We had a fabulous couple of days at the Palace. Akashdeep was absolutely amazing as were the rest of the staff. Very attentive, helpful and a very personalised experience. We will definitely be coming back to see and hear the beautiful peacocks in the morning over breakfast. Also to listen to the harmonious bansari ( Indian flute) in the morning and the cultural and classical performances in the evening. An absolute amazing experience staying in one of the most beautiful palaces in the pink city. !
Fabulous property. Great location. Steeped in history but very well updated
Good place to stay
great, beautiful!
Excellent property. Very helpful staff. Amazing hotel/palace. Food was very good, not spectacular. Breakfast buffet was very good, but had similar items most days. Overall execllent stay.
Definitely let our high expectations!
Properties tv and internet connectivity had issues.
Good hotel with clean and nice conditions. The staff have been very courteous. When there is a wedding on, it was quite loud with the music and drumming.
Beautiful hotel and property-- an oasis in the bustle of central Jaipur!
There was not enough options for western food.
Outstanding hotel, felt like royalty staying at the hotel. Convenient for sight seeing, food in restaurants amazing. Highly recommend.
It’s awesome hotel. good service, very nice clean.
Loved our stay...great staff that makes up for all the rest!!
Room was terrible and water leaking everywhere Pay so much money and it’s not worth it. I had to complain my second day of stay. They offer me other room . But since we are only staying for three nights We did not bother Please the restaurant staff omg they are so slow and service is very very poor
The property itself is beautiful.
Outstanding property
Amazing stay.
Amazing stay. Hospitality was great.
An amazing stay at the jai mahal palace, Jaipur.. Mesmerized by the hospitality shown by the people of Taj.. A must visit! Special thanks to Mr. Vishesh for being a wonderful host.
Great staff. Love the omelet
Their staff went above and beyond to make our stay very comfortable. We felt rather pempered at this property . From front desk, concierge and dining options were excellent . They made us feel like we were the only guests ( and there were many guests ) . They accommodated any request for dining you may have . Never stayed at a hotel where staff is so good Did I mention water pressure in showers is like Niagra falls - never seen before Definitely would stay again if opportunity comes
Amazing place with exceptional service .
Beautiful property with excellent staff
We enjoyed an utterly captivating and enchanting sojourn at the Jai Mahal. Our hearts were seized by the mesmerizing opulence that unfolded before us, a splendid palatial haven nestled in the heart of Jaipur. This was the very essence of the Indian grandeur and warmth we had long yearned to encounter. Our intentions were two-fold – to immerse ourselves in India's resplendent offerings, encompassing its remarkable landmarks, lavish lodgings, and legendary hospitality. Arriving on a sunlit afternoon, we were immediately immersed in a distinctive check-in process. Welcomed with a refreshing and invigorating ice-cool beverage, the strains of a welcoming Aarati with the traditional oil deep and the tikka adorned upon us painted a vivid tapestry of hospitality. Our gracious guide, Nisha, deftly shouldered the responsibility of shepherding us to our quarters, seamlessly acquainting us with the check-in protocols. Our gastronomic odyssey was nothing short of extraordinary. The culinary artisans, Chef Kuldeep Rajvanshi and Pradeep Kumar graced us with their artistry, extending an invitation to customize our repast to our liking. The resultant symphony of flavors eclipsed any previous gustatory encounters, resonating with the harmonious blend of traditional Rajasthani fare and continental delicacies. Even my discerning daughter, known for her selective palate, surrendered to the allure of these gastronomic delights. Simply wonderful experinece.
Very disappointed. The hotel was taken over by weddings and other events during our stay, which completely ruined the environment we were expecting from a heritage palace hotel. There was loud music playing till 2 AM - so loud that we couldn't go to sleep. There were drunk people in the hallways knocking on our doors. When we called the front desk, they didn't do anything about it. Not at all the level of service we expect from Taj, and not worth the price. Although the hotel is beautiful and the food was excellent, we would strongly recommend staying away from this place during the wedding or holiday season.
Lovely well managed property
Hospitality.
Excellent experience
Excellent. The staff at the hotel are amazing!
Beautiful property but the food could be better
Not really worth the money!
It’s overpriced according to the stay. They don’t feel u pampered as other hotels. A day prior we stayed at meredian. What an amazing stay. This property is good for oldies.
