l'hôtel était situé loin des autres villes et qu'ils ont profité pour appliquer des tarifs exorbitants pour les boutiques services et taxis. La nourriture est cette varié, mais a rendu malade plusieurs personne de l'hôtel. Sinon, la propreté est la, et l'hôtel est familial.

Bettdecke zu dick. Klimaanlage konnte ich nicht anschalten. Es war zu warm. Ansonsten gut.

Leider sehr voll in diesem Jahr, Restaurant im Lamaya war geschlossen. In der ersten Woche war es schwierig einen Platz zu bekommen. Insgesamt hat es uns zum ersten Mal nicht so gut gefallen wie sonst.

Ich war 8 Nächte im Hotel. Innerhalb dieser Zeit wurde der Pool 2x tagsüber für Reinigungsarbeiten gesperrt. Bereits am 2 Abend hatte ich dann eine heftige Magen- und Darmverstimmung. Gut dass ein Arzt im Hotel ansässig ist - dachte ich ... Nach 2 Infusionen und einer Blutabnahme kam dann die böse Überraschung. 1750 Euro sollte ich per Überweisung auf ein belgische Konto zahlen. Die Rechnung sollte ich dann nach einer bestätigten Zahlung ( Screenshot ) erhalten. Völlige Abzocke. Auch eine Rüchsprache mit dem Hotelmanagement, die das ganze dulden, blieb ohne Erfolg. Mehrfache Mails mit Terminvorgaben des Artztes und schriftliche Informationen der Rezeption auf meinem Zimmer verliehen Nachdruck zur Zahlung. Der reinste Phsychterror. Die Patienten standen morgens dort Schlange. Eine " gute" Gelddruckmaschine. Das essen entsprach meiner Meinung nach nicht den angegeben Sternen. Viele undefinierbare Gerichte. Und die angesagte Schonkost kaum zu realisieren. Die Bedienungen waren freundlich, wenn entsprechendes Trinkgeld floss. Für all Inklusive lief die Versorgung jedoch schleppend. Eigentlich ein schönes Hotel mit grossem Pool, den ich dann aber nicht mehr nutzte. Das ständige Animationsprogramm und die Aufforderung dazu war mir zu viel und vor allem zu laut Die Aussenbar ist bei Vollbelegung viel zu klein und die Tische waren schnell belegt.Der "Speisekathedrale" war entsprechend laut. Da das Hotel die Artzabzocke billigt gibt es von mir nur einen Stern ... eigentlich Null

alla reception nessuna persona parla italiano ricordo che è un resort 5 stelle. al ristorante servizio bevande lento ....si finiva di mangiare e ancora dovevano consegnare le bevande. tv con canali solo per russi senza avere una tv in hall per eventi sportivi.........o nella propria camera il mangire eccessivamente speziato non adatto alla cucina italiana

La struttura e' bella con giardini curatissimi e completa di tutto l unica pecca e' il servizio al ristorante alquanto deludente a differenza di tutto il resto

Es hatte zwei Restaurant für das grosse Resort zu wenig.Es war alles sehr sauber .

Nous avons aimé le cadre de l'hôtel et sa propreté. Nous avons aussi aimé le professionnal du club de plongée. A propos du service et du personnel, il y a de grande disparité au niveau du contact. Nous avons eu peu de personne agréable et souriant. A la réception et en général dans l'établissement, nous avons eu des difficultés à nous exprimer. Bien sûr l'allemand et l'anglais est prédominant mais l'italien, français, espagnol quoi si inexistant.

Das Hotel ist sehr gepflegt und sehr schön gelegen. Das Essen ist vatiantenreich und man findet immer etwas gutes. Alle Angestellte sind sehr freundlich und sehr engagiert.

Ideale Destination für einen Tauchurlaub am roten Meer.

Hotel is sehr schön gelegen in einer eigenen Bcht mit tollen Hausriff zum Tauchen und Schnochreln. Flughafen nur 10 Minuten entfernt aber keine Belästigung. Die Fernstrasse für ein Teil der Anlage dann schon eher mal ….je nachdem wie der Wind steht. Aber nichts was einen von einer Buchung abhlten sollte. Das Hotel ist schon in die Jahre gekommen deshalb ist alles nicht mehr so top in Schuss… Möbel hier und da abgestoßen, Klositz auch schon mal etwas gelb, Duscharmatur verkalkt, Handtücher fleckig,...usw. TV ist nix. Nur 3 Sender und die mit permanenter Unterbrechung. Aber braucht man im Urlaub ja eigentlich auch nicht.... Kellner Personal ist meistens sehr bemüht und wenn meine 'seine' Kellner gefunden hat klappt das auch. Gibt aber leider auch eine Menge völlig ungeschulte, lahme und unfreundliche dabei. Essen ist gut, Auswahl auch, ist für jeden etwas zu finden. Animationsteam komplett neu - die waren zu jung und unerfahren. War die letzten Jahre besser. Hotel war ausgebucht - das hat man überall gemerkt. Stoßen dann schon an ihre Grenzen was Sitzplatz und Personalkapazität in den Restaurants und Bars angeht. Oft kein Platz zu kriegen im Außenbereich oder sehr langsamer Service.

Très bon hôtel bien situé, à 5 minutes de l'aéroport, 15 de Port Ghaleb. Belle piscine et surtout la baie avec un magnifique récif de corail facilement accessible pour les plongeurs et les snorkelers (juste dommage qu'il y en ait beaucoup). Le centre de plongée est efficace et a une très bonne offre. Les repas sont variés. En plus, le all-inclusive comprend vraiment tout, y compris les boissons. Dommage que le wi-fi soit un peu faible.
