Nice to have the laundry and outdoor clothesline option as well as a dryer.

Great rooms, very spacious. Owners very helpful and responsive, stored some bags and even some fridge food while we tramped the Queen Charlotte Track.

Comfortable room and excellent location. A/C would have been nice, although we opened the windows and used the provided fan.

Property is a short walk from both ferry terminal and railway station and shops are also nearby. Reception staff was friendly and helpful. Immediate area is quiet at night.

This is not a fancy place, but it had lots of space and a nice little kitchen. We could finally spread out and it was well lit, which is a rarity. Convenient location walking to restaurants, grocery and coffee shops.

The Place to Stay in Picton

Just amazing. If you are travelling from the North Island to the South Island or vice versa, this is probably one of the most PERFECT motels in NZ. Bed super comfy and shower piping hot and eateries and supermarket quite literally a stone's throw away.

Great owners

While the room was a little dated, it was very clean with some attention to detail. A couple blocks from the main tourist area made it quiet and accessible. Owners were most helpful.

Poor customer service

The room was cool on arrival. The heating unit did not turn on. When I complained to the front desk, I was told that at this time of year it would not get very cold and that there was an electric blanket. The electric blanket did not work. When I went to the front desk in the morning and told them about these problems, I was not offered any refund and when I asked for a later check out at noon, I was told this was unacceptable but 11 am was ok. Every other hotel/motel I have been in New Zealand offered excellent customer service. I would not recommend this motel.

Fridge gurgled all night. Otherwise fine.

Good quiet place for ferry users to get a night of rest, but fairly basic with no coffee maker etc.

Great location for Picton stay

Great motel, but location and value, and it was kept very clean. We had to check out early to catch our ferry and the staff was very accommodating.

Large spacious rooms. Comfortable beds. Great location. We had the luxury studio with the jacuzzi. Note that the water pressure for the shower was just so-so. We had stayed at another room earlier with just a shower stall - the water pressure was fabulous in that room.

Fantastic accommodation

Great accommodation. My husband loved the jetted tubs as don't often get baths in accommodation. We are travelling for 4 months and it's one thing he misses. Great welcome from Quentin. We would stay longer next time we are in Picton. One of the best places we have stayed in New Zealand.

We spent 2 nights here after travelling from Christchurch to Picton on the Coastal Railway. About a 10 minute walk from the train station but only 5 minutes back into the heart of Picton. Very spacious and clean studio rooms. Plenty of off street parking although not required by us. Highly recommend if visiting Picton or transiting to the Ferry.

Nice large room with Kitchenette and a large bathroom. Nothing fancy, but great to spend a night. Supermarket is across the street and walkable to downtown Picton and very close to the inter island ferry terminal. Milk was provided for morning tea/coffee.

Property is delightful! It's cozy and charming and immaculate. Older property but very well maintained. Every room has a little bistro table and chairs outside and jig windows. Our room had a fabulous spa shower

We checked in late however the staff lady wait for us , kindly offer us a jar of fresh milk. Thank you

Spotless

This place was spotless. Clearly they move furniture and vacuum under all the furniture. How often does that happen? Reception was friendly and helpful. Location is great. I only needed a microwave and a frig but the there were also a couple of stove burners that could be handy. Also a couch which is nice if you are spending a couple of days. Note: there’s no elevator. The laundry was expensive and the dryer didn’t dry well. Otherwise all was great. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great place to stay, safe, quiet, clean and very convenient

Convenient location for ferry. friendly staff, comfortable bed and ample space and privacy. Walking distance to many food options. A little noisy in the evening with road/ferry traffic but nice and quiet at night. Had a decent sleep, refreshed and ready for the next day. Reception enquired if I would be leaving early the next morning and explained early check-out procedure clearly. Would happily stay again.

Property in a fantastic location within walking distance to everything with the supermarket right across the road.

My ferry was 5 hours late so I didn't arrive at the motet until 4.30am. They wouldn't give me a late check out until midday day which I thought wasn't very accommodating.

Great motel in Picton

Stayed here for 1 night with family. This is really a superb motel. The rooms are large and spacious. The bed is nice, with heating. There was a well furnished (and spacious) kitchen and a living area as well. Overall, really liked the place!! Located reasonably close to the ferry terminal. Quiet neighbourhood. Excellent value for money!

Really liked the new bathroom. Would like to have a blanket in room as I find duvets way too hot for me and the beds were hard. We all had sore backs in the morning.

On check in communication through Wotif hadn’t gone proper and I was given a unit with steps to entrance. I am mobility impaired and can not walk stairs which was emailed but couldn’t be retrieved and was obviously not received. However the lady at reception immediately gave us the accessible unit with parking spot. We were very grateful and had a great night at Jasmine Court motel.

This is a great location in Picton opposite the supermarket and 5 minutes walk to the water taxis. Everything very clean. Kitchenettes need an upgrade

1 night stay

1 Night stay in Picton, on tour of South Island of New Zealand.

It was fine for our needs. It needs a little maintenance work done but we alerted reception about it. An exhaust fan in the bathroom would be good. The bed was super comfy, the place was clean and comfortable and it was reasonably priced. Thank you.

We stayed here before getting the train to Picton. The room was comfortable and the hotel was convenient to shops & restaurants.

Ideal stopover for ferry or longer stay to explore

Easy checkin, convenient to port. Easy walk to town, comfortable bed. Close to carpark for early departure in the morning.

Comfortable place within easy walking distance to the ferry and harbour. Able to store luggage before checkin time, which was much appreciated.

The receptionist on check-in wasn't very friendly. There was an unpleasant odour in the room. When I mentioned this to the same receptionist she thanked me for letting her know but no apology.

Our unit was tasteful, clean and comfortable. excellent water pressure. we enjoyed the spa bath. We appreciated the quality crockery and glassware. We would definitely stay again, and we highly recommend Jasmine Court Motel. We do not drink tea or coffee - choice of hot chocolate would have been nice!

If all of Picton burnt down and Jasimine Court was the only motel standing I would sleep on street. I have traveled extensively, and this was the rudest reception I have every received. Totally unhelpful

Our visit at the Jasmine was absolutely fantastic. We stayed twice. Once for two days before our Queen Charlotte hike and again for three days after the hike. Both times were excellent. The staff is attentive and helpful. Karen at the front desk is great and ready to answer any of your questions. The hotel was kind enough to store our bags while we went out on the QC hike. The location of the property is excellent. A five minutes walk to the marina and port. Everything is close by. The grocery store is across the street. We loved our apartment room number 15. It’s extremely clean. Beds and pillows are comfy. We were lucky to have the same room both times. A small kitchen is available and is fully stocked. Thanks for making our stay in Picton so wonderful. We’d highly recommend the Jasmine and would stay again.