Our stay was amazing. This property not only looks beautiful but also serves delicious food with great hospitality. I can't thank enough to their staff for making our stay so comfortable and amazing. 10 out of 10 to their hospitality.
Living History.
Excellent property and a great example of the Taj service. The breakfast is not necessarily well organized and the selection limited. On that note we were upgraded to a ‘deluxe room’ (I was told) and the rooms are not that large as well. The duty manager Akashdeep needs a special mention. He was courteous, got things organized in a jiffy and provided us with one of the most courteous drivers that I have experienced- Mr Balbir Singh. Overall a great experience but then we were there during the week (it got crowded the day we left which was a Sat) and there no wedding happening there!!
Awesome staff !
The room itself was nice. Good food and nice amenities. But considering we had booked a luxury room with a garden view at the palace, we were a bit disappointed with the conditions of the garden and the nonexistent view of the room. The gardens were poorly maintained and have stayed at other properties at a similar standard in different locations I was a bit underwhelmed by the Palace, a stay I was looking forward to.
I could spend a wonderful time.
I had booked a room at Jai Mahal. However, due to some inevitable reason I had to cancel my reservation. I requested the hotel to provide me some refund or stay credit. To my dismay, I received a flat no as a response. I was neither provided a refund nor stay credit. Overall, a very poor experience...
A former princely palace upgraded to a Hotel. Overall a great stay, well located within Jaipur and convenient access to most attractions. Some things I would have liked are a better gym with an attached Sauna or Steam Room and heated pool. Something that does cause problems but are out of control for the hotel are simply the excessive number of pigeons and the poop that comes with it.
Amazing staff , great location and amenities, excellent food .. would love to come back again .
Beautiful historical property. Very well maintained. Rooms typical of this type of property.
Location, staff and service was excellent. Breakfast was especially good value and a great start to the day.
The staff had difficulty handling unusual situations ( a room change; corrections to bill, etc)
Everything was great
Excellent hotel, good value and great service
The stay was excellent and the staff were very attentive, especially Balwant, our waiter, he was very caring.
Beautiful and well maintained property. I enjoyed my stay
Amazing service, great food and ambience. You feel really royal.
The palace grounds are beautiful and peaceful, and the service is top-notch. The breakfast buffet was also wonderful, as were the spa services. Nothing to complain about here.
great! Good facility, nice hospitality. I want to stay there again
Great property with tasteful decor, lush gardens and relaxed atmosphere. The entire property is very clean and well maintained. Room size is very comfortable We had a king room with an extra bed and still had lots of extra space. Beds and pillows are also very comfortable. We tried all the restaurants and loved the food. Pool and Spa were great. What really makes this beautiful hotel extra special is the service. The staff is fantastic and extremely responsive and helpful. Everyone goes above and beyond to take care of the guest. We would most certainly go back to this hotel.
Highly Recommended
Fantastic hotel! Beautiful property and wonderful people. The customer service and hospitality was superior. Thank you for providing us with such an excellent experience while we were in India. We'll be back!
Amazing
It was amazing , Taj is always great
An Oasis
A stay at Jai Mahal Palace was the perfect mini-vacation within my travels. The staff was outstanding- especially the women who work in reception. As a female solo traveler, I had been surprised by how few women I encountered in my travels (most hotels and restaurant are completely staffed by men). It was wonderful to come back from a day of shopping and sightseeing and be welcomed by them. The grounds are breathtaking and the rooms are stunningly furnished and luxurious. The food is delicious- I especially enjoyed their Green Thai Curry! Thank you to the entire staff who made my 5-day stay so relaxing.
Perfect Indian Hotel
I would say spotless, and you can find bunch of activities (cultural and leisure) going on in the hotels which is perfect for solo travellers.
caring staff and humble very good service and excellent property.
Disliked Government Sales Tax being added to the bill
Hotel looks & is superb...Staff are very polite & attend to your every request promptly....clean....food is excellent & thankyou to Kuldip the chef he is friendly & a fantastic chef......we will definitely be back & we recommend this hotel.....thankyou you made our stay pleasurable & memorable
One of a Kind experience!!!
Especial Thanks to Ms. Pooja; Chef Barman and other that makes my celebration unique!!!!
Jay Mahal Palace - a Jaipur gem!
Fantastic! Lots of great staff including Shreshti and Pooja at the check in and check out, Arihant and Sachin at the Marble arch and chef Burman at the egg counter at breakfast to name a few. All excellent! The ever smiling Vandana (Security) at entrance to the Palace.
Jai Mahal is a treasure of a hotel. Right in Jaipur, it's a beautiful old palace with gorgeous grounds. You will not find a better staff anywhere, more gracious, caring service. And the food. The Indian restaurant, Cinnamon, is one of the finest restaurants anywhere. Superb, flavorful cooking. We'd frankly come back to this beautiful place just for this food. A master chef. The Hotel itself is an oasis in a bustling city.
Overall a pleasant stay. Very clean. The food was really good in the Marble Arch restaurant. But the Hotel needs major renovation, room doors need replacing as they don’t close properly and wide gaps can be seen. Towels are worn out. Bidet sprays need to be installed in bathrooms.
Royal treatment
If you want to be treated like royalty, this is the place to be. Excellent service and exceptional food with an ambience that bings in the local culture and traditions.
Restaurant food for breakfast was good but above bar restaurant not so good
For the EXORBITANT amount we paid to stay there, this Hotel was EXCEPTIONALLY HORRIBLE. Here's why: a. Breakfast: Everything we ordered was cooked so badly that we had to send dishes back because of strange smells (I am an Indian and I know what Indian food smells like - this was awful) b. The Hotel is a Taj Heritage site and Mr Ratan Tata should come visit this Hotel because knowing How Proud He is of the Tata Brand, he would be so disappointed at the state of disarray the Hotel is in c. There was dirt and unfinished repair or looked like the maintenance was just so low that it looked neglected d. I WILL NEVER EVERY STAY HERE AGAIN!!
The photos are misleading. It’s a run down hotel and the bathroom stunk. I don’t know how this is supposed to be a luxurious hotel when there is nothing about it that is luxurious.
Lovely palace mahal, we were invited to annual cake mixing on the first day. Staying at heritage hotel great feel. X
Beautiful hotel and well maintained, excellent service. Exceeded our expectations. The food was superb. We would definitely stay here again!
Wow!!!!
From the moment we drove up to this hotel, we knew we were in for a treat. The hotel is beautiful inside and out, the grounds are immaculately kept and the rooms are just fantastic (thanks Madana). But what made it a 5 star stay was the unbelievable, courteous, friendly staff. They could not do enough for us, we felt so comfortable and welcome. The location is perfect with everything in easy reach.
Great stay
Very comfortable, great service and good food!
not service of 5 star hotel
I had problems with check in because hotel didn't find my reservation, they didn't tell me that my stay include breakfast. Last day I knew about a breakfast I stayed 15 min in queue for omlet cooking. Wi Fi is very bad, finaly it wasn't work
Little oasis away from the chaos! #indredibleindia
With one exception, pretty much everything was at a very high standard includung Staff attentivness, Cleanliness,Amenities. The exception: The table in the Garden sit out of the suite was very wobbly and could not hold any tea cups with stability( there was spillage).Perhaps the rainy season swells the wood unevenly and thus imbalances it.Thus we could not make the most of the sit out.
It did feel like a heritage hotel. The grounds were lush and immaculate. It was a pleasure to walk around in the evening. And the evening entertainment was a pleasure to watch.
Very big garden
Very good releasing staying and very good thali veg.
Awesome is every way. The building is beautiful, everyone is so welcoming and friendly, the facilities are great. It's an experience you will never forget.
A truly royal experience! Got a free upgrade to a suite, amazing dining and memorable entertainment at night!
Great facility and environment. Extremely good service, people is very kind and supportive. We enjoyed daily shows morning and night.
Amazing
Beautiful hotel, service excellent, highly recommend
Beautiful palace in the middle of the city
Excellent service and food with a personal touch. Only issue was that wifi was down for a while one morning. But anything we asked for - food to be packed for travels, restaurant service, tours of the facilities - was done with care and grace. Would definitely stay there again. Great, unique experience.
Beautiful hotel
Had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Good food and pleasant staff .
Pleasing green space in central Jaipur.
We used the Jai Mahal for four days as a base for visiting the sights of Jaipur. Amid the hustle and bustle of an Indian city it was a tranquil and restful setting. The breakfast and dinner buffets were varied and tasty and the chef and waiters were pleased to explain the more exotic dishes.
Felt royal
We felt royal here! The service, food and ambiance is absolutely fantastic. The 110V power outlet or the lack there of was the only inconvienenve we had.
We got a free cake and a room upgrade when we told them that we were newly married :P
Royal stay
The moment you enter the grounds of Jai Mahal, you are transported to a different world.from the check in to every aspect there was a personal touch and at the same time not being intrusive. The breakfast was excellent with both Indian and western selection. Special mention to Moolchand at Marble arch who took great care of us. We did not get to experience the restaurants and other facilities as were in Jaipur for a function.
Extremely nice hotel
This is a palace converted to a hotel and provides a heritage place to stay.
A 5 star hotel indeed
it was a wonderful experience at the last leg of our road trip , hotel room was comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful
Stayed in a palace, were not dissapointed.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the hotel. Service, food, comfort and setting were all amazing. India has a lot of "5 star" hotels which would not be even 4 in the west. This hotel more than exceeded our expectations. Will definitely stay here again if we come back to Jaipur.
Lives up to the Taj reputation
Absolutely lovely property and wonderful staff. Highly recommended!
Pleasant with room for improvement.
Where pleasant hotel in general but slightly under the expectations of the taj group regular performance . Site of hotel and layout is very pleasant, and as always individually the service personel is attentive and friendly however the service organisation in the italian as well as in the continental restaurant is insufficently organised which leads to confustion between waiters and waiting time for service which is longer than one could expect. We visited the hotel during the wedding period in india and could observe the preparation and the wedding itself processing on the lawn in front of our room. we loved the discovery and inclusion , maybe others may be disturbed and should be informed.
Glorious building , warmest of welcomes and always attentive staff
Palace hotel
Overall very enjoyable Pros : staff. Facility room , Cons. : breakfast varieties ,
Very good hotel and staff. Excellent service, good location.
A good hotel but on the way down
This was my third time at the Hotel, and unfortunately since the last time the overhead railway has been built which spoils the setting of the hotel. Bad town planning ! The hotel prices are excessive. Two examples: - a buffet evening meal for five cost £170. Five minutes away a very good Indian restaurant - Spice charged £70 the following evening. - Hotel wanted to charge for a car to trip to Agra £240. All the web sites for one way taxis charged £70 (the price we paid). I am not sure how long the hotel can carry on charging these high prices. The Indian dancing in the evening didn't change for three consecutive nights. I think if the Hotel is to continue charging ridiculous prices it needs to seriously improve.
The Jai Mahal is an oasis in a busy city!!
The Jai Mahal is uniquely placed in the middle of Jaipur. The Jai has many acres of green space that can be used for many sporting activities. Peacocks strut around the grounds which gives the Jai Mahal an extra special feel. The food and service was excellent. The first night we ate at the Italian restaurant. It was very appearent the Chef had experience in Milan during his cooking apprentiship. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. The person who served us was gentleman name Mool. Mool made sure that our every need was met. He became close to all of our family members during our stay. Mool also made sure that he was present when we checked out of the hotel. We appreciate Mool's service!!
Everything nice only wash rooms were not as per std
Almost perfect hotel
Overall, great hotel. Service is top notch. Facility is fantastic. Breakfast French toast best ever.
I enjoyed this place, very relaxing
It wasn't our most expensive or the cheapest but overall it was relaxing. My daughter enjoyed instagram photographs with the very large chess set. The pool was interesting. Very helpful staff but a hell of a lot of pigeons that made interesting photographs but could upset other guests. We enjoyed the cultural show at night and our breakfast was nice. Its very indian with few tourists when we visited but I feel the value for the room and service was worth the visit. We only stayed one night but no complaints.
Fabulous!
Fabulous in every way! Definitely get the breakfast option and consider a couples massage (amazing.)
Beautiful hotel and such friendly staff, food was also over the top !
Luxury and tranquillity in the midst of city
Wonderful stay with family and exceptional service.
Royal property
It was nice stay in all aspects we enjoyed lot
Style over substance & poor value
Beautiful hotel and grounds but considering the price it was poor value for money. the breakfast service was a bit of a shambles, the pool was freezing, our room had no windows other than a small frosted glass at the back. Food and drinks were at least twice the price of other hotels we stayed at which also had better rooms at half the price. although not too far from centre it took almost an hour every time we went in.
Jai Mahal Palace | Hotel in Jaipur | Travala.com
Prices are too high compared to other palaces. Food was okay. There is nothing special in their activities.
